Chapter 19

1 And there came935 two8147 angels4397 to Sodom5467 at even;6153 and Lot3876 sat3427 in the gate8179 of Sodom:5467 and Lot3876 seeing7200 them rose6965 up to meet7125 them; and he bowed7812 himself with his face639 toward the ground;776

2 And he said,559 Behold2009 now,4994 my lords,113 turn5493 in, I pray4994 you, into413 your servant's5650 house,1004 and tarry3885 all3885 night, and wash7364 your feet,7272 and you shall rise7925 up early,7925 and go1980 on your ways.1870 And they said,559 No;3808 but we will abide3885 in the street7339 all3885 night.

3 And he pressed6484 on them greatly;3966 and they turned5493 in to him, and entered935 into413 his house;1004 and he made6213 them a feast,4960 and did bake644 unleavened4682 bread, and they did eat.398

4 But before2962 they lay7901 down, the men582 of the city,5892 even the men582 of Sodom,5467 compassed5437 the house1004 round,5921 both old2205 and young,5288 all3605 the people5971 from every quarter:7098

5 And they called7121 to Lot,3876 and said559 to him, Where346 are the men582 which834 came935 in to you this night?3915 bring3318 them out to us, that we may know3045 them.

6 And Lot3876 went3318 out at the door6607 to them, and shut5462 the door1817 after310 him,

7 And said,559 I pray4994 you, brothers,251 do not so wickedly.7489

8 Behold2009 now,4994 I have two8147 daughters1323 which834 have not known3045 man;376 let me, I pray4994 you, bring3318 them out to you, and do6213 you to them as is good2896 in your eyes:5869 only7535 to these428 men582 do6213 nothing;3808 1697 for therefore5921 3651 came935 they under the shadow6738 of my roof.6982

9 And they said,559 Stand5066 back.1973 And they said559 again, This one259 fellow came935 in to sojourn,1481 and he will needs8199 be a judge:8199 now6258 will we deal worse7489 with you, than with them. And they pressed6484 sore3966 on the man,376 even Lot,3876 and came5066 near5066 to break7665 the door.1817

10 But the men582 put7971 forth7971 their hand,3027 and pulled935 Lot3876 into the house1004 to them, and shut5462 to the door.1817

11 And they smote5221 the men582 that were at the door6607 of the house1004 with blindness,5575 both small6996 and great:1419 so that they wearied3811 themselves to find4672 the door.6607

12 And the men582 said559 to Lot,3876 Have you here6311 any4310 besides?5750 son1121 in law,2859 and your sons,1121 and your daughters,1323 and whatever3605 834 you have in the city,5892 bring3318 them out of this place:4725

13 For we will destroy7843 this2088 place,4725 because3588 the cry6818 of them is waxen great1431 before854 the face6440 of the LORD;3068 and the LORD3068 has sent7971 us to destroy7843 it.

14 And Lot3876 went3318 out, and spoke1696 to his sons2860 in law,2859 which married3947 his daughters,1323 and said,559 Up, get3318 you out of this2088 place;4725 for the LORD3068 will destroy7843 this city.5892 But he seemed1961 5869 as one that mocked6711 to his sons2860 in law.2859

15 And when3644 the morning7837 arose,5927 then the angels4397 hastened213 Lot,3876 saying,559 Arise,6965 take3947 your wife,802 and your two8147 daughters,1323 which are here;4672 lest6435 you be consumed5595 in the iniquity5771 of the city.5892

16 And while he lingered,4102 the men582 laid hold2388 on his hand,3027 and on the hand3027 of his wife,802 and on the hand3027 of his two8147 daughters;1323 the LORD3068 being merciful2551 to him: and they brought3318 him forth,3318 and set3240 him without2351 the city.5892

17 And it came1961 to pass, when they had brought3318 them forth3318 abroad,2351 that he said,559 Escape4422 for your life;5315 look5027 not behind310 you, neither408 stay5975 you in all3605 the plain;3603 escape4422 to the mountain,2022 lest6435 you be consumed.5595

18 And Lot3876 said559 to them, Oh,4994 not so, my LORD:113

19 Behold2009 now,4994 your servant5650 has found4672 grace2580 in your sight,5869 and you have magnified1431 your mercy,2617 which834 you have showed6213 to me in saving2421 my life;5315 and I cannot3808 3201 escape4422 to the mountain,2022 lest6435 some evil7451 take1692 me, and I die:4191

20 Behold2009 now,4994 this2063 city5892 is near7138 to flee5127 to, and it is a little4705 one: Oh,4994 let me escape4422 thither,8033 (is it not a little4705 one?) and my soul5315 shall live.2421

21 And he said559 to him, See,2009 I have accepted5375 you concerning this2088 thing1697 also,1571 that I will not overthrow2015 this city,5892 for the which834 you have spoken.1696

22 Haste4116 you, escape4422 thither;8033 for I cannot3808 3201 do6213 anything1697 till5704 you be come935 thither.8033 Therefore5921 3651 the name8034 of the city5892 was called7121 Zoar.6820

23 The sun8121 was risen3318 on the earth776 when Lot3876 entered935 into Zoar.6820

24 Then the LORD3068 rained4305 on Sodom5467 and on Gomorrah6017 brimstone1614 and fire784 from the LORD3068 out of heaven;8064

25 And he overthrew2015 those411 cities,5892 and all3605 the plain,3603 and all3605 the inhabitants3427 of the cities,5892 and that which grew6780 on the ground.127

26 But his wife802 looked5027 back from behind310 him, and she became1961 a pillar5333 of salt.4417

27 And Abraham85 got up early7925 in the morning1242 to the place4725 where834 he stood5975 before854 6440 the LORD:3068

28 And he looked8259 toward5921 6440 Sodom5467 and Gomorrah,6017 and toward5921 6440 all3605 the land776 of the plain,3603 and beheld,7200 and, see,2009 the smoke7008 of the country776 went5927 up as the smoke7008 of a furnace.3536

29 And it came1961 to pass, when God430 destroyed7843 the cities5892 of the plain,3603 that God430 remembered2142 Abraham,85 and sent7971 Lot3876 out of the middle8432 of the overthrow,2018 when he overthrew2015 the cities5892 in the which834 2004 Lot3876 dwelled.3427

30 And Lot3876 went5927 up out of Zoar,6820 and dwelled3427 in the mountain,2022 and his two8147 daughters1323 with him; for he feared3372 to dwell3427 in Zoar:6820 and he dwelled3427 in a cave,4631 he and his two8147 daughters.1323

31 And the firstborn1067 said559 to the younger,6810 Our father1 is old,2204 and there is not a man376 in the earth776 to come935 in to us after the manner1870 of all3605 the earth:776

32 Come,3212 let us make our father1 drink8248 wine,3196 and we will lie7901 with him, that we may preserve2421 seed2233 of our father.1

33 And they made their father1 drink8248 wine3196 that night:3915 and the firstborn1067 went935 in, and lay7901 with her father;1 and he perceived3045 not when she lay7901 down, nor when she arose.6965

34 And it came1961 to pass on the morrow,4283 that the firstborn1067 said559 to the younger,6810 Behold,2005 I lay7901 last night570 with my father:1 let us make him drink8248 wine3196 this night3915 also;1571 and go935 you in, and lie7901 with him, that we may preserve2421 seed2233 of our father.1

35 And they made their father1 drink8248 wine3196 that night3915 also:1571 and the younger6810 arose,6965 and lay7901 with him; and he perceived3045 not when she lay7901 down, nor when she arose.6965

36 Thus were both8147 the daughters1323 of Lot3876 with child2029 by their father.1

37 And the first born1067 bore3205 a son,1121 and called7121 his name8034 Moab:4124 the same1931 is the father1 of the Moabites4124 to this day.3117

38 And the younger,6810 she also bore3205 a son,1121 and called7121 his name8034 Benammi:1151 the same1931 is the father1 of the children1121 of Ammon5983 to this day.3117

2 И сказал: государи мои! пожалуйте, зайдите теперь в дом раба вашего, и ночуйте, и умойте ноги ваши, и встав поутру, пойдете в путь свой. Но они сказали: нет, мы ночуем на улице.

3 Он же сильно упрашивал их; и они зашли к нему, и пришли в дом его. Он сделал им угощение, и испек пресные хлебы; и они ели.

4 Еще не легли они спать, как городские жители, Содомляне, от молодого до старого, весь народ со всех концов города, окружили дом,

5 И кричали Лоту, и говорили ему: где люди, пришедшие к тебе в эту ночь? выведи их к нам, мы познаем их.

6 Лот вышел к ним за дверь, и запер за собою дверь,

7 И сказал: пожалуйте, братия, не делайте зла!

8 Вот, у меня две дочери, которые не знают мужа; выведу лучше я их к вам, делайте с ними, что вам угодно; только не делайте сего с людьми сими, ибо они для того и пришли под кров дома моего.

9 Но они сказали: подойди сюда! И сказали: неужели один пришлец, пришедший сюда, может судить нас? За это мы хуже сделаем с тобою, нежели с ними. И сильно наступали на сего человека, на Лота, и подошли, чтобы выломать дверь.

10 Тогда гости простерли руки свои, и взяли Лота к себе в дом, и дверь заперли;

11 А людей, бывших за дверьми дома, от малого до большого, поразили слепотою, так что они измучились, искав двери,

12 Наконец гости сказали Лоту: кто у тебя есть еще здесь? Зять ли, сыновья ли твои, дочери ли твои, и кто бы ни был у тебя в сем городе, всех выведи из сего места.

13 Ибо мы истребим сие место; потому что велик отсюда вопль к Иегове, и Иегова послал нас истребить его.

14 Итак, Лот пошел, и говорил с зятьями своими, которые брали за себя дочерей его, и сказал: встаньте, выдьте из сего места; ибо Иегова истребит сей город: но зятьям его показалось, что он шутит.

15 Когда взошла заря, Ангелы начали торопить Лота, говоря: встань, возьми жену свою, и двух дочерей своих, находящихся здесь, чтобы не погибнуть и тебе за беззакония сего города.

16 Но как он медлил, то они, по милости к нему Иеговы, взяли за руки его, и жену его, и двух дочерей его, и выведши, поставили его вне города.

17 Когда же вывели их вон из города, то один из них сказал: спасай жизнь твою; не оглядывайся назад; и нигде не останавливайся на равнине сей; спасайся на гору, чтобы тебе не погибнуть.

18 Но Лот сказал им: нет, Господи!

19 Вот, раб Твой обрел благодать пред очами Твоими, и велика милость Твоя, которую Ты сделал со мною, что спас жизнь мою; но я не могу спастись на гору; чтоб не застигла меня беда сия, и чтобы мне не умереть.

20 Вот, ближе бежать в сей город, он же и мал; позвольте мне спасаться в него, не правда ли, что он мал? и сохранится жизнь моя.

21 И сказал ему: вот, Я в угодность тебе и сие сделаю; не истреблю города, о котором ты говоришь.

22 Поспешай, спасайся в него; ибо Я не могу сделать Своего дела, пока ты не придешь туда. Потому и дано имя городу сему: Сигор.

23 Солнце взошло над землею, и Лот пришел в Сигор.

24 Тогда Иегова на Содом и Гоморр дождем пролил серу и огонь от Иеговы с небес.

25 И истребил города сии, и всю равнину сию, и всех жителей городов сих, и произрастения земли.

26 Жена же Лотова оглянулась назад, и обратилась в соляной столп.

27 Между тем Авраам утром пошел на то место, где стоял пред лицем Иеговы.

28 И посмотрел он к Содому и Гоморру, и на все пространство равнины и увидел, и се, восходит дым с земли, как дым из печи.

29 Таким образом, Бог, истребляя города равнины сей, вспомнил о Аврааме, и вывел Лота из среды истребления, когда истреблял города, в которых жил Лот.

30 Потом Лот вышел из Сигора, и стал жить в горе, и с ним две дочери его: ибо он боялся жить в Сигоре. И так он жил в пещере, и с ним две дочери его.

31 И сказала старшая младшей: отец наш стар; и нет человека на земле, который бы вошел к нам по обычаю всей земли.

32 Итак, напоим отца нашего вином, и переспим с ним, и восставим от отца нашего племя.

33 И в ту ночь напоили отца своего вином; и пошла старшая, и спала с отцем своим: а он не знал, как она легла и как встала.

34 На другой день старшая сказала младшей: вот, я спала вчера с отцем моим; напоим его вином и в сию ночь; и ты пойди, спи с ним, и восставим от отца нашего племя.

35 И напоили отца своего вином и в сию ночь; и встала младшая, и переспала с ним: и он не знал, как она легла и как встала.

36 И сделались обе дочери Лотовы беременны от отца своего.

37 Старшая родила сына, и нарекла ему имя: Моав; сей есть отец Моавитян, так-называемых до сего дня.

38 Младшая также родила сына, и нарекла ему имя: Бен-Амми; сей отец Аммонитян, так-называемых до сего дня.

1 Между тем, два Ангела пришли в Содом вечером, когда Лот сидел у ворот Содомских. Лот увидел и встал навстречу им, и поклонился лицем до земли.

10 Тогда гости простерли руки свои, и взяли Лота к себе в дом, и дверь заперли;

12 Наконец гости сказали Лоту: кто у тебя есть еще здесь? Зять ли, сыновья ли твои, дочери ли твои, и кто бы ни был у тебя в сем городе, всех выведи из сего места.

13 For we will destroy7843 this2088 place,4725 because3588 the cry6818 of them is waxen great1431 before854 the face6440 of the LORD;3068 and the LORD3068 has sent7971 us to destroy7843 it.

13 Ибо мы истребим сие место; потому что велик отсюда вопль к Иегове, и Иегова послал нас истребить его.

14 And Lot3876 went3318 out, and spoke1696 to his sons2860 in law,2859 which married3947 his daughters,1323 and said,559 Up, get3318 you out of this2088 place;4725 for the LORD3068 will destroy7843 this city.5892 But he seemed1961 5869 as one that mocked6711 to his sons2860 in law.2859

14 Итак, Лот пошел, и говорил с зятьями своими, которые брали за себя дочерей его, и сказал: встаньте, выдьте из сего места; ибо Иегова истребит сей город: но зятьям его показалось, что он шутит.

17 Когда же вывели их вон из города, то один из них сказал: спасай жизнь твою; не оглядывайся назад; и нигде не останавливайся на равнине сей; спасайся на гору, чтобы тебе не погибнуть.

18 And Lot3876 said559 to them, Oh,4994 not so, my LORD:113

18 Но Лот сказал им: нет, Господи!

19 Вот, раб Твой обрел благодать пред очами Твоими, и велика милость Твоя, которую Ты сделал со мною, что спас жизнь мою; но я не могу спастись на гору; чтоб не застигла меня беда сия, и чтобы мне не умереть.

20 Behold2009 now,4994 this2063 city5892 is near7138 to flee5127 to, and it is a little4705 one: Oh,4994 let me escape4422 thither,8033 (is it not a little4705 one?) and my soul5315 shall live.2421

20 Вот, ближе бежать в сей город, он же и мал; позвольте мне спасаться в него, не правда ли, что он мал? и сохранится жизнь моя.

21 And he said559 to him, See,2009 I have accepted5375 you concerning this2088 thing1697 also,1571 that I will not overthrow2015 this city,5892 for the which834 you have spoken.1696

21 И сказал ему: вот, Я в угодность тебе и сие сделаю; не истреблю города, о котором ты говоришь.

22 Haste4116 you, escape4422 thither;8033 for I cannot3808 3201 do6213 anything1697 till5704 you be come935 thither.8033 Therefore5921 3651 the name8034 of the city5892 was called7121 Zoar.6820

22 Поспешай, спасайся в него; ибо Я не могу сделать Своего дела, пока ты не придешь туда. Потому и дано имя городу сему: Сигор.

23 The sun8121 was risen3318 on the earth776 when Lot3876 entered935 into Zoar.6820

23 Солнце взошло над землею, и Лот пришел в Сигор.

28 И посмотрел он к Содому и Гоморру, и на все пространство равнины и увидел, и се, восходит дым с земли, как дым из печи.

29 And it came1961 to pass, when God430 destroyed7843 the cities5892 of the plain,3603 that God430 remembered2142 Abraham,85 and sent7971 Lot3876 out of the middle8432 of the overthrow,2018 when he overthrew2015 the cities5892 in the which834 2004 Lot3876 dwelled.3427

29 Таким образом, Бог, истребляя города равнины сей, вспомнил о Аврааме, и вывел Лота из среды истребления, когда истреблял города, в которых жил Лот.

30 And Lot3876 went5927 up out of Zoar,6820 and dwelled3427 in the mountain,2022 and his two8147 daughters1323 with him; for he feared3372 to dwell3427 in Zoar:6820 and he dwelled3427 in a cave,4631 he and his two8147 daughters.1323

30 Потом Лот вышел из Сигора, и стал жить в горе, и с ним две дочери его: ибо он боялся жить в Сигоре. И так он жил в пещере, и с ним две дочери его.

31 And the firstborn1067 said559 to the younger,6810 Our father1 is old,2204 and there is not a man376 in the earth776 to come935 in to us after the manner1870 of all3605 the earth:776

31 И сказала старшая младшей: отец наш стар; и нет человека на земле, который бы вошел к нам по обычаю всей земли.

32 Итак, напоим отца нашего вином, и переспим с ним, и восставим от отца нашего племя.

34 На другой день старшая сказала младшей: вот, я спала вчера с отцем моим; напоим его вином и в сию ночь; и ты пойди, спи с ним, и восставим от отца нашего племя.

35 И напоили отца своего вином и в сию ночь; и встала младшая, и переспала с ним: и он не знал, как она легла и как встала.
