Глава 32

1 Тогда трое друзей перестали спорить с Иовом, потому что он был уверен в своей правоте.

2 Но Элигу, сын Барахела, потомок Буза, из рода Рам, разгневался на Иова за то, что тот считал себя праведным перед Богом.

3 Он разгневался и на трех его друзей за то, что не сумев возразить, они клеветали на Иова.

4 Но Элигу ждал, прежде чем заговорить с Иовом, потому что остальные были старше его.

5 Когда же он увидел, что тем троим нечего больше сказать, он разгневался.

6 И тогда Элигу, сын Барахела, потомок Буза, сказал: — Я молод годами, вы же в преклонных летах; поэтому я и робел и не смел вам высказать свое мнение.

7 Я думал: «Пусть говорит возраст; пусть преклонные годы учат мудрости».

8 Но нет, это дух в человеке и дыхание Всемогущего разум дают.

9 Не одни старики мудры, не одни престарелые знают правду.

10 Поэтому говорю я: «Внимайте мне! Я тоже скажу вам, что знаю».

11 Я ждал, пока вы говорили, суждения ваши слушал; пока вы искали слова,

12 я вглядывался в вас. Но никто из вас Иова не опроверг, на слова его не ответил.

13 Не говорите: «Мы мудрость нашли: пусть Бог обличает его, а не человек».

14 Если бы против меня он обратил речь свою, то я не как вы отвечал бы ему.

15 Они испугались и больше не отвечают, слов у них не осталось.

16 Ждать ли мне, раз они замолчали, раз они стоят здесь, не отвечая?

17 Мне ведь тоже есть что сказать, я тоже выскажу свое мнение.

18 Я переполнен словами, дух во мне побуждает меня.

19 Сердце мое, как вино неоткрытое, как новые бурдюки, готовые разорваться.

20 Заговорю и найду покой; разомкну уста свои и отвечу;

21 не буду смотреть ни на чье лицо и льстить никому не стану,

22 ведь я не умею льстить — иначе скоро убил бы меня мой Творец!

Job

Chapter 32

1 SO these three men who wanted to condemn Job ceased answering him, because he was found righteous in their eyes.

2 Then Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram, was angry; so his wrath against Job kindled, because he justified himself more than God.

3 His wrath also kindled against his three friends, because they had found no answer to Job so that they might condemn him.

4 Now Elihu had waited to correct Job with words, because the other men were older than he.

5 When Elihu saw that these three were unable to answer Job, then he was incensed.

6 And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, Because I am younger than you in days and you are old, therefore I was afraid, and did not dare to show you my knowledge.

7 For I said, Days should speak, and the multitude of years should teach wisdom.

8 Truly, there is a spirit in men; and the breath of the Almighty gives them understanding.

9 It is not age that makes men wise; nor do the aged always understand judgment.

10 Therefore I say, Hearken to me; I also will show you my knowledge.

11 Behold, I kept silent while you spoke; I gave ear until you made an end of speaking, while you searched for words.

12 Yea, I understood your testimony, and, behold, there was none of you that could reprove Job, or that could answer his words,

13 So that you could not say, We have found wisdom. God has smitten him, not man.

14 Now Job has not directed his words against me; neither will I answer him with your speeches.

15 They were silent, they answered him no more; their words were all spent, so they held their peace;

16 They did not speak; they stood still, and answered him no more.

17 I will answer also on my part; I also will show my knowledge.

18 For I am full of words; the spirit within me constrains me.

19 Behold, I cannot restrain myself, nor can I find relief; I can no longer hold myself from talking.

20 I will speak so that I may find relief; I will open my lips and answer.

21 I will not be partial toward any person, neither will I be ashamed of the presence of any one.

22 For I do not know what shame is; else would my Almighty One soon take me away.

7 Я думал: «Пусть говорит возраст; пусть преклонные годы учат мудрости».	7 For I said, Days should speak, and the multitude of years should teach wisdom.
8 Но нет, это дух в человеке и дыхание Всемогущего разум дают.	8 Truly, there is a spirit in men; and the breath of the Almighty gives them understanding.
9 Не одни старики мудры, не одни престарелые знают правду.	9 It is not age that makes men wise; nor do the aged always understand judgment.
10 Поэтому говорю я: «Внимайте мне! Я тоже скажу вам, что знаю».	10 Therefore I say, Hearken to me; I also will show you my knowledge.

12 я вглядывался в вас. Но никто из вас Иова не опроверг, на слова его не ответил.	12 Yea, I understood your testimony, and, behold, there was none of you that could reprove Job, or that could answer his words,
13 Не говорите: «Мы мудрость нашли: пусть Бог обличает его, а не человек».	13 So that you could not say, We have found wisdom. God has smitten him, not man.
14 Если бы против меня он обратил речь свою, то я не как вы отвечал бы ему.	14 Now Job has not directed his words against me; neither will I answer him with your speeches.
15 Они испугались и больше не отвечают, слов у них не осталось.	15 They were silent, they answered him no more; their words were all spent, so they held their peace;

17 Мне ведь тоже есть что сказать, я тоже выскажу свое мнение.	17 I will answer also on my part; I also will show my knowledge.
18 Я переполнен словами, дух во мне побуждает меня.	18 For I am full of words; the spirit within me constrains me.

20 Заговорю и найду покой; разомкну уста свои и отвечу;	20 I will speak so that I may find relief; I will open my lips and answer.
21 не буду смотреть ни на чье лицо и льстить никому не стану,	21 I will not be partial toward any person, neither will I be ashamed of the presence of any one.
22 ведь я не умею льстить — иначе скоро убил бы меня мой Творец!	22 For I do not know what shame is; else would my Almighty One soon take me away.
