Глава 13

1 Это печальное пророчество о Вавилоне Господь послал Исаии, сыну Амоса.

2 «На горе, где ничего не растёт, подними знамя и махни рукою, чтобы люди шли в ворота знатных».

3 Господь сказал: «Я Сам буду командовать теми, кого избрал для битвы. Я Сам призвал к Себе этих гордых и счастливых воинов, чтобы явить Свой гнев.

4 В горах громкий шум, словно множество народа собралось вместе из разных царств. Господь Всемогущий собирает армию!

5 Они идут из отдалённых земель, из-за горизонта. С помощью этой армии Господь покажет Свой гнев. Эта армия уничтожит всю страну».

6 Близок избранный Господом день, поэтому плачь и печалься, так как время придёт и враг заберёт твоё богатство. Бог Всемогущий свершит всё это,

7 и люди, утратив смелость, ослабнут от страха.

8 Каждый ужаснётся; люди будут смотреть со страхом друг на друга. Они в страхе скорчатся от боли в животе, подобно той, которую переносит женщина во время родов.

9 Смотри, наступает страшный день Господа, он будет ужасен, Бог будет в гневе, и, разрушив страну, Он уничтожит всех грешников, живущих в той земле.

10 Небо будет чёрным: ни солнце, ни луна, ни звёзды светить не будут.

11 Господь говорит: «Я в мир пришлю беду, Я накажу за зло и за грехи, Я лишу гордых гордости, Я пресеку хвастовство тех, кто притесняет других.

12 Я сделаю так, что найти живого человека будет так же сложно, как отыскать чистое золото!

13 Гнев Мой сотрясёт небо, и сдвинется с места земля». Так случится в день, когда Господь Всемогущий явит Свой гнев.

14 Тогда жители Вавилона побегут как раненые олени, как овцы, лишившиеся пастуха, и каждый повернётся и побежит обратно в свою страну, к своему народу.

15 Но враги будут преследовать жителей Вавилона, а кого поймают, того убьют мечом.

16 Дома их будут разграблены, жёны — поруганы, а дети — убиты у них на глазах.

17 Господь говорит: «Я подниму против Вавилона армию Мидии, которая не остановится, даже если им предложат золото и серебро.

18 Никому не будет пощады: из луков своих солдаты убьют юношей, и не проявят милосердия даже к детям.

19 Вавилон — прекраснейшее из всех царств, и его жители горды своим городом. Но Я, Господь, уничтожу его подобно тому, как Я уничтожил Содом и Гоморру.

20 Но не быть Вавилону больше прекрасным, никто не будет в нём жить, аравитяне не раскинут там своих шатров, и пастухи не приведут туда своих овец.

21 И будут там обитать лишь дикие звери пустыни, не люди будут жить в домах Вавилона, а совы, птицы и дикие козлы будут скакать в домах.

22 Шакалы и волки будут выть в красивейших зданиях Вавилона. Конец его приближается, и дни его сочтены».

Chapter 13

1 THE prophecy concerning the fall of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw.

2 Lift up a banner on high mountains, raise the voice to them, wave the hand, that they may enter the gates of the princes.

3 I have commanded my sanctified ones, I have called the mighty ones in my anger, even them that became strong with my excellency.

4 The noise of tumult on the mountains, like as of many peoples; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together; the LORD of hosts is performing wonders.

5 Warriors are coming from afar, and from the end of heaven, even the LORD and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.

6 Howl; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a plunder which is made suddenly.

7 Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man's heart shall melt;

8 And they shall be afraid; terror and pangs shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman in travail; they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.

9 Behold, the day of the LORD comes, which has no remedy, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to make the earth a desolation; and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

10 For the stars of heaven and their constellations shall not give their light; the sun shall be darkened in its rising, and the moon shall not cause its light to shine.

11 And I will punish the world for its evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will bring low the haughtiness of the mighty.

12 I will make a man more precious than gold; even a man than the gold of Ophir.

13 Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall be moved out of its place, in the rebuke of the LORD of hosts, in the day of his fierce anger.

14 And they shall be like gazelles when they flee, and like sheep that have no one to gather them; every man shall turn to his own people, and every one flee to his own land.

15 Every one that is found shall be thrust through; and every one that escapes shall fall by the sword.

16 Their children, shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled and their wives ravished.

17 Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, who have no regard for silver, and have no delight in gold.

18 The bows of young men shall be broken in pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eyes shall not spare children.

19 And Babylon, the glory of the kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldean's excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.

20 It shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation; neither shall the Arabians encamp there; neither shall the shepherds make their folds there.

21 But wild beasts shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and ostriches shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there.

22 And the screech-owls shall cry in their palaces, and jackals in their pleasant temples; its time is soon to come, and its days shall not be prolonged.

4 The noise of tumult on the mountains, like as of many peoples; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together; the LORD of hosts is performing wonders.

5 Они идут из отдалённых земель, из-за горизонта. С помощью этой армии Господь покажет Свой гнев. Эта армия уничтожит всю страну».

5 Warriors are coming from afar, and from the end of heaven, even the LORD and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.

6 Близок избранный Господом день, поэтому плачь и печалься, так как время придёт и враг заберёт твоё богатство. Бог Всемогущий свершит всё это,

6 Howl; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a plunder which is made suddenly.

7 и люди, утратив смелость, ослабнут от страха.

7 Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man's heart shall melt;

8 Каждый ужаснётся; люди будут смотреть со страхом друг на друга. Они в страхе скорчатся от боли в животе, подобно той, которую переносит женщина во время родов.

8 And they shall be afraid; terror and pangs shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman in travail; they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.

9 Смотри, наступает страшный день Господа, он будет ужасен, Бог будет в гневе, и, разрушив страну, Он уничтожит всех грешников, живущих в той земле.

9 Behold, the day of the LORD comes, which has no remedy, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to make the earth a desolation; and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

10 Небо будет чёрным: ни солнце, ни луна, ни звёзды светить не будут.

10 For the stars of heaven and their constellations shall not give their light; the sun shall be darkened in its rising, and the moon shall not cause its light to shine.

11 Господь говорит: «Я в мир пришлю беду, Я накажу за зло и за грехи, Я лишу гордых гордости, Я пресеку хвастовство тех, кто притесняет других.

11 And I will punish the world for its evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will bring low the haughtiness of the mighty.

19 Вавилон — прекраснейшее из всех царств, и его жители горды своим городом. Но Я, Господь, уничтожу его подобно тому, как Я уничтожил Содом и Гоморру.

19 And Babylon, the glory of the kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldean's excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.

20 Но не быть Вавилону больше прекрасным, никто не будет в нём жить, аравитяне не раскинут там своих шатров, и пастухи не приведут туда своих овец.

20 It shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation; neither shall the Arabians encamp there; neither shall the shepherds make their folds there.

21 И будут там обитать лишь дикие звери пустыни, не люди будут жить в домах Вавилона, а совы, птицы и дикие козлы будут скакать в домах.

21 But wild beasts shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and ostriches shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there.

22 Шакалы и волки будут выть в красивейших зданиях Вавилона. Конец его приближается, и дни его сочтены».

22 And the screech-owls shall cry in their palaces, and jackals in their pleasant temples; its time is soon to come, and its days shall not be prolonged.
