Глава 41

1 Два года спустя фараону приснился сон: будто он стоит у реки Нил,

2 и семь коров вышли из реки и пасутся на траве, здоровые, хорошие на вид коровы.

3 Но вот из реки вышли ещё семь коров, тощих и больных на вид, и стали на берегу рядом со здоровыми коровами.

4 Затем больные на вид коровы съели здоровых коров. И в этот момент фараон проснулся.

5 Когда фараон снова уснул, то ему приснился другой сон: на этот раз ему приснились семь колосьев пшеницы, растущих на одном стебле, здоровых и полных зерна,

6 а потом он увидел, что прорастают ещё семь колосьев, но пустые и опалённые горячим ветром.

7 И эти семь пустых колосьев пожрали семь полных колосьев, и тут фараон проснулся и понял, что это был всего лишь сон.

8 На следующее утро фараон был очень встревожен этими снами. Тогда он послал собрать всех магов, волшебников и мудрецов Египта и рассказал им свои сны, но никто из них не смог их истолковать.

9 И тогда виночерпий вспомнил об Иосифе и сказал фараону: «Я вспомнил о том, что однажды случилось со мной.

10 Ты разгневался на меня и на пекаря и отправил нас в тюрьму.

11 Однажды ночью нам с ним приснились сны, и каждый сон имел своё значение.

12 С нами в тюрьме был один молодой еврей, слуга начальника телохранителей, и, когда мы рассказали ему свои сны, он объяснил нам их значение.

13 Всё, как он сказал, так и сбылось: он предсказал, что я буду свободен и получу обратно своё место. И ещё он сказал, что пекарь умрёт, и это тоже сбылось!»

14 Фараон велел привести Иосифа из тюрьмы. Стражники тут же вывели Иосифа из тюрьмы, он остригся, надел чистую одежду и отправился к фараону.

15 «Мне приснился сон, — сказал фараон Иосифу, — но никто не может мне его истолковать. Я слышал, что ты умеешь толковать сны».

16 «Я не умею, — ответил Иосиф, — но Бог может объяснить их тебе, фараон!»

17 Тогда фараон сказал Иосифу: «Мне приснилось, что я стою на берегу реки Нил,

18 и вышли из реки семь коров, здоровых, хороших на вид, и стали пастись на траве.

19 Потом я увидел, что из реки вышли ещё семь коров, но эти были тощие и больные на вид, хуже этих коров я не видел нигде в Египте!

20 Затем тощие, больные коровы пожрали здоровых коров!

21 Но и после этого они всё равно выглядели такими же тощими и больными, глядя на них, нельзя было даже сказать, что они пожрали здоровых коров! Они выглядели такими же тощими и больными, как и прежде. И в тот момент я проснулся.

22 В другом сне я видел семь здоровых, полных зерна колосьев, растущих на одном стебле.

23 И после них выросло ещё семь колосьев, но они были тощие и обожжённые горячим ветром.

24 И вот тощие колосья пожрали семь здоровых колосьев. Я рассказал эти сны моим волшебникам, но никто не смог мне их объяснить. Что они означают?»

25 Иосиф сказал фараону: «Оба эти сна имеют одно и то же значение: Бог говорит тебе о том, что скоро случится.

26 Семь хороших коров и семь хороших колосьев — это семь лет,

27 а семь тощих и больных на вид коров и семь тощих колосьев предвещают, что в этих краях будет семь голодных лет, и эти семь плохих лет наступят после семи хороших.

28 Бог открыл тебе, что случится вскоре, и Он сделает так, как я тебе сказал.

29 В течение семи лет в Египте будет всего в изобилии,

30 но потом наступят семь голодных лет, и народ Египта забудет о том, как много было всего раньше, и голод погубит страну.

31 Еды будет так мало, что люди забудут, когда они не были голодны.

32 Фараон, тебе приснилось два сна об одном и том же, так как Бог хотел показать тебе, что Он на самом деле сделает так и что всё вскоре случится!

33 Именно поэтому, фараон, ты должен выбрать мудрого и разумного человека и поставить его управлять всем Египтом.

34 Ты должен назначить людей, чтобы они собирали у народа еду. В течение семи хороших лет народ должен будет отдавать им одну пятую того, что вырастит,

35 и тогда в течение семи хороших лет эти люди соберут много еды и запасут её в городах до тех пор, пока она не понадобится, и только ты, фараон, будешь этим распоряжаться.

37 Такая мысль очень понравилась фараону и всем его приближённым.

38 «Я думаю, что нам не найти никого более подходящего для этого дела, чем Иосиф, — сказал фараон своим приближённым. — В нём Дух Божий, который даёт ему великую мудрость!»

39 Затем фараон сказал Иосифу: «Так как Бог открыл тебе всё это, то нет никого мудрее тебя.

40 Я поставлю тебя управлять моей страной, и народ будет повиноваться тебе; только я, восседающий на престоле, буду могущественнее тебя».

41 «Отныне ты будешь правителем всего Египта», — сказал фараон Иосифу

42 и дал ему перстень со своей царской печатью и одежду из тончайшего полотна, а на шею ему надел золотую цепь.

43 По воле фараона Иосифа везли на второй из колесниц, а перед колесницей Иосифа шли царские вельможи и провозглашали народу: «Кланяйтесь Иосифу». И стал Иосиф правителем всего Египта.

44 «Я — египетский царь. Никто в Египте, кроме меня, не смеет пошевелить рукой или ногой без твоего разрешения», — сказал фараон Иосифу.

45 Затем Фараон дал Иосифу другое имя: Цафнаф-Панеах и отдал ему в жёны Асенефу, дочь Потифера, жреца из города Он. И стал Иосиф правителем всего Египта.

46 Иосифу было 30 лет, когда он стал служить египетскому царю. Затем Иосиф отправился в путешествие по всему Египту.

47 В течение семи хороших лет в Египте были обильные урожаи,

48 и в течение всего этого времени Иосиф запасал и хранил в городах хлеб: в каждом городе он делал запасы зерна из того, что росло в полях вокруг города.

49 Так Иосиф собрал огромные запасы зерна, столько, сколько песка в море. Он собрал столько зерна, что его невозможно было измерить.

50 У Иосифа была жена Асенефа, дочь Потифера, жреца из города Он, и ещё до наступления первого голодного года у них родилось двое сыновей.

51 Первенца Иосиф назвал Манассией, сказав: «Бог позволил мне позабыть обо всех моих невзгодах и о моём доме».

52 Младшего же сына Иосиф назвал Ефремом, потому что, как он говорил: «Много претерпел я невзгод, но Бог послал мне во всём успех».

53 В течение семи лет у народа было изобилие еды, но по истечении этого времени

54 начался семилетний голод, как Иосиф и предсказал. Ни в одной стране в тех краях не было урожая, но в Египте у народа было вдоволь еды, так как Иосиф запасся зерном!

55 Когда наступил голод, египетский народ воззвал к фараону с просьбой о хлебе, но фараон сказал египтянам: «Пойдите и спросите у Иосифа, что делать».

Chapter 41

1 AND it came to pass, two years later, Pharaoh dreamed; and he was standing by the river.

2 And, behold, there came up out of the river seven beautiful and fat cows; and they fed in a meadow.

3 And, behold, seven other cows came up after them out of the river, ill-favored and lean; and stood beside the other cows on the bank of the river.

4 And the ill-favored and lean cows ate up the seven beautiful and fat cows. So Pharaoh awoke.

5 And he slept and dreamed a second time; and, behold, seven ears of grain were growing on a single stalk, rank and good.

6 And, behold, seven thin ears blasted by the east wind, sprang up after them.

7 And the seven thin ears devoured the seven rank and full ears. And Pharaoh awoke, and, behold, it was a dream.

8 And it came to pass in the morning that his spirit was troubled; so he sent and called for all the magicians and all the wise men of Egypt; and Pharaoh told them his dreams; but there was no man who could interpret them to Pharaoh.

9 Then the chief butler spoke in the presence of Pharaoh, and said, I will mention my offense today;

10 Pharaoh was angry with his servants, and put me in the prison in the commander of the guard's house, both me and the chief baker;

11 And we dreamed dreams in the same night, I and he; we dreamed each man according to the interpretation of his dream.

12 And there was with us a young man, a Hebrew, a servant of the commander of the guard; and we told him our dreams, and he interpreted to us our dreams; to each man according to his dream he did interpret.

13 And it came to pass, as he interpreted to us, so it was; I was restored to my position, and he was crucified.

14 Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon; and he shaved himself, and changed his clothes, and came in before Pharaoh.

15 And Pharaoh said to Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and there is none that can interpret it; and I have heard concerning you, that when you hear a dream you can interpret it.

16 And Joseph answered and said to Pharaoh, Do you think, perhaps, that without God I am able to give Pharaoh an answer that everything will be well?

17 Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, In my dream I was standing on the bank of the river;

18 And, behold, there came up out of the river seven fat and beautiful cows; and they fed in a meadow;

19 And, behold, seven other cows came up after them, poor and ill-favored and lean. I had never seen such ill-favored cows in all the land of Egypt.

20 And the lean and ill-favored cows ate up the first seven fat cows;

21 And when they had eaten them up, it could not be known that they had eaten them: for they were still ill-favored, as at the beginning. Then I awoke.

22 And again, I saw in my dream, and, behold, seven ears of grain growing on one stalk, full and good;

23 And, behold, seven other ears, thin and blasted by the east wind, sprang up after them;

24 And the thin ears devoured the seven good ears; and I told this to the magicians; but there was no one who could interpret these dreams to me.

25 And Joseph said to Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is one; God has shown Pharaoh what he is about to do.

26 The seven good cows are seven years; and the seven good ears are seven years; the dream is one.

27 And the seven lean and ill-favored cows that came up after them are seven years; and the seven thin ears blasted by the east wind shall be seven years of famine.

28 It is the thing which I told Pharaoh; what God is about to do he has shown to Pharaoh.

29 Behold. there are coming seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt;

30 And there shall arise after them seven years of famine; and all the plenty shall be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine shall consume the land;

31 And the plenty shall not be remembered in the land because of the famine which shall follow; for it shall be very severe.

32 And as for that the dream was repeated to Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is already prepared by God, and God will hasten to bring it to pass.

33 Now therefore let Pharaoh find a discreet and wise man, and appoint him an overseer over the land of Egypt.

34 Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land of Egypt to take the fifth part of the produce of the land of Egypt during the seven plenteous years.

35 And let them gather all the wheat of these good years that are coming, and store up the grain under the authority of Pharaoh, and let them keep the grain in the towns.

36 And let the grain be kept for the land against the seven years of famine which shall come in the land of Egypt; so that the land may not perish through the famine.

37 And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants.

38 And Pharaoh said to his servants, Can we find such a man as this, in whom the Spirit of God is?

39 Then Pharaoh said to Joseph. Forasmuch as God has shown you all this, there is none so wise and discreet as you are:

40 You shall be over my household, and according to your word shall all my people be ruled; only on the throne will I be greater than you.

41 And Pharaoh said to Joseph, See, I have made you governor over all the land of Egypt.

42 Then Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it on Joseph's hand, and arrayed him in robes of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck:

43 And he made him to ride in another chariot which belonged to him; and they cried before him, Father and governor! Thus he made him governor over all the land of Egypt.

44 And Pharaoh said to Joseph, I Pharaoh have commanded that without your orders no man shall undertake anything in all the land of Egypt.

45 Then Pharaoh called Joseph's name Zaphnath-paaneah (because the hidden things were revealed to him); and he gave him to wife Asiath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On. And Joseph went throughout all the land of Egypt.

46 And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt.

47 And in the seven plenteous years the land brought forth abundantly.

48 And he gathered up all the grain of the seven plenteous years which were in the land of Egypt, and stored up the grain in towns; the grain of the fields which was round about every town he stored in the same.

49 And Joseph stored up grain as the sand of the sea, very much, until he was tired of numbering it; for it was without number.

50 And to Joseph were born two sons before the years of famine came, whom Asiath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On bore to him.

51 And Joseph called the name of his first-born Manasseh; For God, said he, has made me forget all my troubles, and all my father's house.

52 And the name of the second he called Ephraim; For God has made me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction.

53 And the seven years of plenty that were in the land of Egypt came to an end.

54 And the seven years of famine began to come, according as Joseph had said; and there was famine in all lands; and in all the land of Egypt there was no bread.

55 And when all the land of Egypt was famished, the people complained against Pharaoh because of the lack of bread; and Pharaoh said to all the Egyptians, Go to Joseph; and what he says to you, do.

56 And the famine was over all the face of the land, and Joseph opened all the storehouses, and sold to the Egyptians;

57 And the famine was severe in the land of Egypt. And the people from all lands came to Egypt to Joseph to buy grain; because the famine was severe in all lands.

20 Затем тощие, больные коровы пожрали здоровых коров!

20 And the lean and ill-favored cows ate up the first seven fat cows;

21 Но и после этого они всё равно выглядели такими же тощими и больными, глядя на них, нельзя было даже сказать, что они пожрали здоровых коров! Они выглядели такими же тощими и больными, как и прежде. И в тот момент я проснулся.

21 And when they had eaten them up, it could not be known that they had eaten them: for they were still ill-favored, as at the beginning. Then I awoke.

22 В другом сне я видел семь здоровых, полных зерна колосьев, растущих на одном стебле.

22 And again, I saw in my dream, and, behold, seven ears of grain growing on one stalk, full and good;

23 И после них выросло ещё семь колосьев, но они были тощие и обожжённые горячим ветром.

23 And, behold, seven other ears, thin and blasted by the east wind, sprang up after them;

24 И вот тощие колосья пожрали семь здоровых колосьев. Я рассказал эти сны моим волшебникам, но никто не смог мне их объяснить. Что они означают?»

24 And the thin ears devoured the seven good ears; and I told this to the magicians; but there was no one who could interpret these dreams to me.

25 Иосиф сказал фараону: «Оба эти сна имеют одно и то же значение: Бог говорит тебе о том, что скоро случится.

25 And Joseph said to Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is one; God has shown Pharaoh what he is about to do.

26 Семь хороших коров и семь хороших колосьев — это семь лет,

26 The seven good cows are seven years; and the seven good ears are seven years; the dream is one.

27 а семь тощих и больных на вид коров и семь тощих колосьев предвещают, что в этих краях будет семь голодных лет, и эти семь плохих лет наступят после семи хороших.

27 And the seven lean and ill-favored cows that came up after them are seven years; and the seven thin ears blasted by the east wind shall be seven years of famine.

28 Бог открыл тебе, что случится вскоре, и Он сделает так, как я тебе сказал.

28 It is the thing which I told Pharaoh; what God is about to do he has shown to Pharaoh.

29 В течение семи лет в Египте будет всего в изобилии,

29 Behold. there are coming seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt;

30 но потом наступят семь голодных лет, и народ Египта забудет о том, как много было всего раньше, и голод погубит страну.

30 And there shall arise after them seven years of famine; and all the plenty shall be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine shall consume the land;

31 Еды будет так мало, что люди забудут, когда они не были голодны.

31 And the plenty shall not be remembered in the land because of the famine which shall follow; for it shall be very severe.

32 Фараон, тебе приснилось два сна об одном и том же, так как Бог хотел показать тебе, что Он на самом деле сделает так и что всё вскоре случится!

32 And as for that the dream was repeated to Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is already prepared by God, and God will hasten to bring it to pass.

37 And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants.

38 «Я думаю, что нам не найти никого более подходящего для этого дела, чем Иосиф, — сказал фараон своим приближённым. — В нём Дух Божий, который даёт ему великую мудрость!»

38 And Pharaoh said to his servants, Can we find such a man as this, in whom the Spirit of God is?

39 Then Pharaoh said to Joseph. Forasmuch as God has shown you all this, there is none so wise and discreet as you are:

44 And Pharaoh said to Joseph, I Pharaoh have commanded that without your orders no man shall undertake anything in all the land of Egypt.

45 Затем Фараон дал Иосифу другое имя: Цафнаф-Панеах и отдал ему в жёны Асенефу, дочь Потифера, жреца из города Он. И стал Иосиф правителем всего Египта.

45 Then Pharaoh called Joseph's name Zaphnath-paaneah (because the hidden things were revealed to him); and he gave him to wife Asiath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On. And Joseph went throughout all the land of Egypt.

46 Иосифу было 30 лет, когда он стал служить египетскому царю. Затем Иосиф отправился в путешествие по всему Египту.

46 And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt.

47 В течение семи хороших лет в Египте были обильные урожаи,

47 And in the seven plenteous years the land brought forth abundantly.

48 и в течение всего этого времени Иосиф запасал и хранил в городах хлеб: в каждом городе он делал запасы зерна из того, что росло в полях вокруг города.

48 And he gathered up all the grain of the seven plenteous years which were in the land of Egypt, and stored up the grain in towns; the grain of the fields which was round about every town he stored in the same.

49 Так Иосиф собрал огромные запасы зерна, столько, сколько песка в море. Он собрал столько зерна, что его невозможно было измерить.

49 And Joseph stored up grain as the sand of the sea, very much, until he was tired of numbering it; for it was without number.

50 У Иосифа была жена Асенефа, дочь Потифера, жреца из города Он, и ещё до наступления первого голодного года у них родилось двое сыновей.

50 And to Joseph were born two sons before the years of famine came, whom Asiath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On bore to him.

51 Первенца Иосиф назвал Манассией, сказав: «Бог позволил мне позабыть обо всех моих невзгодах и о моём доме».

51 And Joseph called the name of his first-born Manasseh; For God, said he, has made me forget all my troubles, and all my father's house.

52 Младшего же сына Иосиф назвал Ефремом, потому что, как он говорил: «Много претерпел я невзгод, но Бог послал мне во всём успех».

52 And the name of the second he called Ephraim; For God has made me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction.

53 В течение семи лет у народа было изобилие еды, но по истечении этого времени

53 And the seven years of plenty that were in the land of Egypt came to an end.

54 начался семилетний голод, как Иосиф и предсказал. Ни в одной стране в тех краях не было урожая, но в Египте у народа было вдоволь еды, так как Иосиф запасся зерном!

54 And the seven years of famine began to come, according as Joseph had said; and there was famine in all lands; and in all the land of Egypt there was no bread.

55 Когда наступил голод, египетский народ воззвал к фараону с просьбой о хлебе, но фараон сказал египтянам: «Пойдите и спросите у Иосифа, что делать».

55 And when all the land of Egypt was famished, the people complained against Pharaoh because of the lack of bread; and Pharaoh said to all the Egyptians, Go to Joseph; and what he says to you, do.

56 Кругом был голод, и тогда Иосиф отворил хранилища и стал продавать египтянам запасённое зерно. В Египте был ужасный голод,

56 And the famine was over all the face of the land, and Joseph opened all the storehouses, and sold to the Egyptians;

57 но такой же ужасный голод был и по всей земле, и народ из всех стран вокруг Египта приходил покупать там зерно.

57 And the famine was severe in the land of Egypt. And the people from all lands came to Egypt to Joseph to buy grain; because the famine was severe in all lands.
