Psalm 3

1 O LORD, how my oppressors are increased! Many are they that rise up against me.

2 Many there are that say to my soul, You have no salvation in your God.

3 But thou, O LORD, art my help and my glory, and the lifter up of my head.

4 I have cried to the LORD with my voice, and he has answered me from his holy mountain.

5 I lay down and slept; and I awoke; for the LORD sustained me.

6 I will not be afraid of thousands of people that have surrounded me and set themselves against me.

7 Arise, O LORD my God, and save me; for thou hast smitten all my enemies upon their cheeks; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.

8 For salvation belongs to the LORD; and thy blessing is upon thy people.

1 Псалом Давида (когда бежал он от сына своего Авессалома)

2 ГОСПОДИ! Как много у меня врагов! Восстают против меня многие,

3 много тех, кто говорит обо мне: «Нет для него спасения в Боге».

4 Но Ты, ГОСПОДИ, щит мой, слава моя; силы мои слабеющие Ты обновляешь.

5 Всем сердцем взываю я к ГОСПОДУ, и Он отвечает мне со святой горы Своей.

6 Спокойно ложусь я, сплю и пробуждаюсь, потому что ГОСПОДЬ защищает меня.

7 Не устрашусь и множества врагов, со всех сторон против меня ополчившихся.

8 Вступись за меня, ГОСПОДИ, спаси меня, Боже мой! О, если бы Ты дал пощечину моим врагам! О, если бы Ты зубы нечестивым сокрушил!
