2 Grace5485 and peace1515 be multiplied4129 to you through1722 the knowledge1922 of God,2316 and of Jesus2424 our Lord,2962

3 According5613 as his divine2304 power1411 has given1433 to us all3956 things that pertain to life2222 and godliness,2150 through1223 the knowledge1922 of him that has called2564 us to glory1391 and virtue:703

4 1223 которыми37393588 дарованы1433 нам2254 великие3176 и2532 драгоценные5093 обетования,1862 дабы2443 вы через1223 них5130 соделались1096 причастниками2844 Божеского2304 естества,5449 удалившись6683588 от господствующего в1722 мире28891722 растления5356 похотью, —1939

4 Whereby1223 3739 are given1433 to us exceeding great3176 and precious5093 promises:1862 that by these5130 you might be partakers2844 of the divine2304 nature,5449 having escaped668 the corruption5356 that is in the world2889 through1722 lust.1939

8 For if these5023 things be in you, and abound,4121 they make2525 you that you shall neither3756 be barren692 nor3761 unfruitful175 in the knowledge1922 of our Lord2962 Jesus2424 Christ.5547

9 But he that lacks3361 3918 these5023 things is blind,5185 and cannot3467 see3467 afar3467 off, and has forgotten3024 2983 that he was purged2512 from his old3819 sins.266

10 Посему,1352 братия,80 более3123 и более старайтесь4704 делать4160 твердым949 ваше52163588 звание2821 и2532 избрание;1589 так50231063 поступая,4160 никогда4218 не3364 преткнетесь,4417

10 Why1352 the rather,3123 brothers,80 give diligence4710 to make4160 your5216 calling2821 and election1589 sure:949 for if you do4160 these5023 things, you shall never3364 4219 fall:4417

11 ибо1063 так3779 откроется2023 вам5213 свободный41463588 вход1529 в15193588 вечное166 Царство9323588 Господа2962 нашего2257 и2532 Спасителя4990 Иисуса2424 Христа.5547
|
11 For so3779 an entrance1529 shall be ministered2023 to you abundantly4146 into1519 the everlasting166 kingdom932 of our Lord2962 and Savior4990 Jesus2424 Christ.5547
|
|
12 Для того1352 я никогда104 не3756 перестану272 напоминать5279 вам5209 о4012 сем,5130 хотя2539 вы то́ и знаете,1492 и2532 утверждены4741 в17223588 настоящей3918 истине.225
|
12 Why1352 I will not be negligent272 to put5279 you always104 in remembrance5179 of these5130 things, though2539 you know1492 them, and be established4741 in the present3918 truth.225
|
|
13 Справедливым1342 же1161 почитаю,2233 доколе19093745 нахожусь1510 в1722 этой51293588 телесной храмине,4638 возбуждать1326 вас52091722 напоминанием,5280
|
13 Yes,1161 I think2233 it meet,1342 as long as I am1510 in this5129 tabernacle,4638 to stir1326 you up by putting5279 you in remembrance;5280
|
|
14 зная,1492 что3754 скоро5031 должен20763588 оставить5953588 храмину4638 мою,3450 как2531 и3588 Господь2962 наш2257 Иисус2424 Христос5547 открыл1213 мне.3427
|
14 Knowing1492 that shortly5031 I must put595 off595 this3588 my tabernacle,4638 even2532 as our Lord2962 Jesus2424 Christ5547 has showed1213 me.
|
|
15 Буду же1161 стараться,4704 чтобы вы5209 и2532 после33263588 моего1699 отшествия1841 всегда153921923588 приводили4160 это5130 на память.3420
|
15 Moreover1161 2532 I will endeavor4704 that you may be able2192 after3326 my decease1841 to have these5130 things always1539 in remembrance.3420
|

16 Ибо1063 мы возвестили1107 вам52133588 силу1411 и2532 пришествие3952 Господа2962 нашего2257 Иисуса2424 Христа,5547 не3756 хитросплетенным4679 басням3454 последуя,1811 но235 быв1096 очевидцами20303588 Его1565 величия.3168

16 For we have not followed1811 cunningly devised4679 fables,3454 when we made1107 known1107 to you the power1411 and coming3952 of our Lord2962 Jesus2424 Christ,5547 but were eyewitnesses2030 of his majesty.3168

17 Ибо1063 Он принял2983 от3844 Бога2316 Отца3962 честь5092 и2532 славу,1391 когда от52593588 велелепной3169 славы1391 принесся5342 к Нему846 такой5107 глас:5456 «Сей3778 есть20763588 Сын5207 Мой34503588 возлюбленный,27 в1519 Котором3739 Мое1473 благоволение».2106

17 For he received2983 from God2316 the Father3962 honor5092 and glory,1391 when there came5342 such5107 a voice5456 to him from the excellent3169 glory,1391 This3778 is my beloved27 Son,5207 in whom3739 I am well2106 pleased.2106

18 И2532 этот50263588 глас,5456 принесшийся5342 с1537 небес,3772 мы2249 слышали,191 будучи5607 с4862 Ним846 на17223588 святой403588 горе.3735
|
18 And this5026 voice5456 which came5342 from heaven3772 we heard,191 when we were with him in the holy40 mount.3735

19 И2532 притом мы имеем2192 вернейшее9493588 пророческое4397 слово;3056 и вы хорошо2573 делаете,4160 что обращаетесь4337 к нему,3739 как5613 к светильнику,3088 сияющему5316 в1722 темном850 месте,5117 доколе21933757 не начнет рассветать1306 день2250 и2532 не взойдет393 утренняя звезда5459 в17223588 сердцах2588 ваших,5216

19 We have2192 also2532 a more sure949 word3056 of prophecy;4397 whereunto3739 you do4160 well2573 that you take heed,4337 as to a light3088 that shines5316 in a dark850 place,5117 until2193 the day2250 dawn,1306 and the day5459 star5459 arise393 in your5216 hearts:2588

20 зная1097 прежде4412 всего то,5124 что3754 никакого3956 пророчества4394 в Писании1124 нельзя37561096 разрешить1955 самому собою.2398

20 Knowing1097 this5124 first,4412 that no3956 3756 prophecy4394 of the scripture1124 is of any private2398 interpretation.1955

21 Ибо1063 никогда4218 пророчество4394 не3756 было произносимо5342 по воле2307 человеческой,444 но2355259 изрекали2980 его святые40 Божии2316 человеки,444 будучи движимы5342 Духом4151 Святым.40

21 For the prophecy4394 came5342 not in old4218 time4218 by the will2307 of man:444 but holy40 men444 of God2316 spoke2980 as they were moved5342 by the Holy40 Ghost.4151
