Hosea

Chapter 1

1 THE word of the LORD that came to Hosea, the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jereboam the son of Joash, king of Israel.

2 The beginning of the word of the LORD that came to Hosea: The LORD said to Hosea, Go, take to yourself a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms; for the land will commit great whoredom in departing from the LORD.

3 So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; who conceived and bore him a son.

4 And the LORD said to him, Call his name Jezreel; for yet a little while, and I will avenge the blood of Jezreel upon the house of Jehu, and I will cause to cease the kingdom of the house of Israel.

5 And it shall come to pass on that day, I will break the bow of Israel in the valley of Jezreel.

6 And she conceived again and bore a daughter. And the LORD said to him, Call her name La-ethrakhmath (not beloved); for I will no more have mercy upon the house of Israel; and I will utterly cause them to be carried away captive.

7 But I will have mercy on the house of Judah, and I will save them by the LORD their God, and will not save them by bow nor by sword nor by battle nor by horses nor by horsemen.

8 Now when she had weaned La-ethrakhmath, she conceived again and bore a son.

9 Then the LORD said to me, Call his name La-ammi (not my people); for you are not my people and I will not be your God.

10 Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass that in the place where it was said to them, You are not my people; there it shall be said to them, You are the sons of the living God.

11 Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel be gathered together, and they shall appoint themselves one head, and they shall come up out of the land; for great is the day of Jezreel.

1 Вот слово ГОСПОДНЕ, которое было Осии, сыну Беэри, когда в Иудее, сменяя один другого, правили Озия, Иоафам, Ахаз и Езекия, а в Израиле — Иеровоам, сын Иоаса.

2 Когда ГОСПОДЬ начал говорить Израилю через Осию, Он прежде обратился к самому пророку: «Ступай и возьми в жены себе женщину, которая — увы! — не будет тебе верной, и рожденные ею будут детьми блуда, ведь земля эта, забыв ГОСПОДА, погрязла в блуде».

3 И пошел Осия и взял в жены себе Гомер, дочь Дивлаима. В свой срок понесла она и родила ему сына.

4 Тогда ГОСПОДЬ сказал Осии: «Назови сына Изреэль, ибо скоро взыщу Я с дома Иегу за кровь, пролитую в Изреэле, и положу конец Царству израильскому!

5 Когда придет тот день, Я сокрушу военную мощь Израиля в долине Изреэль!»

6 И опять зачала Гомер — родилась у нее в этот раз дочь; и сказал ГОСПОДЬ Осии: «Назови ее Ло-Рухама („В немилости живущая“), ибо впредь ни прощать, ни миловать народ Израиля Я не стану.

7 А вот народ Иудейского царства — помилую. И спасу их как ГОСПОДЬ, их Бог, спасу не луком, не мечом, не другим каким оружием, не конницей и не колесницами».

8 В положенный срок отняла Гомер дочь от груди и после того вновь зачала и родила еще одного сына.

9 О нем ГОСПОДЬ сказал: «Этого назови Ло-Амми („Не Мой народ“), ибо отныне вы не Мой народ и не буду Я вашим Богом.

10 Но пройдет время, и станет израильтян как песку морского, которого не измерить и не счесть. И там же, где было им сказано: „Не Мой вы народ“, назовут их детьми Бога Живого.

11 Тогда воссоединятся Север и Юг — народ Иуды и народ Израиля, поставят над собой одного Вождя и уйдут с той земли, где томились в неволе; и будет день сей, день Изреэля, воистину великим.

2 Когда ГОСПОДЬ начал говорить Израилю через Осию, Он прежде обратился к самому пророку: «Ступай и возьми в жены себе женщину, которая — увы! — не будет тебе верной, и рожденные ею будут детьми блуда, ведь земля эта, забыв ГОСПОДА, погрязла в блуде».
