Kapitel 3

1 Und ich sprach559: Höret8085 doch, ihr3045 Häupter7218 im Hause1004 Jakob3290 und ihr Fürsten7101 im Hause Israel3478! Ihr solltet es billig sein, die das Recht4941 wüßten.

2 Aber ihr hasset8130 das Gute2896 und liebet157 das Arge7451; ihr schindet1497 ihnen die Haut5785 ab und das Fleisch7607 von ihren Beinen

3 und fresset398 das Fleisch7607 meines Volks5971; und wenn ihr ihnen die Haut5785 abgezogen habt6584, zerbrecht6476 ihr ihnen auch die Beine und zerleget es wie in8432 einen6106 Topf5518 und wie Fleisch1320 in einen Kessel7037.

4 Darum wenn ihr6030 nun zum HErrn3068 schreien2199 werdet, wird er euch nicht7489 erhören, sondern wird sein Angesicht vor6440 euch verbergen5641 zur selbigen Zeit6256, wie ihr mit eurem bösen Wesen4611 verdienet habt.

5 So spricht der HErr3068 wider die Propheten5030, so mein Volk5971 verführen8582: Sie7121 predigen, es solle wohlgehen, wo man559 ihnen zu fressen8127 gebe5414; wo man ihnen aber nichts ins Maul6310 gibt5391, da predigen sie6942, es müsse ein Krieg4421 kommen.

6 Darum soll euer Gesicht2377 zur Nacht3915 und935 euer Wahrsagen7080 zur Finsternis2821 werden6937. Die Sonne8121 soll über den Propheten5030 untergehen und der Tag3117 über ihnen finster2821 werden.

7 Und430 die Schauer sollen zuschanden und die Wahrsager7080 zu Spott werden954, und müssen ihr Maul alle verhüllen5844, weil da kein Gotteswort4617 sein wird.

8 Ich aber199 bin voll Kraft3581 und4390 Geistes des HErrn3068, voll Rechts4941 und7307 Stärke1369, daß ich Jakob3290 sein Übertreten6588 und Israel3478 seine Sünde2403 anzeigen5046 darf.

9 So höret8085 doch dies, ihr Häupter7218 im Hause1004 Jakob3290 und ihr Fürsten7101 im Hause1004 Israel3478, die ihr das Recht4941 verschmähet und alles, was aufrichtig3477 ist6140, verkehret,

10 die ihr Zion6726 mit Blut1818 bauet1129 und Jerusalem3389 mit Unrecht5766.

11 Ihre Häupter7218 richten8199 um Geschenke7810, ihre Priester lehren3384 um Lohn3701, und3548 ihre Propheten5030 wahrsagen7080 um Geld4242, verlassen sich8172 auf den HErrn3068 und sprechen559: Ist935 nicht7451 der HErr3068 unter7130 uns? Es kann kein Unglück über uns kommen.

12 Darum wird Zion6726 um1558 euretwillen wie ein Feld7704 zerpflüget und1004 Jerusalem3389 zum Steinhaufen5856 und der Berg2022 des Tempels zu einer wilden3293 Höhe1116 werden2790.

Chapter 3

1 THEN the LORD said, Hear these things, O you chiefs of the house of Jacob and you princes of the house of Israel: Is it not meet for you to know justice?

2 O you haters of the good and lovers of evil, who strip the skin from off the people and the flesh from off their bones;

3 Who oppress my people and flay their skin from off them and break their bones and chop them in pieces, as if they were to be put in the pot, like meat in a caldron.

4 Then shall they cry to the LORD, but he will not hear them; he will even turn away his face from them at that time, for they have behaved themselves ill in their doings.

5 Thus says the LORD concerning the prophets who lead my people astray, who bite with their teeth and preach peace; and when one puts not bread into their mouths, they preach war against him.

6 Therefore it shall be night to you, that you shall not have a vision; and it shall be dark to you, that you shall not divine; and the sun shall go down upon the prophets, and the day shall be dark over them.

7 Then the seers shall be ashamed, and the diviners confounded; yea, they shall all cover their lips because God will not answer them.

8 But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the LORD, and of justice and of might, to declare to Jacob his transgression and to Israel his sin.

9 Now hear this, O you chiefs of the house of Jacob and princes of the house of Israel, who abhor justice and pervert all equity;

10 Who build Zion with blood and Jerusalem with iniquity;

11 The chiefs thereof judge for a bribe, and its priests teach for hire, and its prophets divine for money; yet they rely upon the LORD, saying, The LORD is among us, no evil can come upon us;

12 Therefore, because of you, Zion shall be ploughed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become desolate, and the mountain of the house like a forest.
