Книга Иова

Глава 42

1 Тогда ответил Господу Иов:

2 «Я знаю, Господи, Ты можешь всё, Ты строишь Свои планы, и ничто их не может изменить.

3 Ты, Господи, вопрос мне задал: „Кто этот человек, который бессмысленные слова говорит?” Господь, я говорил о том, что слишком велико для моего рассудка, я этого не понимал.

4 Ты мне сказал: „Иов, послушай, Я буду спрашивать тебя, и ты ответь”.

5 Я в прошлом слышал о Тебе, Господь, теперь же видел я Тебя воочию.

6 Мне стыдно за себя, Господь, я очень сожалею! Сижу в пыли и пепле я, но обещаю изменить и жизнь, и сердце».

7 Господь, закончив говорить с Иовом, обратился к Елифазу из Феману. Господь сказал Елифазу: «Я рассержен на тебя и твоих двух друзей, потому что ты ничего не сказал правильного обо Мне. Однако Иов — Мой слуга, он сказал обо Мне всё верно.

8 Так что теперь, Елифаз, возьми семь быков и семь баранов и отнеси их Моему слуге Иову, убей их и воздай как жертву всесожжения за себя. Мой раб Иов будет молиться за вас, и Я отвечу молитве его. Я не накажу вас по заслугам, хотя вы должны быть наказаны, потому что вы ничего правильного обо Мне не сказали, но Мой слуга Иов сказал всё верно».

9 Так что Елифаз из Фемана, Билдад из Шуаха и Софар из Наамаха подчинились Господу, и тогда Господь услышал молитву Иова.

10 Иов молился за своих друзей, и Бог его снова сделал удачливым и дал ему вдвое больше того, чем владел он прежде.

11 Все братья и сестры вернулись в дом Иова, и каждый, кто знал Иова прежде, пришёл в его дом и ел с ним вместе. Они утешали его и испытывали сожаление, что Бог принёс Иову столько несчастий. После этого каждый дал Иову немного серебра и золотое кольцо.

12 Господь благословил последние дни Иова, дав ему гораздо больше, чем в первой половине его жизни. У Иова было четырнадцать тысяч овец, шесть тысяч верблюдов, две тысячи коров и тысяча ослиц.

13 Было у него также семь сыновей и три дочери.

14 Первую дочь Иов назвал Емима, вторую дочь — Кассия, а третью — Керенгаппух.

15 Дочери Иова были самыми красивыми женщинами во всей стране. Они, так же как и их братья, получили часть наследства.

16 И жил Иов ещё сто сорок лет, он увидел своих детей, внуков, правнуков и праправнуков.

17 Иов дожил до глубокой старости. Он умер, прожив достойную жизнь.

Job

Chapter 42

1 THEN Job answered the LORD, and said,

2 I know that thou canst do all these things, and that no purpose can be hid from thee.

3 Who am I to think that I can give counsel without knowledge? Therefore thou hast declared to me that I have uttered that which I did not understand, things too wonderful for me which I did not know.

4 Hear me, I pray thee, and I will speak; I will ask thee, and declare thou to me;

5 I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees thee.

6 Therefore, I will keep silent, and repent in dust and ashes.

7 And it came to pass, after the LORD had spoken these words to Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against you, and against your two friends; for you have not spoken in my presence that which is right, as my servant Job has.

8 Now therefore take for yourselves seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you; for him will I accept, lest I deal contemptuously with you, for you have not spoken in my presence the thing which is right, as my servant Job has done.

9 So Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite went, and did according as the Lord had told them; and the LORD favored Job.

10 And the LORD restored to Job all that he had lost, when he prayed for his friends; also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.

11 Then came there to him all his brothers and all his sisters and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house; for they had been in distress over him, and they comforted him for all the hardships that the LORD had brought upon him; and every man also gave him a ewe, and every one an earring of gold.

12 So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning; for he had fourteen thousand sheep and six thousand camels and a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand she-asses.

13 He also had seven sons and three daughters.

14 And he named the first Jemima; and the name of the second was Kezia; and the name of the third, Karna-puch.

15 And in all the land were found no women as beautiful as the daughters of Job; and their father gave them an inheritance among their brothers.

16 After this Job lived one hundred and forty years, and saw his sons and his son's sons, even four generations.

17 So Job died, being old and contented and full of days.

1 THEN Job answered the LORD, and said,

4 Hear me, I pray thee, and I will speak; I will ask thee, and declare thou to me;

5 Я в прошлом слышал о Тебе, Господь, теперь же видел я Тебя воочию.

5 I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees thee.

6 Мне стыдно за себя, Господь, я очень сожалею! Сижу в пыли и пепле я, но обещаю изменить и жизнь, и сердце».

6 Therefore, I will keep silent, and repent in dust and ashes.

7 Господь, закончив говорить с Иовом, обратился к Елифазу из Феману. Господь сказал Елифазу: «Я рассержен на тебя и твоих двух друзей, потому что ты ничего не сказал правильного обо Мне. Однако Иов — Мой слуга, он сказал обо Мне всё верно.

7 And it came to pass, after the LORD had spoken these words to Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against you, and against your two friends; for you have not spoken in my presence that which is right, as my servant Job has.

8 Так что теперь, Елифаз, возьми семь быков и семь баранов и отнеси их Моему слуге Иову, убей их и воздай как жертву всесожжения за себя. Мой раб Иов будет молиться за вас, и Я отвечу молитве его. Я не накажу вас по заслугам, хотя вы должны быть наказаны, потому что вы ничего правильного обо Мне не сказали, но Мой слуга Иов сказал всё верно».

10 Иов молился за своих друзей, и Бог его снова сделал удачливым и дал ему вдвое больше того, чем владел он прежде.

10 And the LORD restored to Job all that he had lost, when he prayed for his friends; also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.

11 Then came there to him all his brothers and all his sisters and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house; for they had been in distress over him, and they comforted him for all the hardships that the LORD had brought upon him; and every man also gave him a ewe, and every one an earring of gold.

12 Господь благословил последние дни Иова, дав ему гораздо больше, чем в первой половине его жизни. У Иова было четырнадцать тысяч овец, шесть тысяч верблюдов, две тысячи коров и тысяча ослиц.

13 Было у него также семь сыновей и три дочери.

16 И жил Иов ещё сто сорок лет, он увидел своих детей, внуков, правнуков и праправнуков.

16 After this Job lived one hundred and forty years, and saw his sons and his son's sons, even four generations.

17 Иов дожил до глубокой старости. Он умер, прожив достойную жизнь.

17 So Job died, being old and contented and full of days.
