Глава 3

1 Хитрейший из всех зверей полевых, которых Иегова Бог создал, был змей. Он сказал жене: подлинно ли сказал Бог: не ешьте плодов ни с какого дерева в саду?

2 Жена сказала змею: мы едим плоды с дерев в саду.

3 Только плодов с дерева, которое посреди сада, сказал Бог: не вкушайте, и не прикасайтесь к нему, чтобы не умереть.

4 И сказал змей жене: не умрете;

5 Но знает Бог, что в день, в который вы вкусите плода его, откроются глаза ваши, и вы будете, как Боги, знающие добро и зло.

6 Жене показалось, что это дерево хорошо для пищи, и что оно приятно для очей, и что прекрасно это дерево, потому что дает знание; и она взяла плод его, и ела; также дала и мужу своему, и он ел.

7 Тогда у них обоих открылись глаза, и они увидели, что наги, и сшили смоковные листья, и сделали себе опоясания.

8 И услышали глас Иеговы Бога, ходящего в саду во время прохлады дня; и скрылся человек и жена его от лица Иеговы Бога между деревьями сада.

9 И воззвал Иегова Бог к человеку и сказал ему: где ты?

10 Он сказал: я услышал глас Твой в саду и убоялся, потому что я наг, и скрылся.

11 А Он сказал: кто тебе сказал, что ты наг? Разве ты вкусил от древа, от которого Я запретил тебе вкушать?

12 И сказал человек: жена, которую Ты мне дал, она дала мне плод с этого дерева, и я ел.

13 И сказал Иегова Бог жене: что ты это сделала? И сказала жена: змей обольстил меня, и я ела.

14 Тогда Иегова Бог сказал змею: за то, что ты это сделал, проклят ты пред всеми скотами и пред всеми зверями полевыми; ты будешь ходить на чреве твоем, и будешь есть прах во все дни жизни твоей.

15 И вражду положу между тобою и между женою, и между семенем твоим и между семенем ее; оно будет поражать тебя в голову, а ты будешь жалить его в пяту.

16 Жене сказал: скорбь на скорбь наведу Я тебе в беременности твоей; с болезнию будешь рождать детей; и к мужу твоему влечение твое, и он будет господствовать над тобою.

17 И человеку сказал: за то, что ты послушал слов жены твоей, и ел с древа, о котором Я заповедал тебе говоря: не вкушай от него, - проклята земля за тебя; со скорбию будешь питаться от нее во все дни жизни твоей.

18 Терн и волчец произрастит она тебе; и ты будешь питаться полевою травою.

19 В поте лица своего будешь есть хлеб, пока не возвратишься в землю, поелику ты из нее взят; ибо ты персть, и в персть возвратишься.

20 И нарек человек жене своей имя: Ева {Жизнь}, ибо сделалась матерью всех живущих.

21 И сделал Иегова Бог человеку и жене его одежды кожаные, и одел их.

22 И сказал Иегова Бог: вот, человек стал, как один из Нас, зная добро и зло; теперь, чтобы не простер руки своей, и не взял плода с дерева жизни, и не вкусил его, и не стал жить во век.

23 И выслал его Иегова Бог из сада Едемского возделывать землю, из которой он взят.

24 И когда изгнал человека, тогда на восток у сада Едемского поставил Херувимов и пламенный обращающийся меч, чтобы охранять путь к древу жизни.

Chapter 3

1 NOW the serpent was more subtle than all the wild beasts that the LORD God had made. And the serpent said to the woman, Truly has God said that you shall not eat of any tree of the garden?

2 And the woman said to the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of all the trees of the garden;

3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, You shall not eat of it, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.

4 And the serpent said to the woman, You shall not surely die;

5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it, your eyes shall be opened, and you shall be like gods, knowing good and evil.

6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and that the tree was delightful to look at, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and she also gave to her husband with her; and he did eat.

7 Then the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day; and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden.

9 And the LORD God called to Adam, and said to him, Where are you, Adam?

10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and when I saw that I was naked, I hid myself.

11 And the LORD God said to him, Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?

12 And Adam said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the fruit of the tree, and I did eat.

13 And the LORD God said to the woman, What is this that you have done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

14 And the LORD God said to the serpent, Because you have done this thing, cursed are you above all cattle, and above all beasts of the field; on your belly shall you go, and dust shall you eat all the days of your life;

15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your posterity and her posterity; her posterity shall tread your head under foot, and you shall strike him in his heel.

16 To the woman he said, I will greatly multiply your pain and your conception; in pain you shall bring forth children, and you shall be dependent on your husband, and he shall rule over you.

17 And to Adam he said, Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten of the tree of which I commanded you, saying, You shall not eat of it, cursed is the ground for your sake; in sorrow shall you eat the fruits of it all the days of your life;

18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to you; and you shall eat the herb of the field;

19 In the sweat of your face shall you eat bread, until you return to the ground; out of it you were taken; for dust you are, and to dust shall you return.

20 So Adam called his wife's name Eve because she was the mother of all living.

21 And the LORD God made for Adam and for his wife coats of skin, and clothed them.

22 Then the LORD God said, Behold, the man has become like one of us, to know good and evil; and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever;

23 Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.

24 So the LORD God drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubim, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the path to the tree of life.

1 NOW the serpent was more subtle than all the wild beasts that the LORD God had made. And the serpent said to the woman, Truly has God said that you shall not eat of any tree of the garden?

2 Жена сказала змею: мы едим плоды с дерев в саду.

2 And the woman said to the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of all the trees of the garden;

3 Только плодов с дерева, которое посреди сада, сказал Бог: не вкушайте, и не прикасайтесь к нему, чтобы не умереть.

3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, You shall not eat of it, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.

4 И сказал змей жене: не умрете;

4 And the serpent said to the woman, You shall not surely die;

5 Но знает Бог, что в день, в который вы вкусите плода его, откроются глаза ваши, и вы будете, как Боги, знающие добро и зло.

5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it, your eyes shall be opened, and you shall be like gods, knowing good and evil.

6 Жене показалось, что это дерево хорошо для пищи, и что оно приятно для очей, и что прекрасно это дерево, потому что дает знание; и она взяла плод его, и ела; также дала и мужу своему, и он ел.

6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and that the tree was delightful to look at, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and she also gave to her husband with her; and he did eat.

7 Тогда у них обоих открылись глаза, и они увидели, что наги, и сшили смоковные листья, и сделали себе опоясания.

7 Then the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

8 И услышали глас Иеговы Бога, ходящего в саду во время прохлады дня; и скрылся человек и жена его от лица Иеговы Бога между деревьями сада.

8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day; and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden.

9 И воззвал Иегова Бог к человеку и сказал ему: где ты?

9 And the LORD God called to Adam, and said to him, Where are you, Adam?

10 Он сказал: я услышал глас Твой в саду и убоялся, потому что я наг, и скрылся.

10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and when I saw that I was naked, I hid myself.

11 А Он сказал: кто тебе сказал, что ты наг? Разве ты вкусил от древа, от которого Я запретил тебе вкушать?

11 And the LORD God said to him, Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?

12 И сказал человек: жена, которую Ты мне дал, она дала мне плод с этого дерева, и я ел.

12 And Adam said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the fruit of the tree, and I did eat.

13 И сказал Иегова Бог жене: что ты это сделала? И сказала жена: змей обольстил меня, и я ела.

13 And the LORD God said to the woman, What is this that you have done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

14 Тогда Иегова Бог сказал змею: за то, что ты это сделал, проклят ты пред всеми скотами и пред всеми зверями полевыми; ты будешь ходить на чреве твоем, и будешь есть прах во все дни жизни твоей.

14 And the LORD God said to the serpent, Because you have done this thing, cursed are you above all cattle, and above all beasts of the field; on your belly shall you go, and dust shall you eat all the days of your life;

15 И вражду положу между тобою и между женою, и между семенем твоим и между семенем ее; оно будет поражать тебя в голову, а ты будешь жалить его в пяту.

17 And to Adam he said, Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten of the tree of which I commanded you, saying, You shall not eat of it, cursed is the ground for your sake; in sorrow shall you eat the fruits of it all the days of your life;

18 Терн и волчец произрастит она тебе; и ты будешь питаться полевою травою.

18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to you; and you shall eat the herb of the field;

19 В поте лица своего будешь есть хлеб, пока не возвратишься в землю, поелику ты из нее взят; ибо ты персть, и в персть возвратишься.

19 In the sweat of your face shall you eat bread, until you return to the ground; out of it you were taken; for dust you are, and to dust shall you return.

20 И нарек человек жене своей имя: Ева {Жизнь}, ибо сделалась матерью всех живущих.

20 So Adam called his wife's name Eve because she was the mother of all living.

21 И сделал Иегова Бог человеку и жене его одежды кожаные, и одел их.

21 And the LORD God made for Adam and for his wife coats of skin, and clothed them.

22 И сказал Иегова Бог: вот, человек стал, как один из Нас, зная добро и зло; теперь, чтобы не простер руки своей, и не взял плода с дерева жизни, и не вкусил его, и не стал жить во век.

23 Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.

24 И когда изгнал человека, тогда на восток у сада Едемского поставил Херувимов и пламенный обращающийся меч, чтобы охранять путь к древу жизни.

24 So the LORD God drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubim, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the path to the tree of life.
