3 Nicht3756 sage3004 ich solches, euch zu4314 verdammen2633; denn1063 ich habe droben zuvor gesagt4280, daß3754 ihr2075 in1722 unserm2257 Herzen2588 seid, mitzusterben4880 und1519 mitzuleben4800.

3 I speak3004 not this to condemn2633 you: for I have said4280 before,4280 that you are in our hearts2588 to die4880 and live4800 with you.

4 Ich3427 rede mit1909 großer4183 Freudigkeit3954 zu4314 euch5209; ich3427 rühme2746 viel4183 von5228 euch5216; ich bin erfüllet4137 mit Trost3874; ich bin überschwenglich5248 in Freuden5479 in aller3956 unserer2257 Trübsal2347.

5 Denn da2532 wir2257 nach1519 Mazedonien3109 kamen2064, hatte2192 unser2257 Fleisch4561 keine3762 Ruhe425, sondern235 allenthalben3956 waren wir in1722 Trübsal2346: auswendig1855 Streit3163, inwendig2081 Furcht5401.

8 For though1499 I made3076 you sorry3076 with a letter,1992 I do not repent,3338 though1499 I did repent:3338 for I perceive991 that the same1565 letter1992 has made3076 you sorry,3076 though1499 it were but for a season.5610

9 so freue5463 ich mich1722 doch nun3568, nicht3756 darüber, daß3754 ihr seid2596 betrübt3076 worden, sondern235 daß3754 ihr seid betrübt3076 worden zur1519 Reue3341. Denn1063 ihr seid göttlich2316 betrübt3076 worden, daß2443 ihr von1537 uns2257 ja keinen3367 Schaden2210 irgend worinnen nehmet.

9 Now3568 I rejoice,5463 not that you were made3076 sorry,3076 but that you sorrowed3076 to repentance:3341 for you were made3076 sorry3076 after2596 a godly2596 2316 manner, that you might receive2210 damage2210 by us in nothing.3367

10 Denn1063 die göttliche Traurigkeit3077 wirket zur1519 Seligkeit4991 eine Reue3341, die niemand gereuet; die Traurigkeit3077 aber1161 der Welt2889 wirket den2596 Tod2288.

10 For godly2596 2316 sorrow3077 works2716 repentance3341 to salvation4991 not to be repented278 of: but the sorrow3077 of the world2889 works2716 death.2288

11 Siehe2400, dasselbige, daß1438 ihr846 göttlich2316 seid1511 betrübt3076 worden, welchen4214 Fleiß4710 hat2716 es5124 in1722 euch5209 gewirket, dazu235 Verantwortung627, Zorn24, Furcht5401, Verlangen1972, Eifer2205, Rache1557! Ihr235 habt4921 euch5213 beweiset in1722 allen2596 Stücken3956, daß ihr235 rein53 seid an der Tat.

11 For behold2400 this5124 selfsame846 thing, that you sorrowed3076 after2596 a godly2596 2316 sort, what4214 carefulness4710 it worked2716 in you, yes,235 what clearing627 of yourselves, yes,235 what indignation,24 yes,235 what fear,5401 yes,235 what vehement1972 desire,1972 yes,235 what zeal,2205 yes,235 what revenge!1557 In all3956 things you have approved4921 yourselves1438 to be clear53 in this3588 matter.4229

12 Darum1752, ob1499 ich euch5213 geschrieben1125 habe, so ist‘s doch nicht3756 geschehen um1752 deswillen, der beleidiget hat91, auch2532 nicht3761 um1752 deswillen, der beleidiget ist, sondern235 um5228 deswillen, daß4314 euer Fleiß4710 gegen uns2257 offenbar würde5319 bei euch5216 vor1799 GOtt2316.

12 Why,686 though1499 I wrote1125 to you, I did it not for his cause1752 that had done91 the wrong,91 nor3761 for his cause1752 that suffered wrong,91 but that our care4710 for you in the sight1799 of God2316 might appear5319 to you.

13 Derhalben sind wir getröstet3870 worden, daß5124 ihr846 getröstet3874 seid. Überschwenglicher aber1161 haben wir uns5216 noch3123 mehr4056 gefreuet über1909 die575 Freude5479 des Titus5103; denn3754 sein Geist4151 ist erquicket an1909 euch5216 allen3956.

13 Therefore1223 5124 we were comforted3870 in your5213 comfort:3874 yes, and exceedingly4056 the more3123 joyed5463 we for the joy5479 of Titus,5103 because3754 his spirit4151 was refreshed373 by you all.3956

14 Denn3754 was1536 ich2980 vor1909 ihm846 von5228 euch5216 gerühmet habe, bin ich nicht3756 zuschanden worden; sondern235 gleichwie5613 alles3956 wahr225 ist1096, was3588 ich mit1722 euch5213 geredet habe, also3779 ist auch2532 unser2257 Rühmen2744 vor Titus5103 wahr225 worden.

14 For if1487 I have boasted2744 any1536 thing to him of you, I am not ashamed;2617 but as we spoke2980 all3956 things to you in truth,225 even2532 so3779 our boasting,2746 which3588 I made before1909 Titus,5103 is found1096 a truth.225

15 Und2532 er1209 ist2076 überaus4056 herzlich4698 wohl an1519 euch5209, wenn er gedenket363 an euer5216 aller3956 Gehorsam5218, wie5613 ihr846 ihn mit3326 Furcht5401 und2532 Zittern5156 habt aufgenommen.

15 And his inward4698 affection4698 is more4056 abundant4056 toward1519 you, whilst he remembers363 the obedience5218 of you all,3956 how5613 with fear5401 and trembling5156 you received1209 him.

16 Ich2292 freue mich1722, daß3754 ich mich zu1722 euch5463 alles3956 versehen darf.
|
16 I rejoice5463 therefore that I have confidence2292 in you in all3956 things.
