1 To every3605 thing there is a season,2165 and a time6256 to every3605 purpose2656 under8478 the heaven: 8064

2 A time6256 to be born,3205 and a time6256 to die;4191 a time6256 to plant,5193 and a time6256 to pluck up6131 that which is planted;5193

3 A time6256 to kill,2026 and a time6256 to heal;7495 a time6256 to break down,6555 and a time6256 to build up;1129

4 A time6256 to weep,1058 and a time6256 to laugh;7832 a time6256 to mourn,5594 and a time6256 to dance;7540

10 I have seen7200 853 the travail,6045 which834 God430 hath given5414 to the sons1121 of men120 to be exercised6031 in it.

11 He hath made6213 853 every3605 thing beautiful3303 in his time:6256 also1571 he hath set5414 853 the world5769 in their heart,3820 so that834 no4480 1097 man120 can find out4672 853 the work4639 that834 God430 maketh6213 from the beginning4480 7218 to5704 the end.5490

12 I know3045 that3588 there is no369 good2896 in them, but518 for3588 a man to rejoice,8055 and to do6213 good2896 in his life.2416

13 And also1571 that every man should eat7945 398 3605 120 and drink,8354 and enjoy7200 the good2896 of all3605 his labor,5999 it1931 is the gift4991 of God.430

14 I know3045 that,3588 whatsoever3605 834 God430 doeth,6213 it1931 shall be1961 forever:5769 nothing369 can be put3254 to5921 it, nor369 any thing taken1639 from4480 it: and God430 doeth6213 it, that men should fear7945 3372 before4480 6440 him.

15 That which hath been4100 7945 1961 is now;3528 and that1931 which834 is to be1961 hath already3528 been;1961 and God430 requireth1245 853 that which is past.7291

16 And moreover5750 I saw7200 under8478 the sun8121 the place4725 of judgment,4941 that wickedness7562 was there;8033 and the place4725 of righteousness,6664 that iniquity7562 was there.8033

17 I589 said559 in mine heart,3820 God430 shall judge8199 853 the righteous6662 and the wicked:7563 for3588 there is a time6256 there8033 for every3605 purpose2656 and for5921 every3605 work.4639

18 I589 said559 in mine heart3820 concerning5921 the estate1700 of the sons1121 of men,120 that God430 might manifest1305 them, and that they1992 might see7200 that they7945 themselves are beasts.929

19 For3588 that which befalleth4745 the sons1121 of men120 befalleth4745 beasts;929 even one thing259 befalleth4745 them: as the one2088 dieth,4194 so3651 dieth4194 the other;2088 yea, they have all3605 one259 breath;7307 so that a man120 hath no369 preeminence4195 above4480 a beast:929 for3588 all3605 is vanity.1892

20 All3605 go1980 unto413 one259 place;4725 all3605 are1961 of4480 the dust,6083 and all3605 turn to dust again.7725 413 6083

21 Who4310 knoweth3045 the spirit7307 of man120 that1931 goeth5927 upward,4605 and the spirit7307 of the beast929 that1931 goeth3381 downward4295 to the earth?776

22 Wherefore I perceive7200 that3588 there is nothing369 better,2896 than that4480 834 a man120 should rejoice8055 in his own works;4639 for3588 that1931 is his portion:2506 for3588 who4310 shall bring935 him to see7200 what shall be4100 7945 1961 after310 him?

1 凡事都有定期，天下各務［every purpose］都有定時。

2 生有時，死有時；栽種有時，拔出所栽種的也有時；

3 殺戮有時，醫治有時；拆毀有時，建造有時；

4 哭有時，笑有時；哀慟有時，跳舞有時；

5 拋擲石頭有時，堆聚石頭有時；懷抱有時，不懷抱有時；

6 得著［get］有時，失落有時；保守有時，捨棄有時；

7 撕裂有時，縫補有時；靜默有時，言語有時；

8 喜愛有時，恨惡有時；爭戰有時，和好有時。

9 這樣看來，作事的人在他的勞碌上有甚麼益處呢？

10 我見神叫世人勞苦，使他們在其中受經練。

11 神造一切［every thing］，各按其時成為美好；又將世事［world］安置在世人心裏。然而神從始至終的作為，人不能參透。

12 我知道他們裏面沒有善［no good in them］，但人若要得喜樂，便要終身行善［but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life］。

13 並且人人吃喝，在他一切勞碌中享福，這也是神的恩賜。

14 我知道神一切所作的都必永存；無所增添，無所減少。神這樣行，是要人在他面前存敬畏的心。

15 現今的事早先就有了，將來的事早已也有了，並且神再尋回已過的事［and God requireth that which is past］。

16 我又見日光之下，在審判之處有奸惡；在公義之處也有罪孽［inquity］。

17 我心裏說，神必審判義人和惡人；因為在那裏，各樣事務，一切工作，都有定時。

18 我心裏說，這乃為世人的緣故，是神要顯明［manifest］他們，使他們覺得自己不過是獸［are beasts］。

19 因為世人遭遇的，獸也遭遇，所遭遇的都是一樣：這個怎樣死，那個也怎樣死，氣息都是一樣。人不能強於獸，都是虛空。

20 都歸一處，都是出於塵土，也都歸於塵土。

21 誰知道人的靈是往上昇，獸的靈［spirit］是下入地呢？

22 故此，我見人莫過於［better］在他經營的事上喜樂，因為這是他的分。他身後的事誰能使他回來得見呢？

11 神造一切［every thing］，各按其時成為美好；又將世事［world］安置在世人心裏。然而神從始至終的作為，人不能參透。

12 I know3045 that3588 there is no369 good2896 in them, but518 for3588 a man to rejoice,8055 and to do6213 good2896 in his life.2416

12 我知道他們裏面沒有善［no good in them］，但人若要得喜樂，便要終身行善［but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life］。

13 And also1571 that every man should eat7945 398 3605 120 and drink,8354 and enjoy7200 the good2896 of all3605 his labor,5999 it1931 is the gift4991 of God.430

13 並且人人吃喝，在他一切勞碌中享福，這也是神的恩賜。

19 因為世人遭遇的，獸也遭遇，所遭遇的都是一樣：這個怎樣死，那個也怎樣死，氣息都是一樣。人不能強於獸，都是虛空。
