2 That thou mayest regard8104 discretion,4209 and that thy lips8193 may keep5341 knowledge.1847

3 For3588 the lips8193 of a strange woman2114 drop5197 as a honeycomb,5317 and her mouth2441 is smoother2509 than oil:4480 8081

4 But her end319 is bitter4751 as wormwood,3939 sharp2299 as a twoedged6310 sword.2719

1 我兒，要留心我智慧的話語，側耳聽我聰明的言詞，

2 為要使你謹守謀略，嘴唇保守［keep］知識。

3 因為外女［strange woman］的嘴滴下蜂蜜，她的口比油更滑；

4 她［her］至終卻苦似茵蔯，鋒利［sharp］如兩刃的刀。

5 她的腳下入死地；她腳步踏住地獄［hell］。

6 恐怕你衡量生命的道［Lest thou shouldest ponder the path of life］，她的路變遷不定，使你不能［that thou canst not］知道。

7 所以［therefore］眾子啊，現在你們［ye］要聽從我，不可離棄我口中的話。

8 你所行的道要離她遠，不可就近她的房門，

9 恐怕將你的尊榮給別人，將你的歲月給殘忍的人；

10 恐怕外人滿得你的財物［wealth］，你勞碌得來的，歸入外人的家；

11 終久，你皮肉和身體消毀，你就悲歎，

12 說：我怎麼恨惡訓誨，心中藐視責備，

13 也不聽從我教師［teachers］的話，又不側耳聽那教訓我的人。

14 我在聖會裏，幾乎落在諸般惡中。

15 你要喝自己池中的水，飲自己井裏的活水。

16 你的泉源應當［Let］漲溢在外，你的河水也當［Let］流在街上。

17 唯獨歸你一人，不可與外人同用。

18 要使你的泉源蒙福；要與［with］你幼年所娶的妻同樂［rejoice］。

19 要使［Let］她如可愛的獐鹿［roe］，可喜的母鹿；願她的兩乳［breasts］使你時時知足，她的愛情使你常常戀慕。

20 我兒，你為何戀慕外女［strange woman］？為何抱外人［stranger］的胸懷？

21 因為，人所行的道都在耶和華眼前；他也衡量［Ponder］人一切的路。

22 惡人必被自己的罪孽捉住，他必被自己罪惡的繩索［cords of his sins］纏繞。

23 他因不受訓誨就必死亡；又因愚昧過甚，必走迷了路［astray］。
