Книга Иисуса Навина

Глава 11

1 Когда Явин, царь Хацора, услышал об этом, отправил он гонцов к Йоваву, царю Мадона, к царям Шимрона и Ахшафа

2 и к царям, чьи царства были на северных нагорьях, в Иорданской долине к югу от Киннерета, в низинах и в холмистой местности Дор на западе.

3 Отправил он гонцов и к ханаанеям, жившим на востоке и на западе, к амореям, хеттам, периззеям, евусеям — жителям нагорной страны, и к хиввеям, чьи владения у подножия горы Ермон, в земле Мицпа.

4 И вышли цари на битву, каждый со своим войском. Народу у них было несчетно, что песку на морском берегу, и столь же много лошадей и колесниц.

5 И объединили все цари свои войска, и подошли к водам Мерома и остановились там, чтобы сразиться с израильтянами.

6 Но ГОСПОДЬ сказал Иисусу: «Не бойся их, ибо завтра в это же время Я предам их смерти перед Израилем. Лошадям их ты подрежешь подколенные сухожилия, а колесницы их сожжешь дотла».

7 Иисус со своими воинами подошел к водам Мерома и внезапно напал на врагов.

8 И предал их ГОСПОДЬ в руки израильтян: израильтяне сокрушили их и преследовали до Сидона Великого, до Мисрефот-Маима и долины Мицпе, что на востоке. Израильтяне уничтожали их до тех пор, пока никого из них не осталось в живых.

9 Тогда Иисус сделал так, как повелел ему ГОСПОДЬ: лошадям их подрезал сухожилия, а колесницы сжег.

10 Потом Иисус возвратился и захватил Хацор — так как Хацор в то время стоял во главе этих царств. Царя его он убил мечом.

11 И всех, кто был в городе, израильтяне предали заклятию, истребив мечом, и не оставили там никого в живых. Сам Хацор Иисус сжег дотла.

12 Взял Иисус все эти города и царей их захватил и истребил мечом, предав заклятию, как повелел Моисей, слуга ГОСПОДЕНЬ.

13 Но те города, что стояли на холмах, израильтяне не сожгли — один только Хацор был сожжен по приказу Иисуса.

14 Скот из этих городов израильтяне увели с собой, забрав также всё ценное, а всех жителей истребили мечом, не оставили никого в живых.

15 Как ГОСПОДЬ повелел слуге Своему Моисею и как Моисей завещал Иисусу, так и сделал Иисус. Ничего не упустил он из того, что ГОСПОДЬ повелел Моисею.

16 Так завоевал Иисус все эти земли: нагорья и пустыню Негев, всю землю Гошен и низины, пустыню Арава, нагорья Израилевы и долины —

17 от горы Халак близ Сеира и до самого Баал-Гада в долине Ливанской, у подножья горы Ермон. А всех царей он взял в плен и предал смерти.

18 Долго Иисус вел войну со всеми этими царями.

19 Ни один город не заключил мирного союза с израильтянами, кроме хиввеев, жителей Гивона. Всех остальных израильтяне разбили в сражениях.

20 Ибо Сам ГОСПОДЬ попустил им коснеть в упрямстве своем, они противостояли Израилю и были уничтожены, безжалостно стерты с лица земли, как повелел ГОСПОДЬ Моисею.

21 Затем Иисус выступил в поход, чтобы истребить всех потомков Анака, живших в нагорьях — в Хевроне, Девире, Анаве, в горах иудейских и Израилевых. И предал Иисус заклятию потомков Анака и их города.

22 Не осталось в живых ни одного потомка Анака в землях израильтян, кроме немногих в Газе, в Гате и в Ашдоде.

23 Так завоевал Иисус всю эту землю, как и говорил ГОСПОДЬ Моисею. И ввел Иисус израильтян в их наследие, распределив земли между коленами. И прекратились войны в этой стране, настал мир.

Joshua

Chapter 11

1 AND when Nabin king of Hazur heard of these things, he sent to Jobab king of Meron, and to the king of Shamrin, and to the king of Achshaph,

2 And to the kings that were north of him in the mountains, and to the south, and in the plain of Chinnereth, and in the valleys and in Napotdor on the west,

3 And to the Canaanites on the east and on the west, and to the Amorites and the Hittites and the Perizzites and the Jebusites in the mountains, and to the Hivites below mount Hermon in the land of Mizpeh.

4 And they came out with all their hosts, many people, as the sand that is upon the sea shore in multitude, with many horses and chariots.

5 And when all these kings were met together, they came and encamped together at the waters of Meron, and prepared to fight against Israel.

6 And the LORD said to Joshua, Do not be afraid of them; for tomorrow about this time I will cause them to be routed before Israel; and I will annihilate their horses and burn their chariots with fire.

7 So Joshua came suddenly to the waters of Meron, he and all the people of war who were with him; and they fell upon them.

8 And the LORD delivered them into the hand of Israel, who smote them and pursued them as far as great Zidon, and to the lake, and as far as the valley of Mizpeh eastward; and they smote them, and they left none remaining.

9 And Joshua did to them as the LORD had told him: he utterly destroyed their horses and burned their chariots with fire.

10 And Joshua at that time turned back and took Hazor, and slew its king with the sword; for Hazor before had been the head of all those kingdoms.

11 And they smote with the edge of the sword all the people that were in it, utterly destroying them; there was not a soul left among them; and he burned Hazor with fire.

12 And all the cities of those kings, and all their kings, Joshua took and smote them with the edge of the sword, and utterly destroyed them, as Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded him.

13 And all the towns that stood on the hills did Israel burn, and Joshua burned Hazor.

14 And all the spoil of these cities and the cattle, the children of Israel took for themselves; but every man they smote with the edge of the sword until they had annihilated them, and they did not leave a soul among them.

15 Just as the LORD had commanded Moses his servant, so did Moses command Joshua, and so did Joshua; he left nothing undone of all that the LORD had commanded Moses.

16 So Joshua took all that land, the mountain country and all the south country and all the land of the plain and all the mountains and their lowlands;

17 From mount Paleg that goes up to Seir, as far as Gadgad in the valley of Lebanon below mount Hermon; and all their kings Joshua took and slew.

18 Joshua made war for a long time with all those kings.

19 There was not a city that was not delivered up to the children of Israel, and they destroyed it, except the Hivites who dwell in Gibeon, whom Joshua allowed to live, and work for Israel. Now all these kingdoms are seven in number, and Joshua destroyed them all.

20 For it was of the LORD to encourage their hearts, that they should come against Israel in battle, that they might destroy them utterly, and that they might not have compassion upon them, but that they might destroy them, as the LORD had commanded Moses.

21 And at that time came Joshua and smote the giants who were in the mountains, from Hebron, from Debir, from Gebal and from all the mountains of Judah and from all the mountains of Israel; Joshua destroyed them utterly with their cities.

22 There was none of the giants left remaining in the land of the children of Israel; only in Gaza, in Gath, and in Ashdod, did any remain.

23 So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the LORD had spoken to Moses; and Joshua gave it as an inheritance to Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. And the land rested from war.

2 And to the kings that were north of him in the mountains, and to the south, and in the plain of Chinnereth, and in the valleys and in Napotdor on the west,

3 And to the Canaanites on the east and on the west, and to the Amorites and the Hittites and the Perizzites and the Jebusites in the mountains, and to the Hivites below mount Hermon in the land of Mizpeh.

4 И вышли цари на битву, каждый со своим войском. Народу у них было несчетно, что песку на морском берегу, и столь же много лошадей и колесниц.

4 And they came out with all their hosts, many people, as the sand that is upon the sea shore in multitude, with many horses and chariots.

5 И объединили все цари свои войска, и подошли к водам Мерома и остановились там, чтобы сразиться с израильтянами.

5 And when all these kings were met together, they came and encamped together at the waters of Meron, and prepared to fight against Israel.

6 Но ГОСПОДЬ сказал Иисусу: «Не бойся их, ибо завтра в это же время Я предам их смерти перед Израилем. Лошадям их ты подрежешь подколенные сухожилия, а колесницы их сожжешь дотла».

6 And the LORD said to Joshua, Do not be afraid of them; for tomorrow about this time I will cause them to be routed before Israel; and I will annihilate their horses and burn their chariots with fire.

7 Иисус со своими воинами подошел к водам Мерома и внезапно напал на врагов.

7 So Joshua came suddenly to the waters of Meron, he and all the people of war who were with him; and they fell upon them.

8 И предал их ГОСПОДЬ в руки израильтян: израильтяне сокрушили их и преследовали до Сидона Великого, до Мисрефот-Маима и долины Мицпе, что на востоке. Израильтяне уничтожали их до тех пор, пока никого из них не осталось в живых.

8 And the LORD delivered them into the hand of Israel, who smote them and pursued them as far as great Zidon, and to the lake, and as far as the valley of Mizpeh eastward; and they smote them, and they left none remaining.

9 Тогда Иисус сделал так, как повелел ему ГОСПОДЬ: лошадям их подрезал сухожилия, а колесницы сжег.

9 And Joshua did to them as the LORD had told him: he utterly destroyed their horses and burned their chariots with fire.

10 Потом Иисус возвратился и захватил Хацор — так как Хацор в то время стоял во главе этих царств. Царя его он убил мечом.

10 And Joshua at that time turned back and took Hazor, and slew its king with the sword; for Hazor before had been the head of all those kingdoms.

11 И всех, кто был в городе, израильтяне предали заклятию, истребив мечом, и не оставили там никого в живых. Сам Хацор Иисус сжег дотла.

11 And they smote with the edge of the sword all the people that were in it, utterly destroying them; there was not a soul left among them; and he burned Hazor with fire.

12 Взял Иисус все эти города и царей их захватил и истребил мечом, предав заклятию, как повелел Моисей, слуга ГОСПОДЕНЬ.

12 And all the cities of those kings, and all their kings, Joshua took and smote them with the edge of the sword, and utterly destroyed them, as Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded him.

13 Но те города, что стояли на холмах, израильтяне не сожгли — один только Хацор был сожжен по приказу Иисуса.

13 And all the towns that stood on the hills did Israel burn, and Joshua burned Hazor.

14 Скот из этих городов израильтяне увели с собой, забрав также всё ценное, а всех жителей истребили мечом, не оставили никого в живых.

14 And all the spoil of these cities and the cattle, the children of Israel took for themselves; but every man they smote with the edge of the sword until they had annihilated them, and they did not leave a soul among them.

15 Как ГОСПОДЬ повелел слуге Своему Моисею и как Моисей завещал Иисусу, так и сделал Иисус. Ничего не упустил он из того, что ГОСПОДЬ повелел Моисею.

15 Just as the LORD had commanded Moses his servant, so did Moses command Joshua, and so did Joshua; he left nothing undone of all that the LORD had commanded Moses.

16 Так завоевал Иисус все эти земли: нагорья и пустыню Негев, всю землю Гошен и низины, пустыню Арава, нагорья Израилевы и долины —

16 So Joshua took all that land, the mountain country and all the south country and all the land of the plain and all the mountains and their lowlands;

17 от горы Халак близ Сеира и до самого Баал-Гада в долине Ливанской, у подножья горы Ермон. А всех царей он взял в плен и предал смерти.

17 From mount Paleg that goes up to Seir, as far as Gadgad in the valley of Lebanon below mount Hermon; and all their kings Joshua took and slew.

18 Долго Иисус вел войну со всеми этими царями.

18 Joshua made war for a long time with all those kings.

19 Ни один город не заключил мирного союза с израильтянами, кроме хиввеев, жителей Гивона. Всех остальных израильтяне разбили в сражениях.

19 There was not a city that was not delivered up to the children of Israel, and they destroyed it, except the Hivites who dwell in Gibeon, whom Joshua allowed to live, and work for Israel. Now all these kingdoms are seven in number, and Joshua destroyed them all.

20 Ибо Сам ГОСПОДЬ попустил им коснеть в упрямстве своем, они противостояли Израилю и были уничтожены, безжалостно стерты с лица земли, как повелел ГОСПОДЬ Моисею.

20 For it was of the LORD to encourage their hearts, that they should come against Israel in battle, that they might destroy them utterly, and that they might not have compassion upon them, but that they might destroy them, as the LORD had commanded Moses.

21 Затем Иисус выступил в поход, чтобы истребить всех потомков Анака, живших в нагорьях — в Хевроне, Девире, Анаве, в горах иудейских и Израилевых. И предал Иисус заклятию потомков Анака и их города.

21 And at that time came Joshua and smote the giants who were in the mountains, from Hebron, from Debir, from Gebal and from all the mountains of Judah and from all the mountains of Israel; Joshua destroyed them utterly with their cities.

22 Не осталось в живых ни одного потомка Анака в землях израильтян, кроме немногих в Газе, в Гате и в Ашдоде.

22 There was none of the giants left remaining in the land of the children of Israel; only in Gaza, in Gath, and in Ashdod, did any remain.

23 Так завоевал Иисус всю эту землю, как и говорил ГОСПОДЬ Моисею. И ввел Иисус израильтян в их наследие, распределив земли между коленами. И прекратились войны в этой стране, настал мир.

23 So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the LORD had spoken to Moses; and Joshua gave it as an inheritance to Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. And the land rested from war.
