1 Now Jericho3405 was straightly shut5462 up because6440 of the children1121 of Israel:3478 none369 went3318 out, and none369 came935 in.

2 And the LORD3068 said559 to Joshua,3091 See,7200 I have given5414 into your hand3027 Jericho,3405 and the king4428 thereof, and the mighty1368 men of valor.2428

3 And you shall compass5437 the city,5892 all3605 you men582 of war,4421 and go5362 round5362 about the city5892 once.259 Thus3541 shall you do6213 six8337 days.3117

4 And seven7651 priests3548 shall bear5375 before6440 the ark727 seven7651 trumpets7782 of rams'3104 horns:3104 and the seventh7637 day3117 you shall compass5437 the city5892 seven7651 times,6471 and the priests3548 shall blow8628 with the trumpets.7782

5 And it shall come1961 to pass, that when they make a long4900 blast with the ram's3104 horn,7161 and when you hear8085 the sound6963 of the trumpet,7782 all3605 the people5971 shall shout7321 with a great1419 shout;8643 and the wall2346 of the city5892 shall fall5307 down flat,8478 and the people5971 shall ascend5927 up every man376 straight before5048 him.

6 And Joshua3091 the son1121 of Nun5126 called7121 the priests,3548 and said559 to them, Take5375 up the ark727 of the covenant,1285 and let seven7651 priests3548 bear5375 seven7651 trumpets7782 of rams'3104 horns3104 before6440 the ark727 of the LORD.3068

7 And he said559 to the people,5971 Pass5674 on, and compass5437 the city,5892 and let him that is armed2502 pass5674 on413 before6440 the ark of the LORD.3068

8 And it came1961 to pass, when Joshua3091 had spoken559 to the people,5971 that the seven7651 priests3548 bearing5375 the seven7651 trumpets7782 of rams'3104 horns3104 passed5674 on413 before6440 the LORD,3068 and blew8628 with the trumpets:7782 and the ark727 of the covenant1285 of the LORD3068 followed1980 310 them.

9 And the armed2502 men went1980 before6440 the priests3548 that blew8628 with the trumpets,7782 and the rear guard622 came1980 after310 the ark,727 the priests3548 going1980 on, and blowing8628 with the trumpets.7782

10 And Joshua3091 had commanded6680 the people,5971 saying,559 You shall not shout,7321 nor3808 make any noise8085 with your voice,6963 neither3808 shall any word1697 proceed3318 out of your mouth,6310 until5704 the day3117 I bid559 you shout;7321 then shall you shout.7321

11 So the ark727 of the LORD3068 compassed5437 the city,5892 going5362 about5362 it once:259 and they came935 into the camp,4264 and lodged3885 in the camp.4264

12 And Joshua3091 rose7925 early7925 in the morning,1242 and the priests3548 took5375 up the ark727 of the LORD.3068

13 And seven7651 priests bearing5375 seven7651 trumpets7782 of rams'3104 horns3104 before6440 the ark727 of the LORD3068 went1980 on413 continually,1980 and blew8628 with the trumpets:7782 and the armed2502 men went1980 before6440 them; but the rear guard622 came1980 after310 the ark727 of the LORD,3068 the priests3548 going1980 on,413 and blowing8628 with the trumpets.7782

14 And the second8145 day3117 they compassed5437 the city5892 once,259 and returned7725 into the camp:4264 so3541 they did6213 six8337 days.3117

15 And it came1961 to pass on the seventh7637 day,3117 that they rose7925 early7925 about the dawning5927 of the day,7837 and compassed5437 the city5892 after the same2088 manner4941 seven7651 times:6471 only7535 on that day3117 they compassed5437 the city5892 seven7651 times.6471

16 And it came1961 to pass at the seventh7637 time,6471 when the priests3548 blew8628 with the trumpets,7782 Joshua3091 said559 to the people,5971 Shout;7321 for the LORD3068 has given5414 you the city.5892

17 And the city5892 shall be accursed,2764 even it, and all3605 that are therein, to the LORD:3068 only7535 Rahab7343 the harlot2181 shall live,2421 she and all3605 that are with her in the house,1004 because3588 she hid2244 the messengers4397 that we sent.7971

18 And you, in any wise keep8104 yourselves from the accursed2764 thing, lest6435 you make yourselves accursed,2763 when you take3947 of the accursed2764 thing, and make7760 the camp4264 of Israel3478 a curse,2764 and trouble5916 it.

19 But all3605 the silver,3701 and gold,2091 and vessels3627 of brass5178 and iron,1270 are consecrated6944 to the LORD:3068 they shall come935 into the treasury214 of the LORD.3068

20 So the people5971 shouted7321 when the priests3548 blew8628 with the trumpets:7782 and it came1961 to pass, when the people5971 heard8085 the sound6963 of the trumpet,7782 and the people5971 shouted7321 with a great1419 shout,8643 that the wall2346 fell5307 down flat,8478 so that the people5971 went5927 up into the city,5892 every man376 straight before5048 him, and they took3920 the city.5892

21 And they utterly destroyed2763 all3605 that was in the city,5892 both man376 and woman,802 young5288 and old,2205 and ox,7794 and sheep,7716 and ass,2543 with the edge6310 of the sword.2719

22 But Joshua3091 had said559 to the two8147 men582 that had spied7270 out the country,776 Go935 into the harlot's2181 house,1004 and bring3318 out there8033 the woman,802 and all3605 that she has, as you swore7650 to her.

23 And the young5288 men that were spies7270 went935 in, and brought3318 out Rahab,7343 and her father,1 and her mother,517 and her brothers,251 and all3605 that she had; and they brought3318 out all3605 her kindred,4940 and left5117 them without2351 the camp4264 of Israel.3478

24 And they burnt8313 the city5892 with fire,784 and all3605 that was therein: only7535 the silver,3701 and the gold,2091 and the vessels3627 of brass5178 and of iron,1270 they put5414 into the treasury214 of the house1004 of the LORD.3068

25 And Joshua3091 saved2421 Rahab7343 the harlot2181 alive,2421 and her father's1 household,1004 and all3605 that she had; and she dwells3427 in Israel3478 even to this2088 day;3117 because3588 she hid2244 the messengers,4397 which834 Joshua3091 sent7971 to spy7270 out Jericho.3405

26 And Joshua3091 adjured7650 them at that time,6256 saying,559 Cursed779 be the man376 before6440 the LORD,3068 that rises6965 up and builds1129 this2063 city5892 Jericho:3405 he shall lay the foundation3245 thereof in his firstborn,1060 and in his youngest6810 son shall he set5324 up the gates1817 of it.

27 So the LORD3068 was with Joshua;3091 and his fame8089 was noised throughout all3605 the country.776

2 Шесть дней подряд, один раз в день все ваши воины должны совершать обход вокруг города.

3 Пусть при этом семь священников несут перед ковчегом семь рогов, идя впереди. А на седьмой день совершите обход вокруг города семь раз, и каждый священник пусть трубит в рог.

4 Как только священники затрубят в рога и вы услышите этот трубный звук, пусть все воины издадут боевой клич. Рухнет тогда городская стена, и всё войско ворвется в город, каждый воин прямо с той стороны, где он стоит».

5 Собрал Иисус Навин священников и сказал им: «Поднимите ковчег Завета, и пусть семеро из вас пойдут перед ковчегом ГОСПОДНИМ, неся семь рогов».

6 А воинам своим он сказал: «Идите вокруг города, а перед ковчегом ГОСПОДНИМ пусть идет отряд вооруженных воинов!»

7 И когда сказал это Иисус, семь священников, несших перед ковчегом ГОСПОДА семь рогов, пошли вперед, трубя. Ковчег Завета ГОСПОДНЕГО несли за ними.

8 Передовой отряд воинов шел перед трубившими священниками, и за ковчегом следовал другой отряд, при этом всё время трубили рога.

9 Но воинам своим Иисус повелел: «Клича боевого не издавайте, пусть даже голоса вашего не будет слышно, ни слова не говорите до того дня, пока не прикажу вам, и вот тогда во весь голос кричите».

10 Так понесли они ковчег ГОСПОДЕНЬ вокруг города и обошли Иерихон один раз, а затем возвратились в свой стан на ночлег.

11 На другой день Иисус встал рано поутру, и священники вновь понесли ковчег Завета Господня.

12 Семь священников, как и прежде, несли перед ковчегом ГОСПОДНИМ семь рогов и трубили в них. Перед ними шел передовой отряд воинов, а остальные — позади ковчега ГОСПОДНЯ, при этом всё время трубили рога.

13 Во второй день израильтяне так же обошли город, как и в первый, и после того возвратились в свой стан. Так делали они шесть дней подряд.

14 На седьмой же день поднялись они на рассвете и семь раз обошли город. (Только в седьмой день обошли они город семь раз.)

15 В седьмой раз, когда священники затрубили в рога, Иисус воззвал ко всему войску: «Поднимите боевой клич! Отдал вам ГОСПОДЬ этот город!

16 Но помните, Иерихон: город и всё, что в нем, — заклятию ГОСПОДНЕМУ предан: он должен быть уничтожен! В живых оставьте только Рахав, продажную женщину, и всех, кто в доме ее, потому что она укрыла посланников наших.

17 Сами же остерегайтесь всего, что заклятию предано, ведь если возьмете что-либо заклятое, оно обернется против вас: и себя на погибель обречете, и на стан израильский навлечете беду.

18 А серебро и золото, предметы медные и железные — всё это должно быть посвящено ГОСПОДУ, всё должно войти в сокровищницу Его».

19 Пронесся по войску клич, когда затрубили священники в рога. Лишь только услышали воины этот трубный звук, они вновь подняли боевой клич, и рухнула стена. Устремились тогда воины в город, каждый со своей стороны, и захватили его;

20 жителей города и всё, что в нем было, полностью уничтожили, предав заклятию: мужчин и женщин, малых и старых, вместе с их быками, овцами, козами и ослами — всех истребили мечом.

21 А двум лазутчикам, что ходили в ту страну на разведку, Иисус сказал: «Ступайте в дом той продажной женщины и сдержите свою клятву: выведите ее и всех, кто будет с ней, из дома».

22 Те юноши-лазутчики зашли в ее дом и вывели из него Рахав вместе с ее отцом, матерью, братьями и всеми домочадцами. Вывели они всю эту семью из города и разместили неподалеку от стана израильского.

23 Город же и всё, что было в нем, воины израильские сожгли дотла, оставив лишь серебро и золото, предметы медные и железные, которые отнесли в сокровищницу Храма ГОСПОДНЕГО.

24 Лишь Рахав, и семью ее, и всех ее домочадцев оставил Иисус в живых, ведь укрыла она тех, кого отправил он осмотреть Иерихон (по сей день живут они среди израильтян).

25 В то время изрек Иисус такое проклятье: «Проклят перед ГОСПОДОМ будет тот, кто решит отстроить сей город Иерихон: первенцем своим поплатится, заложив основание его, сыном младшим — поставив городские ворота».

26 ГОСПОДЬ был с Иисусом, и слух о нем разнесся по всей земле той.

16 Но помните, Иерихон: город и всё, что в нем, — заклятию ГОСПОДНЕМУ предан: он должен быть уничтожен! В живых оставьте только Рахав, продажную женщину, и всех, кто в доме ее, потому что она укрыла посланников наших.

23 And the young5288 men that were spies7270 went935 in, and brought3318 out Rahab,7343 and her father,1 and her mother,517 and her brothers,251 and all3605 that she had; and they brought3318 out all3605 her kindred,4940 and left5117 them without2351 the camp4264 of Israel.3478

23 Город же и всё, что было в нем, воины израильские сожгли дотла, оставив лишь серебро и золото, предметы медные и железные, которые отнесли в сокровищницу Храма ГОСПОДНЕГО.

24 Лишь Рахав, и семью ее, и всех ее домочадцев оставил Иисус в живых, ведь укрыла она тех, кого отправил он осмотреть Иерихон (по сей день живут они среди израильтян).
