1 В то время Амрафел, царь Вавилонии, . Ариох, царь Элласара, Кедорлаомер, царь Елама, и Тидал, царь Гоима,

2 вместе пошли войной на Беру, царя Содома, Биршу, царя Гоморры, Шинава, царя Адмы, Шемевера, царя Цевоима, и на царя Белы (то есть Цоара).

3 Эти цари объединили силы в долине Сиддим (где теперь Мёртвое море ).

4 Уже двенадцать лет они были под властью Кедорлаомера, но на тринадцатый год восстали.

5 В четырнадцатый год Кедорлаомер и союзные с ним цари вышли и разбили рефаитов в Аштерот-Карнаиме, зузитов в Гаме, емитов в Шав-Кириатаиме

6 и хорреев в нагорьях Сеира, по дороге в Ел-Паран, на краю пустыни.

7 Оттуда они повернули назад и пришли к Ен-Мишпат (то есть Кадешу), и завоевали всю землю амаликитян, а также аморреев, которые жили в Хацацон-Тамаре.

8 Против них выступили царь Содома, царь Гоморры, царь Адмы, царь Цевоима и царь Белы (то есть Цоара). В долине Сиддим они вступили в битву

9 против Кедорлаомера, царя Елама, Тидала, царя Гоима, Амрафела, царя Вавилонии, и Ариоха, царя Элласара, – четыре царя против пяти.

10 В долине Сиддим было много смоляных ям; когда цари Содома и Гоморры обратились в бегство, многие упали в них, а остальные бежали в горы.

11 Четыре царя захватили всё имущество Содома и Гоморры и все их запасы и ушли.

12 Они забрали также племянника Ибрама Лута, который жил в Содоме, и всё его имущество.

13 Один из тех, кто спасся, пришёл и рассказал об этом еврею Ибраму. Ибрам жил неподалёку от великих деревьев, принадлежавших аморрею Мамре, брату Эшкола и Анера – все они были союзниками Ибрама.

14 Когда Ибрам услышал, что его родственник в плену, он созвал триста восемнадцать способных к бою мужчин, рождённых в его доме, погнался за четырьмя царями, и преследовал их до Дана.

15 Ночью Ибрам разделил свой отряд, напал на них и обратил в бегство, преследуя их до Ховы, к северу от Дамаска.

16 Он возвратил всё добро и своего родственника Лута со всем имуществом, и женщинами, и людьми.

17 Когда Ибрам возвращался после победы над Кедорлаомером и союзными с ним царями, царь Содома вышел встречать его в долину Шаве (то есть Царскую долину);

18 и Малик-Цедек, царь Салима, вынес лепёшки и вино. Он был священнослужителем Бога Высочайшего,

19 и он благословил Ибрама, сказав: – Благословен будь Ибрам от Бога Высочайшего, Творца неба и земли!

20 И славен будь Бог Высочайший, отдавший твоих врагов в руки твои. Ибрам дал ему от всего десятую часть.

21 Царь Содома сказал Ибраму: – Отдай мне моих людей, а добро оставь себе.

22 Но Ибрам сказал царю Содома: – Я поднял руку мою к Вечному, Богу Высочайшему, Творцу неба и земли, и дал клятву,

23 что не приму от тебя даже нитки или ремешка от сандалий, не возьму ничего твоего, чтобы ты не мог сказать: «Я обогатил Ибрама».

24 Я возьму только то, что съели мои люди, а кто пошёл со мной – Анер, Эшкол и Мамре – пусть возьмут свою долю.

2 That these made6213 war4421 with Bera1298 king4428 of Sodom,5467 and with Birsha1306 king4428 of Gomorrah,6017 Shinab8134 king4428 of Admah,126 and Shemeber8038 king4428 of Zeboiim,6636 and the king4428 of Bela,1106 which1931 is Zoar.6820

3 All3605 these428 were joined2266 together in the vale6010 of Siddim,7708 which1931 is the salt4417 sea.3220

4 Twelve8147 6240 years8141 they served5647 Chedorlaomer,3540 and in the thirteenth7969 6240 year8141 they rebelled.4775

5 And in the fourteenth year came Chedorlaomer, and the kings that were with him, and smote the Rephaims in Ashteroth Karnaim, and the Zuzims in Ham, and the Emims in Shaveh Kiriathaim,

6 And the Horites2752 in their mount2042 Seir,8165 to Elparan,364 which834 is by the wilderness.4057

7 And they returned,7725 and came935 to Enmishpat,5880 which is Kadesh,6946 and smote5221 all3605 the country7704 of the Amalekites,6003 and also1571 the Amorites,567 that dwelled3427 in Hazezontamar.2688

8 And there went3318 out the king4428 of Sodom,5467 and the king4428 of Gomorrah,6017 and the king4428 of Admah,126 and the king4428 of Zeboiim,6636 and the king4428 of Bela1106 (the same1931 is Zoar;6820) and they joined6186 battle4421 with them in the vale6010 of Siddim;7708

9 With Chedorlaomer3540 the king4428 of Elam,5867 and with Tidal8413 king4428 of nations,1471 and Amraphel569 king4428 of Shinar,8152 and Arioch746 king4428 of Ellasar;495 four702 kings4428 with five.2568

10 And the vale6010 of Siddim7708 was full of slime pits;2564 and the kings4428 of Sodom5467 and Gomorrah6017 fled,5127 and fell5307 there;8033 and they that remained7604 fled5127 to the mountain.2022

11 And they took3947 all3605 the goods7399 of Sodom5467 and Gomorrah,6017 and all3605 their victuals,400 and went3212 their way.3212

12 And they took3947 Lot,3876 Abram's87 brother's251 son,1121 who1931 dwelled3427 in Sodom,5467 and his goods,7399 and departed.3212

13 And there came935 one that had escaped,6412 and told5046 Abram87 the Hebrew;5680 for he dwelled7931 in the plain436 of Mamre4471 the Amorite,567 brother251 of Eshcol,812 and brother251 of Aner:6063 and these1992 were confederate1167 1285 with Abram.87

15 And he divided2505 himself against5921 them, he and his servants,5650 by night,3915 and smote5221 them, and pursued7291 them to Hobah,2327 which834 is on the left8040 hand8040 of Damascus.1834

23 That I will not take3947 from a thread2339 even5704 to a shoelatchet,8288 5275 and that I will not take3947 any3605 thing that is yours, lest3808 you should say,559 I have made Abram87 rich:6238

24 Save1107 only7535 that which834 the young5288 men have eaten,398 and the portion2506 of the men582 which834 went1980 with me, Aner,6063 Eshcol,812 and Mamre;4471 let them take3947 their portion.2506
