Chapter 9

1 And David1732 said,559 Is there yet5750 any that is left3498 of the house1004 of Saul,7586 that I may show6213 him kindness2617 for Jonathan's3129 sake?5668

2 And there was of the house1004 of Saul7586 a servant5650 whose name8034 was Ziba.6717 And when they had called7121 him to David,1732 the king4428 said559 to him, Are you Ziba?6717 And he said,559 Your servant5650 is he.

3 And the king4428 said,559 Is there not yet5750 any376 of the house1004 of Saul,7586 that I may show6213 the kindness2617 of God430 to him? And Ziba6717 said559 to the king,4428 Jonathan3083 has yet5750 a son,1121 which is lame5223 on his feet.7272

4 And the king4428 said559 to him, Where375 is he? And Ziba6717 said559 to the king,4428 Behold,2009 he is in the house1004 of Machir,4353 the son1121 of Ammiel,5988 in Lodebar.3810

5 Then king4428 David1732 sent,7971 and fetched3947 him out of the house1004 of Machir,4353 the son1121 of Ammiel,5988 from Lodebar.3810

6 Now when Mephibosheth,4648 the son1121 of Jonathan,3083 the son1121 of Saul,7586 was come935 to David,1732 he fell5307 on5921 his face,6440 and did reverence.7812 And David1732 said,559 Mephibosheth.4648 And he answered,559 Behold2009 your servant!5650

7 And David1732 said559 to him, Fear3372 not: for I will surely3588 show6213 you kindness2617 for Jonathan3083 your father's1 sake,5668 and will restore7725 you all3605 the land7704 of Saul7586 your father;1 and you shall eat398 bread3899 at5921 my table7979 continually.8548

8 And he bowed7812 himself, and said,559 What4100 is your servant,5650 that you should look6437 on such a dead4191 dog3611 as I am?

9 Then the king4428 called7121 to Ziba,6717 Saul's7586 servant,5288 and said559 to him, I have given5414 to your master's113 son1121 all3605 that pertained1961 to Saul7586 and to all3605 his house.1004

10 You therefore, and your sons,1121 and your servants,5650 shall till5647 the land127 for him, and you shall bring935 in the fruits, that your master's113 son1121 may have1961 food3899 to eat:398 but Mephibosheth4648 your master's113 son1121 shall eat398 bread3899 always8548 at5921 my table.7979 Now Ziba6717 had fifteen2568 6240 sons1121 and twenty6242 servants.5650

11 Then said559 Ziba6717 to the king,4428 According to all3605 that my lord113 the king4428 has commanded6680 his servant,5650 so3651 shall your servant5650 do.6213 As for Mephibosheth,4648 said the king,4428 he shall eat398 at5921 my table,7979 as one259 of the king's4428 sons.1121

12 And Mephibosheth4648 had a young6996 son,1121 whose name8034 was Micha.4316 And all3605 that dwelled4186 in the house1004 of Ziba6717 were servants5650 to Mephibosheth.4648

13 So Mephibosheth4648 dwelled3427 in Jerusalem:3389 for he did eat398 continually8548 at5921 the king's4428 table;7979 and was lame6455 on both8147 his feet.7272

2 В доме Саула был слуга по имени Цива. Его позвали к Давиду, и царь спросил его: — Ты Цива? — Рад служить тебе, — ответил тот.

3 Царь спросил: — Есть ли кто еще живой в доме Саула, кому я мог бы оказать Божью милость? Цива ответил царю: — Остался еще сын Ионафана. Он хромой на обе ноги.

4 — Где же он? — спросил царь. Цива ответил: — Он в доме Махира, сына Аммиила, в Ло-Деваре.

5 Царь Давид послал забрать его из Ло-Девара, из дома Махира, сына Аммиила.

6 Когда Мефи-Бошет, сын Ионафана, внук Саула, пришел к Давиду, он поклонился ему в знак почтения. Давид сказал: — Мефи-Бошет! — Я твой слуга, — ответил тот.

7 — Не бойся, — сказал ему Давид, — потому что я непременно окажу тебе милость ради твоего отца Ионафана. Я верну тебе всю землю, которая принадлежала твоему деду Саулу, и ты всегда будешь есть за моим столом.

8 Мефи-Бошет поклонился и сказал: — Кто такой твой слуга, чтобы тебе обращать внимание на такого мертвого пса, как я?

9 Царь призвал слугу Саула Циву и сказал ему: — Я отдал внуку твоего господина все, что принадлежало Саулу и его семье.

10 Вместе со своими сыновьями и слугами ты должен обрабатывать для него землю и собирать урожай, чтобы у внука твоего господина была еда. А Мефи-Бошет, внук твоего господина, всегда будет есть за моим столом. (У Цивы же было пятнадцать сыновей и двадцать слуг.)

11 Цива сказал царю: — Твой слуга исполнит все, что господин мой царь приказывает сделать своему слуге. И Мефи-Бошет ел за столом Давида, как один из сыновей царя.

12 У Мефи-Бошета был маленький сын по имени Миха. Все домашние Цивы были слугами Мефи-Бошета.

13 Мефи-Бошет жил в Иерусалиме, потому что он всегда ел за царским столом. Он был хромой на обе ноги.

2 В доме Саула был слуга по имени Цива. Его позвали к Давиду, и царь спросил его: — Ты Цива? — Рад служить тебе, — ответил тот.

3 Царь спросил: — Есть ли кто еще живой в доме Саула, кому я мог бы оказать Божью милость? Цива ответил царю: — Остался еще сын Ионафана. Он хромой на обе ноги.

11 Цива сказал царю: — Твой слуга исполнит все, что господин мой царь приказывает сделать своему слуге. И Мефи-Бошет ел за столом Давида, как один из сыновей царя.
