Chapter 55

1 Ho,1945 every3605 one that thirsts,6771 come3212 you to the waters,4325 and he that has no369 money;3701 come3212 you, buy,7666 and eat;398 yes, come,3212 buy7666 wine3196 and milk2461 without3808 money3701 and without3808 price.4242

2 Why4100 do you spend8254 money3701 for that which is not bread?3899 and your labor3018 for that which satisfies7654 not? listen8085 diligently to me, and eat398 you that which is good,2896 and let your soul5315 delight6026 itself in fatness.1880

3 Incline5186 your ear,241 and come3212 to me: hear,8085 and your soul5315 shall live;2421 and I will make3772 an everlasting5769 covenant1285 with you, even the sure539 mercies2617 of David.1732

4 Behold,2005 I have given5414 him for a witness5707 to the people,3816 a leader5057 and commander6680 to the people.3816

5 Behold,2005 you shall call7121 a nation1471 that you know3045 not, and nations1471 that knew3045 not you shall run7323 to you because4616 of the LORD3068 your God,430 and for the Holy6918 One of Israel;3478 for he has glorified6286 you.

6 Seek1875 you the LORD3068 while he may be found,4672 call7121 you on him while he is near:7138

7 Let the wicked7563 forsake5800 his way,1870 and the unrighteous205 man376 his thoughts:4284 and let him return7725 to the LORD,3068 and he will have mercy7355 on him; and to our God,430 for he will abundantly7235 pardon.5545

8 For my thoughts4284 are not your thoughts,4284 neither3808 are your ways1870 my ways,1870 said5002 the LORD.3068

9 For as the heavens8064 are higher1361 than the earth,776 so3651 are my ways1870 higher1361 than your ways,1870 and my thoughts4284 than your thoughts.4284

2 爾以金市者、不足以果腹、勞而得者、不足以饜心、是誠何故歟。爾謹聽我言、可飫嘉餚、可食肥甘、而心悅懌。

3 我之所云、宜傾耳以聽、歸誠於我、則可得生、我與爾立永約、昔我許大闢、錫以實惠、今將賜汝、

4 我立受膏者爲師、俾作民長、秉國之鈞。

5 異邦人素未之識、必蒙其召、趨而就焉、蓋我耶和華、以色列族之聖主、卽彼之上帝、使彼得榮光。

6 先知曰、耶和華離民不遠、將加眷顧、爾當乘時祈求。

7 作惡者流、當改其行、寢其謀、歸誠耶和華我之上帝、蓋彼矜恤爲懷、必赦宥之。

8 耶和華曰、我所思所爲、與爾比擬、相去奚啻霄壤、我所思所爲、高出於爾遠矣。

9 併於上節

10 譬諸雨雪、自天降者不能復歸於上、潤澤土壤、使之萌芽結實、耕者以爲種、饑者以爲食、

11 我言旣出、非徒然也、必成我旨、行我意。

12 我導爾出、以享平康、必欣然以往、山岡緣爾謳歌、林木爲爾鼓掌。

13 松柏挺生、以代叢棘、岡拈秀發、以代荊榛、我耶和華留其異蹟於後、永爲記誌、歷世勿替。
