3 nämlich die3427 fünf2568 Fürsten5633 der Philister6430 und alle Kanaaniter3669 und Zidonier und Heviter2340, die am Berge2022 Libanon3844 wohneten, von dem Berge2022 Baal-Hermon1179 an, bis man kommt935 gen Hemath.

6 nahmen3947 sie jener Töchter1323 zu Weibern802 und5647 gaben5414 ihre Töchter1323 jener Söhnen1121 und430 dieneten jener Göttern;

6 And they took3947 their daughters1323 to be their wives,802 and gave5414 their daughters1323 to their sons,1121 and served5647 their gods.430

7 und1121 taten6213 übel vor5869 dem7451 HErrn3068 und3478 vergaßen7911 des HErrn3068, ihres Gottes430, und5647 dieneten Baalim1168 und den Hainen.

7 And the children1121 of Israel3478 did6213 evil7451 in the sight5869 of the LORD,3068 and forgot7911 the LORD3068 their God,430 and served5647 Baalim1168 and the groves.842

8 Da ergrimmete der Zorn639 des HErrn3068 über Israel3478 und verkaufte4376 sie unter5647 die Hand3027 Kusan-Risathaims3573, des Königs4428 zu Mesopotamien763; und dieneten also die Kinder1121 Israel3478 dem Kusan-Risathaim3573 acht8083 Jahre8141.

9 And when the children1121 of Israel3478 cried2199 to the LORD,3068 the LORD3068 raised6965 up a deliverer3467 to the children1121 of Israel,3478 who delivered3467 them, even853 Othniel6274 the son1121 of Kenaz,7073 Caleb's3612 younger6996 brother.251

10 Und der Geist7307 des HErrn3068 war in ihm; und ward5810 Richter8199 in Israel3478 und zog aus3318 zum Streit4421. Und der HErr3068 gab5414 den König4428 zu Syrien, Kusan-Risathaim3573, in seine Hand3027, daß seine Hand3027 über ihn zu stark ward.

12 Aber die Kinder1121 Israel3478 taten6213 fürder3254 übels7451 vor5869 dem HErrn3068. Da stärkte der HErr3068 Eglon5700, den König4428 der Moabiter4124, wider Israel3478, darum daß sie2388 übels7451 taten6213 vor5869 dem HErrn3068.

12 And the children1121 of Israel3478 did6213 evil7451 again3254 in the sight5869 of the LORD:3068 and the LORD3068 strengthened2388 Eglon5700 the king4428 of Moab4124 against5921 Israel,3478 because5921 3588 they had done6213 evil7451 in the sight5869 of the LORD.3068

13 Und3423 sammelte622 zu ihm die Kinder1121 Ammon5983 und5892 die Amalekiter6002. Und er zog3212 hin und schlug5221 Israel3478 und nahm ein die Palmenstadt.

13 And he gathered622 to him the children1121 of Ammon5983 and Amalek,6002 and went3212 and smote5221 Israel,3478 and possessed3423 the city5892 of palm8558 trees.

14 Und5647 die Kinder1121 Israel3478 dieneten Eglon5700, der Moabiter4124 Könige4428, achtzehn6240 Jahre8141.

15 Da schrieen2199 sie3027 zu dem HErrn3068; und376 der HErr3068 erweckte6965 ihnen1145 einen Heiland3467, Ehud164, den Sohn1121 Geras1617, des7971 Sohns Jeminis, der war1121 link. Und3478 da die Kinder1121 Israel3478 durch denselben Geschenk4503 sandten Eglon5700, der Moabiter4124 Könige4428,

17 und brachte das Geschenk4503 dem Eglon5700, der Moabiter4124 Könige4428. Eglon5700 aber war7126 ein sehr3966 fetter1277 Mann376.

17 And he brought7126 the present4503 to Eglon5700 king4428 of Moab:4124 and Eglon5700 was a very3966 fat1277 man.376

18 Und da er7126 das Geschenk4503 hatte3615 überantwortet, ließ7971 er das Volk5971, die das Geschenk4503 getragen hatten5375,

18 And when834 he had made an end3615 to offer7126 the present,4503 he sent7971 away the people5971 that bore5375 the present.4503

19 und kehrete um7725 von den Götzen6456 zu Gilgal1537 und ließ ansagen: Ich559 habe5975, o König4428, dir was Heimliches5643 zu sagen559. Er aber hieß schweigen2013, und gingen aus3318 von ihm alle, die um1697 ihn stunden.

20 Und Ehud164 kam935 zu ihm hinein. Er aber saß3427 in der Sommerlaube4747, die für ihn allein war. Und Ehud164 sprach559: Ich habe6965 Gottes430 Wort1697 an dich. Da stund er auf vom Stuhl3678.

20 And Ehud261 came935 to him; and he was sitting3427 in a summer4747 parlor,5944 which834 he had for himself alone.905 And Ehud261 said,559 I have a message1697 from God430 to you. And he arose6965 out of his seat.3678

21 Ehud164 aber reckte7971 seine linke8040 Hand3027 aus und nahm3947 das Schwert2719 von seiner rechten3225 Hüfte3409 und stieß8628 es ihm in seinen Bauch990,
|
21 And Ehud261 put7971 forth7971 his left8040 hand,3027 and took3947 the dagger2719 from his right3225 thigh,3409 and thrust8628 it into his belly:990
|
|
22 daß auch das1157 Heft5325 der Schneide3851 nach310 hineinfuhr, und das Fett2459 das Heft verschloß5462 (denn er zog das Schwert8025 nicht aus3318 seinem Bauch990), daß der Mist von ihm ging935.
|
22 And the haft5325 also1571 went935 in after310 the blade;3851 and the fat2459 closed5462 on the blade,3851 so3588 that he could not draw8025 the dagger2719 out of his belly;990 and the dirt6574 came3318 out.

23 Aber Ehud164 ging3318 den Saal4528 hinaus und tat die Tür1817 hinter ihm zu5462 und verschloß sie5274.
|
23 Then Ehud261 went3318 forth3318 through the porch,4528 and shut5462 the doors1817 of the parlor5944 on him, and locked5274 them.
|
|
24 Da er nun hinaus3318 war5274, kamen935 seine Knechte5650 hinein und sahen, daß die Tür1817 der Sommerlaube verschlossen war, und sprachen559: Er ist7272 vielleicht zu Stuhl gegangen5526 in der Kammer4747 an7200 der Sommerlaube.

24 When he was gone3318 out, his servants5650 came;935 and when they saw7200 that, behold,2009 the doors1817 of the parlor5944 were locked,5274 they said,559 Surely389 he covers5526 his feet7272 in his summer4747 chamber.2315

25 Da sie aber so lange harreten, bis sie sich2342 schämeten (denn niemand tat6605 die Tür1817 der Laube5944 auf6605), nahmen3947 sie den Schlüssel4668 und schlossen auf; siehe, da lag5307 ihr Herr113 auf der Erde776 tot4191.
|
25 And they tarried2342 till5704 they were ashamed:954 and, behold,2009 he opened6605 not the doors1817 of the parlor;5944 therefore they took3947 a key,4668 and opened6605 them: and, behold,2009 their lord113 was fallen5307 down dead4191 on the earth.776

26 Ehud164 aber war entronnen4422, dieweil sie verzogen4102, und ging vor den Götzen6456 über5674 und entrann4422 bis gen Seirath.
|
26 And Ehud261 escaped4422 while5704 they tarried,4102 and passed5674 beyond5674 the quarries,6456 and escaped4422 to Seirath.8167

|
27 Und da er8628 hineinkam, blies er die Posaune7782 auf6440 dem Gebirge2022 Ephraim669. Und die Kinder1121 Israel3478 zogen3381 mit ihm vom Gebirge2022, und er vor ihnen her935;
|
27 And it came1961 to pass, when he was come,935 that he blew8628 a trumpet7782 in the mountain2022 of Ephraim,669 and the children1121 of Israel3478 went3381 down3381 with him from the mount,2022 and he before6440 them.

|
28 und sprach559 zu ihnen: Jaget mir nach7291; denn der HErr3068 hat euch310 die Moabiter4124, eure Feinde341, in eure Hände3027 gegeben5414. Und sie5414 jagten3381 ihm nach310 und gewannen3920 die Furt4569 am Jordan3383 ein376, die gen Moab4124 gehet5674, und ließen niemand hinübergehen.

28 And he said559 to them, Follow7291 after310 me: for the LORD3068 has delivered5414 your enemies341 the Moabites4124 into your hand.3027 And they went3381 down3381 after310 him, and took3920 the fords4569 of Jordan3383 toward Moab,4124 and suffered5414 not a man376 to pass5674 over.5674

29 Und376 schlugen5221 die Moabiter4124 zu der Zeit6256, bei zehntausend6235 Mann376, allzumal die besten8082 und streitbare2428 Männer, daß nicht einer376 entrann4422.
|
29 And they slew5221 of Moab4124 at that time6256 about ten6235 thousand505 men,376 all3605 lusty,8082 and all3605 men376 of valor;2428 and there escaped4422 not a man.376
|
|
30 Also wurden die Moabiter4124 zu der Zeit3117 unter die Hand3027 der Kinder Israel3478 gedämpfet. Und das Land776 war8252 stille achtzig8084 Jahre8141.
|
30 So Moab4124 was subdued3665 that day3117 under8478 the hand3027 of Israel.3478 And the land776 had rest8252 fourscore8084 years.8141
|
|
31 Danach war Samgar8044, der Sohn1121 Anaths6067; der schlug5221 sechshundert8337 Philister6430 mit einem Ochsenstecken1241 und310 erlösete auch Israel3478.
|
31 And after310 him was Shamgar8044 the son1121 of Anath,6067 which slew5221 of the Philistines6430 six8337 hundred3967 men376 with an ox1241 goad:4451 and he also1571 delivered3467 Israel.3478
