Глава 9

1 Когда царица Шевы услышала о славе Соломона, она пришла в Иерусалим, чтобы испытать его трудными вопросами. Прибыв с очень большой свитой, с верблюдами, везущими пряности и великое множество золота и драгоценных камней, она пришла к Соломону и говорила с ним обо всем, что было у нее на сердце.

2 Соломон ответил на все ее вопросы: для него не было ничего слишком трудного, чего он не смог бы ей объяснить.

3 Когда царица Шевы увидела мудрость Соломона и дворец, который он построил,

4 еду у него на столе, жилища его приближенных, как прислуживают его слуги, как они одеты, каковы его виночерпии, как одеты они, и какие всесожжения он совершает в доме Господа, у нее захватило дух.

5 Она сказала царю: — Молва, которую я слышала в своей стране о твоих делах и мудрости, правдива,

6 но я не верила слухам, пока не пришла и не увидела это своими глазами. И что же, мне не рассказали и о половине твоей мудрости! Ты далеко превзошел ту молву, что я слышала.

7 Блаженны твои люди! Блаженны твои приближенные, которые всегда стоят перед тобой и внимают твоей мудрости!

8 Да будет благословен Господь, твой Бог, Который благоволит к тебе и посадил тебя царем на Своем престоле, чтобы ты правил для Господа, твоего Бога. Ради любви твоего Бога к Израилю, ради желания утвердить их навеки, Он сделал тебя его царем, чтобы ты поступал справедливо и праведно.

9 Она подарила царю сто двадцать талантов золота, великое множество пряностей и драгоценных камней. Никогда больше не было пряностей, подобных тем, что царица Шевы подарила царю Соломону.

10 Хирамовы люди и люди Соломона привозили золото из Офира. Еще они привезли красное дерево и драгоценные камни.

11 Царь сделал из красного дерева лестницы для Господнего дома и для царского дворца, а также арфы и лиры для музыкантов. Прежде в Иудее не видели ничего подобного.

12 Царь Соломон подарил царице Шевы все, что она пожелала и о чем просила. Он подарил ей больше, чем она привезла ему. После этого она ушла и вернулась со свитой в свою страну.

14 не считая того дохода, что поступал от купцов и торговцев, и от всех царей Аравии и наместников страны тоже привозили Соломону золото и серебро.

18 У трона было шесть ступенек, и к нему было прикреплено золотое подножие. По обеим сторонам сиденья были подлокотники, и у каждого из них стояло по льву.

19 Двенадцать львов стояло на шести ступеньках — по одному с каждой стороны каждой ступеньки. Никогда ничего подобного не делалось ни в каком другом царстве.

20 Все чаши царя Соломона были золотыми, и вся домашняя утварь во дворце Ливанского леса была из чистого золота. Серебряного ничего не было, потому что серебро в дни Соломона не ценилось.

21 На море у царя был флот из таршишских кораблей с командой из слуг Хирама. Раз в три года корабли возвращались, привозя золото, серебро, слоновую кость, обезьян и павлинов.

29 Что же до прочих событий правления Соломона, от первых до последних, то разве не описаны они в записях пророка Нафана, в пророчестве Ахии из Шило и в видениях провидца Иддо о Иеровоаме, сыне Навата?

30 Соломон правил в Иерусалиме всем Израилем сорок лет.

31 Потом он упокоился со своими предками и был похоронен в Городе Давида, своего отца. А Ровоам, его сын, стал царем вместо него.

4 And the meat3978 of his table,7979 and the sitting4186 of his servants,5650 and the attendance4612 of his ministers,8334 and their apparel;4403 his cupbearers4945 also, and their apparel;4403 and his ascent5944 by which834 he went up5927 into the house1004 of the LORD;3068 there was1961 no3808 more5750 spirit7307 in her.

6 Howbeit I believed539 not3808 their words,1697 until5704 834 I came,935 and mine eyes5869 had seen7200 it: and, behold,2009 the one half2677 of the greatness4768 of thy wisdom2451 was not3808 told5046 me: for thou exceedest3254 5921 the fame8052 that834 I heard.8085

7 Happy835 are thy men,376 and happy835 are these428 thy servants,5650 which stand5975 continually8548 before6440 thee, and hear8085 853 thy wisdom.2451

8 Blessed1288 be1961 the LORD3068 thy God,430 which834 delighted2654 in thee to set5414 thee on5921 his throne,3678 to be king4428 for the LORD3068 thy God:430 because thy God430 loved160 853 Israel,3478 to establish5975 them forever,5769 therefore made5414 he thee king4428 over5921 them, to do6213 judgment4941 and justice.6666

14 Beside905 that which chapmen4480 376 8446 and merchants5503 brought.935 And all3605 the kings4428 of Arabia6152 and governors6346 of the country776 brought935 gold2091 and silver3701 to Solomon.8010

15 And king4428 Solomon8010 made6213 two hundred3967 targets6793 of beaten7820 gold:2091 six8337 hundred3967 shekels of beaten7820 gold2091 went5927 to5921 one259 target.6793

21 For3588 the king's4428 ships591 went1980 to Tarshish8659 with5973 the servants5650 of Huram:2361 every three7969 years8141 once259 came935 the ships591 of Tarshish8659 bringing5375 gold,2091 and silver,3701 ivory,8143 and apes,6971 and peacocks.8500

22 And king4428 Solomon8010 passed1431 all4480 3605 the kings4428 of the earth776 in riches6239 and wisdom.2451

23 And all3605 the kings4428 of the earth776 sought1245 853 the presence6440 of Solomon,8010 to hear8085 853 his wisdom,2451 that834 God430 had put5414 in his heart.3820

24 And they1992 brought935 every man376 his present,4503 vessels3627 of silver,3701 and vessels3627 of gold,2091 and raiment,8008 harness,5402 and spices,1314 horses,5483 and mules,6505 a rate1697 year8141 by year.8141

25 And Solomon8010 had1961 four702 thousand505 stalls723 for horses5483 and chariots,4818 and twelve8147 6240 thousand505 horsemen;6571 whom he bestowed5117 in the chariot7393 cities,5892 and with5973 the king4428 at Jerusalem.3389

29 Now the rest7605 of the acts1697 of Solomon,8010 first7223 and last,314 are they1992 not3808 written3789 in5921 the book1697 of Nathan5416 the prophet,5030 and in5921 the prophecy5016 of Ahijah281 the Shilonite,7888 and in the visions2378 of Iddo3260 the seer2374 against5921 Jeroboam3379 the son1121 of Nebat?5028

30 And Solomon8010 reigned4427 in Jerusalem3389 over5921 all3605 Israel3478 forty705 years.8141
