Глава 11

1 Посему всем сердцем своим возлюби ГОСПОДА, Бога твоего, и всегда исполняй всё, что Он повелел тебе исполнять: установления, правила и заповеди Его.

2 И вам ныне должно быть ясно, что это не детям вашим довелось пережить и стать свидетелями того, как ГОСПОДЬ, Бог ваш, вразумляет людей: это не они видели величие Его и могущественную руку Его, простертую,

3 знамения Его и то, что сделал Он с фараоном, царем египетским, и со всею его страной;

4 что сделал Он с войском египетским, конницей их и колесницами, устремив на них воды Красного моря, когда они гнались за вами, и как ГОСПОДЬ обрек их на погибель в тот день.

5 И это не дети ваши видели, что делал Он для вас в пустыне, когда шли вы сюда,

6 и что сделал Он с Дафаном и Авироном, сыновьями Элиава, из колена Рувима, когда разверзлась сама земля под ними и поглотила их на виду у всего Израиля, поглотила и их домочадцев, шатры и всё их имущество!

7 Нет, это вы сами своими глазами видели все деяния великие, что ГОСПОДЬ совершил!

8 Посему вы и в ответе за исполнение каждой заповеди Наказа, который я ныне даю вам. Лишь тогда будут силы у вас, чтобы идти и овладеть той страной, ради которой вы перейдете через реку;

9 и будете наслаждаться долгою жизнью на земле, которую поклялся ГОСПОДЬ отдать вашим праотцам и их потомкам, на земле, источающей молоко и мед.

10 Страна, в которую вы идете, чтобы овладеть ею, — это не Египет, откуда вышли вы. Там засевали вы поле, и вам приходилось поливать его вручную, как огород поливают.

11 А страна, завладеть которой вы идете за реку, — это страна, где холмы и долины дождем орошаются с неба.

12 Это земля, о которой заботится ГОСПОДЬ, Бог ваш: Его око над нею весь год — от начала и до конца.

13 Если только будете следовать заповедям, что даю вам ныне: любить ГОСПОДА, Бога вашего; всею душою, всем сердцем служить Ему, —

14 тогда Он будет орошать эти земли ранними и поздними дождями, так что будет у вас и зерно, и вино молодое, и масло оливковое.

15 Для скота вашего будет трава на пастбищах ваших. Будет вдоволь у вас еды.

16 Берегитесь, чтобы кто не обольстил вас и не сбил с пути истинного, чтобы не стали вы служить чужим богам и повергаться пред ними для поклонения.

17 За это разгневается на вас ГОСПОДЬ: Он затворит небо, не будет дождя — и не уродит земля; погибнете вы — не надолго задержитесь в той прекрасной стране, которую готов отдать вам ГОСПОДЬ.

18 Слова мои да найдут место в сердцах ваших и до глубины души вашей да проникнут! Повяжите их себе на руки как знак памятный и на челах своих носите как повязку.

19 И детям своим их повторяйте, говоря о них дома и вне дома, ложась и вставая.

20 Напишите их и на дверных косяках домов ваших, и на вратах городских напишите.

21 Тогда вы и потомки ваши будете долго жить на земле, которую ГОСПОДЬ клятвенно обещал отдать праотцам вашим, — столь долго жить, сколько небеса над землей пребывают.

22 Ибо если вы тщательно соблюдете весь Наказ, который я даю вам, — будете любить ГОСПОДА, Бога вашего, ходить путями, на которые Он направляет вас, и Его приверженцами будете,

23 то ГОСПОДЬ заставит отступить перед вами все эти народы, которые и многочисленнее, и сильнее вас, изгоните вы их с тех мест, которые они считали своими.

24 Станет вашей каждая пядь земли, на которую ступит нога ваша: от Великой пустыни до Ливана, от реки Евфрат до моря западного будут владения ваши.

25 Никто не сможет дать вам отпор. Куда бы вы ни пошли, там уже будет, как и обещал ГОСПОДЬ, Бог ваш, страх и ужас перед вами.

26 И вот сегодня я предлагаю вам сделать выбор между благословением и проклятием.

27 Благословение — если повиноваться вы будете заповедям ГОСПОДА, Бога вашего, тем, которые объявляю я ныне;

28 проклятие же — если ослушаетесь заповедей Его и с пути, вам ныне заповеданного, свернете, став приверженцами других богов, которых вы и не знали.

29 А когда приведет вас ГОСПОДЬ, Бог ваш, в ту страну, овладеть которой вы идете, то слова благословения вы должны провозгласить на горе Геризим, а на горе Гевал — слова проклятия.

30 (Горы сии — за Иорданом, вдоль дороги на западе; в земле ханаанеев, живущих на равнине, напротив Гилгала, рядом с дубравой Морэ.)

31 Ибо вот вы уже собрались перейти Иордан и овладеть землею, которую ГОСПОДЬ, Бог ваш, отдает вам. И когда вы овладеете ею и поселитесь в ней,

32 непременно соблюдайте все установления и правила, которые я излагаю вам ныне.

Chapter 11

1 THEREFORE you shall love the LORD your God, and keep his precepts, his statutes, his judgments, and his commandments, always.

2 And know this day that I do not speak to your children who have not known and who have not seen the discipline of the LORD your God, his greatness, his mighty hand, and his outstretched arm,

3 And his signs, and his deeds, which he did in Egypt to Pharaoh the king of Egypt, and to all his land;

4 And what he did to the army of the Egyptians, to their horses and to their chariots and to their horsemen; how he made the water of the Red Sea to overflow them as they pursued after you, and how the LORD has destroyed them to this day;

5 And what he did to you in the wilderness, until you came into this place;

6 And what he did to Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, the son of Reuben; how the earth opened its mouth, and swallowed them up, and their children and their tents and everything which they had, as they stood on their feet in the midst of all Israel;

7 But it is your eyes that have seen all the great acts of the LORD which he did.

8 Therefore you shall keep all the commandments which I command you this day, that you may be strong and go in and possess the land which you are going over to possess;

9 And that you may prolong your days in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers to give to them and to their descendants, a land that flows with milk and honey.

10 For the land into which you are entering to possess it is not like the land of Egypt, from which you came out, where you sowed your seed and watered it with your feet, like a vegetable garden;

11 But the land which you are going over to possess is a land of mountains and valleys, that drinks water of the rain from heaven;

12 A land which the LORD your God cares for always; the eyes of the LORD your God are upon it, from the beginning of the year to the end of the year.

13 And if you shall hearken diligently to the commandments which I command you this day, to love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,

14 He will give you the rain of your land in its due season, the early rain and the latter rain, and you shall gather in your grain and your wine and your oil.

15 And he will make grass to grow in your fields for your cattle, that you shall eat and be full.

16 Take heed to yourselves, lest your heart be enticed, and you turn aside and serve other gods and worship them;

17 And then the LORD'S anger be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain and that the land may not produce its fruit, and that you perish quickly from off the good land which the LORD your God gives you.

18 Therefore you shall lay up these commandments in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hands, that they may be a token between your eyes.

19 And you shall teach them to your children, that they may talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.

20 And you shall write them on the doorposts of your houses, and upon your gates;

21 That your days and the days of your children, may be multiplied in the land which the LORD your God swore to your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon earth.

22 For if you shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you this day, and do them, and love the LORD your God, and walk in all his ways, and cleave to him;

23 Then the LORD will destroy all these nations from before you, and you shall possess nations greater and mightier than yourselves.

24 Every place whereon the sole of your foot treads shall be yours; from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the great river Euphrates, to the uttermost sea shall your territory be.

25 There shall no man be able to stand before you; for the LORD your God shall lay the fear of you and the dread of you upon all the land that you shall tread, as he has said to you.

26 Behold, I set before you this day blessings and curses;

27 Blessings, if you obey the commandments of the LORD your God which I am commanding you this day:

28 And curses, if you will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, and if you turn aside from the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which you have not known.

29 And it shall come to pass, when the LORD your God has brought you into the land whither you are entering to possess it, you shall put the blessings upon mount Gerizim, and the curses upon mount Gebel.

30 Behold, they are on the other side of the Jordan, behind the way, toward the setting of the sun, in the land of the Canaanites, who dwell in the low desert over against Gilgal, towards the house of the oak of Mamre.

31 For you are to cross the Jordan to go in to possess the land which the LORD your God gives you, and you shall possess it and dwell therein.

32 And you shall observe to do all the statutes and judgments which I set before you this day.

1 Посему всем сердцем своим возлюби ГОСПОДА, Бога твоего, и всегда исполняй всё, что Он повелел тебе исполнять: установления, правила и заповеди Его.

1 THEREFORE you shall love the LORD your God, and keep his precepts, his statutes, his judgments, and his commandments, always.

2 И вам ныне должно быть ясно, что это не детям вашим довелось пережить и стать свидетелями того, как ГОСПОДЬ, Бог ваш, вразумляет людей: это не они видели величие Его и могущественную руку Его, простертую,

2 And know this day that I do not speak to your children who have not known and who have not seen the discipline of the LORD your God, his greatness, his mighty hand, and his outstretched arm,

3 знамения Его и то, что сделал Он с фараоном, царем египетским, и со всею его страной;

3 And his signs, and his deeds, which he did in Egypt to Pharaoh the king of Egypt, and to all his land;

4 что сделал Он с войском египетским, конницей их и колесницами, устремив на них воды Красного моря, когда они гнались за вами, и как ГОСПОДЬ обрек их на погибель в тот день.

4 And what he did to the army of the Egyptians, to their horses and to their chariots and to their horsemen; how he made the water of the Red Sea to overflow them as they pursued after you, and how the LORD has destroyed them to this day;

5 И это не дети ваши видели, что делал Он для вас в пустыне, когда шли вы сюда,

5 And what he did to you in the wilderness, until you came into this place;

6 и что сделал Он с Дафаном и Авироном, сыновьями Элиава, из колена Рувима, когда разверзлась сама земля под ними и поглотила их на виду у всего Израиля, поглотила и их домочадцев, шатры и всё их имущество!

6 And what he did to Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, the son of Reuben; how the earth opened its mouth, and swallowed them up, and their children and their tents and everything which they had, as they stood on their feet in the midst of all Israel;

7 Нет, это вы сами своими глазами видели все деяния великие, что ГОСПОДЬ совершил!

7 But it is your eyes that have seen all the great acts of the LORD which he did.

8 Посему вы и в ответе за исполнение каждой заповеди Наказа, который я ныне даю вам. Лишь тогда будут силы у вас, чтобы идти и овладеть той страной, ради которой вы перейдете через реку;

8 Therefore you shall keep all the commandments which I command you this day, that you may be strong and go in and possess the land which you are going over to possess;

9 и будете наслаждаться долгою жизнью на земле, которую поклялся ГОСПОДЬ отдать вашим праотцам и их потомкам, на земле, источающей молоко и мед.

9 And that you may prolong your days in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers to give to them and to their descendants, a land that flows with milk and honey.

10 Страна, в которую вы идете, чтобы овладеть ею, — это не Египет, откуда вышли вы. Там засевали вы поле, и вам приходилось поливать его вручную, как огород поливают.

10 For the land into which you are entering to possess it is not like the land of Egypt, from which you came out, where you sowed your seed and watered it with your feet, like a vegetable garden;

11 А страна, завладеть которой вы идете за реку, — это страна, где холмы и долины дождем орошаются с неба.

11 But the land which you are going over to possess is a land of mountains and valleys, that drinks water of the rain from heaven;

12 Это земля, о которой заботится ГОСПОДЬ, Бог ваш: Его око над нею весь год — от начала и до конца.

12 A land which the LORD your God cares for always; the eyes of the LORD your God are upon it, from the beginning of the year to the end of the year.

13 Если только будете следовать заповедям, что даю вам ныне: любить ГОСПОДА, Бога вашего; всею душою, всем сердцем служить Ему, —

13 And if you shall hearken diligently to the commandments which I command you this day, to love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,

14 тогда Он будет орошать эти земли ранними и поздними дождями, так что будет у вас и зерно, и вино молодое, и масло оливковое.

14 He will give you the rain of your land in its due season, the early rain and the latter rain, and you shall gather in your grain and your wine and your oil.

15 Для скота вашего будет трава на пастбищах ваших. Будет вдоволь у вас еды.

15 And he will make grass to grow in your fields for your cattle, that you shall eat and be full.

16 Берегитесь, чтобы кто не обольстил вас и не сбил с пути истинного, чтобы не стали вы служить чужим богам и повергаться пред ними для поклонения.

16 Take heed to yourselves, lest your heart be enticed, and you turn aside and serve other gods and worship them;

17 За это разгневается на вас ГОСПОДЬ: Он затворит небо, не будет дождя — и не уродит земля; погибнете вы — не надолго задержитесь в той прекрасной стране, которую готов отдать вам ГОСПОДЬ.

17 And then the LORD'S anger be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain and that the land may not produce its fruit, and that you perish quickly from off the good land which the LORD your God gives you.

18 Слова мои да найдут место в сердцах ваших и до глубины души вашей да проникнут! Повяжите их себе на руки как знак памятный и на челах своих носите как повязку.

18 Therefore you shall lay up these commandments in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hands, that they may be a token between your eyes.

19 И детям своим их повторяйте, говоря о них дома и вне дома, ложась и вставая.

19 And you shall teach them to your children, that they may talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.

20 Напишите их и на дверных косяках домов ваших, и на вратах городских напишите.

20 And you shall write them on the doorposts of your houses, and upon your gates;

21 Тогда вы и потомки ваши будете долго жить на земле, которую ГОСПОДЬ клятвенно обещал отдать праотцам вашим, — столь долго жить, сколько небеса над землей пребывают.

21 That your days and the days of your children, may be multiplied in the land which the LORD your God swore to your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon earth.

22 Ибо если вы тщательно соблюдете весь Наказ, который я даю вам, — будете любить ГОСПОДА, Бога вашего, ходить путями, на которые Он направляет вас, и Его приверженцами будете,

22 For if you shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you this day, and do them, and love the LORD your God, and walk in all his ways, and cleave to him;

23 то ГОСПОДЬ заставит отступить перед вами все эти народы, которые и многочисленнее, и сильнее вас, изгоните вы их с тех мест, которые они считали своими.

23 Then the LORD will destroy all these nations from before you, and you shall possess nations greater and mightier than yourselves.

24 Станет вашей каждая пядь земли, на которую ступит нога ваша: от Великой пустыни до Ливана, от реки Евфрат до моря западного будут владения ваши.

24 Every place whereon the sole of your foot treads shall be yours; from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the great river Euphrates, to the uttermost sea shall your territory be.

25 Никто не сможет дать вам отпор. Куда бы вы ни пошли, там уже будет, как и обещал ГОСПОДЬ, Бог ваш, страх и ужас перед вами.

25 There shall no man be able to stand before you; for the LORD your God shall lay the fear of you and the dread of you upon all the land that you shall tread, as he has said to you.

26 И вот сегодня я предлагаю вам сделать выбор между благословением и проклятием.

26 Behold, I set before you this day blessings and curses;

27 Благословение — если повиноваться вы будете заповедям ГОСПОДА, Бога вашего, тем, которые объявляю я ныне;

27 Blessings, if you obey the commandments of the LORD your God which I am commanding you this day:

28 проклятие же — если ослушаетесь заповедей Его и с пути, вам ныне заповеданного, свернете, став приверженцами других богов, которых вы и не знали.

28 And curses, if you will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, and if you turn aside from the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which you have not known.

29 А когда приведет вас ГОСПОДЬ, Бог ваш, в ту страну, овладеть которой вы идете, то слова благословения вы должны провозгласить на горе Геризим, а на горе Гевал — слова проклятия.

29 And it shall come to pass, when the LORD your God has brought you into the land whither you are entering to possess it, you shall put the blessings upon mount Gerizim, and the curses upon mount Gebel.

30 (Горы сии — за Иорданом, вдоль дороги на западе; в земле ханаанеев, живущих на равнине, напротив Гилгала, рядом с дубравой Морэ.)

31 Ибо вот вы уже собрались перейти Иордан и овладеть землею, которую ГОСПОДЬ, Бог ваш, отдает вам. И когда вы овладеете ею и поселитесь в ней,

31 For you are to cross the Jordan to go in to possess the land which the LORD your God gives you, and you shall possess it and dwell therein.

32 непременно соблюдайте все установления и правила, которые я излагаю вам ныне.

32 And you shall observe to do all the statutes and judgments which I set before you this day.
