Глава 2

1 Сын мой, о если бы ты принял слова мои, и соблюл у себя наставления мои,

2 Сделал ухо свое внимательным к премудрости, наклонив сердце свое к разумению!

3 Ибо когда ты призовешь к себе разум, смыслу подашь голос свой;

4 Когда будешь искать их как серебра, и домогаться их как сокровищ,

5 Тогда уразумеешь страх Иеговы, и приобретешь познание Бога.

6 Ибо Иегова дает премудрость; из уст Его - знание и разумение.

7 Он соблюдает здравомыслие для благонравных; Он щит ходящим беспорочно,

8 Чтобы охранять стези правосудия, и путь чтителей Своих оберегает.

9 Тогда уразумеешь праведность и правосудие, и прямодушие, всякую стезю блага:

10 Ибо премудрость войдет в сердце твое, и знание будет приятно душе твоей;

11 Здравомыслие будет оберегать тебя, благоразумие будет охранять тебя,

12 Чтобы спасти тебя от худого пути, от человека, говорящего развратное;

13 От тех, кои оставили стези правды, чтобы ходить путями тьмы,

14 Кои радуются, делая зло, восхищаются переворотами зла

15 (Кривы они в стезях своих, и непрямы в следах своих);

16 Чтобы спасти тебя от жены чужой, от инородной; умеет она давать нежность словам своим;

17 Она, оставившая друга юности своей, и завет Бога своего забыла

18 (Ибо к смерти склонился дом ее, и к Рефаимам следы ее;

19 Все, вошедшие к ней, не возвратятся и не ступят на стези жизни);

20 Чтобы ты ходил путем добрых, и держался на стезях праведников.

21 Ибо благонравные будут жить на земле, и непорочные пребудут на ней;

22 А беззаконные истребятся с земли, и вероломные изгладятся с нее.
