Chapter 22

1 And the inhabitants3427 of Jerusalem3389 made Ahaziah274 his youngest6996 son1121 king4427 in his stead:8478 for the band1416 of men that came935 with the Arabians6163 to the camp4264 had slain2026 all3605 the oldest.7223 So Ahaziah274 the son1121 of Jehoram3088 king4428 of Judah3063 reigned.4427

2 Forty705 and two8147 years8141 old1121 was Ahaziah274 when he began to reign,4427 and he reigned4427 one259 year8141 in Jerusalem.3389 His mother's517 name8034 also was Athaliah6271 the daughter1323 of Omri.6018

3 He also1571 walked1980 in the ways1870 of the house1004 of Ahab:256 for his mother517 was his counselor3289 to do wickedly.7561

4 Why he did6213 evil7451 in the sight5869 of the LORD3068 like the house1004 of Ahab:256 for they were his counsellors3289 after310 the death4194 of his father25 to his destruction.4889

5 He walked1980 also1571 after their counsel,6098 and went3212 with Jehoram3088 the son1121 of Ahab256 king4428 of Israel3478 to war4421 against5921 Hazael2371 king4428 of Syria758 at Ramothgilead:7433 and the Syrians761 smote5221 Joram.3141

6 And he returned7725 to be healed7495 in Jezreel3157 because3588 of the wounds4347 which834 were given5221 him at Ramah,7414 when he fought3898 with Hazael2371 king4428 of Syria.758 And Azariah5838 the son1121 of Jehoram3088 king4428 of Judah3063 went3381 down3381 to see7200 Jehoram3088 the son1121 of Ahab256 at Jezreel,3157 because3588 he was sick.2470

7 And the destruction8395 of Ahaziah274 was of God430 by coming935 to Joram:3141 for when he was come,935 he went3318 out with Jehoram3088 against413 Jehu3058 the son1121 of Nimshi,5250 whom834 the LORD3068 had anointed4886 to cut3772 off the house1004 of Ahab.256

8 And it came1961 to pass, that, when Jehu3058 was executing judgment8199 on the house1004 of Ahab,256 and found4672 the princes8269 of Judah,3063 and the sons1121 of the brothers251 of Ahaziah,274 that ministered8334 to Ahaziah,274 he slew2026 them.

9 And he sought1245 Ahaziah:274 and they caught3920 him, (for he was hid2244 in Samaria,8111) and brought935 him to Jehu:3058 and when they had slain4191 him, they buried6912 him: Because,3588 said559 they, he is the son1121 of Jehoshaphat,3092 who834 sought1875 the LORD3068 with all3605 his heart.3824 So the house1004 of Ahaziah274 had no369 power3581 to keep6113 still the kingdom.4467

10 But when Athaliah6271 the mother517 of Ahaziah274 saw7200 that her son1121 was dead,4191 she arose6965 and destroyed1696 all3605 the seed2233 royal4467 of the house1004 of Judah.3063

11 But Jehoshabeath,3090 the daughter of the king,4428 took3947 Joash3101 the son1121 of Ahaziah,274 and stole1589 him from among8432 the king's4428 sons1121 that were slain,4191 and put5414 him and his nurse3243 in a bedchamber.2315 4296 So Jehoshabeath,3090 the daughter1323 of king4428 Jehoram,3088 the wife802 of Jehoiada3111 the priest,3548 (for she was the sister269 of Ahaziah,274) hid5641 him from Athaliah,6271 so that she slew4191 him not.

12 And he was with them hid2244 in the house1004 of God430 six8337 years:8141 and Athaliah6271 reigned4427 over5921 the land.776

2 Когда он взошел на престол, ему было двадцать два года, и год он правил в Иерусалиме. Матерью его была Гофолия, дочь Амврия.

3 Он шел по пути рода Ахава, потому что мать подстрекала его к нечестивым делам.

4 И делал он то, что было злом в глазах ГОСПОДА, как и весь род Ахава: стали они его советниками после смерти отца и погубили его.

5 По их же совету он отправился вместе с Иорамом, сыном Ахава, царем израильским, на войну с Хазаэлем, царем арамейским. Арамеи нанесли поражение Иораму в Рамоте Гиладском.

6 Царь Иорам вернулся в Израиль залечивать раны, полученные от арамеев в Рамоте, во время войны с арамейским царем Хазаэлем. Охозия, сын Иорама, царь иудейский, отправился в Изреэль навестить Иорама, ведь тот был болен.

7 По воле Божьей гибель Охозии случилась во время посещения им Иорама. Когда он прибыл к Иораму, они вместе вышли навстречу Иегу, сыну Нимши, которого ГОСПОДЬ помазал на то, чтобы уничтожить род Ахава.

8 Исполняя приговор над родом Ахава, Иегу отыскал вождей иудейских и племянников Охозии, служивших ему, и убил их.

9 Затем он разослал соглядатаев выследить Охозию; его схватили в Самарии, где он скрывался, привели к Иегу и казнили. Но он был удостоен похорон в память о том, что он — сын Иосафата, который всем сердцем уповал на ГОСПОДА. Так не осталось ни одного наследника престола из рода Охозии.

10 Когда Гофолия, мать Охозии, узнала, что сын ее мертв, она погубила всех царевичей в Иудее.

11 Но Ехошева, дочь царя, схватила сына Охозии Иоаса, увела его от царевичей, которых собирались убить, и спрятала вместе с кормилицей в спальных покоях. Не смогла Гофолия убить Иоаса, потому что Ехошева, дочь царя Иорама, жена священника Иодая и сестра Охозии, спрятала его.

12 Шесть лет его скрывали в Храме ГОСПОДНЕМ, а страной правила Гофолия.

6 Царь Иорам вернулся в Израиль залечивать раны, полученные от арамеев в Рамоте, во время войны с арамейским царем Хазаэлем. Охозия, сын Иорама, царь иудейский, отправился в Изреэль навестить Иорама, ведь тот был болен.

7 And the destruction8395 of Ahaziah274 was of God430 by coming935 to Joram:3141 for when he was come,935 he went3318 out with Jehoram3088 against413 Jehu3058 the son1121 of Nimshi,5250 whom834 the LORD3068 had anointed4886 to cut3772 off the house1004 of Ahab.256

7 По воле Божьей гибель Охозии случилась во время посещения им Иорама. Когда он прибыл к Иораму, они вместе вышли навстречу Иегу, сыну Нимши, которого ГОСПОДЬ помазал на то, чтобы уничтожить род Ахава.

11 Но Ехошева, дочь царя, схватила сына Охозии Иоаса, увела его от царевичей, которых собирались убить, и спрятала вместе с кормилицей в спальных покоях. Не смогла Гофолия убить Иоаса, потому что Ехошева, дочь царя Иорама, жена священника Иодая и сестра Охозии, спрятала его.

12 And he was with them hid2244 in the house1004 of God430 six8337 years:8141 and Athaliah6271 reigned4427 over5921 the land.776

12 Шесть лет его скрывали в Храме ГОСПОДНЕМ, а страной правила Гофолия.
