1 And the LORD3068 spoke1696 to Moses,4872 saying,559

2 Speak1696 to the children1121 of Israel,3478 that they turn7725 and encamp2583 before6440 Pihahiroth,6367 between996 Migdol4024 and the sea,3220 over6440 against6440 Baalzephon:1189 before5226 it shall you encamp2583 by the sea.3220

3 For Pharaoh6547 will say559 of the children1121 of Israel,3478 They are entangled943 in the land,776 the wilderness4057 has shut5462 them in.

4 And I will harden2388 Pharaoh's6547 heart,3820 that he shall follow7291 after310 them; and I will be honored3513 on Pharaoh,6547 and on all his host;2428 that the Egyptians4714 may know3045 that I am the LORD.3068 And they did6213 so.3651

5 And it was told5046 the king4428 of Egypt4714 that the people5971 fled:1272 and the heart3824 of Pharaoh6547 and of his servants5650 was turned2015 against413 the people,5971 and they said,559 Why4100 have we done6213 this,2063 that we have let Israel3478 go7971 from serving5647 us?

6 And he made ready631 his chariot,7393 and took3947 his people5971 with him:

7 And he took3947 six8337 hundred3967 chosen970 chariots,7393 and all3605 the chariots7393 of Egypt,4714 and captains7991 over5921 every3605 one of them.

8 And the LORD3068 hardened2388 the heart3820 of Pharaoh6547 king4428 of Egypt,4714 and he pursued7291 after310 the children1121 of Israel:3478 and the children1121 of Israel3478 went3318 out with an high7311 hand.3027

9 But the Egyptians4714 pursued7291 after310 them, all3605 the horses5483 and chariots7393 of Pharaoh,6547 and his horsemen,6571 and his army,2428 and overtook5381 them encamping2583 by the sea,3220 beside5921 Pihahiroth,6367 before6440 Baalzephon.1189

10 And when Pharaoh6547 drew near,7126 the children1121 of Israel3478 lifted5375 up their eyes,5869 and, behold,2009 the Egyptians4714 marched5265 after310 them; and they were sore3966 afraid:3372 and the children1121 of Israel3478 cried6817 out to the LORD.3068

11 And they said559 to Moses,4872 Because1115 there were no369 graves6913 in Egypt,4714 have you taken3947 us away to die4191 in the wilderness?4057 why4100 2063 have you dealt6213 thus2063 with us, to carry3318 us forth3318 out of Egypt?4714

12 Is not this2088 the word1697 that we did tell1696 you in Egypt,4714 saying,559 Let us alone,2308 that we may serve5647 the Egyptians?4714 For it had been better2896 for us to serve5647 the Egyptians,4714 than that we should die4191 in the wilderness.4057

13 And Moses4872 said559 to the people,5971 Fear3372 you not, stand3320 still, and see7200 the salvation3444 of the LORD,3068 which834 he will show6213 to you to day:3117 for the Egyptians4714 whom834 you have seen7200 to day,3117 you shall see7200 them again3254 no3808 more5750 for ever.5769

14 The LORD3068 shall fight3898 for you, and you shall hold2790 your peace.2790

15 And the LORD3068 said559 to Moses,4872 Why4100 cry6817 you to me? speak1696 to the children1121 of Israel,3478 that they go5265 forward:5265

16 But lift7311 you up your rod,4294 and stretch5186 out your hand3027 over5921 the sea,3220 and divide1234 it: and the children1121 of Israel3478 shall go935 on dry3004 ground through8432 the middle8432 of the sea.3220

17 And I, behold,2005 I will harden2388 the hearts3820 of the Egyptians,4714 and they shall follow310 them: and I will get3513 me honor3513 on Pharaoh,6547 and on all3605 his host,2428 on his chariots,7393 and on his horsemen.6571

18 And the Egyptians4714 shall know3045 that I am the LORD,3068 when I have gotten7408 me honor3513 on Pharaoh,6547 on his chariots,7393 and on his horsemen.6571

19 And the angel4397 of God,430 which went1980 before6440 the camp4264 of Israel,3478 removed5265 and went3212 behind310 them; and the pillar5982 of the cloud6051 went5265 from before6440 their face, and stood5975 behind310 them:

20 And it came935 between996 the camp4264 of the Egyptians4714 and the camp4264 of Israel;3478 and it was a cloud6051 and darkness2822 to them, but it gave light216 by night3915 to these: so that the one2088 came7126 not near7126 the other2088 all3605 the night.3915

21 And Moses4872 stretched5186 out his hand3027 over5921 the sea;3220 and the LORD3068 caused the sea3220 to go3212 back by a strong5794 east6921 wind7307 all3605 that night,3915 and made7760 the sea3220 dry2724 land, and the waters4325 were divided.1234

22 And the children1121 of Israel3478 went935 into the middle8432 of the sea3220 on the dry3004 ground: and the waters4325 were a wall2346 to them on their right3225 hand,3225 and on their left.8040

23 And the Egyptians4714 pursued,7291 and went935 in after310 them to the middle8432 of the sea,3220 even all3605 Pharaoh's6547 horses,5483 his chariots,7393 and his horsemen.6571

24 And it came1961 to pass, that in the morning1242 watch821 the LORD3068 looked8259 to the host4264 of the Egyptians4714 through the pillar5982 of fire784 and of the cloud,6051 and troubled2000 the host4264 of the Egyptians,4714

25 And took5493 off their chariot4818 wheels,212 that they drove5090 them heavily:3517 so that the Egyptians4714 said,559 Let us flee5127 from the face6440 of Israel;3478 for the LORD3068 fights3898 for them against the Egyptians.4714

26 And the LORD3068 said559 to Moses,4872 Stretch5186 out your hand3027 over5921 the sea,3220 that the waters4325 may come7725 again7725 on the Egyptians,4714 on their chariots,7393 and on their horsemen.6571

27 And Moses4872 stretched5186 forth his hand3027 over5921 the sea,3220 and the sea3220 returned7725 to his strength386 when the morning1242 appeared;6437 and the Egyptians4714 fled5127 against7125 it; and the LORD3068 overthrew5287 the Egyptians4714 in the middle8432 of the sea.3220

28 And the waters4325 returned,7725 and covered3680 the chariots,7393 and the horsemen,6571 and all3605 the host2428 of Pharaoh6547 that came935 into the sea3220 after310 them; there remained7604 not so5704 much5704 as one259 of them.

29 But the children1121 of Israel3478 walked1980 on dry3004 land in the middle8432 of the sea;3220 and the waters4325 were a wall2346 to them on their right3225 hand,3225 and on their left.8040

30 Thus the LORD3068 saved3467 Israel3478 that day3117 out of the hand3027 of the Egyptians;4714 and Israel3478 saw7200 the Egyptians4714 dead4191 on the sea3220 shore.8193

31 And Israel3478 saw7200 that great1419 work3027 which834 the LORD3068 did6213 on the Egyptians:4714 and the people5971 feared3372 the LORD,3068 and believed539 the LORD,3068 and his servant5650 Moses.4872

3 І скаже фараон про Ізраїлевих синів: заблудились вони в землі цій, за́мкнено пустиню для них.

4 І вчиню запеклим фараонове серце, і він буде гнатися за вами, а Я прославлюся через фараона та через військо його. І пізнають єги́птяни, що Я — Господь!“ І вони вчинили так.

5 І повідомлено царя єгипетського, що втік той наро́д. І змінилося серце фараона та рабів його до того народу, і сказали вони: Що́ це ми зробили, що відпустили Ізраїля від роботи нам?“

6 І запріг він свою колесни́цю, і забрав наро́д свій з собою.

7 І взяв він шість сотень добі́рних колесни́ць, і всі колесни́ці Єгипту, і трійкових над усіма́ ними.

8 І Господь учинив запеклим серце фараона, єгипетського царя, — і він погнався за Ізраїлевими синами. Але Ізраїлеві сини виходили сильною рукою!

9 І гналися єги́птяни за ними, уся кіннота, колесни́ці фараонові, і комо́нники його та військо його, — і догнали їх, як вони ота́борилися були над морем, під Пі-Гахіротом, перед Баал-Цефоном.

10 А фараон наближа́вся. І звели Ізраїлеві сини свої очі, аж ось єги́птяни жену́ться за ними! І дуже злякались вони... І кликали Ізраїлеві сини до Господа,

11 а Мойсеєві дорікали: „Чи через те, що не було гробів в Єгипті, ти забрав нас умирати в пустині? Що́ це вчинив ти нам, щоб вивести нас із Єгипту?

12 Чи це не те саме ми говорили до тебе в Єгипті, кажучи: Позостав нас, і нехай ми робимо Єгиптові! Бо ліпше нам ра́бство Єгиптові, аніж помирати нам у пустині!“

13 І сказав Мойсей до народу: „Не бійтеся! Стійте, і побачите спасі́ння Господа, що вчинить вам сьогодні. Бо єги́птян, яких бачите сьогодні, більше не побачите їх уже повіки!

14 Господь буде воювати за вас, а ви мовчіть!“

15 І промовив Господь до Мойсея: „Що́ ти до Мене кли́чеш? Говори до синів Ізраїлевих, нехай руша́ють!

16 А ти підійми свою палицю, і простягни руку свою на море, і розітни його, — і нехай уві́йдуть Ізраїлеві сини в сере́дину моря, на суходіл.

17 А Я, — ось Я вчиню запеклим серце єги́птянам, і вони вві́йдуть за ними. І буду Я просла́влений через фараона, і через усе його військо, і через колесниці, його, і через комо́нників його.

18 I пізнають єги́птяни, що Я — Господь, коли буду Я прославлений через фараона, і через колесниці його, і через комо́нників його!“

19 І рушив Ангол Божий, що йшов перед Ізраїльським табо́ром, і пішов за ними; і рушив стовп хмари перед ними, і став за ними,

20 і ввійшов він у сере́дину між та́бір Єгипту й між та́бір Ізраїлів. І була та хмара й темрява для Єгипту, а ніч розсвітлив він для Ізраїля. І не зближався один до о́дного цілу ніч.

21 І простяг Мойсей руку свою на море, — і Господь гнав море сильним схі́днім вітром ці́лу ніч, і зробив море суходолом, — і розступилася вода.

22 І ввійшли Ізраїлеві сини в сере́дину моря, як на суходіл, а море було для них муром із прави́ці їхньої та з ліви́ці їхньої.

23 А єги́птяни гналися, і ввійшли за ними всі фараонові коні й колесни́ці його, та його комо́нники до сере́дини моря.

24 І сталося за ранньої сторожі, і поглянув Господь на єгипетський та́бір у стовпі огня й хмари, та й привів у замі́шання єгипетський та́бір.

25 І поскида́в колеса з колесни́ць його, і вчинив, що йому було́ тяжко ходити. І єги́птяни сказали: „Утікаймо від ізраїльтя́н, бо Господь воює за них з Єгиптом!“

26 І промовив Госпо́дь до Мойсея: „Простягни свою руку на море, і нехай ве́рнеться вода на єги́птян, на їхні колесни́ці й на комо́нників їхніх“.

27 І простяг Мойсей руку свою на море, — і море вернулося, коли настав ранок, до сили своєї, а єги́птяни втікали навпроти нього. І кинув Господь єги́птян у сере́дину моря!

28 І вернулась вода, і позакривала колесни́ці та комо́нників усьому фараоновому військові, що ввійшло за ними в море. Ані жоден із них не зостався!

29 А Ізраїлеві сини йшли суходо́лом у сере́дині моря, а море було для них муром із правиці їхньої та з лівиці їхньої.

30 І визволив Господь того дня Ізраїля з єгипетської руки. І бачив Ізра́їль мертвих єги́птян на березі моря.

31 І побачив Ізра́їль сильну руку, яку ви́явив Господь у Єгипті, — і став боятися той народ Господа! І ввірував він у Господа, та в Мойсея, раба Його.

4 І вчиню запеклим фараонове серце, і він буде гнатися за вами, а Я прославлюся через фараона та через військо його. І пізнають єги́птяни, що Я — Господь!“ І вони вчинили так.

5 And it was told5046 the king4428 of Egypt4714 that the people5971 fled:1272 and the heart3824 of Pharaoh6547 and of his servants5650 was turned2015 against413 the people,5971 and they said,559 Why4100 have we done6213 this,2063 that we have let Israel3478 go7971 from serving5647 us?

5 І повідомлено царя єгипетського, що втік той наро́д. І змінилося серце фараона та рабів його до того народу, і сказали вони: Що́ це ми зробили, що відпустили Ізраїля від роботи нам?“

6 And he made ready631 his chariot,7393 and took3947 his people5971 with him:

6 І запріг він свою колесни́цю, і забрав наро́д свій з собою.

8 І Господь учинив запеклим серце фараона, єгипетського царя, — і він погнався за Ізраїлевими синами. Але Ізраїлеві сини виходили сильною рукою!

9 But the Egyptians4714 pursued7291 after310 them, all3605 the horses5483 and chariots7393 of Pharaoh,6547 and his horsemen,6571 and his army,2428 and overtook5381 them encamping2583 by the sea,3220 beside5921 Pihahiroth,6367 before6440 Baalzephon.1189

9 І гналися єги́птяни за ними, уся кіннота, колесни́ці фараонові, і комо́нники його та військо його, — і догнали їх, як вони ота́борилися були над морем, під Пі-Гахіротом, перед Баал-Цефоном.

10 And when Pharaoh6547 drew near,7126 the children1121 of Israel3478 lifted5375 up their eyes,5869 and, behold,2009 the Egyptians4714 marched5265 after310 them; and they were sore3966 afraid:3372 and the children1121 of Israel3478 cried6817 out to the LORD.3068

10 А фараон наближа́вся. І звели Ізраїлеві сини свої очі, аж ось єги́птяни жену́ться за ними! І дуже злякались вони... І кликали Ізраїлеві сини до Господа,

13 І сказав Мойсей до народу: „Не бійтеся! Стійте, і побачите спасі́ння Господа, що вчинить вам сьогодні. Бо єги́птян, яких бачите сьогодні, більше не побачите їх уже повіки!

14 Господь буде воювати за вас, а ви мовчіть!“

15 And the LORD3068 said559 to Moses,4872 Why4100 cry6817 you to me? speak1696 to the children1121 of Israel,3478 that they go5265 forward:5265

15 І промовив Господь до Мойсея: „Що́ ти до Мене кли́чеш? Говори до синів Ізраїлевих, нехай руша́ють!

16 But lift7311 you up your rod,4294 and stretch5186 out your hand3027 over5921 the sea,3220 and divide1234 it: and the children1121 of Israel3478 shall go935 on dry3004 ground through8432 the middle8432 of the sea.3220

16 А ти підійми свою палицю, і простягни руку свою на море, і розітни його, — і нехай уві́йдуть Ізраїлеві сини в сере́дину моря, на суходіл.

17 And I, behold,2005 I will harden2388 the hearts3820 of the Egyptians,4714 and they shall follow310 them: and I will get3513 me honor3513 on Pharaoh,6547 and on all3605 his host,2428 on his chariots,7393 and on his horsemen.6571

17 А Я, — ось Я вчиню запеклим серце єги́птянам, і вони вві́йдуть за ними. І буду Я просла́влений через фараона, і через усе його військо, і через колесниці, його, і через комо́нників його.

18 And the Egyptians4714 shall know3045 that I am the LORD,3068 when I have gotten7408 me honor3513 on Pharaoh,6547 on his chariots,7393 and on his horsemen.6571

18 I пізнають єги́птяни, що Я — Господь, коли буду Я прославлений через фараона, і через колесниці його, і через комо́нників його!“

20 і ввійшов він у сере́дину між та́бір Єгипту й між та́бір Ізраїлів. І була та хмара й темрява для Єгипту, а ніч розсвітлив він для Ізраїля. І не зближався один до о́дного цілу ніч.

21 And Moses4872 stretched5186 out his hand3027 over5921 the sea;3220 and the LORD3068 caused the sea3220 to go3212 back by a strong5794 east6921 wind7307 all3605 that night,3915 and made7760 the sea3220 dry2724 land, and the waters4325 were divided.1234

21 І простяг Мойсей руку свою на море, — і Господь гнав море сильним схі́днім вітром ці́лу ніч, і зробив море суходолом, — і розступилася вода.

22 And the children1121 of Israel3478 went935 into the middle8432 of the sea3220 on the dry3004 ground: and the waters4325 were a wall2346 to them on their right3225 hand,3225 and on their left.8040

22 І ввійшли Ізраїлеві сини в сере́дину моря, як на суходіл, а море було для них муром із прави́ці їхньої та з ліви́ці їхньої.

23 And the Egyptians4714 pursued,7291 and went935 in after310 them to the middle8432 of the sea,3220 even all3605 Pharaoh's6547 horses,5483 his chariots,7393 and his horsemen.6571

23 А єги́птяни гналися, і ввійшли за ними всі фараонові коні й колесни́ці його, та його комо́нники до сере́дини моря.

24 And it came1961 to pass, that in the morning1242 watch821 the LORD3068 looked8259 to the host4264 of the Egyptians4714 through the pillar5982 of fire784 and of the cloud,6051 and troubled2000 the host4264 of the Egyptians,4714

24 І сталося за ранньої сторожі, і поглянув Господь на єгипетський та́бір у стовпі огня й хмари, та й привів у замі́шання єгипетський та́бір.

25 And took5493 off their chariot4818 wheels,212 that they drove5090 them heavily:3517 so that the Egyptians4714 said,559 Let us flee5127 from the face6440 of Israel;3478 for the LORD3068 fights3898 for them against the Egyptians.4714

25 І поскида́в колеса з колесни́ць його, і вчинив, що йому було́ тяжко ходити. І єги́птяни сказали: „Утікаймо від ізраїльтя́н, бо Господь воює за них з Єгиптом!“

26 And the LORD3068 said559 to Moses,4872 Stretch5186 out your hand3027 over5921 the sea,3220 that the waters4325 may come7725 again7725 on the Egyptians,4714 on their chariots,7393 and on their horsemen.6571

26 І промовив Госпо́дь до Мойсея: „Простягни свою руку на море, і нехай ве́рнеться вода на єги́птян, на їхні колесни́ці й на комо́нників їхніх“.

27 And Moses4872 stretched5186 forth his hand3027 over5921 the sea,3220 and the sea3220 returned7725 to his strength386 when the morning1242 appeared;6437 and the Egyptians4714 fled5127 against7125 it; and the LORD3068 overthrew5287 the Egyptians4714 in the middle8432 of the sea.3220

27 І простяг Мойсей руку свою на море, — і море вернулося, коли настав ранок, до сили своєї, а єги́птяни втікали навпроти нього. І кинув Господь єги́птян у сере́дину моря!

28 And the waters4325 returned,7725 and covered3680 the chariots,7393 and the horsemen,6571 and all3605 the host2428 of Pharaoh6547 that came935 into the sea3220 after310 them; there remained7604 not so5704 much5704 as one259 of them.

28 І вернулась вода, і позакривала колесни́ці та комо́нників усьому фараоновому військові, що ввійшло за ними в море. Ані жоден із них не зостався!

29 But the children1121 of Israel3478 walked1980 on dry3004 land in the middle8432 of the sea;3220 and the waters4325 were a wall2346 to them on their right3225 hand,3225 and on their left.8040

29 А Ізраїлеві сини йшли суходо́лом у сере́дині моря, а море було для них муром із правиці їхньої та з лівиці їхньої.

30 Thus the LORD3068 saved3467 Israel3478 that day3117 out of the hand3027 of the Egyptians;4714 and Israel3478 saw7200 the Egyptians4714 dead4191 on the sea3220 shore.8193

30 І визволив Господь того дня Ізраїля з єгипетської руки. І бачив Ізра́їль мертвих єги́птян на березі моря.

31 And Israel3478 saw7200 that great1419 work3027 which834 the LORD3068 did6213 on the Egyptians:4714 and the people5971 feared3372 the LORD,3068 and believed539 the LORD,3068 and his servant5650 Moses.4872
