希伯來書

第2章

1 所以，我們當越發鄭重所聽見的事情［things］，恐怕我們隨流失去。

2 那藉著天使所傳的話既是確定的；凡干犯叛逆的都受了該受的報應。

3 我們若忽略這麼大的救恩，怎能逃罪呢？這救恩起先是主親自開［began to］講的，後來是聽見他［him］的人給我們證實了。

4 神又按自己的旨意，用神蹟、奇事和百般的異能，並聖靈的恩賜，同他們作見證。

5 我們所說將來的世界，神原沒有交給天使管轄。

6 但有人在經上某處證明說：「人算甚麼，你竟顧念他？世人算甚麼，你竟眷顧他？

7 你叫他比天使微小一點，賜他榮耀尊貴為冠冕，並將你手所造的都派他治理［and didst set him over the works of thy hands］。

8 叫一切［all things］都服在他的腳下。」既叫一切［all］都服他，就沒有剩下一樣不服他的。只是如今我們還不見一切［all things］都服他。

9 唯獨見那成為比天使小一點［who was made a little lower than the angels］的耶穌；因為受死的苦，就得了尊貴榮耀為冠冕，叫他因著神的恩，為人人嘗了死味。

10 原來那為一切［all things］所屬，為一切［all things］所本的，要領許多的兒子進榮耀裏去，使救他們的元帥，因受苦難得以完全。

11 因那使人成聖的和那些得以成聖的，都是出於一。所以，他稱他們為弟兄也不以為恥，

12 說：「我要將你的名傳與我的弟兄，在教會［church］中我要歌頌［sing praise unto］你。」

13 又說：「我要倚賴他。」又說：「看哪，我與神所給我的兒女。」

14 兒女既同有血肉之體，他也照樣親自成了血肉之體，特要藉著死敗壞那掌死權的，就是魔鬼，

15 並要釋放那些一生因怕死而為奴僕的人。

16 他誠然沒有選取天使的本性［For verily he took not on him the nature of angels］，倒選取作［but he took on him］亞伯拉罕的後裔。

17 所以，他凡事該與他的弟兄相同，為要在神的事上成為慈悲忠信的大祭司，為百姓的罪獻上挽回祭。

18 他自己既然被試探而受苦，就能搭救被試探的人。

Chapter 2

1 THEREFORE, we should give earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time they be lost.

2 For if the word spoken by the angels has been affirmed, and every one who has heard it and transgressed it has received a just reward,

3 How shall we escape, if we neglect the very things which are our salvation and which were first spoken by our LORD, and were proved to us by those who had heard him,

4 And to which God testified with signs and wonders and with divers miracles, and with the gift of the Holy Spirit, given according to his will.

5 For he has not put into subjection to the angels the world to come, whereof we speak.

6 But as the scripture testifies, saying, What is man that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

7 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels: and have crowned him with glory and honor, and have set him ruler over the works of thy hands:

8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. By putting all things under his control, he left nothing that he did not put under subjection to him. But now we do not see yet that all things are in subjection to him.

9 We see that he is Jesus who humbled himself to be a little lower than the angels, through his suffering and his death, but now he is crowned with glory and honor; for he tasted death for the sake of every one but God.

10 And it was meet and proper for him, in whose hand is everything and for whom are all things, to bring many sons to glory, so that from the very beginning of their salvation, they are made perfect through sufferings.

11 For both he who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are all of one origin: for this reason he is not ashamed to call them brethren,

12 Saying, I will declare thy name to my brethren; in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.

13 And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold me and the children which God has given me.

14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also likewise partook of the same; and by his death he has destroyed him who had the power of death, that is, the devil.

15 And has released them who, through fear of death all their lives, were subject to slavery.

16 For he did not take on him the pattern of angels; but he did take on him the seed of Abraham.

17 Therefore it was meet and proper that in every thing he should resemble his brethren, that he might be a merciful, and faithful high priest in the things of God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

18 For in that he himself has suffered, being tempted, he is able to help those who are tempted.

10 And it was meet and proper for him, in whose hand is everything and for whom are all things, to bring many sons to glory, so that from the very beginning of their salvation, they are made perfect through sufferings.

11 因那使人成聖的和那些得以成聖的，都是出於一。所以，他稱他們為弟兄也不以為恥，

12 Saying, I will declare thy name to my brethren; in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.
