2 And saying,3004 Repent3340 you: for the kingdom932 of heaven3772 is at1448 hand.1448

3 For this3778 is he that was spoken4483 of by the prophet4396 Esaias,2268 saying,3004 The voice5456 of one crying994 in the wilderness,2048 Prepare2090 you the way3598 of the Lord,2962 make4160 his paths5147 straight.2117

4 And the same846 John2491 had2192 his raiment1742 of camel's2574 hair,2359 and a leather1193 girdle2223 about4012 his loins;3751 and his meat5160 was locusts200 and wild66 honey.3192

5 Then5119 went1607 out to him Jerusalem,2414 and all3956 Judaea,2449 and all3956 the region4066 round4066 about4066 Jordan,2446

6 And were baptized907 of him in Jordan,2446 confessing1843 their sins.266

7 But when he saw1492 many4183 of the Pharisees5330 and Sadducees4523 come2064 to his baptism,908 he said2036 to them, O generation1081 of vipers,2191 who5101 has warned5263 you to flee5343 from the wrath3709 to come?3195

8 Bring4160 forth4160 therefore3767 fruits2590 meet514 for repentance:3341

9 And think1380 not to say3004 within1722 yourselves,1438 We have2192 Abraham11 to our father:3962 for I say3004 to you, that God2316 is able1410 of these5130 stones3037 to raise1453 up children5043 to Abraham.11

11 I indeed3303 baptize907 you with water5204 to repentance.3341 but he that comes2064 after3694 me is mightier2478 than I, whose3739 shoes5266 I am1510 not worthy2425 to bear:941 he shall baptize907 you with the Holy40 Ghost,4151 and with fire:4442

12 Whose3739 fan4425 is in his hand,5495 and he will thoroughly1245 purge1245 his floor,257 and gather4863 his wheat4621 into1519 the garner;596 but he will burn2618 up the chaff892 with unquenchable762 fire.4442

13 Then5119 comes3854 Jesus2424 from Galilee1056 to Jordan2446 to John,2491 to be baptized907 of him.

14 But John2491 forbade1254 him, saying,3004 I have2192 need5532 to be baptized907 of you, and come2064 you to me?

15 And Jesus2424 answering611 said2036 to him, Suffer863 it to be so now:737 for thus3779 it becomes4241 us to fulfill4137 all3956 righteousness.1343 Then5119 he suffered863 him.

16 And Jesus,2424 when he was baptized,907 went305 up straightway2117 out of the water:5204 and, see,2400 the heavens3772 were opened455 to him, and he saw1492 the Spirit4151 of God2316 descending2597 like5616 a dove,4058 and lighting2064 on him:

17 And see2400 a voice5456 from heaven,3772 saying,3004 This3778 is my beloved27 Son,5207 in whom3739 I am well2106 pleased.2106

Глава 3

1 В те дни пророк Яхия начал проповедовать в Иудейской пустыне.

2 – Покайтесь! – говорил он. – Потому что Всевышний уже устанавливает Своё Царство!

3 Яхия был тем самым человеком, о котором говорил пророк Исаия:
«Голос раздаётся в пустыне:„Приготовьте путь Вечному, сделайте прямыми дороги Его!“»

4 Яхия носил одежду из верблюжьей шерсти и подпоясывался кожаным поясом. Пищей ему служили саранча и дикий мёд.

5 К нему приходил народ из Иерусалима, со всей Иудеи и из окрестностей реки Иордана.

6 Они открыто признавали свои грехи, и Яхия в Иордане совершал над ними обряд погружения в воду. .

7 Увидев блюстителей Закона и саддукеев, . идущих к нему, чтобы пройти обряд погружения в воду, Яхия сказал: – Вы, змеиное отродье! Кто предупредил вас, чтобы вы бежали от грядущего возмездия Всевышнего?

8 Делами докажите искренность вашего покаяния.

9 Не думайте, что вы избежите наказания только потому, что вы «дети Ибрахима». Говорю вам, что Всевышний может и из этих камней сотворить детей Ибрахиму.

10 Уже и топор лежит у корня деревьев, и всякое дерево, не приносящее хорошего плода, будет срублено и брошено в огонь.

11 Я совершаю над вами обряд, погружая вас в воду, как знак того, что вы покаялись, но после меня придёт Тот, Кто могущественнее меня, я даже не достоин нести Его сандалии. Он будет погружать вас в Святого Духа и в огонь. .

12 У Него в руках лопата, которой Он будет провеивать зерно на току; Свою пшеницу Он соберёт в хранилище, а мякину сожжёт в неугасимом огне.

13 И вот из Галилеи к Иордану пришёл Иса, чтобы пройти обряд погружения в воду у Яхии.

14 Яхия пытался отговорить Его: – Это мне нужно принять этот обряд от Тебя, зачем же Ты пришёл ко мне?

15 Но Иса ответил: – Пусть сейчас будет так. Нам следует исполнить всё, что требует Всевышний. Тогда Яхия согласился.

16 Иса, пройдя данный обряд, тотчас вышел из воды, и вот, раскрылись небеса, и Он увидел Духа Всевышнего, спускающегося в образе голубя и садящегося на Него.

17 И вот, голос с небес, говорящий: – Это Мой Сын (Избранный Мной Царь), Которого Я люблю, в Нём Моя радость!

9 Не думайте, что вы избежите наказания только потому, что вы «дети Ибрахима». Говорю вам, что Всевышний может и из этих камней сотворить детей Ибрахиму.

10 Уже и топор лежит у корня деревьев, и всякое дерево, не приносящее хорошего плода, будет срублено и брошено в огонь.

16 Иса, пройдя данный обряд, тотчас вышел из воды, и вот, раскрылись небеса, и Он увидел Духа Всевышнего, спускающегося в образе голубя и садящегося на Него.

17 And see2400 a voice5456 from heaven,3772 saying,3004 This3778 is my beloved27 Son,5207 in whom3739 I am well2106 pleased.2106

17 И вот, голос с небес, говорящий: – Это Мой Сын (Избранный Мной Царь), Которого Я люблю, в Нём Моя радость!
