Galatians

Chapter 1

1 Paul,3972 an apostle,652 (not of men,444 neither3761 by man,444 but by Jesus2424 Christ,5547 and God2316 the Father,3962 who3588 raised1453 him from the dead;3498)

2 And all3956 the brothers80 which are with me, to the churches1577 of Galatia:1053

3 Grace5485 be to you and peace1515 from God2316 the Father,3962 and from our Lord2962 Jesus2424 Christ,5547

4 Who3588 gave1325 himself1438 for our sins,266 that he might deliver1807 us from this3588 present1764 evil4190 world,165 according2596 to the will2307 of God2316 and our Father:3962

5 To whom3739 be glory1391 for ever165 and ever.165 Amen.281

6 I marvel2296 that you are so3779 soon5030 removed3346 from him that called2564 you into1722 the grace5485 of Christ5547 to another2087 gospel:2098

7 Which3739 is not another;243 but there be some5100 that trouble5015 you, and would2309 pervert3344 the gospel2098 of Christ.5547

8 But though1437 we, or2228 an angel32 from heaven,3772 preach2097 any other gospel2097 to you than3844 that which3739 we have preached2097 to you, let him be accursed.331

9 As we said4280 before,4280 so2532 say3004 I now737 again,3825 if1487 any1536 man preach2097 any1536 other gospel2097 to you than3844 that you have received,3880 let him be accursed.331

10 For do I now737 persuade3982 men,444 or2228 God?2316 or2228 do I seek2212 to please700 men?444 for if1487 I yet2089 pleased700 men,444 I should not be the servant1401 of Christ.5547

11 But I certify1107 you, brothers,80 that the gospel2098 which3588 was preached2097 of me is not after2596 man.444

12 For I neither3761 received3880 it of man,444 neither3777 was I taught1321 it, but by the revelation602 of Jesus2424 Christ.5547

13 For you have heard191 of my conversation391 in time4218 past in the Jews'2454 religion,2454 how that beyond2596 5236 measure5236 I persecuted1377 the church1577 of God,2316 and wasted4199 it:

14 And profited4298 in the Jews'2454 religion2454 above5228 many4183 my equals4915 in my3450 own nation,1085 being5225 more4056 exceedingly4056 zealous2207 of the traditions3862 of my fathers.3967

15 But when3753 it pleased2106 God,2316 who3588 separated873 me from my mother's3384 womb,2836 and called2564 me by his grace,5485

16 To reveal601 his Son5207 in me, that I might preach2097 him among1722 the heathen;1484 immediately2112 I conferred4323 not with flesh4561 and blood:129

17 Neither3761 went424 I up to Jerusalem2414 to them which were apostles652 before4253 me; but I went565 into1519 Arabia,688 and returned5290 again3825 to Damascus.1154

18 Then1899 after2596 three5140 years2094 I went424 up to Jerusalem2414 to see2477 Peter,4074 and stayed1961 with him fifteen1178 days.2250

19 But other2087 of the apostles652 saw1492 I none,3756 save1508 James2385 the Lord's2962 brother.80

20 Now2236 the things which3739 I write1125 to you, behold,2400 before1799 God,2316 I lie5574 not.

21 Afterwards1899 I came2064 into1519 the regions2824 of Syria4947 and Cilicia;2791

22 And was unknown50 by face4383 to the churches1577 of Judaea2449 which3588 were in Christ:5547

23 But they had heard191 only,3440 That he which persecuted1377 us in times4218 past now3568 preaches2097 the faith4102 which3739 once4218 he destroyed.4199

24 And they glorified1392 God2316 in me.

Galatians

Chapter 1

1 PAUL, an Apostle, not sent by men, nor appointed by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;

2 And all the brethren who are with me, to the churches of Galatia:

3 Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our LORD Jesus Christ,

4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God our Father:

5 To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

6 I am surprised how soon you have turned to another gospel, away from Christ who has called you by his grace;

7 A gospel which does not exist; howbeit, there are men who have stirred you up, and want to pervert the gospel of Christ.

8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than that which we have preached to you, let him be accursed.

9 As I have said before, so say I now again, If any man preaches any other gospel to you than that you have received, let him be accursed.

10 Do I now persuade men or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I tried to please men, I should not be a servant of Christ.

11 But I want you to know, my brethren, the gospel that I preached was not from men.

12 For I did not receive it nor learn it from man, but through the revelation of Jesus Christ.

13 You have heard of the manner of my life in time past in the Jews' religion, how beyond measure I persecuted the Church of God and tried to destroy it:

14 And how that I was far more advanced in the Jews' religion than many of my age among the people of my race for above all, I was especially zealous for the doctrines of my forefathers.

15 But when it pleased God, who had chosen me from my birth, and called me by his grace,

16 To reveal his Son to me, that I might preach him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately disclose it to any human being:

17 Neither did I go up to Jerusalem to them who had been apostles before me; but instead I went to Arabia and returned again to Damascus.

18 Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Cephas Peter, and stayed with him fifteen days.

19 But I did not see any one of the other apostles, except James the brother of our LORD.

20 Now the things which I write to you, behold, I confess before God, I do not lie.

21 After that I went to the regions of Syria and Cilicia;

22 And I was unknown by face to the churches of Christ in Judµa.

23 For they had heard only this much; that he who had persecuted us before now preached the faith which previously he tried to destroy.

24 And they praised God because of me.
