1 Вот слово ГОСПОДНЕ, которое было Софонии, сыну Куши, внуку Гедальи, правнуку Амарьи, праправнуку Езекии, когда в Иудее правил Иосия, сын Амона.
2 «Смету, всех с лица земли смету, — таково слово ГОСПОДНЕ, —
3 и людей уничтожу, и животных, птиц небесных, рыб морских и идолов, их изображающих, вместе со злодеями уничтожу — истреблю с лица земли весь род людской!» — таково вещее слово ГОСПОДА!
4 «Занесу на Иуду руку и на всех жителей Иерусалима, прочь смету всё, что от ваалов осталось, забудут имена жрецов и священников, что с ними заодно,
5 уничтожу тех, кто поклоняется луне и звездам на крышах, тех, кто дает обет пред ГОСПОДОМ и, Ему поклоняясь, служит Молоху и им клянется,
6 кто за ГОСПОДОМ идти не захотел и не искал Его, о Нем не вопрошал».
7 Да смолкнет голос твойперед Владыкой ГОСПОДОМ! Ибо близок День ГОСПОДЕНЬ: заклание жертвенное Он приготовил, приглашенных очистил.
8 «В день жертвы ГОСПОДНЕЙ накажу согрешающих: не обойду ни князей, ни сыновей царских, ни тех, кто в чужеземные одежды рядится.
9 Воздам в тот день всем, кто суеверно на порог ступить боится, а дом владыки своего наполняет насилием и обманом.
10 И будут в тот день, — говорит ГОСПОДЬ, — вопли слышны у Рыбных ворот, рыдание в новом городе, а на холмах — великое разрушение!
11 Рыдай и ты, нижний город: сметут купцов твоих алчных, истребят и тех, кто деньги считал!
12 Обыщу Я тогда Иерусалим, взяв с Собой светильники, и воздам сидящим самодовольноу чаши полупустой, тем, кто говорит про себя: „Ничего ГОСПОДЬ не делает — ни добра от Него, ни зла“.
13 Разграбят богатство их, дома опустошат; построят дома, а жить в них не будут, насадят виноградники, а вина им пить не придется».
14 Близок великий День ГОСПОДЕНЬ, близок он и весьма скоро грядет! Горечь несет с собою День Господень, и страшен будет гул его, храбрейшие возопиют тогда!
15 Днем гнева будет день тот, беды днем и страданий, днем разорения и опустошения, днем мрака и тьмы, днем черных туч и мглы,
16 днем зова трубного и боевого клича, днем битвы против укрепленных городов и против башен высоких!
17 В смятение повергну людей, как слепые, они побредут, потому что против ГОСПОДА своего согрешили. Кровь их втопчут в грязь и останки их, как навоз, разбросают.
18 Не спасет их ни серебро, ни злато в день гнева ГОСПОДНЯ; огнь негодования Его всё на земле спалит — ибо страшный конец уготован Им для всех, кто на земле обитает.

5 And them that worship7812 the host6635 of heaven8064 on the housetops;1406 and them that worship7812 and that swear7650 by the LORD,3068 and that swear7650 by Malcham;4445
6 And them that are turned5472 back5253 from the LORD;3068 and those that have not sought1245 the LORD,3068 nor3808 inquired1875 for him.

12 And it shall come1961 to pass at that time,6256 that I will search2664 Jerusalem3389 with candles,5216 and punish6485 the men582 that are settled7087 on5921 their lees:8105 that say559 in their heart,3824 The LORD3068 will not do good,3190 neither3808 will he do evil.7451
13 Therefore their goods2428 shall become1961 a booty,4933 and their houses1004 a desolation:8047 they shall also build1129 houses,1004 but not inhabit3427 them; and they shall plant5193 vineyards,3754 but not drink8354 the wine3196 thereof.

12 Обыщу Я тогда Иерусалим, взяв с Собой светильники, и воздам сидящим самодовольноу чаши полупустой, тем, кто говорит про себя: „Ничего ГОСПОДЬ не делает — ни добра от Него, ни зла“.

16 днем зова трубного и боевого клича, днем битвы против укрепленных городов и против башен высоких!

17 В смятение повергну людей, как слепые, они побредут, потому что против ГОСПОДА своего согрешили. Кровь их втопчут в грязь и останки их, как навоз, разбросают.
