1 拉結見己不育、則妒厥姊、謂雅各曰、賜我生子、不然我死矣。

2 雅各怒曰、使爾不育者、在上帝、豈在我乎。

3 曰、我婢辟拉可與同室、彼生之、我撫之、我因以得子。

4 遂以婢辟拉予夫同室。

5 辟拉懷姙生子。

6 拉結命名但、曰、上帝祐我、聽我祈、賜我一子、

7 辟拉再姙生子、

8 拉結命名納大利、曰、我與姊力爭得利。

9 利亞久不姙、以婢悉帕與夫同室。

10 悉帕生子、

11 利亞命名伽得、曰、幸甚。

12 悉帕再生子、

13 利亞命名亞設、曰、我蒙福祉、羣女將謂我有福。〇

14 麥秋至、流便往於田、獲風茄、奉母利亞、拉結謂利亞曰、請以爾子之風茄與我。

17 上帝俯念利亞、賜之懷姙、生五子、

18 利亞命名以薩迦、曰、昔以婢與夫、今蒙上帝給我値。

19 利亞復姙生六子、

20 命名西布倫、曰、上帝賜我嘉賚、我生六子、夫必偕我。

21 後生女、命名底拿、〇

22 上帝眷念拉結、俯聽其祈、使之誕育、

23 懷姙生子、曰、上帝已洒我恥矣。

24 乃命名約瑟、曰、耶和華必復賜子。〇

25 拉結生約瑟、後雅各謂拉班曰、請遣我歸、返於故土。

26 我爲妻子、役事於爾、乃爾所知、盍以妻子賜我、以遣我歸。

27 拉班曰、我知耶和華緣爾錫嘏於我、若得蒙爾恩、與我偕居、

28 請言其値、而我給之。

29 曰我爲爾服役、牧汝羣畜、是爾所知、

30 當我之未至也、所有鮮少、迨我旣至、耶和華錫嘏於爾、滋育蕃多、然我欲成家、將至何時乎。

31 拉班曰、我何以酬爾。曰、爾欲相酬、無需他物、惟有一事、若許則仍爲爾牧。

32 今我將徧閱爾羣畜、凡斑駁成點之山羊、及棕色之綿羊、悉驅之出以爲我値、

33 異日我値置於汝前、凡山羊非斑駁成點、綿羊非棕色者、卽擬我盜、可也。我之公義、以此可徵。

34 拉班曰、可如爾言。

35 當日將牡山羊之有圈點者、牝山羊之斑駁成點、兼雜白文者、及綿羊之棕色者、悉付己子、

36 移之遠方、相去三日、惟雅各仍牧拉班之餘羊。〇

37 遂將楊柳杏楓之枝、擇其嫩者、剝皮成文、使枝之白間露、

38 置枝於溝壑水槽、羣畜來飲之處、與羣相對、使畜飲時、牝牡相誘、

39 羣畜附枝相誘、遂產斑駁圈點者。

40 雅各將羔羊區別之、以己羣驅在一方、與拉班羣中、所有圈與棕色之羊相對、不與拉班羊相雜。

41 遇畜之肥健者相誘、雅各置枝於水道、而當其前、使附枝相誘。

42 若畜之贏弱者、不置之、如是弱歸拉班、肥歸雅各。

43 且生息蕃多、牲畜奴婢駝驢、不可悉數。

Chapter 30

1 And when Rachel7354 saw7200 that she bore3205 Jacob3290 no369 children, Rachel7354 envied7065 her sister;269 and said559 to Jacob,3290 Give3051 me children,1121 or else369 I die.4191

2 And Jacob's3290 anger639 was kindled2734 against Rachel:7354 and he said,559 Am I in God's430 stead,8478 who834 has withheld4513 from you the fruit6529 of the womb?990

3 And she said,559 Behold2009 my maid519 Bilhah,1090 go935 in to her; and she shall bear3205 on my knees,1290 that I may also1571 have children1129 by her.

4 And she gave5414 him Bilhah1090 her handmaid8198 to wife:802 and Jacob3290 went935 in to her.

5 And Bilhah1090 conceived,2029 and bore3205 Jacob3290 a son.1121

6 And Rachel7354 said,559 God430 has judged1777 me, and has also1571 heard8085 my voice,6963 and has given5414 me a son:1121 therefore5921 3651 called7121 she his name8034 Dan.1835

7 And Bilhah1090 Rachel's7354 maid8198 conceived2029 again,5750 and bore3205 Jacob3290 a second8145 son.1121

8 And Rachel7354 said,559 With great430 wrestlings5319 have I wrestled6617 with my sister,269 and I have prevailed:3201 and she called7121 his name8034 Naphtali.5321

9 When Leah3812 saw7200 that she had left5975 bearing,3205 she took3947 Zilpah2153 her maid,8198 and gave5414 her Jacob3290 to wife.802

10 And Zilpah2153 Leah's3812 maid8198 bore3205 Jacob3290 a son.1121

11 And Leah3812 said,559 A troop1409 comes:935 and she called7121 his name8034 Gad.1410

12 And Zilpah2153 Leah's3812 maid8198 bore3205 Jacob3290 a second8145 son.1121

13 And Leah3812 said,559 Happy837 am I, for the daughters1323 will call833 me blessed:833 and she called7121 his name8034 Asher.836

14 And Reuben7205 went3212 in the days3117 of wheat2406 harvest,7105 and found4672 mandrakes1736 in the field,7704 and brought935 them to his mother517 Leah.3812 Then Rachel7354 said559 to Leah,3812 Give5414 me, I pray4994 you, of your son's1121 mandrakes.1736

15 And she said559 to her, Is it a small4592 matter that you have taken3947 my husband?376 and would you take3947 away my son's1121 mandrakes1736 also?1571 And Rachel7354 said,559 Therefore3651 he shall lie7901 with you to night3915 for your son's1121 mandrakes.1736

16 And Jacob3290 came935 out of the field7704 in the evening,6153 and Leah3812 went3318 out to meet7125 him, and said,559 You must come935 in to me; for surely I have hired7936 you with my son's1121 mandrakes.1736 And he lay7901 with her that night.3915

17 And God430 listened8085 to Leah,3812 and she conceived,2029 and bore3205 Jacob3290 the fifth2549 son.1121

18 And Leah3812 said,559 God430 has given5414 me my hire,7939 because834 I have given5414 my maiden8198 to my husband:376 and she called7121 his name8034 Issachar.3485

19 And Leah3812 conceived2029 again,5750 and bore3205 Jacob3290 the sixth8345 son.1121

20 And Leah3812 said,559 God430 has endued2064 me with a good2896 dowry;2065 now6471 will my husband376 dwell2082 with me, because3588 I have born3205 him six8337 sons:1121 and she called7121 his name8034 Zebulun.2074

21 And afterwards310 she bore3205 a daughter,1323 and called7121 her name8034 Dinah.1783

22 And God430 remembered2142 Rachel,7354 and God430 listened8085 to her, and opened6605 her womb.7358

23 And she conceived,2029 and bore3205 a son;1121 and said,559 God430 has taken622 away my reproach:2781

24 And she called7121 his name8034 Joseph;3130 and said,559 The LORD3068 shall add3254 to me another312 son.1121

25 And it came1961 to pass, when834 Rachel7354 had born3205 Joseph,3130 that Jacob3290 said559 to Laban,3837 Send7971 me away, that I may go3212 to my own place,4725 and to my country.776

26 Give5414 me my wives802 and my children,3206 for whom834 I have served5647 you, and let me go:3212 for you know3045 my service5656 which834 I have done5647 you.

27 And Laban3837 said559 to him, I pray4994 you, if518 I have found4672 favor2580 in your eyes,5869 tarry: for I have learned5172 by experience5172 that the LORD3068 has blessed1288 me for your sake.1558

28 And he said,559 Appoint5344 me your wages,7939 and I will give5414 it.

29 And he said559 to him, You know3045 how854 834 I have served5647 you, and how854 834 your cattle4735 was with me.

30 For it was little4592 which834 you had before6440 I came, and it is now increased6555 to a multitude;7230 and the LORD3068 has blessed1288 you since my coming:7272 and now6258 when4970 shall I provide6213 for my own house1004 also?1571

31 And he said,559 What4100 shall I give5414 you? And Jacob3290 said,559 You shall not give5414 me any3972 thing:1697 if518 you will do6213 this2088 thing1697 for me, I will again7725 feed7462 and keep8104 your flock.6629

32 I will pass5674 through all3605 your flock6629 to day,3117 removing5493 from there8033 all3605 the speckled5348 and spotted2921 cattle,7716 and all3605 the brown2345 cattle7716 among the sheep,3775 and the spotted2921 and speckled5348 among the goats:5795 and of such shall be my hire.7939

33 So shall my righteousness6666 answer6030 for me in time3117 to come,4279 when3588 it shall come935 for my hire7939 before your face:6440 every3605 one3605 that is not speckled5348 and spotted2921 among the goats,5795 and brown2345 among the sheep,3775 that shall be counted stolen1589 with me.

34 And Laban3837 said,559 Behold,2005 I would3863 it might be according to your word.1697

35 And he removed5493 that day3117 the he goats8495 that were ringstraked6124 and spotted,2921 and all3605 the she goats5795 that were speckled5348 and spotted,2921 and every3605 one that had some white3836 in it, and all3605 the brown2345 among the sheep,3775 and gave5414 them into the hand3027 of his sons.1121

36 And he set7760 three7969 days' 3117journey1870 between996 himself and Jacob:3290 and Jacob3290 fed7462 the rest3498 of Laban's3837 flocks.6629

37 And Jacob3290 took3947 him rods4731 of green3892 poplar,3839 and of the hazel3869 and chesnut6196 tree; and pilled6478 white3836 strakes6479 in them, and made the white3836 appear4286 which834 was in the rods.4731

38 And he set3322 the rods4731 which834 he had pilled6478 before5227 the flocks6629 in the gutters7298 in the watering4325 troughs8268 when3588 the flocks6629 came935 to drink,8354 that they should conceive3179 when they came935 to drink.8354

39 And the flocks6629 conceived3179 before413 the rods,4731 and brought3205 forth3209 cattle6629 ringstraked,6124 speckled,5348 and spotted.2921

40 And Jacob3290 did separate6504 the lambs,3775 and set5414 the faces6440 of the flocks6629 toward413 the ringstraked,6124 and all3605 the brown2345 in the flock6629 of Laban;3837 and he put7896 his own flocks5739 by themselves,905 and put7896 them not to Laban's3837 cattle.6629

41 And it came1961 to pass, whenever3605 the stronger7194 cattle6629 did conceive,3179 that Jacob3290 laid7760 the rods4731 before the eyes5869 of the cattle6629 in the gutters,7298 that they might conceive3179 among the rods.4731

42 But when the cattle6629 were feeble,5848 he put7760 them not in: so the feebler5848 were Laban's,3837 and the stronger7194 Jacob's.3290

43 And the man376 increased6555 exceedingly,3966 and had1961 much7227 cattle,6629 and maidservants,8198 and menservants,5650 and camels,1581 and asses.2543

15 曰、爾奪我寵、豈微故耶、今欲奪我子之風茄乎。拉結曰、爲汝子之風茄、是夜可與夫偕寢。

16 And Jacob3290 came935 out of the field7704 in the evening,6153 and Leah3812 went3318 out to meet7125 him, and said,559 You must come935 in to me; for surely I have hired7936 you with my son's1121 mandrakes.1736 And he lay7901 with her that night.3915

17 上帝俯念利亞、賜之懷姙、生五子、

27 And Laban3837 said559 to him, I pray4994 you, if518 I have found4672 favor2580 in your eyes,5869 tarry: for I have learned5172 by experience5172 that the LORD3068 has blessed1288 me for your sake.1558

28 請言其値、而我給之。

28 And he said,559 Appoint5344 me your wages,7939 and I will give5414 it.

29 曰我爲爾服役、牧汝羣畜、是爾所知、

29 And he said559 to him, You know3045 how854 834 I have served5647 you, and how854 834 your cattle4735 was with me.

30 當我之未至也、所有鮮少、迨我旣至、耶和華錫嘏於爾、滋育蕃多、然我欲成家、將至何時乎。

36 移之遠方、相去三日、惟雅各仍牧拉班之餘羊。〇
