1 Иосиф больше не мог сдерживаться пред всеми слугами своими и велел им оставить его. Когда те удалились, Иосиф открылся братьям,

2 рыдал он при этом так громко, что египтяне услышали, и узнали об этом во дворце фараона.

3 «Я Иосиф! — сказал он братьям. — Жив ли еще отец мой?» Братья, увидев Иосифа лицом к лицу, не могли вымолвить ни слова — стояли в оцепенении.

4 «Так подойдите же ко мне», — позвал он их. Они подошли. «Я Иосиф, брат ваш, которого вы продали в Египет, — сказал он. —

5 Но теперь вам уже не стоит сокрушаться и негодовать на себя за то, что продали меня, — это Бог, чтобы спасти вам жизнь, заранее послал меня сюда.

6 Вот уже два года по всей земле голод, и еще пять лет не будут ни сеять, ни жать.

7 А Бог послал меня в эту страну прежде вас, дабы сохранить на земле остаток народа Своего и продлить жизнь вашу, совершив великое спасение.

8 Так что не вы послали меня сюда, а Бог. Он же и сделал меня главным советником фараона, господином во всем доме его и правителем всей земли египетской.

9 А теперь поспешите вернуться к отцу моему и передайте ему слова сына его Иосифа: „Бог сделал меня повелителем всего Египта. Приходи ко мне как можно скорее!

10 Жить ты будешь в земле Гошен и будешь рядом со мной — ты сам, твои дети и внуки, весь скот твой и всё, что есть у тебя.

11 Там я смогу позаботиться о тебе, чтобы ни ты, ни живущие с тобой не впали в нужду и не потеряли того, что есть у вас, — впереди еще пять лет голода“.

12 Вы видите сами, и ты, Вениамин, брат мой, видишь, что это я, Иосиф, своими устами говорю вам всё это!

13 Так расскажите же отцу о высоком положении моем в Египте и обо всем, что вы видели здесь, и скорее приведите отца моего сюда».

14 Сказав это, он бросился на шею своему брату Вениамину и плакал навзрыд. Плакал и Вениамин, обнимая его.

15 Не переставая рыдать, Иосиф расцеловал всех своих братьев, которые только после этого обрели дар речи.

16 Слух о том, что пришли к Иосифу братья, дошел до дворца фараона; фараон и его придворные были этому очень рады.

17 Фараон сказал Иосифу: «Передай мои слова братьям своим: „Вот что вам надо сейчас сделать: навьючьте своих ослов и поспешите в Ханаан,

18 заберите отца и семьи свои и приходите ко мне! Я дам вам лучшее, что есть в земле египетской, вы будете пользоваться благами земли этой“.

19 И еще скажи им, пусть они возьмут в Египте повозки для своих детей и жен и для того, чтобы привезти сюда отца.

20 Об имуществе своем, которое там оставят, пусть не жалеют: лучшее, что есть в Египте, будет у них».

21 Сыновья Израиля сделали всё, как им было сказано. А Иосиф дал им повозки, по указанию фараона, и съестные припасы в дорогу.

22 Еще он подарил каждому из них новую одежду, а Вениамину дал пять новых одежд и триста серебряных монет.

23 Отцу своему Иосиф послал десять ослов, навьюченных великолепнейшими вещами земли египетской, и десять ослиц, нагруженных зерном, хлебом и другими припасами, которые могут понадобиться отцу в дороге.

24 И когда он отправлял братьев в путь, сказал им: «Никакие худые мысли пусть не волнуют вас в дороге».

25 Так они покинули Египет и пришли в Ханаан к своему отцу Иакову.

26 Когда они сказали ему: «Иосиф жив! Он правит всем Египтом!» — замерло сердце Иакова, не поверил он им.

27 Однако, когда они пересказали отцу все слова Иосифа и когда он увидел повозки, присланные Иосифом, чтобы перевезти его, он воспрял духом.

28 «Жив мой сын Иосиф! — воскликнул Израиль. — Чего же еще мне желать?! Пойду увижусь с ним перед смертью своей».

Chapter 45

1 THEN Joseph could no longer control his emotions before all those who stood in his presence; and he said, Cause everyone to go out from me. And there remained no one with him when Joseph made himself known to his brothers.

2 And he wept aloud; and the Egyptians and the household of Pharaoh heard it.

3 And Joseph said to his brothers, I am Joseph your brother; is my father still alive? But his brothers could not answer him because they were afraid at his presence.

4 And Joseph said to his brothers, Come near to me; and they came near. And he said to them, I am Joseph your brother, whom you sold to the Egyptians.

5 Now do not be grieved, nor displeased with yourselves, that you sold me here; for it was to provide for you that God sent me before you.

6 For behold the famine has been in the land for two years; and yet there are five years, in which there will be no one that sows or that reaps.

7 And God sent me before you to preserve you a remnant on the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.

8 So now it was not you who sent me here, but God; and he has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord over all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.

9 Hasten, and go up to my father, and say to him, Thus says your son Joseph, God has made me lord over all Egypt; come down to me, do not delay;

10 And you shall dwell in the land of Goshen, and you shall be near me, you and your children and your children's children and your flocks and your herds and all that you have;

11 And there I will provide for you; for the famine will yet last five years more; lest you, your household, and all that you have perish.

12 And, behold, your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin, that it is my mouth that speaks to you.

13 And you must tell my father of all my glory in Egypt and of all that you have seen; and you shall hasten and bring down my father here.

14 Then he fell upon his brother Benjamin's neck and wept; and Benjamin wept upon his neck.

15 Moreover he kissed all his brothers and wept upon them; and after that, his brothers talked with him.

16 And the news of their meeting was reported in Pharaoh's house, saying, Joseph's brothers are come; and the news pleased Pharaoh well, and his servants.

17 And Pharaoh said to Joseph, Say to your brothers, Do this: load your beasts with wheat, and go, and carry it to the land of Canaan;

18 And take your father and your households, and come to me; and I will give you the best of the land of Egypt, and you shall eat of the fat of the land.

19 Behold, you are the governor; say to your brothers, Do this: take wagons from the land of Egypt for your wives and for your little ones, and bring your father, and come.

20 And do not regard your stuff which you leave behind; for the choicest of all the land of Egypt is yours.

21 And the sons of Israel did so; and Joseph gave them wagons, according to the command of Pharaoh, and gave them provisions for the journey.

22 To all of them he gave each man two pairs of garments; but to Benjamin he gave three hundred pieces of silver and five pairs of garments.

23 And to his father he sent after this manner: ten asses laden with the good things of Egypt, and ten she-asses laden with wheat, wine, and provisions for his father's journey.

24 So he sent his brothers away, and they departed; and he said to them, Quarrel not on the journey.

25 And they went up out of Egypt, and came to the land of Canaan to their father Jacob.

26 And they told him, saying, Joseph is still alive, and he is governor over all the land of Egypt. But Jacob disregarded their story, for he did not believe them.

27 And they told him all the words which Joseph had said to them; and when he saw the wagons which Joseph had sent to carry him, their father Jacob was content.

28 And he said, This is great news for me, for my son Joseph is still alive; I will go and see him before I die.

3 And Joseph said to his brothers, I am Joseph your brother; is my father still alive? But his brothers could not answer him because they were afraid at his presence.

4 «Так подойдите же ко мне», — позвал он их. Они подошли. «Я Иосиф, брат ваш, которого вы продали в Египет, — сказал он. —

4 And Joseph said to his brothers, Come near to me; and they came near. And he said to them, I am Joseph your brother, whom you sold to the Egyptians.

5 Но теперь вам уже не стоит сокрушаться и негодовать на себя за то, что продали меня, — это Бог, чтобы спасти вам жизнь, заранее послал меня сюда.

5 Now do not be grieved, nor displeased with yourselves, that you sold me here; for it was to provide for you that God sent me before you.

6 Вот уже два года по всей земле голод, и еще пять лет не будут ни сеять, ни жать.

6 For behold the famine has been in the land for two years; and yet there are five years, in which there will be no one that sows or that reaps.

7 А Бог послал меня в эту страну прежде вас, дабы сохранить на земле остаток народа Своего и продлить жизнь вашу, совершив великое спасение.

7 And God sent me before you to preserve you a remnant on the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.

8 Так что не вы послали меня сюда, а Бог. Он же и сделал меня главным советником фараона, господином во всем доме его и правителем всей земли египетской.

8 So now it was not you who sent me here, but God; and he has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord over all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.

9 А теперь поспешите вернуться к отцу моему и передайте ему слова сына его Иосифа: „Бог сделал меня повелителем всего Египта. Приходи ко мне как можно скорее!

9 Hasten, and go up to my father, and say to him, Thus says your son Joseph, God has made me lord over all Egypt; come down to me, do not delay;

10 Жить ты будешь в земле Гошен и будешь рядом со мной — ты сам, твои дети и внуки, весь скот твой и всё, что есть у тебя.

10 And you shall dwell in the land of Goshen, and you shall be near me, you and your children and your children's children and your flocks and your herds and all that you have;

11 Там я смогу позаботиться о тебе, чтобы ни ты, ни живущие с тобой не впали в нужду и не потеряли того, что есть у вас, — впереди еще пять лет голода“.

11 And there I will provide for you; for the famine will yet last five years more; lest you, your household, and all that you have perish.

12 Вы видите сами, и ты, Вениамин, брат мой, видишь, что это я, Иосиф, своими устами говорю вам всё это!

12 And, behold, your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin, that it is my mouth that speaks to you.

13 Так расскажите же отцу о высоком положении моем в Египте и обо всем, что вы видели здесь, и скорее приведите отца моего сюда».

13 And you must tell my father of all my glory in Egypt and of all that you have seen; and you shall hasten and bring down my father here.

14 Then he fell upon his brother Benjamin's neck and wept; and Benjamin wept upon his neck.

15 Не переставая рыдать, Иосиф расцеловал всех своих братьев, которые только после этого обрели дар речи.

15 Moreover he kissed all his brothers and wept upon them; and after that, his brothers talked with him.

16 Слух о том, что пришли к Иосифу братья, дошел до дворца фараона; фараон и его придворные были этому очень рады.

16 And the news of their meeting was reported in Pharaoh's house, saying, Joseph's brothers are come; and the news pleased Pharaoh well, and his servants.

17 Фараон сказал Иосифу: «Передай мои слова братьям своим: „Вот что вам надо сейчас сделать: навьючьте своих ослов и поспешите в Ханаан,

17 And Pharaoh said to Joseph, Say to your brothers, Do this: load your beasts with wheat, and go, and carry it to the land of Canaan;

18 заберите отца и семьи свои и приходите ко мне! Я дам вам лучшее, что есть в земле египетской, вы будете пользоваться благами земли этой“.

18 And take your father and your households, and come to me; and I will give you the best of the land of Egypt, and you shall eat of the fat of the land.

19 И еще скажи им, пусть они возьмут в Египте повозки для своих детей и жен и для того, чтобы привезти сюда отца.

19 Behold, you are the governor; say to your brothers, Do this: take wagons from the land of Egypt for your wives and for your little ones, and bring your father, and come.

20 Об имуществе своем, которое там оставят, пусть не жалеют: лучшее, что есть в Египте, будет у них».

20 And do not regard your stuff which you leave behind; for the choicest of all the land of Egypt is yours.

21 Сыновья Израиля сделали всё, как им было сказано. А Иосиф дал им повозки, по указанию фараона, и съестные припасы в дорогу.

21 And the sons of Israel did so; and Joseph gave them wagons, according to the command of Pharaoh, and gave them provisions for the journey.

22 Еще он подарил каждому из них новую одежду, а Вениамину дал пять новых одежд и триста серебряных монет.

22 To all of them he gave each man two pairs of garments; but to Benjamin he gave three hundred pieces of silver and five pairs of garments.

24 So he sent his brothers away, and they departed; and he said to them, Quarrel not on the journey.

25 Так они покинули Египет и пришли в Ханаан к своему отцу Иакову.

25 And they went up out of Egypt, and came to the land of Canaan to their father Jacob.

26 Когда они сказали ему: «Иосиф жив! Он правит всем Египтом!» — замерло сердце Иакова, не поверил он им.

26 And they told him, saying, Joseph is still alive, and he is governor over all the land of Egypt. But Jacob disregarded their story, for he did not believe them.

27 Однако, когда они пересказали отцу все слова Иосифа и когда он увидел повозки, присланные Иосифом, чтобы перевезти его, он воспрял духом.

27 And they told him all the words which Joseph had said to them; and when he saw the wagons which Joseph had sent to carry him, their father Jacob was content.
