2-я книга Паралипоменон

Глава 25

1 Амазия сделался царем двадцати пяти лет, и царствовал в Иерусалиме двадцать девять лет; имя матери его Иегоадан, из Иерусалима,

2 И поступал он праведно пред очами Господа, однако не от полного сердца.

3 Когда утвердилось за ним царство, тогда он убил рабов своих, убивших царя, отца его.

4 Но детей их не умертвил, так как написано в книге Моисеевой, в законе, заповеданном Господом, и сказано: отцы не должны быть наказываемы смертью за детей, и дети не должны быть наказываемы смертью за отцев, но каждый должен быть наказываем смертью за свое преступление,

5 И собрал Амазия Иудеев, и расставил их по поколениям, по тысяченачальникам и по сотникам, всех Иудеев и Вениаминлян; и пересчитал их от двадцати лет и выше, и нашел их триста тысяч людей отборных, ходящих на войну с копьем и щитом.

6 И сверх того, нанял из Израильтян сто тысяч воинов за сто талантов серебра.

7 И подошел к нему человек Божий, и сказал: царь! войско Израильское пусть нейдет с тобою, потому что Господь не будет с Израильтянами, со всеми сынами Ефрема.

8 Но ты иди, делай дело мужественно, подвизайся на войне. Иначе Бог повергнет тебя пред лицом врага; ибо в Боге есть сила поддержать и повергнуть.

9 И сказал Амазия человеку Божию: что же делать со стами талантами, которые я отдал войску Израильскому? И сказал человек Божий: у Господа есть возможность дать тебе более сего.

10 И отделил их Амазия, то войско, которое пришло к нему из земли Ефремовой, и сказал, чтоб они шли в свое место. И сильно возгорелся гнев их на Иудею, и они пошли назад в свое место в пылу гнева.

11 А Амазия отважился и повел народ свой, и пошел на долину Соляную, и побил десять тысяч сынов Сеира.

12 И десять тысяч живых взяли Иудеи в плен. Сих привели они на вершину скалы, и низринули их с вершины скалы, и все они разбились в дребезги.

13 Между тем, принадлежавшие к тому войску, которое Амазия отослал обратно, чтоб оно не ходило с ним на войну, рассыпались по городам Иудеи, от Самарии до Вефорона, и перебили в них три тысячи, и награбили множество добычи,

14 Амазия, пришедши после поражения Идумеян, принес от сынов Сеира богов, и оставил их у себя богами, и кланялся пред ними, и кадил им.

15 И воспылал гнев Господа на Амазию, и послал Он к нему пророка, и сказал ему: зачем ты прибегаешь к богам сего народа, которые не избавили народа своего от руки твоей?

16 Когда он договорил ему, он сказал: разве советником царским поставили тебя? перестань. На что доводить до того, чтоб убили тебя? И замолчал пророк, сказав: я знаю, что Бог определил погубить тебя, потому что ты сделал сие, и не слушаешь моего совета.

17 Амазия, царь Иудейский, посоветовавшись, послал к царю Израильскому Иоасу, сыну Иоахаза, сына Иуева, сказать: выходи; повидаемся лично.

18 И послал Иоас, царь Израильский, к Амазии, царю Иудейскому, сказать: терн, который на Ливане, послал к кедру, который на Ливане же, сказать: отдай дочь свою в жену сыну моему. Но дикие звери, которые на Ливане, прошли и истоптали этот терн.

19 Ты говорил: вот я побил Идумеян, и сердце твое надмевает тебя, чтобы величаться. Сиди лучше у себя дома. К чему тебе затевать ссору на свою беду? Падешь ты, и с тобою Иудея.

20 Но Амазия не послушался; потому что так устроено было Богом, чтобы предать их в руку врага за то, что стали прибегать к богам Идумейским.

21 И выступил Иоас, царь Израильский, и увиделись лично, он и Амазия, царь Иудейский, в Бефшемеше Иудейском.

22 И разбиты Иудеи Израильтянами, и разбежались по шатрам своим.

23 И Амазию, царя Иудейского, сына Иоаса, сына Иоахазова, захватил Иоас, царь Израильский, в Бефшемеше и привел его в Иерусалим, и разрушил стену Иерусалимскую от ворот Ефремовых до ворот угольных, на четыреста локтей.

24 И взял все золото, и серебро и все сосуды, находившиеся в доме Божием, у Овед-Едома, и сокровища царского дома, и заложников, и возвратился в Самарию.

25 По смерти Иоаса, сына Иоахазова, царя Израильского, Амазия, сын Иоасов, царь Иудейский, жил пятнадцать лет.

26 Прочие деяния Амазии, первые и последние, описаны в книге царей Иудейских и Израильских.

27 После того времени, как Амазия отступил от Господа, составили против него в Иерусалиме заговор, и убежал он в Лахис. И послали за ним в Лахис, и там умертвили его.

28 И привезли его на конях, и похоронили его с отцами его в городе Иудейском.

Chapter 25

1 Amaziah558 was twenty6242 and five2568 years8141 old1121 when he began to reign,4427 and he reigned4427 twenty6242 and nine8672 years8141 in Jerusalem.3389 And his mother's517 name8034 was Jehoaddan3086 of Jerusalem.3389

2 And he did6213 that which was right3477 in the sight5869 of the LORD,3068 but not with a perfect8003 heart.3824

3 Now it came1961 to pass, when834 the kingdom4467 was established2388 to him, that he slew2026 his servants5650 that had killed5221 the king4428 his father.25

4 But he slew4191 not their children,1121 but did as it is written3789 in the law8451 in the book5612 of Moses,4872 where834 the LORD3068 commanded,6680 saying,559 The fathers1 shall not die4191 for the children,1121 neither3808 shall the children1121 die4191 for the fathers,1 but every man376 shall die4191 for his own sin.2403

5 Moreover Amaziah558 gathered6908 Judah3063 together, and made them captains8269 over thousands,505 and captains8269 over hundreds,3967 according to the houses1004 of their fathers,1 throughout all3605 Judah3063 and Benjamin:1144 and he numbered6485 them from twenty6242 years8141 old1121 and above,4605 and found4672 them three7969 hundred3967 thousand505 choice970 men, able to go3318 forth3318 to war,6635 that could handle270 spear7420 and shield.6793

6 He hired7936 also an hundred3967 thousand505 mighty1368 men of valor2428 out of Israel3478 for an hundred3967 talents3603 of silver.3701

7 But there came935 a man376 of God430 to him, saying,559 O king,4428 let not the army6635 of Israel3478 go935 with you; for the LORD3068 is not with Israel,3478 to wit, with all3605 the children1121 of Ephraim.669

8 But if518 you will go,935 do6213 it; be strong2388 for the battle:4421 God430 shall make you fall3782 before6440 the enemy:341 for God430 has3426 power3581 to help,5826 and to cast3782 down.3782

9 And Amaziah558 said559 to the man376 of God,430 But what4100 shall we do6213 for the hundred3967 talents3603 which834 I have given5414 to the army1416 of Israel?3478 And the man376 of God430 answered,559 The LORD3068 is able to give5414 you much7235 more7235 than this.2088

10 Then Amaziah558 separated914 them, to wit, the army1416 that was come935 to him out of Ephraim,669 to go3212 home4725 again: why their anger639 was greatly3966 kindled2734 against Judah,3063 and they returned7725 home4725 in great2750 anger.639

11 And Amaziah558 strengthened2388 himself, and led5090 forth his people,5971 and went3212 to the valley1516 of salt,4417 and smote5221 of the children1121 of Seir8165 ten6235 thousand.505

12 And other ten6235 thousand505 left alive2416 did the children1121 of Judah3063 carry7617 away captive,7617 and brought935 them to the top7218 of the rock,5553 and cast7993 them down from the top7218 of the rock,5553 that they all3605 were broken1234 in pieces.

13 But the soldiers1121 of the army1416 which834 Amaziah558 sent7725 back,7725 that they should not go3212 with him to battle,4421 fell6584 on the cities5892 of Judah,3063 from Samaria8111 even to Bethhoron,1032 and smote5221 three7969 thousand505 of them, and took much7227 spoil.961

14 Now it came1961 to pass, after310 that Amaziah558 was come935 from the slaughter5221 of the Edomites,130 that he brought935 the gods430 of the children1121 of Seir,8165 and set5975 them up to be his gods,430 and bowed7812 down7812 himself before6440 them, and burned6999 incense6999 to them.

15 Why the anger639 of the LORD3068 was kindled2734 against Amaziah,558 and he sent7971 to him a prophet,5030 which said559 to him, Why4100 have you sought1875 after the gods430 of the people,5971 which834 could not deliver5337 their own people5971 out of your hand?3027

16 And it came1961 to pass, as he talked1696 with him, that the king said559 to him, Are you made5414 of the king's4428 counsel?3289 forbear;2308 why4100 should you be smitten?5221 Then the prophet5030 declined,2308 and said,559 I know3045 that God430 has determined3289 to destroy7843 you, because3588 you have done6213 this,2063 and have not listened8085 to my counsel.6098

17 Then Amaziah558 king4428 of Judah3063 took advice,3289 and sent7971 to Joash,3101 the son1121 of Jehoahaz,3059 the son1121 of Jehu,3058 king4428 of Israel,3478 saying,559 Come,3212 let us see7200 one another in the face.6440

18 And Joash3101 king4428 of Israel3478 sent7971 to Amaziah558 king4428 of Judah,3063 saying,559 The thistle2336 that was in Lebanon3844 sent7971 to the cedar730 that was in Lebanon,3844 saying,559 Give5414 your daughter1323 to my son1121 to wife:802 and there passed5674 by a wild7704 beast2416 that was in Lebanon,3844 and stepped7429 down the thistle.2336

19 You say,559 See,2009 you have smitten5221 the Edomites;130 and your heart3820 lifts5375 you up to boast:3513 abide3427 now6258 at home;1004 why4100 should you meddle1624 to your hurt,7451 that you should fall,5307 even you, and Judah3063 with you?

20 But Amaziah558 would not hear;8085 for it came of God,430 that he might deliver5414 them into the hand3027 of their enemies, because3588 they sought1875 after the gods430 of Edom.123

21 So Joash3101 the king4428 of Israel3478 went5927 up; and they saw7200 one another in the face,6440 both he and Amaziah558 king4428 of Judah,3063 at Bethshemesh,1053 which834 belongs to Judah.3063

22 And Judah3063 was put to the worse5062 before6440 Israel,3478 and they fled5127 every man376 to his tent.168

23 And Joash3101 the king4428 of Israel3478 took8610 Amaziah558 king4428 of Judah,3063 the son1121 of Joash,3101 the son1121 of Jehoahaz,3059 at Bethshemesh,1053 and brought935 him to Jerusalem,3389 and broke6555 down the wall2346 of Jerusalem3389 from the gate8179 of Ephraim669 to the corner6437 gate,8179 four702 hundred3967 cubits.520

24 And he took all3605 the gold2091 and the silver,3701 and all3605 the vessels3627 that were found4672 in the house1004 of God430 with Obededom,5654 and the treasures214 of the king's4428 house,1004 the hostages1121 8594 also, and returned7725 to Samaria.8111

25 And Amaziah558 the son1121 of Joash3101 king4428 of Judah3063 lived2421 after310 the death4194 of Joash3101 son1121 of Jehoahaz3059 king4428 of Israel3478 fifteen2568 6240 years.8141

26 Now the rest3499 of the acts1697 of Amaziah,558 first7223 and last,314 behold,2009 are they not written3789 in the book5612 of the kings4428 of Judah3063 and Israel?3478

27 Now after the time6256 that Amaziah558 did turn5493 away from following310 the LORD3068 they made a conspiracy7195 against5921 him in Jerusalem;3389 and he fled5127 to Lachish:3923 but they sent7971 to Lachish3923 after310 him, and slew4191 him there.8033

28 And they brought5375 him on horses,5483 and buried6912 him with his fathers1 in the city5892 of Judah.3063

2 И поступал он праведно пред очами Господа, однако не от полного сердца.

7 И подошел к нему человек Божий, и сказал: царь! войско Израильское пусть нейдет с тобою, потому что Господь не будет с Израильтянами, со всеми сынами Ефрема.

8 Но ты иди, делай дело мужественно, подвизайся на войне. Иначе Бог повергнет тебя пред лицом врага; ибо в Боге есть сила поддержать и повергнуть.

8 But if518 you will go,935 do6213 it; be strong2388 for the battle:4421 God430 shall make you fall3782 before6440 the enemy:341 for God430 has3426 power3581 to help,5826 and to cast3782 down.3782

9 И сказал Амазия человеку Божию: что же делать со стами талантами, которые я отдал войску Израильскому? И сказал человек Божий: у Господа есть возможность дать тебе более сего.

9 And Amaziah558 said559 to the man376 of God,430 But what4100 shall we do6213 for the hundred3967 talents3603 which834 I have given5414 to the army1416 of Israel?3478 And the man376 of God430 answered,559 The LORD3068 is able to give5414 you much7235 more7235 than this.2088

10 И отделил их Амазия, то войско, которое пришло к нему из земли Ефремовой, и сказал, чтоб они шли в свое место. И сильно возгорелся гнев их на Иудею, и они пошли назад в свое место в пылу гнева.

10 Then Amaziah558 separated914 them, to wit, the army1416 that was come935 to him out of Ephraim,669 to go3212 home4725 again: why their anger639 was greatly3966 kindled2734 against Judah,3063 and they returned7725 home4725 in great2750 anger.639

11 А Амазия отважился и повел народ свой, и пошел на долину Соляную, и побил десять тысяч сынов Сеира.

11 And Amaziah558 strengthened2388 himself, and led5090 forth his people,5971 and went3212 to the valley1516 of salt,4417 and smote5221 of the children1121 of Seir8165 ten6235 thousand.505

12 И десять тысяч живых взяли Иудеи в плен. Сих привели они на вершину скалы, и низринули их с вершины скалы, и все они разбились в дребезги.

12 And other ten6235 thousand505 left alive2416 did the children1121 of Judah3063 carry7617 away captive,7617 and brought935 them to the top7218 of the rock,5553 and cast7993 them down from the top7218 of the rock,5553 that they all3605 were broken1234 in pieces.

13 Между тем, принадлежавшие к тому войску, которое Амазия отослал обратно, чтоб оно не ходило с ним на войну, рассыпались по городам Иудеи, от Самарии до Вефорона, и перебили в них три тысячи, и награбили множество добычи,

13 But the soldiers1121 of the army1416 which834 Amaziah558 sent7725 back,7725 that they should not go3212 with him to battle,4421 fell6584 on the cities5892 of Judah,3063 from Samaria8111 even to Bethhoron,1032 and smote5221 three7969 thousand505 of them, and took much7227 spoil.961

14 Амазия, пришедши после поражения Идумеян, принес от сынов Сеира богов, и оставил их у себя богами, и кланялся пред ними, и кадил им.

14 Now it came1961 to pass, after310 that Amaziah558 was come935 from the slaughter5221 of the Edomites,130 that he brought935 the gods430 of the children1121 of Seir,8165 and set5975 them up to be his gods,430 and bowed7812 down7812 himself before6440 them, and burned6999 incense6999 to them.

15 И воспылал гнев Господа на Амазию, и послал Он к нему пророка, и сказал ему: зачем ты прибегаешь к богам сего народа, которые не избавили народа своего от руки твоей?

15 Why the anger639 of the LORD3068 was kindled2734 against Amaziah,558 and he sent7971 to him a prophet,5030 which said559 to him, Why4100 have you sought1875 after the gods430 of the people,5971 which834 could not deliver5337 their own people5971 out of your hand?3027

16 Когда он договорил ему, он сказал: разве советником царским поставили тебя? перестань. На что доводить до того, чтоб убили тебя? И замолчал пророк, сказав: я знаю, что Бог определил погубить тебя, потому что ты сделал сие, и не слушаешь моего совета.

17 Амазия, царь Иудейский, посоветовавшись, послал к царю Израильскому Иоасу, сыну Иоахаза, сына Иуева, сказать: выходи; повидаемся лично.

17 Then Amaziah558 king4428 of Judah3063 took advice,3289 and sent7971 to Joash,3101 the son1121 of Jehoahaz,3059 the son1121 of Jehu,3058 king4428 of Israel,3478 saying,559 Come,3212 let us see7200 one another in the face.6440

18 И послал Иоас, царь Израильский, к Амазии, царю Иудейскому, сказать: терн, который на Ливане, послал к кедру, который на Ливане же, сказать: отдай дочь свою в жену сыну моему. Но дикие звери, которые на Ливане, прошли и истоптали этот терн.

18 And Joash3101 king4428 of Israel3478 sent7971 to Amaziah558 king4428 of Judah,3063 saying,559 The thistle2336 that was in Lebanon3844 sent7971 to the cedar730 that was in Lebanon,3844 saying,559 Give5414 your daughter1323 to my son1121 to wife:802 and there passed5674 by a wild7704 beast2416 that was in Lebanon,3844 and stepped7429 down the thistle.2336

19 Ты говорил: вот я побил Идумеян, и сердце твое надмевает тебя, чтобы величаться. Сиди лучше у себя дома. К чему тебе затевать ссору на свою беду? Падешь ты, и с тобою Иудея.

20 Но Амазия не послушался; потому что так устроено было Богом, чтобы предать их в руку врага за то, что стали прибегать к богам Идумейским.

20 But Amaziah558 would not hear;8085 for it came of God,430 that he might deliver5414 them into the hand3027 of their enemies, because3588 they sought1875 after the gods430 of Edom.123

21 И выступил Иоас, царь Израильский, и увиделись лично, он и Амазия, царь Иудейский, в Бефшемеше Иудейском.

21 So Joash3101 the king4428 of Israel3478 went5927 up; and they saw7200 one another in the face,6440 both he and Amaziah558 king4428 of Judah,3063 at Bethshemesh,1053 which834 belongs to Judah.3063

22 И разбиты Иудеи Израильтянами, и разбежались по шатрам своим.

22 And Judah3063 was put to the worse5062 before6440 Israel,3478 and they fled5127 every man376 to his tent.168

23 И Амазию, царя Иудейского, сына Иоаса, сына Иоахазова, захватил Иоас, царь Израильский, в Бефшемеше и привел его в Иерусалим, и разрушил стену Иерусалимскую от ворот Ефремовых до ворот угольных, на четыреста локтей.

23 And Joash3101 the king4428 of Israel3478 took8610 Amaziah558 king4428 of Judah,3063 the son1121 of Joash,3101 the son1121 of Jehoahaz,3059 at Bethshemesh,1053 and brought935 him to Jerusalem,3389 and broke6555 down the wall2346 of Jerusalem3389 from the gate8179 of Ephraim669 to the corner6437 gate,8179 four702 hundred3967 cubits.520

24 И взял все золото, и серебро и все сосуды, находившиеся в доме Божием, у Овед-Едома, и сокровища царского дома, и заложников, и возвратился в Самарию.
