5 And it shall come to pass,1961 that on the sixth8345 day3117 they shall prepare3559 853 that which834 they bring in;935 and it shall be1961 twice4932 as much as5921 834 they gather3950 daily.3117 3117

7 And in the morning,1242 then ye shall see7200 853 the glory3519 of the LORD;3068 for that he heareth8085 853 your murmurings8519 against5921 the LORD:3068 and what4100 are we,5168 that3588 ye murmur3885 against5921 us?

9 And Moses4872 spoke559 unto413 Aaron,175 Say559 unto413 all3605 the congregation5712 of the children1121 of Israel,3478 Come near7126 before6440 the LORD:3068 for3588 he hath heard8085 853 your murmurings.8519

10 And it came to pass,1961 as Aaron175 spoke1696 unto413 the whole3605 congregation5712 of the children1121 of Israel,3478 that they looked6437 toward413 the wilderness,4057 and, behold,2009 the glory3519 of the LORD3068 appeared7200 in the cloud.6051

11 And the LORD3068 spoke1696 unto413 Moses,4872 saying,559

12 I have heard8085 853 the murmurings8519 of the children1121 of Israel:3478 speak1696 unto413 them, saying,559 At996 even6153 ye shall eat398 flesh,1320 and in the morning1242 ye shall be filled7646 with bread;3899 and ye shall know3045 that3588 I589 am the LORD3068 your God.430

13 And it came to pass,1961 that at even6153 the quails7958 came up,5927 and covered3680 853 the camp:4264 and in the morning1242 the dew2919 lay1961 7902 round about5439 the host.4264

14 And when the dew2919 that lay7902 was gone up,5927 behold,2009 upon5921 the face6440 of the wilderness4057 there lay a small1851 round thing,2636 as small1851 as the hoar frost3713 on5921 the ground.776

15 And when the children1121 of Israel3478 saw7200 it, they said559 one376 to413 another,251 It1931 is manna:4478 for3588 they knew3045 not3808 what4100 it1931 was. And Moses4872 said559 unto413 them, This1931 is the bread3899 which834 the LORD3068 hath given5414 you to eat.402

16 This2088 is the thing1697 which834 the LORD3068 hath commanded,6680 Gather3950 of4480 it every man376 according to6310 his eating,400 an omer6016 for every man,1538 according to the number4557 of your persons;5315 take3947 ye every man376 for them which834 are in his tents.168

17 And the children1121 of Israel3478 did6213 so,3651 and gathered,3950 some more,7235 some less.4591

18 And when they did mete4058 it with an omer,6016 he that gathered much7235 had nothing over,5736 3808 and he that gathered little4591 had no3808 lack;2637 they gathered3950 every man376 according to6310 his eating.400

19 And Moses4872 said,559 Let no408 man376 leave3498 of4480 it till5704 the morning.1242

20 Notwithstanding they hearkened8085 not3808 unto413 Moses;4872 but some376 of them left3498 of4480 it until5704 the morning,1242 and it bred7311 worms,8438 and stank:887 and Moses4872 was wroth7107 with5921 them.

21 And they gathered3950 it every morning,1242 1242 every man376 according to6310 his eating:400 and when the sun8121 waxed hot,2552 it melted.4549

22 And it came to pass,1961 that on the sixth8345 day3117 they gathered3950 twice as much4932 bread,3899 two8147 omers6016 for one259 man: and all3605 the rulers5387 of the congregation5712 came935 and told5046 Moses.4872

23 And he said559 unto413 them, This1931 is that which834 the LORD3068 hath said,1696 Tomorrow4279 is the rest7677 of the holy6944 sabbath7676 unto the LORD:3068 bake644 that853 which834 ye will bake644 today, and seethe1310 that834 ye will seethe;1310 and that which3605 remaineth over5736 lay up5117 for you to be kept4931 until5704 the morning.1242

24 And they laid it up5117 853 till5704 the morning,1242 as834 Moses4872 bade:6680 and it did not3808 stink,887 neither3808 was1961 there any worm7415 therein.

25 And Moses4872 said,559 Eat398 that today;3117 for3588 today3117 is a sabbath7676 unto the LORD:3068 today3117 ye shall not3808 find4672 it in the field.7704

26 Six8337 days3117 ye shall gather3950 it; but on the seventh7637 day,3117 which is the sabbath,7676 in it there shall be1961 none.3808

27 And it came to pass,1961 that there went out3318 some of4480 the people5971 on the seventh7637 day3117 for to gather,3950 and they found4672 none.3808

28 And the LORD3068 said559 unto413 Moses,4872 How long5704 575 refuse3985 ye to keep8104 my commandments4687 and my laws?8451

29 See,7200 for3588 that the LORD3068 hath given5414 you the sabbath,7676 therefore5921 3651 he1931 giveth5414 you on the sixth8345 day3117 the bread3899 of two days;3117 abide3427 ye every man376 in his place,8478 let no408 man376 go out3318 of his place4480 4725 on the seventh7637 day.3117

30 So the people5971 rested7673 on the seventh7637 day.3117

31 And the house1004 of Israel3478 called7121 853 the name8034 thereof Manna:4478 and it1931 was like coriander1407 seed,2233 white;3836 and the taste2940 of it was like wafers6838 made with honey.1706

32 And Moses4872 said,559 This2088 is the thing1697 which834 the LORD3068 commandeth,6680 Fill4393 an omer6016 of4480 it to be kept4931 for your generations;1755 that4616 they may see7200 853 the bread3899 wherewith834 I have fed398 you in the wilderness,4057 when I brought you forth3318 853 from the land4480 776 of Egypt.4714

33 And Moses4872 said559 unto413 Aaron,175 Take3947 a259 pot,6803 and put5414 an omer6016 full4393 of manna4478 therein,8033 and lay it up5117 853 before6440 the LORD,3068 to be kept4931 for your generations.1755

34 As834 the LORD3068 commanded6680 413 Moses,4872 so Aaron175 laid it up5117 before6440 the Testimony,5715 to be kept.4931

35 And the children1121 of Israel3478 did eat398 853 manna4478 forty705 years,8141 until5704 they came935 to413 a land776 inhabited;3427 they did eat398 853 manna,4478 until5704 they came935 unto413 the borders7097 of the land776 of Canaan.3667

36 Now an omer6016 is the tenth6224 part of an ephah.374

3 und1121 sprachen559: Wollte5414 GOtt, wir wären in Ägypten776 gestorben4191 durch des HErrn3068 Hand3027, da wir bei den Fleischtöpfen1320 saßen und3478 hatten3427 die Fülle7648 Brot3899 zu essen398! Denn ihr habt uns darum ausgeführet in diese Wüste4057, daß ihr diese ganze Gemeine Hungers7458 sterben4191 lasset.

4 Da sprach559 der HErr3068 zu Mose4872: Siehe, ich will euch3212 Brot3899 vom Himmel8064 regnen4305 lassen, und das1697 Volk5971 soll hinausgehen3318 und sammeln3950 täglich, was es des Tages bedarf, daß ich‘s versuche5254, ob es in meinem Gesetz8451 wandele oder nicht.

5 Des sechsten8345 Tages3117 aber sollen sie sich3559 schicken, daß834 sie zwiefältig4932 eintragen, weder sie sonst täglich3117 sammeln3950.

6 Mose4872 und Aaron175 sprachen559 zu allen Kindern1121 Israel3478: Am Abend6153 sollt ihr3045 inne werden, daß euch der HErr3068 aus3318 Ägyptenland776 geführet bat,

7 und des Morgens1242 werdet ihr des HErrn3068 Herrlichkeit3519 sehen7200; denn er hat8085 euer Murren8519 wider den HErrn3068 gehöret. Was sind wir5168, daß ihr wider uns murret?

8 Weiter sprach559 Mose4872: Der HErr3068 wird euch am Abend6153 Fleisch1320 zu essen398 geben5414 und am Morgen1242 Brots3899 die Fülle7646, darum daß der HErr3068 euer Murren8519 gehöret hat8085, das ihr wider ihn gemurret habt3885. Denn was sind wir5168? Euer Murren8519 ist nicht wider uns, sondern wider den HErrn3068.

9 Und Mose4872 sprach559 zu Aaron175: Sage559 der ganzen5712 Gemeine der Kinder1121 Israel3478: Kommt herbei7126 vor6440 den HErrn3068; denn er hat8085 euer Murren8519 gehöret.

10 Und da Aaron175 also redete1696 zu der ganzen5712 Gemeine der Kinder1121 Israel3478, wandten sie sich6437 gegen die Wüste4057; und siehe, die Herrlichkeit3519 des HErrn3068 erschien7200 in einer Wolke6051.

11 Und559 der HErr3068 sprach1696 zu Mose4872:

12 Ich habe1696 der Kinder1121 Israel3478 Murren8519 gehöret. Sage559 ihnen: Zwischen Abend6153 sollt ihr Fleisch1320 zu8085 essen398 haben3045 und am Morgen1242 Brots3899 satt werden7646 und inne werden, daß ich der HErr3068, euer GOtt430 bin.

13 Und am Abend6153 kamen Wachteln7958 herauf5927 und bedeckten3680 das Heer4264. Und am Morgen1242 lag7902 der Tau2919 um das Heer4264 her5439.

14 Und776 als der Tau2919 weg war, siehe, da lag es in der Wüste4057 rund2636 und klein1851, wie der Reif3713 auf5927 dem Lande6440.

15 Und da es die Kinder1121 Israel3478 sahen7200, sprachen559 sie251 untereinander376: Das ist Man4478; denn sie wußten3045 nicht, was es war. Mose4872 aber sprach559 zu ihnen: Es ist das Brot3899, das euch der HErr3068 zu essen402 gegeben5414 hat.

16 Das1697 ist‘s3947 aber, das der HErr3068 geboten6680 hat: Ein376 jeglicher sammle3950 des, soviel834 er für sich essen400 mag, und nehme ein376 Gomor auf ein jeglich Haupt1538, nach6310 der Zahl4557 der Seelen5315 in seiner Hütte168.

17 Und die Kinder1121 Israel3478 taten6213 also und sammelten3950, einer viel7235, der andere wenig4591.

18 Aber da man‘s mit dem Gomor maß4058, fand der nicht drüber, der viel7235 gesammelt3950 hatte, und der nicht drunter, der wenig4591 gesammelt hatte, sondern ein376 jeglicher hatte gesammelt, soviel6310 er für sich essen400 mochte.

19 Und Mose4872 sprach559 zu ihnen: Niemand376 lasse3498 etwas davon über bis morgen1242.

20 Aber sie gehorchten8085 Mose4872 nicht. Und etliche582 ließen3498 davon über bis morgen1242; da wuchsen Würmer8438 drinnen, und ward stinkend887. Und Mose4872 ward zornig7107 auf7311 sie.

21 Sie sammelten3950 aber desselben alle Morgen1242, soviel6310 ein376 jeglicher für sich essen400 mochte. Wenn aber die Sonne8121 heiß schien2552, zerschmolz es4549.

22 Und des sechsten8345 Tages3117 sammelten3950 sie des Brots3899 zwiefältig4932, je zwei8147 Gomor für einen259. Und alle Obersten5387 der Gemeine kamen935 hinein und verkündigten5046 es Mose4872.

23 Und er sprach zu ihnen: Das ist‘s1310, das der HErr3068 gesagt559 hat1696: Morgen4279 ist5736 der Sabbat7676 der heiligen6944 Ruhe7677 des HErrn3068;. was ihr backen wollt644, das backet, und was ihr kochen1310 wollt644, das kochet; was aber übrig ist, das lasset bleiben3240, daß3605 es behalten4931 werde bis morgen1242.

24 Und sie ließen‘s bleiben3240 bis morgen1242, wie Mose4872 geboten hatte6680; da ward es nicht stinkend887, und war auch kein Wurm7415 drinnen.

25 Da sprach559 Mose4872: Esset398 das heute3117, denn es ist heute3117 der Sabbat7676 des HErrn3068; ihr werdet es heute3117 nicht finden4672 auf dem Felde7704.

26 Sechs8337 Tage3117 sollt ihr sammeln3950, aber der siebente7637 Tag3117 ist der Sabbat7676, darinnen wird‘s nicht sein.

27 Aber am siebenten7637 Tage3117 gingen3318 etliche vom Volk5971 hinaus zu sammeln3950, und fanden4672 nichts.

28 Da sprach559 der HErr3068 zu Mose4872: Wie lange weigert ihr euch3985, zu halten8104 meine Gebote4687 und Gesetze8451?

29 Sehet7200, der HErr3068 hat euch den Sabbat7676 gegeben5414; darum gibt5414 er376 euch am sechsten8345 Tage3117 zweier Tage3117 Brot3899. So bleibe3427 nun ein376 jeglicher in dem Seinen, und niemand gehe heraus von3318 seinem Ort4725 des siebenten7637 Tages3117!

30 Also feierte7673 das Volk5971 des siebenten7637 Tages3117.

31 Und das Haus1004 Israel3478 hieß7121 es8034 Man4478. Und es war wie Koriandersamen1407 und weiß3836, und hatte einen Schmack wie Semmel6838 mit Honig1706.

32 Und Mose4872 sprach559: Das1697 ist‘s, das776 der HErr3068 geboten6680 hat: Fülle4393 ein Gomor davon, zu behalten4931 auf eure Nachkommen1755, auf daß man sehe7200 das Brot3899, damit ich euch gespeiset habe398 in der Wüste4057, da ich euch aus3318 Ägyptenland4714 führte.

33 Und Mose4872 sprach559 zu Aaron175: Nimm3947 ein259 Krüglein6803 und tu5414 ein Gomor voll4393 Man4478 drein; und laß3240 es vor dem HErrn3068, zu behalten4931 auf6440 eure Nachkommen1755.

34 Wie der HErr3068 Mose4872 geboten6680 hat, also ließ3240 es Aaron175 daselbst vor6440 dem Zeugnis5715, zu behalten4931.

35 Und die Kinder1121 Israel3478 aßen398 Man4478 vierzig705 Jahre8141, bis935 daß sie zu dem Lande776 kamen935, da sie wohnen3427 sollten; bis an die Grenze7097 des Landes776 Kanaan3667 aßen398 sie Man4478.

24 And they laid it up5117 853 till5704 the morning,1242 as834 Moses4872 bade:6680 and it did not3808 stink,887 neither3808 was1961 there any worm7415 therein.
