Chapter 2

1 Thus the heavens8064 and the earth776 were finished,3615 and all3605 the host6635 of them.

2 And on the seventh7637 day3117 God430 ended3615 his work4399 which834 he had made;6213 and he rested7673 on the seventh7637 day3117 from all3605 his work4399 which834 he had made.6213

3 And God430 blessed1288 the seventh7637 day,3117 and sanctified6942 it: because3588 that in it he had rested7673 from all3605 his work4399 which834 God430 created1254 and made.6213

4 These428 are the generations8435 of the heavens8064 and of the earth776 when they were created,1254 in the day3117 that the LORD3068 God430 made6213 the earth776 and the heavens,8064

5 And every3605 plant7880 of the field7704 before2962 it was in the earth,776 and every3605 herb6212 of the field7704 before2962 it grew:6779 for the LORD3068 God430 had not caused it to rain4305 on the earth,776 and there was not a man120 to till5647 the ground.127

6 But there went5927 up a mist108 from the earth,776 and watered8248 the whole854 3605 face6440 of the ground.127

7 And the LORD3068 God430 formed3335 man120 of the dust6083 of the ground,127 and breathed5301 into his nostrils639 the breath5397 of life;2416 and man120 became1961 a living2416 soul.5315

8 And the LORD3068 God430 planted5193 a garden1588 eastward6924 in Eden;5731 and there8033 he put7760 the man120 whom834 he had formed.3335

9 And out of the ground127 made the LORD3068 God430 to grow6779 every3605 tree6086 that is pleasant2530 to the sight,4758 and good2896 for food;3978 the tree6086 of life2416 also in the middle8432 of the garden,1588 and the tree6086 of knowledge1847 of good2896 and evil.7451

10 And a river5104 went3318 out of Eden5731 to water8248 the garden;1588 and from there8033 it was parted,6504 and became1961 into four702 heads.7218

11 The name8034 of the first259 is Pison:6376 that is it which compasses5437 the whole854 3605 land776 of Havilah,2341 where834 8033 there is gold;2091

12 And the gold2091 of that land776 is good:2896 there8033 is bdellium916 and the onyx7718 stone.68

13 And the name8034 of the second8145 river5104 is Gihon:1521 the same1931 is it that compasses5437 the whole854 3605 land776 of Ethiopia.3568

14 And the name8034 of the third7992 river5104 is Hiddekel:2313 that is it which goes1980 toward the east6926 of Assyria.804 And the fourth7243 river5104 is Euphrates.6578

15 And the LORD3068 God430 took3947 the man,120 and put3240 him into the garden1588 of Eden5731 to dress5647 it and to keep8104 it.

16 And the LORD3068 God430 commanded6680 the man,120 saying,559 Of every3605 tree6086 of the garden1588 you may freely eat:398

17 But of the tree6086 of the knowledge1847 of good2896 and evil,7451 you shall not eat398 of it: for in the day3117 that you eat398 thereof you shall surely die.4191

18 And the LORD3068 God430 said,559 It is not good2896 that the man120 should be alone;905 I will make6213 him an help5828 meet5048 for him.

19 And out of the ground127 the LORD3068 God430 formed3335 every beast2416 of the field,7704 and every3605 fowl5775 of the air;8064 and brought935 them to Adam120 to see7200 what4100 he would call7121 them: and whatever3605 834 Adam120 called7121 every3605 living2416 creature,5315 that was the name8034 thereof.

20 And Adam120 gave7121 names8034 to all3605 cattle,929 and to the fowl5775 of the air,8064 and to every3605 beast2416 of the field;7704 but for Adam120 there was not found4672 an help5828 meet5828 for him.

21 And the LORD3068 God430 caused a deep8639 sleep3462 to fall5307 on Adam,121 and he slept:3462 and he took3947 one259 of his ribs,6763 and closed5462 up the flesh1320 instead8478 thereof;

22 And the rib,6763 which834 the LORD3068 God430 had taken3947 from man,120 made1129 he a woman,802 and brought935 her to the man.120

23 And Adam120 said,559 This2063 is now6471 bone6106 of my bones,6106 and flesh1320 of my flesh:1320 she shall be called7121 Woman,802 because3588 she was taken3947 out of Man.376

24 Therefore5921 3651 shall a man376 leave5800 his father1 and his mother,517 and shall join1692 to his wife:802 and they shall be one259 flesh.1320

25 And they were both8147 naked,6174 the man120 and his wife,802 and were not ashamed.954

1 Так были созданы небо, земля и всё, что в красе своей наполняло их.

2 К седьмому дню окончил Бог тот труд, который совершал Он; и в день седьмой уже не делал всего того, что совершал прежде.

3 Благословил Бог день седьмой и освятил его, ибо в этот день Он в покое пребывал после тех дел, которые при сотворении совершал.

4 ВОТ РАССКАЗ О НЕБЕ И ЗЕМЛЕ ПРИ ИХ СОТВОРЕНИИ. Когда ГОСПОДЬ Бог создал землю и небо,

5 на земле не было дикого кустарника, не было ничего дикорастущего, ведь и дождя ГОСПОДЬ Бог еще не посылал на землю, и не было человека, чтобы ее возделывать.

6 Пар поднимался с земли и орошал всю поверхность ее.

7 ГОСПОДЬ Бог создал человека из праха земного и вдохнул в него дыхание жизни, и стал тот твореньем живым.

8 Насадил ГОСПОДЬ Бог сад на востоке, в Эдеме, и там поселил человека, которого создал.

9 Из земли по изволению ГОСПОДА Бога выросли всякие деревья, приятные на вид и с пригодными в пищу плодами, а посреди сада — дерево жизни и дерево познания добра и зла.

10 Из Эдема, орошая его, текла река, и далее она разделялась на четыре реки.

11 Название первой — Пишон; она течет вокруг всей земли Хавила, той самой, где есть золото.

12 (Золото той земли хорошее; есть там и благовония, и драгоценный камень оникс.)

13 Название второй реки Гихон, она течет вокруг всей земли Куш.

14 Название третьей реки Тигр, она течет к востоку от Ассирии. Четвертая река — Евфрат.

15 ГОСПОДЬ Бог сделал всё для благополучия человека в Эдемском саду, за которым тот должен был ухаживать и который должен был беречь.

16 И тогда Господь Бог дал такую заповедь человеку: «Ты можешь есть плоды любого дерева в саду,

17 но не с дерева познания добра и зла. Не ешь его плодов, ибо в тот же день, как отведаешь их, непременно умрешь».

18 И сказал ГОСПОДЬ Бог: «Нехорошо человеку быть одному, в помощь ему сотворю Я того, кто будет ему под стать».

19 Привел ГОСПОДЬ Бог к человеку созданных Им из земли всевозможных животных, что на суше обитают, и птиц, что по небу летают, чтобы посмотреть, как человек их назовет: они должны были получить от него свои имена.

20 Человек дал имена скоту всякому, имена птицам под небом, имена диким зверям — но для него не нашлось помощника, который был бы ему под стать.

21 Тогда ГОСПОДЬ Бог навел глубокий сон на человека, и как только тот уснул, вынул у него ребро и закрыл плотью место, где оно было.

22 Из того самого ребра создал ГОСПОДЬ Бог женщину и привел ее к человеку.

23 И воскликнул человек: «Наконец! Кость от кости моей и плоть от плоти моей! Женщиной она называться будет, ибо взята из мужчины».

24 Поэтому отца и мать оставляет мужчина, соединяясь с женою своей, — двое плотью единой становятся.

25 И Адам, и жена его были наги, но не стыдились.

3 And God430 blessed1288 the seventh7637 day,3117 and sanctified6942 it: because3588 that in it he had rested7673 from all3605 his work4399 which834 God430 created1254 and made.6213

3 Благословил Бог день седьмой и освятил его, ибо в этот день Он в покое пребывал после тех дел, которые при сотворении совершал.

4 ВОТ РАССКАЗ О НЕБЕ И ЗЕМЛЕ ПРИ ИХ СОТВОРЕНИИ. Когда ГОСПОДЬ Бог создал землю и небо,

5 And every3605 plant7880 of the field7704 before2962 it was in the earth,776 and every3605 herb6212 of the field7704 before2962 it grew:6779 for the LORD3068 God430 had not caused it to rain4305 on the earth,776 and there was not a man120 to till5647 the ground.127

5 на земле не было дикого кустарника, не было ничего дикорастущего, ведь и дождя ГОСПОДЬ Бог еще не посылал на землю, и не было человека, чтобы ее возделывать.

6 But there went5927 up a mist108 from the earth,776 and watered8248 the whole854 3605 face6440 of the ground.127

6 Пар поднимался с земли и орошал всю поверхность ее.

7 And the LORD3068 God430 formed3335 man120 of the dust6083 of the ground,127 and breathed5301 into his nostrils639 the breath5397 of life;2416 and man120 became1961 a living2416 soul.5315

7 ГОСПОДЬ Бог создал человека из праха земного и вдохнул в него дыхание жизни, и стал тот твореньем живым.

8 Насадил ГОСПОДЬ Бог сад на востоке, в Эдеме, и там поселил человека, которого создал.

9 Из земли по изволению ГОСПОДА Бога выросли всякие деревья, приятные на вид и с пригодными в пищу плодами, а посреди сада — дерево жизни и дерево познания добра и зла.

10 And a river5104 went3318 out of Eden5731 to water8248 the garden;1588 and from there8033 it was parted,6504 and became1961 into four702 heads.7218

10 Из Эдема, орошая его, текла река, и далее она разделялась на четыре реки.

11 The name8034 of the first259 is Pison:6376 that is it which compasses5437 the whole854 3605 land776 of Havilah,2341 where834 8033 there is gold;2091

11 Название первой — Пишон; она течет вокруг всей земли Хавила, той самой, где есть золото.

12 And the gold2091 of that land776 is good:2896 there8033 is bdellium916 and the onyx7718 stone.68

15 ГОСПОДЬ Бог сделал всё для благополучия человека в Эдемском саду, за которым тот должен был ухаживать и который должен был беречь.

16 And the LORD3068 God430 commanded6680 the man,120 saying,559 Of every3605 tree6086 of the garden1588 you may freely eat:398

16 И тогда Господь Бог дал такую заповедь человеку: «Ты можешь есть плоды любого дерева в саду,

17 But of the tree6086 of the knowledge1847 of good2896 and evil,7451 you shall not eat398 of it: for in the day3117 that you eat398 thereof you shall surely die.4191

17 но не с дерева познания добра и зла. Не ешь его плодов, ибо в тот же день, как отведаешь их, непременно умрешь».

18 And the LORD3068 God430 said,559 It is not good2896 that the man120 should be alone;905 I will make6213 him an help5828 meet5048 for him.

18 И сказал ГОСПОДЬ Бог: «Нехорошо человеку быть одному, в помощь ему сотворю Я того, кто будет ему под стать».

19 And out of the ground127 the LORD3068 God430 formed3335 every beast2416 of the field,7704 and every3605 fowl5775 of the air;8064 and brought935 them to Adam120 to see7200 what4100 he would call7121 them: and whatever3605 834 Adam120 called7121 every3605 living2416 creature,5315 that was the name8034 thereof.

19 Привел ГОСПОДЬ Бог к человеку созданных Им из земли всевозможных животных, что на суше обитают, и птиц, что по небу летают, чтобы посмотреть, как человек их назовет: они должны были получить от него свои имена.

20 And Adam120 gave7121 names8034 to all3605 cattle,929 and to the fowl5775 of the air,8064 and to every3605 beast2416 of the field;7704 but for Adam120 there was not found4672 an help5828 meet5828 for him.

20 Человек дал имена скоту всякому, имена птицам под небом, имена диким зверям — но для него не нашлось помощника, который был бы ему под стать.

22 Из того самого ребра создал ГОСПОДЬ Бог женщину и привел ее к человеку.

23 И воскликнул человек: «Наконец! Кость от кости моей и плоть от плоти моей! Женщиной она называться будет, ибо взята из мужчины».
