Глава 17

1 Дух мой ослабел, дни мои угасают, передо мною гробы.

2 Если бы только не эти ругательства надо мною; то во время прекословия их спокойно уснуло бы око мое.

3 Положи залог; поручись за меня пред Тобою... кто это влагает руку завета в руку мою?..

4 Так, Ты закрыл сердце их от разумения; и потому не дашь им восторжествовать.

5 Кто друзей обрекает в добычу, у детей того человека глаза истают.

6 Между тем, Он поставил меня притчею для народов, чтобы я сделался предметом явного омерзения.

7 И притупилось от горести око мое; и все члены мои как тень.

8 Добродетельные ужаснутся о сем; и непорочный воскипит ревностью против безбожника.

9 Но праведный будет крепко держаться пути своего, и чистый руками будет все более утверждаться.

10 Все же вы, сколько бы раз не выступали, я не найду мудрого между вами.

11 Дни мои прошли; думы мои рушились, - наследственное достояние сердца моего.

12 Ночь хотят они превратить в день; свет у них близок к тьме.

13 Если я чаю, то преисподней, моего дома; во тьме постлал постель мою.

14 Говорю гробу: `отец мой ты`; червю: `ты мать моя и сестра моя`.

15 Где после этого мои надежды? Надежды мои! кто увидит их? В пустыни преисподней снидут, когда всему вкупе будет в прахе покой.

1 My breath7307 is corrupt,2254 my days3117 are extinct,2193 the graves6913 are ready for me.

2 Are there not mockers2049 with me? and does not my eye5869 continue3885 in their provocation?4784

3 Lay7760 down now,4994 put me in a surety6148 with you; who4310 is he that will strike8628 hands3027 with me?

4 For you have hid6845 their heart3820 from understanding:7922 therefore5921 3651 shall you not exalt7311 them.

5 He that speaks5046 flattery2506 to his friends,7453 even the eyes5869 of his children1121 shall fail.3615

6 He has made3322 me also a byword4914 of the people;5971 and aforetime6440 I was as a tabret.8611

7 My eye5869 also is dim3543 by reason of sorrow,3708 and all3605 my members3338 are as a shadow.6738

8 Upright3477 men shall be astonished8074 at5921 this,2063 and the innocent5355 shall stir5782 up himself against5921 the hypocrite.2611

9 The righteous6662 also shall hold270 on his way,1870 and he that has clean2891 hands3027 shall be stronger555 and stronger.

10 But as for you all,3605 do you return,7725 and come935 now:4994 for I cannot3808 find4672 one wise2450 man among you.

11 My days3117 are past,5674 my purposes2154 are broken5423 off, even the thoughts4180 of my heart.3824

12 They change7760 the night3915 into day:3117 the light216 is short7138 because6440 of darkness.2822

13 If518 I wait,6960 the grave7585 is my house:1004 I have made7502 my bed3326 in the darkness.2822

14 I have said7121 to corruption,7845 You are my father:1 to the worm,7415 You are my mother,517 and my sister.269

15 And where346 645 is now645 my hope?8615 as for my hope,8615 who4310 shall see7789 it?
