5 Wie kommt‘s aber, daß ich sehe7200, daß sie verzagt sind3807 und3068 die Flucht geben5472, und ihre Helden erschlagen sind? Sie fliehen5127, daß sie sich268 auch nicht umsehen. Schrecken2844 ist um6437 und um5439, spricht5002 der HErr1368.

6 Der Schnelle7031 kann nicht entfliehen5127 noch der Starke1368 entrinnen4422. Gegen Mitternacht6828 am Wasser5104 Phrath sind sie3027 gefallen3782 und daniedergelegt.

6 Let not the swift7031 flee5127 away, nor408 the mighty1368 man escape;4422 they shall stumble,3782 and fall5307 toward the north6828 by the river5104 Euphrates.6578

8 Ägypten4714 zog5927 herauf5927 wie ein Strom2975, und5104 seine Wellen erhuben sich1607 wie des Wassers4325 und sprach559: Ich will hinaufziehen, das Land776 bedecken3680 und die Stadt5892 verderben6 samt denen, die drinnen wohnen3427.

Denn sie müssen dem HErrn136 HErrn3069 Zebaoth6635 ein Schlachtopfer2077 werden7646 im Lande gegen Mitternacht6828, am Wasser5104 Phrath.

11 Gehe hinauf5927 gen Gilead1568 und hole Salbe6875, Jungfrau1330, Tochter1323 aus Ägypten4714! Aber es ist3947 umsonst, daß du viel7235 arzeneiest; du wirst doch nicht7723 heil8585.

11 Go5927 up into Gilead,1568 and take3947 balm,6875 O virgin,1330 the daughter1323 of Egypt:4714 in vain7723 shall you use many7235 medicines;7499 for you shall not be cured.8585

12 Deine Schande7036 ist4390 unter die Heiden1471 erschollen, deines Heulens6682 ist5307 das8085 Land776 voll; denn ein1368 Held1368 fällt3782 über den andern, und liegen beide8147 miteinander3162 danieder.

15 Wie geht es zu, daß deine Gewaltigen47 zu Boden fallen5502 und5975 mögen nicht bestehen? Der HErr3068 hat sie so gestürzt1920.

15 Why4069 are your valiant47 men swept5502 away? they stood5975 not, because3588 the LORD3068 did drive1920 them.
|

16 Er376 macht, daß ihrer viele fallen5307, daß einer mit dem7235 andern7453 daniederliegt. Da sprachen559 sie6965: Wohlauf, laßt uns3782 wieder7725 zu unserm Volk5971 ziehen in unser Vaterland776 vor6440 dem Schwert2719 des Tyrannen3238!

16 He made many7235 to fall,3782 yes, one376 fell5307 on another:7453 and they said,559 Arise,6965 and let us go7725 again7725 to our own people,5971 and to the land776 of our nativity,4138 from the oppressing3238 sword.2719

17 Daselbst schrie man7121 ihnen nach: Pharao6547, der König4428 in5674 Ägypten4714, liegt7588; er hat sein Gezelt4150 gelassen.

18 So wahr als ich lebe, spricht5002 der König4428, der HErr3068 Zebaoth6635 heißt8034, er2416 wird daherziehen so hoch, wie der Berg2022 Tabor unter den Bergen ist935 und wie der Karmel3760 am Meer3220 ist.

18 As I live,2416 said5002 the King,4428 whose name8034 is the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 Surely3588 as Tabor8396 is among the mountains,2022 and as Carmel3760 by the sea,3220 so shall he come.935

19 Nimm dein Wandergerät, du Einwohnerin3427, Tochter1323 Ägypten4714; denn Noph5297 wird3341 wüst8047 und6213 verbrannt werden, daß niemand drinnen wohnen3427 wird.
|
19 O you daughter1323 dwelling3427 in Egypt,4714 furnish6213 3627 yourself to go into captivity:1473 for Noph5297 shall be waste8047 and desolate3341 without369 an inhabitant.3427

20 Ägypten4714 ist935 ein sehr schönes3304 Kalb5697; aber es kommt935 von Mitternacht6828 der Schlächter7171.
|
20 Egypt4714 is like a very3304 fair3304 heifer,5697 but destruction7171 comes;935 it comes935 out of the north.6828
|
|
21 Und5975 Taglöhner, so drinnen wohnen, sind935 auch wie gemästete4770 Kälber5695; aber sie müssen sich6437 dennoch wenden, flüchtig werden5127 miteinander3162 und werden nicht bestehen; denn der Tag3117 ihres Unfalls343 wird über6486 sie kommen, nämlich die7130 Zeit6256 ihrer Heimsuchung.

22 Sie fahren935 daher, daß der Harnisch prasselt, und6963 kommen mit Heereskraft und2428 bringen Äxte7134 über sie wie3212 die Holzhauer2404.

22 The voice6963 thereof shall go3212 like a serpent;5175 for they shall march3212 with an army,2428 and come935 against her with axes,7134 as hewers2404 of wood.6086

23 Dieselbigen werden3772 hauen also in ihrem Walde3293, spricht5002 der HErr3068, daß nicht zu zählen4557 ist2713; denn ihrer ist mehr7231 weder Heuschrecken697, die niemand zählen kann.

23 They shall cut3772 down her forest,3293 said5002 the LORD,3068 though3588 it cannot3808 be searched;2713 because3588 they are more7231 than the grasshoppers,697 and are innumerable.369 4557

24 Die Tochter1323 Ägyptens4714 steht mit Schanden3001, denn sie ist dem Volk5971 von Mitternacht6828 in die Hände3027 gegeben5414.

24 The daughter1323 of Egypt4714 shall be confounded;3001 she shall be delivered5414 into the hand3027 of the people5971 of the north.6828

|
25 Der HErr3068 Zebaoth6635, der GOtt430 Israels3478, spricht559: Siehe, ich will heimsuchen6485 den Regenten zu No4996 und430 den Pharao6547 und Ägypten4714 samt seinen Göttern und Königen4428, ja Pharao6547 mit allen, die sich982 auf ihn verlassen,

25 The LORD3068 of hosts,6635 the God430 of Israel,3478 said;559 Behold,2005 I will punish6485 the multitude527 of No,4996 and Pharaoh,6547 and Egypt,4714 with their gods,430 and their kings;4428 even Pharaoh,6547 and all them that trust982 in him:

26 daß ich sie3027 gebe5414 in die Hände3027 denen, die ihnen nach310 ihrem Leben5315 stehen, und in die Hände3027 Nebukadnezars5019, des Königs4428 zu Babel894, und seiner Knechte5650. Und danach sollst du1245 bewohnet werden7931 wie vor3117 alters6924, spricht5002 der HErr3068.

26 And I will deliver5414 them into the hand3027 of those that seek1245 their lives,5315 and into the hand3027 of Nebuchadrezzar5019 king4428 of Babylon,894 and into the hand3027 of his servants:5650 and afterward310 3651 it shall be inhabited,7931 as in the days3117 of old,6924 said5002 the LORD.3068

27 Aber du, mein Knecht5650 Jakob3290, fürchte3372 dich nicht2865, und du, Israel3478, verzage nicht8252! Denn siehe, ich will7725 dir aus fernen7350 Landen und deinem Samen2233 aus dem Lande776 seines Gefängnisses7628 helfen3467, daß Jakob3290 soll wiederkommen und in Frieden sein und die Fülle haben7599, und niemand soll ihn schrecken2729.

27 But fear3372 not you, O my servant5650 Jacob,3290 and be not dismayed,2865 O Israel:3478 for, behold,2005 I will save3467 you from afar7350 off, and your seed2233 from the land776 of their captivity;7633 and Jacob3290 shall return,7725 and be in rest8252 and at ease,7599 and none369 shall make him afraid.2729

28 Darum fürchte3372 dich nicht5352, du Jakob3290, mein Knecht5650, spricht5002 der HErr3068; denn ich bin bei dir. Mit allen Heiden1471, dahin ich dich verstoßen5080 habe, will ich‘s ein Ende3617 machen6213; aber mit dir will ich‘s nicht ein Ende3617 machen6213, sondern ich will dich züchtigen3256 mit Maße, auf daß ich dich nicht ungestraft5352 lasse.

28 Fear3372 you not, O Jacob3290 my servant,5650 said5002 the LORD:3068 for I am with you; for I will make6213 a full end3615 of all3605 the nations1471 where834 8033 I have driven5080 you: but I will not make6213 a full end3615 of you, but correct3256 you in measure;4941 yet will I not leave you wholly5352 unpunished.5352
