1 In the ninth8671 year8141 of Zedekiah6667 king4428 of Judah,3063 in the tenth6224 month,2320 came935 Nebuchadrezzar5019 king4428 of Babylon894 and all3605 his army2428 against413 Jerusalem,3389 and they besieged6696 it.

2 And in the eleventh6240 year8141 of Zedekiah,6667 in the fourth7243 month,2320 the ninth8672 day of the month,2320 the city5892 was broken1234 up.

3 And all3605 the princes8269 of the king4428 of Babylon894 came935 in, and sat3427 in the middle8484 gate,8179 even Nergalsharezer,5371 Samgarnebo,5562 Sarsechim,8310 Rabsaris,7249 Nergalsharezer,5371 Rabmag,7248 with all3605 the residue7611 of the princes8269 of the king4428 of Babylon.894

4 And it came1961 to pass, that when834 Zedekiah6667 the king4428 of Judah3063 saw7200 them, and all3605 the men582 of war,4421 then they fled,1272 and went3318 forth3318 out of the city5892 by night,3915 by the way1870 of the king's4428 garden,1588 by the gate8179 between996 the two walls:2346 and he went3318 out the way1870 of the plain.6160

5 But the Chaldeans'3778 army2428 pursued7291 after310 them, and overtook5381 Zedekiah6667 in the plains6160 of Jericho:3405 and when they had taken3947 him, they brought5927 him up to Nebuchadnezzar5019 king4428 of Babylon894 to Riblah7247 in the land776 of Hamath,2574 where he gave1696 judgment4941 on him.

6 Then the king4428 of Babylon894 slew7819 the sons1121 of Zedekiah6667 in Riblah7247 before his eyes:5869 also the king4428 of Babylon894 slew7819 all3605 the nobles2715 of Judah.3063

7 Moreover he put5786 out Zedekiah's6667 eyes,5869 and bound631 him with chains,5178 to carry935 him to Babylon.894

8 And the Chaldeans3778 burned8313 the king's4428 house,1004 and the houses1004 of the people,5971 with fire,784 and broke5422 down5422 the walls2346 of Jerusalem.3389

9 Then Nebuzaradan5018 the captain7227 of the guard2876 carried1540 away captive1540 into Babylon894 the remnant3499 of the people5971 that remained7604 in the city,5892 and those that fell5307 away, that fell5307 to him, with the rest3499 of the people5971 that remained.7604

10 But Nebuzaradan5018 the captain of the guard2876 left7604 of the poor1800 of the people,5971 which834 had nothing,3808 3972 in the land776 of Judah,3063 and gave5414 them vineyards3754 and fields3010 at the same1931 time.3117

11 Now Nebuchadrezzar5019 king4428 of Babylon894 gave charge6680 concerning5921 Jeremiah3414 to Nebuzaradan5018 the captain7227 of the guard,2876 saying,559

12 Take3947 him, and look7760 well to him, and do6213 him no408 harm;7451 but do6213 to him even3651 as he shall say1696 to you.

13 So Nebuzaradan5018 the captain7227 of the guard2876 sent,7971 and Nebushasban,5021 Rabsaris,7249 and Nergalsharezer,5371 Rabmag,7248 and all3605 the king4428 of Babylon's894 princes;7227

14 Even they sent,7971 and took3947 Jeremiah3414 out of the court2691 of the prison,4307 and committed5414 him to Gedaliah1436 the son1121 of Ahikam296 the son1121 of Shaphan,8227 that he should carry3318 him home:1004 so he dwelled3427 among8432 the people.5971

15 Now the word1697 of the LORD3068 came1961 to Jeremiah,3414 while he was shut6113 up in the court2691 of the prison,4307 saying,559

16 Go1980 and speak559 to Ebedmelech5663 the Ethiopian,3569 saying,559 Thus3541 said559 the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 the God430 of Israel;3478 Behold,2005 I will bring935 my words1697 on this2063 city5892 for evil,7451 and not for good;2896 and they shall be accomplished in that day3117 before6440 you.

17 But I will deliver5337 you in that day,3117 said5002 the LORD:3068 and you shall not be given5414 into the hand3027 of the men582 of whom834 6440 you are afraid.3025

18 For I will surely deliver4422 you, and you shall not fall5307 by the sword,2719 but your life5315 shall be for a prey7998 to you: because3588 you have put your trust982 in me, said5002 the LORD.3068

1 Когда взят был Иерусалим, (в девятый год Седекии, царя иудейского, в десятый месяц, подступил царь вавилонский Невухаднецар со всем войском своим к Иерусалиму, и обложили его,

2 А в одиннадцатый год Седекии, в четвертый месяц, в девятый день месяца ворвались в город),

3 И вошли все князья царя вавилонского, и заняли места у средних ворот, Нергал-Шарецер, Самгар-Нево, Сарсехим, начальник евнухов, Нергал-Шарецер, начальник магов, и все прочие князья царя вавилонского;

4 Тогда Седекия, царь иудейский, и все люди военные, увидев их, побежали; и ночью вышли из города, чрез сад царский, воротами, находившимися между двумя стенами, и пошли дорогою пустынною.

5 Но войско халдейское погналось за ними; и настигли Седекию на равнинах иерихонских; и взяли его, и отвели к Невухаднецару, царю вавилонскому, в Ривлу, в землю Эмаф, и он произнес суд над ним.

6 И заколол царь вавилонский сыновей Седекии в Ривле перед его глазами, и всех вельмож иудейских заколол царь вавилонский;

7 А Седекии выколол глаза, и велел оковать его медными оковами, чтоб отвести его в Вавилон.

8 Дом царев и домы народа сожгли халдеи огнем, и стены Иерусалима разрушили.

9 Прочий же народ, оставшийся в городе, как переметчиков, которые передались ему, так и прочий оставшийся народ Невузарадан, начальник телохранителей, в Вавилон переселил.

10 А последних людей из народа, у которых не было ничего, оставил Невузарадан, начальник телохранителей, в иудейской земле, и дал им в тот день виноградники и пашни.

11 Касательно же Иеремии Невухаднецар, царь вавилонский, дал такое повеление Невузарадану, начальнику телохранителей:

12 Возьми его, и смотри на него милостивыми глазами, и не делай ему ничего худого, но как скажет тебе, так и поступи с ним.

13 И послал Невузарадан, начальник телохранителей, и Невушазбан, начальник евнухов, и Нергал-Шарецер, начальник магов, и все вельможи царя вавилонского

14 Послали, и взяли Иеремию с двора стражи, и отдали его Гедалии, сыну Ахикама, сына Шафанова, проводить его домой; и он остался жить среди народа.

15 К Иеремии, когда он еще содержался во дворе стражи, было слово Иеговы, и сказано:

16 Поди, скажи Евед-Мелеху ефиоплянину: так говорит Иегова воинств, Бог Израилев: вот Я выполняю сказанное Мною о городе сем во зло, а не к добру; и это ныне произойдет перед лицем твоим;

17 Но тебя в сей день сберегу, говорит Иегова, и не будешь предан в руку людей, которых ты боишься.

18 Ибо Я непременно спасу тебя, и не падешь от меча, и душа твоя останется у тебя вместо добычи, потому что ты на Меня возложил надежду, говорит Иегова.

1 Когда взят был Иерусалим, (в девятый год Седекии, царя иудейского, в десятый месяц, подступил царь вавилонский Невухаднецар со всем войском своим к Иерусалиму, и обложили его,

2 А в одиннадцатый год Седекии, в четвертый месяц, в девятый день месяца ворвались в город),

3 And all3605 the princes8269 of the king4428 of Babylon894 came935 in, and sat3427 in the middle8484 gate,8179 even Nergalsharezer,5371 Samgarnebo,5562 Sarsechim,8310 Rabsaris,7249 Nergalsharezer,5371 Rabmag,7248 with all3605 the residue7611 of the princes8269 of the king4428 of Babylon.894

3 И вошли все князья царя вавилонского, и заняли места у средних ворот, Нергал-Шарецер, Самгар-Нево, Сарсехим, начальник евнухов, Нергал-Шарецер, начальник магов, и все прочие князья царя вавилонского;

6 И заколол царь вавилонский сыновей Седекии в Ривле перед его глазами, и всех вельмож иудейских заколол царь вавилонский;

11 Касательно же Иеремии Невухаднецар, царь вавилонский, дал такое повеление Невузарадану, начальнику телохранителей:
