Глава 2

1 Таким образом совершены небеса и земля и все воинство их.

2 И совершил Бог днем седьмым дело Свое, которое Он делал, и почил в день седьмый от всего дела Своего, которое Он делал.

3 И благословил Бог день седьмый, и освятил его, ибо в оный почил от всего дела Своего, которое Бог творил и делал.

4 Сии суть порождения небес и земли, при сотворении их, в то время, когда Иегова Бог создал землю и небеса.

5 И всякий полевой кустарник, которого до того не было на земле, и всякую полевую траву, которая до того не произрастала; ибо Иегова Бог не посылал дождя на землю, и не было человека для возделания поля.

6 Только пар поднимался с земли, и орошал все лице земли.

7 Иегова Бог создал человека из персти земной, и вдунул в ноздри его дыхание жизни, и человек стал душею живою.

8 И насадил Иегова Бог сад в Едеме к востоку; и поставил там человека, которого создал.

9 И произрастил Иегова Бог из земли всякое дерево, прекрасное видом и хорошее для пищи, и дерево жизни посреди сада, и дерево познания добра и зла.

10 Из Едема выходила река для орошения сада; и потом разделялась на четыре потока.

11 Имя первого Фисон: он обтекает всю землю Хавила, где есть золото;

12 И золото земли той наилучшее; там также бдолах и камень оникс.

13 Имя второй реки Гигон: сия обтекает всю землю Хуш.

14 Имя третьей реке Хиддекель: сия протекает против Ассирии. Четвертая река есть Евфрат.

15 И взял Иегова Бог человека, и поставил его в саду Едемском, чтобы он возделывал его и хранил его.

16 И заповедал Иегова Бог человеку, говоря: ешь плоды со всякого дерева в сем саду;

17 А плодов древа познания добра и зла не ешь; ибо в день, в который ты вкусишь их, смертию умрешь.

18 И сказал Иегова Бог: нехорошо быть человеку одному; сделаю ему помощь, приличную ему.

19 Ибо когда Иегова Бог создал из земли всех зверей полевых, и всех птиц небесных, и привел к человеку, чтобы он посмотрел, как назвать их, и чтобы, как наречет человек всякую душу живую, так и было имя ей.

20 И когда нарек человек имена всему скоту и птицам небесным и всем зверям полевым, тогда для человека не нашлось помощи, приличной ему.

21 И навел Иегова Бог на человека крепкий сон; и, когда он уснул, взял одно из ребр его, и закрыл то место плотью.

22 И создал Иегова Бог из ребра, взятого у человека, жену, и привел ее к человеку.

23 Тогда человек сказал: вот, это кость из костей моих и плоть от плоти моей; она будет называться женою: ибо она взята из мужа.

24 Посему оставит человек отца своего и свою мать, и прилепится к жене своей; и будут одна плоть.

25 И были они оба наги, человек и жена его, и не стыдились.

Chapter 2

1 THUS the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.

2 And on the sixth day God, finished his works which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his works which he had made.

3 So God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it; because in it he had rested from all his works which God created and made.

4 These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the heavens and the earth.

5 And all the trees of the field were not yet in the ground, and every herb of the field had not yet sprung up; for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was no man to till the ground.

6 But a powerful spring gushed out of the earth, and watered all the face of the ground.

7 And the LORD God formed Adam out of the soil of the earth, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

9 And out of the ground the LORD God made to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

10 And a river flowed out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it divided and became into four heads.

11 The name of the first is Pishon; it is the one which encircles the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;

12 And the gold of that land is good; there is also beryllium and the onyx stone.

13 And the name of the second river is Gihon, the one which encircles the whole land of Ethiopia.

14 And the name of the third river is Deklat (Tigris); it is the one which flows east of Assyria. And the fourth river is the Euphrates.

15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him in the garden of Eden to till it and to keep it.

16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat;

17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat; for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.

18 Then the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper who is like him.

19 And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them; and whatever Adam called every living creature, that was its name.

20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to all fowl of the air, and to all wild beasts; but for Adam there was not found a helper who was equal to him.

21 So the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept; and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the place with flesh in its stead;

22 And of the rib which the LORD God had taken from Adam he made a woman, and brought her to Adam.

23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife, and they shall be one flesh.

25 And they were both naked, Adam and his wife, and were not ashamed.

3 И благословил Бог день седьмый, и освятил его, ибо в оный почил от всего дела Своего, которое Бог творил и делал.

3 So God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it; because in it he had rested from all his works which God created and made.

4 Сии суть порождения небес и земли, при сотворении их, в то время, когда Иегова Бог создал землю и небеса.

4 These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the heavens and the earth.

5 И всякий полевой кустарник, которого до того не было на земле, и всякую полевую траву, которая до того не произрастала; ибо Иегова Бог не посылал дождя на землю, и не было человека для возделания поля.

6 Только пар поднимался с земли, и орошал все лице земли.

7 Иегова Бог создал человека из персти земной, и вдунул в ноздри его дыхание жизни, и человек стал душею живою.

10 Из Едема выходила река для орошения сада; и потом разделялась на четыре потока.

10 And a river flowed out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it divided and became into four heads.

11 Имя первого Фисон: он обтекает всю землю Хавила, где есть золото;

11 The name of the first is Pishon; it is the one which encircles the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;

12 И золото земли той наилучшее; там также бдолах и камень оникс.

12 And the gold of that land is good; there is also beryllium and the onyx stone.

15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him in the garden of Eden to till it and to keep it.

16 И заповедал Иегова Бог человеку, говоря: ешь плоды со всякого дерева в сем саду;

16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat;

17 А плодов древа познания добра и зла не ешь; ибо в день, в который ты вкусишь их, смертию умрешь.

17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat; for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.

18 И сказал Иегова Бог: нехорошо быть человеку одному; сделаю ему помощь, приличную ему.

18 Then the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper who is like him.

19 Ибо когда Иегова Бог создал из земли всех зверей полевых, и всех птиц небесных, и привел к человеку, чтобы он посмотрел, как назвать их, и чтобы, как наречет человек всякую душу живую, так и было имя ей.

19 And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them; and whatever Adam called every living creature, that was its name.

20 И когда нарек человек имена всему скоту и птицам небесным и всем зверям полевым, тогда для человека не нашлось помощи, приличной ему.

20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to all fowl of the air, and to all wild beasts; but for Adam there was not found a helper who was equal to him.

21 И навел Иегова Бог на человека крепкий сон; и, когда он уснул, взял одно из ребр его, и закрыл то место плотью.

22 И создал Иегова Бог из ребра, взятого у человека, жену, и привел ее к человеку.

23 Тогда человек сказал: вот, это кость из костей моих и плоть от плоти моей; она будет называться женою: ибо она взята из мужа.

23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

24 Посему оставит человек отца своего и свою мать, и прилепится к жене своей; и будут одна плоть.

24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife, and they shall be one flesh.

25 И были они оба наги, человек и жена его, и не стыдились.

25 And they were both naked, Adam and his wife, and were not ashamed.
