Глава 11

1 Когда Израиль был отроком, Я возлюбил его, и из Египта вызвал сына Моего;

2 А теперь, сколько их ни зовут пророки, они все идут прочь от них; Ваалам приносят жертву и истуканам совершают курение.

3 Я учил Ефрема ходить (Он брал их на руки Свои); а они и не знают, что Я исцелял их.

4 Узами человеческими Я привлекал их, узами любви; и как бы намордник снял со щек их, и тихо обращаясь с ним, подавал пищу.

5 Не пойдет он опять в землю египетскую; но Ассур, он будет царем у него, потому что не хотят обратиться.

6 И нападет меч на города его, и разрушит твердыни его, и съест все, за умыслы их.

7 Но народ Мой медлит обратиться ко Мне; и хотя его призывают к горнему, но он не поднимается совокупно.

8 Как Мне отдать тебя, Ефрем? Как Мне выдать тебя, Израиль? Могу ли Я поступить с тобою, как с Адамою? Могу ли Я поставить тебя наравне с Цевоимомом? Подвиглось во Мне сердце Мое; воскипела вся жалость Моя.

9 Не дам действовать ярости гнева Моего; не склонюсь на погубление Ефрема. Ибо Я Бог, а не человек; Святый среди тебя, и не хожу в город.

10 Они пойдут вслед Иеговы, когда Он возревет, как лев; ибо Он возревет, и встрепенутся сыны от моря;

11 Встрепенутся, как птичка из Египта, и как голубь из земли Ассуровой; и водворю их в домах их, говорит Иегова.

Hosea

Chapter 11

1 WHEN Israel was a child, then I loved him, and I called him, my son, out of Egypt.

2 Just as they were called, so they went away from my presence; they sacrificed to Baal and burned incense to idols.

3 It was I who cared for Ephraim and took them up in my arms; but they did not know that I healed them.

4 I drew them with cords of a man, with the bands of love; and I was to them as one who takes off the yoke from their neck, and I bent over them and fed them.

5 They shall not return to the land of Egypt, but the Assyrian shall be their king, because they refused to repent.

6 The sword shall cause pain in their cities and consume their possessions, and they shall suffer because of their evil counsels.

7 And my people are inclined to backslide from me; though they shall call to God, they will take counsel together, and none at all would exalt him.

8 How shall I uphold you, O Ephraim? How shall I help you, O Israel? How shall I make you as Adamah? How shall I set you as Zeboim? My heart is turned within me, my tender mercies are moved.

9 I will not execute the fierceness of my anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim; for I am God, and not man in the midst of you; I am the Holy One, and I will not come to attack the city.

10 They shall walk after the LORD; he shall roar like a lion; because he shall roar, some of the people shall tremble.

11 They shall come fast like a bird out of Egypt, and like a dove out of the land of Assyria; and I will bring them back to their dwelling place, says the LORD.
