1 （大衛上行之詩。）以色列［Israel］要說：若不是耶和華幫助我們，

2 若不是耶和華幫助我們，當人起來攻擊我們、

3 向我們發怒的時候，就把我們活活地吞了。

4 那時，波濤必漫過我們，河水必淹沒我們，

5 狂傲的水必淹沒我們。

6 耶和華是應當稱頌的。他沒有把我們當獵物［prey］交給他們的牙齒［teeth］。

7 我們好像雀鳥，從捕鳥人的網羅裏逃脫；網羅破裂，我們逃脫了。

8 我們得幫助，是在乎倚靠造天地之耶和華的名。

1 IF it had not been the LORD who stood on our side, now may Israel say,

2 If it had not been the LORD who stood on our side when men rose up against us,

3 Then would they have swallowed us alive when their wrath was kindled against us,

4 Then would they have drowned us in the waters, the stream would have gone over us;

5 Then the great waters would have gone over us.

6 Blessed be the LORD, who has not given us as a prey to their teeth.

7 Our soul has escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers; the snare is broken, and we are delivered.

8 Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

1 （大衛上行之詩。）以色列［Israel］要說：若不是耶和華幫助我們，	1 IF it had not been the LORD who stood on our side, now may Israel say,

8 我們得幫助，是在乎倚靠造天地之耶和華的名。	8 Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
