1 Then came935 the children1121 of Israel,3478 even6153 the whole3605 congregation,5712 into the desert4057 of Zin6790 in the first7223 month:2320 and the people5971 stayed3427 in Kadesh;6946 and Miriam4813 died4191 there,8033 and was buried6912 there.8033

2 And there was no3808 water4325 for the congregation:5712 and they gathered6950 themselves together against5921 Moses4872 and against5921 Aaron.175

3 And the people5971 strived7378 with Moses,4872 and spoke,559 saying,559 Would3863 God that we had died1478 when our brothers251 died1478 before6440 the LORD!3068

4 And why4100 have you brought935 up the congregation6951 of the LORD3068 into413 this2088 wilderness,4057 that we and our cattle1165 should die4191 there?8033

5 And why4100 have you made us to come5927 up out of Egypt,4714 to bring935 us in to this2088 evil7451 place?4725 it is no3808 place4725 of seed,2233 or of figs,8384 or of vines,1612 or of pomegranates;7416 neither369 is there any water4325 to drink.8354

6 And Moses4872 and Aaron175 went935 from the presence6440 of the assembly6951 to the door6607 of the tabernacle168 of the congregation,4150 and they fell5307 on their faces:6440 and the glory3519 of the LORD3068 appeared7200 to them.

7 And the LORD3068 spoke1696 to Moses,4872 saying,559

8 Take3947 the rod,4294 and gather6950 you the assembly5712 together, you, and Aaron175 your brother,251 and speak1696 you to the rock5553 before their eyes;5869 and it shall give5414 forth his water,4325 and you shall bring3318 forth3318 to them water4325 out of the rock:5553 so you shall give the congregation5712 and their beasts1165 drink.8248

9 And Moses4872 took3947 the rod4294 from before6440 the LORD,3068 as he commanded6680 him.

10 And Moses4872 and Aaron175 gathered6950 the congregation6951 together before413 6440 the rock,5553 and he said559 to them, Hear8085 now,4994 you rebels;4784 must we fetch3318 you water4325 out of this2088 rock?5553

11 And Moses4872 lifted7311 up his hand,3027 and with his rod4294 he smote5221 the rock5553 twice:6471 and the water4325 came3318 out abundantly,7227 and the congregation5712 drank, and their beasts1165 also.

12 And the LORD3068 spoke559 to Moses4872 and Aaron,175 Because3282 you believed539 me not, to sanctify6942 me in the eyes5869 of the children1121 of Israel,3478 therefore3651 you shall not bring935 this2088 congregation6951 into413 the land776 which834 I have given5414 them.

13 This1992 is the water4325 of Meribah;4809 because834 the children1121 of Israel3478 strove7378 with the LORD,3068 and he was sanctified6942 in them.

14 And Moses4872 sent7971 messengers4397 from Kadesh6946 to the king4428 of Edom,123 Thus3541 said559 your brother251 Israel,3478 You know3045 all3605 the travail8513 that has befallen4672 us:

15 How our fathers1 went3381 down3381 into Egypt,4714 and we have dwelled3427 in Egypt4714 a long7227 time;3117 and the Egyptians4714 vexed7489 us, and our fathers:1

16 And when we cried6817 to the LORD,3068 he heard8085 our voice,6963 and sent7971 an angel,4397 and has brought3318 us forth3318 out of Egypt:4714 and, behold,2009 we are in Kadesh,6946 a city5892 in the uttermost7097 of your border:1366

17 Let us pass,5674 I pray4994 you, through your country:776 we will not pass5674 through the fields,7704 or through the vineyards,3754 neither3808 will we drink8354 of the water4325 of the wells:875 we will go3212 by the king's4428 high way,1870 we will not turn5186 to the right3225 hand3225 nor to the left,8040 until5704 we have passed5674 your borders.1366

18 And Edom123 said559 to him, You shall not pass5674 by me, lest I come3318 out against7125 you with the sword.2719

19 And the children1121 of Israel3478 said559 to him, We will go5927 by the high4546 way: and if518 I and my cattle4735 drink8354 of your water,4325 then I will pay5414 4377 for it: I will only,7535 without369 doing anything1697 else, go5674 through5674 on5921 my feet.7272

20 And he said,559 You shall not go5674 through.5674 And Edom123 came3318 out against7125 him with much3515 people,5971 and with a strong2389 hand.3027

21 Thus Edom123 refused3985 to give5414 Israel3478 passage5674 through his border:1366 why Israel3478 turned5186 away from him.

22 And the children1121 of Israel,3478 even the whole3605 congregation,5712 journeyed5265 from Kadesh,6946 and came935 to mount2022 Hor.2023

23 And the LORD3068 spoke559 to Moses4872 and Aaron175 in mount2022 Hor,2023 by the coast1366 of the land776 of Edom,123 saying,559

24 Aaron175 shall be gathered622 to his people:5971 for he shall not enter935 into413 the land776 which834 I have given5414 to the children1121 of Israel,3478 because5921 834 you rebelled4784 against4775 my word6310 at the water4325 of Meribah.4809

25 Take3947 Aaron175 and Eleazar499 his son,1121 and bring5927 them up to mount2022 Hor:2023

26 And strip6584 Aaron175 of his garments,899 and put3847 them on Eleazar499 his son:1121 and Aaron175 shall be gathered622 to his people,5971 and shall die4191 there.8033

27 And Moses4872 did6213 as the LORD3068 commanded:6680 and they went5927 up into413 mount2022 Hor2023 in the sight5869 of all3605 the congregation.5712

28 And Moses4872 stripped6584 Aaron175 of his garments,899 and put3847 them on Eleazar499 his son;1121 and Aaron175 died4191 there8033 in the top7218 of the mount:2022 and Moses4872 and Eleazar499 came3381 down3381 from the mount.2022

29 And when all3605 the congregation5712 saw7200 that Aaron175 was dead,1478 they mourned1058 for Aaron175 thirty7970 days,3117 even all3605 the house1004 of Israel.3478

2 У народа не было воды, и они собрались против Моисея и Аарона.

3 Они стали обвинять Моисея и говорить: — Почему мы не умерли тогда, когда умерли перед Господом наши братья!

4 Зачем вы привели народ Господа в эту пустыню? Чтобы мы и наш скот умерли здесь?

5 Зачем вы вывели нас из Египта и привели в это ужасное место? Здесь не растут ни зерно, ни инжир, ни виноград, ни гранаты. Здесь даже нет воды для питья!

6 Моисей и Аарон пошли от народа ко входу в шатер собрания, пали ниц, и им явилась слава Господа.

7 Господь сказал Моисею:

8 — Возьми посох и вместе со своим братом Аароном собери народ. У них на глазах скажи скале, и она изольет свою воду. Ты дашь народу воду из скалы, чтобы они и их скот утолили жажду.

9 Моисей взял посох, который был перед Господом, как Он повелел ему.

10 Они с Аароном собрали народ перед скалой, и Моисей сказал им: — Послушайте, мятежники, неужели мы должны дать вам воду из этой скалы?

11 Моисей поднял руку и дважды ударил по скале своим посохом. Оттуда хлынула вода, и общество и его скот напились.

12 Но Господь сказал Моисею и Аарону: — За то, что у вас не хватило веры, чтобы доказать израильтянам Мою святость, вы не приведете этот народ в землю, которую Я им даю.

13 Израильтяне ссорились с Господом, и Он показал им Свою святость у вод Меривы.

14 Моисей послал вестников из Кадеша к царю Эдома, говоря: — Говорит твой брат Израиль: ты знаешь о всех тяготах, которые выпали на нашу долю.

15 Наши отцы пришли в Египет, и мы жили там много лет. Египтяне плохо обращались и с нами, и с нашими отцами,

16 но когда мы воззвали к Господу, Он услышал нас, послал Ангела и вывел нас из Египта. И вот, мы в Кадеше, городе на краю твоей земли.

17 Прошу, пропусти нас через твою страну. Мы не пойдем ни полями, ни виноградниками и не будем пить воду из колодцев. Мы будем идти Царской дорогой, мы не свернем ни вправо, ни влево, пока не пройдем твою землю.

18 Но Эдом ответил: — Вам нельзя здесь пройти. Если вы попытаетесь сделать это, мы выйдем против вас с мечом.

19 Израильтяне сказали: — Мы пройдем главной дорогой, и если мы или наш скот будем пить воду из ваших колодцев, то мы за нее заплатим. Мы хотим лишь пройти пешком — ничего больше.

20 Те ответили: — Вы не можете пройти. И Эдом выступил против них с большим и сильным войском.

21 Эдом не пропустил их через свою землю, и Израиль обошел его.

22 Народ израильский тронулся в путь из Кадеша и пришел к горе Ор.

23 У горы Ор, что у границы Эдома, Господь сказал Моисею и Аарону:

24 — Аарон упокоится и присоединится к своим предкам. Он не войдет в землю, которую Я даю израильтянам, потому что вы оба ослушались Моего повеления у вод Меривы.

25 Позови Аарона и его сына Элеазара и возьми их на гору Ор.

26 Сними с Аарона его одежды и надень их на его сына Элеазара, потому что Аарон упокоится и присоединится к своим предкам — он умрет там.

27 Моисей сделал, как повелел Господь: на глазах у народа они поднялись на гору Ор.

28 Моисей снял с Аарона его одежды и надел их на его сына Элеазара. И Аарон умер там на вершине горы. Моисей и Элеазар спустились с горы,

29 и когда народ узнал, что Аарон умер, дом Израиля оплакивал его тридцать дней.

7 Господь сказал Моисею:

8 — Возьми посох и вместе со своим братом Аароном собери народ. У них на глазах скажи скале, и она изольет свою воду. Ты дашь народу воду из скалы, чтобы они и их скот утолили жажду.

9 And Moses4872 took3947 the rod4294 from before6440 the LORD,3068 as he commanded6680 him.

9 Моисей взял посох, который был перед Господом, как Он повелел ему.

11 Моисей поднял руку и дважды ударил по скале своим посохом. Оттуда хлынула вода, и общество и его скот напились.

12 And the LORD3068 spoke559 to Moses4872 and Aaron,175 Because3282 you believed539 me not, to sanctify6942 me in the eyes5869 of the children1121 of Israel,3478 therefore3651 you shall not bring935 this2088 congregation6951 into413 the land776 which834 I have given5414 them.

12 Но Господь сказал Моисею и Аарону: — За то, что у вас не хватило веры, чтобы доказать израильтянам Мою святость, вы не приведете этот народ в землю, которую Я им даю.

13 This1992 is the water4325 of Meribah;4809 because834 the children1121 of Israel3478 strove7378 with the LORD,3068 and he was sanctified6942 in them.

13 Израильтяне ссорились с Господом, и Он показал им Свою святость у вод Меривы.

14 Моисей послал вестников из Кадеша к царю Эдома, говоря: — Говорит твой брат Израиль: ты знаешь о всех тяготах, которые выпали на нашу долю.

15 Наши отцы пришли в Египет, и мы жили там много лет. Египтяне плохо обращались и с нами, и с нашими отцами,

16 но когда мы воззвали к Господу, Он услышал нас, послал Ангела и вывел нас из Египта. И вот, мы в Кадеше, городе на краю твоей земли.

18 Но Эдом ответил: — Вам нельзя здесь пройти. Если вы попытаетесь сделать это, мы выйдем против вас с мечом.

19 And the children1121 of Israel3478 said559 to him, We will go5927 by the high4546 way: and if518 I and my cattle4735 drink8354 of your water,4325 then I will pay5414 4377 for it: I will only,7535 without369 doing anything1697 else, go5674 through5674 on5921 my feet.7272

19 Израильтяне сказали: — Мы пройдем главной дорогой, и если мы или наш скот будем пить воду из ваших колодцев, то мы за нее заплатим. Мы хотим лишь пройти пешком — ничего больше.

20 And he said,559 You shall not go5674 through.5674 And Edom123 came3318 out against7125 him with much3515 people,5971 and with a strong2389 hand.3027

20 Те ответили: — Вы не можете пройти. И Эдом выступил против них с большим и сильным войском.

21 Thus Edom123 refused3985 to give5414 Israel3478 passage5674 through his border:1366 why Israel3478 turned5186 away from him.

23 And the LORD3068 spoke559 to Moses4872 and Aaron175 in mount2022 Hor,2023 by the coast1366 of the land776 of Edom,123 saying,559

23 У горы Ор, что у границы Эдома, Господь сказал Моисею и Аарону:

24 Aaron175 shall be gathered622 to his people:5971 for he shall not enter935 into413 the land776 which834 I have given5414 to the children1121 of Israel,3478 because5921 834 you rebelled4784 against4775 my word6310 at the water4325 of Meribah.4809

24 — Аарон упокоится и присоединится к своим предкам. Он не войдет в землю, которую Я даю израильтянам, потому что вы оба ослушались Моего повеления у вод Меривы.

25 Take3947 Aaron175 and Eleazar499 his son,1121 and bring5927 them up to mount2022 Hor:2023

28 Моисей снял с Аарона его одежды и надел их на его сына Элеазара. И Аарон умер там на вершине горы. Моисей и Элеазар спустились с горы,

29 And when all3605 the congregation5712 saw7200 that Aaron175 was dead,1478 they mourned1058 for Aaron175 thirty7970 days,3117 even all3605 the house1004 of Israel.3478
