Chapter 10

1 And the LORD3068 said559 unto413 Moses,4872 Go in935 unto413 Pharaoh:6547 for3588 I589 have hardened3513 853 his heart,3820 and the heart3820 of his servants,5650 that4616 I might show7896 these428 my signs226 before7130 him:

2 And that4616 thou mayest tell5608 in the ears241 of thy son,1121 and of thy son's1121 son,1121 853 what things834 I have wrought5953 in Egypt,4714 and my signs226 which834 I have done7760 among them; that ye may know3045 how that3588 I589 am the LORD.3068

3 And Moses4872 and Aaron175 came in935 unto413 Pharaoh,6547 and said559 unto413 him, Thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 God430 of the Hebrews,5680 How long5704 4970 wilt thou refuse3985 to humble thyself6031 before4480 6440 me? let my people5971 go,7971 that they may serve5647 me.

4 Else,3588 if518 thou859 refuse3986 to let853 my people5971 go,7971 behold,2009 tomorrow4279 will I bring935 the locusts697 into thy coast: 1366

5 And they shall cover3680 853 the face5869 of the earth,776 that one cannot3808 be able3201 to see7200 853 the earth:776 and they shall eat398 853 the residue3499 of that which is escaped,6413 which remaineth7604 unto you from4480 the hail,1259 and shall eat398 853 every3605 tree6086 which groweth6779 for you out of4480 the field: 7704

6 And they shall fill4390 thy houses,1004 and the houses1004 of all3605 thy servants,5650 and the houses1004 of all3605 the Egyptians;4714 which834 neither3808 thy fathers,1 nor thy fathers'1 fathers1 have seen,7200 since the day4480 3117 that they were1961 upon5921 the earth127 unto5704 this2088 day.3117 And he turned6437 himself, and went out3318 from4480 5973 Pharaoh.6547

7 And Pharaoh's6547 servants5650 said559 unto413 him, How long5704 4970 shall this man2088 be1961 a snare4170 unto us? let853 the men376 go,7971 that they may serve5647 853 the LORD3068 their God:430 knowest3045 thou not yet2962 that3588 Egypt4714 is destroyed?6

8 And853 Moses4872 and Aaron175 were brought again7725 unto413 Pharaoh:6547 and he said559 unto413 them, Go,1980 serve5647 853 the LORD3068 your God:430 but who4310 4310 are they that shall go?1980

9 And Moses4872 said,559 We will go1980 with our young5288 and with our old,2205 with our sons1121 and with our daughters,1323 with our flocks6629 and with our herds1241 will we go;1980 for3588 we must hold a feast2282 unto the LORD.3068

10 And he said559 unto413 them, Let the LORD3068 be1961 so3651 with5973 you, as834 I will let you go,7971 and your little ones:2945 look7200 to it; for3588 evil7451 is before5048 6440 you.

11 Not3808 so:3651 go1980 now4994 ye that are men,1397 and serve5647 853 the LORD;3068 for3588 that ye859 did desire.1245 And they were driven out1644 from4480 854 Pharaoh's6547 presence.6440

12 And the LORD3068 said559 unto413 Moses,4872 Stretch out5186 thine hand3027 over5921 the land776 of Egypt4714 for the locusts,697 that they may come up5927 upon5921 the land776 of Egypt,4714 and eat398 853 every3605 herb6212 of the land,776 even853 all3605 that834 the hail1259 hath left.7604

13 And Moses4872 stretched forth5186 853 his rod4294 over5921 the land776 of Egypt,4714 and the LORD3068 brought5090 an east6921 wind7307 upon the land776 all3605 that1931 day,3117 and all3605 that night;3915 and when it was1961 morning,1242 the east6921 wind7307 brought5375 853 the locusts.697

14 And the locusts697 went up5927 over5921 all3605 the land776 of Egypt,4714 and rested5117 in all3605 the coasts1366 of Egypt:4714 very3966 grievous3515 were they; before6440 them there were1961 no3808 such3651 locusts697 as they, neither3808 after310 them shall be1961 such.3651

15 For they covered3680 853 the face5869 of the whole3605 earth,776 so that the land776 was darkened;2821 and they did eat398 853 every3605 herb6212 of the land,776 and all3605 the fruit6529 of the trees6086 which834 the hail1259 had left:3498 and there remained3498 not3808 any3605 green thing3418 in the trees,6086 or in the herbs6212 of the field,7704 through all3605 the land776 of Egypt.4714

16 Then Pharaoh6547 called7121 for Moses4872 and Aaron175 in haste;4116 and he said,559 I have sinned2398 against the LORD3068 your God,430 and against you.

17 Now6258 therefore forgive,5375 I pray thee,4994 my sin2403 only389 this once,6471 and entreat6279 the LORD3068 your God,430 that he may take away5493 from4480 5921 me this2088 853 death4194 only.7535

18 And he went out3318 from4480 5973 Pharaoh,6547 and entreated6279 413 the LORD.3068

19 And the LORD3068 turned2015 a mighty3966 strong2389 west3220 wind,7307 which took away5375 853 the locusts,697 and cast8628 them into the Red5488 sea;3220 there remained7604 not3808 one259 locust697 in all3605 the coasts1366 of Egypt.4714

20 But the LORD3068 hardened2388 853 Pharaoh's6547 heart,3820 so that he would not3808 let853 the children1121 of Israel3478 go.7971

21 And the LORD3068 said559 unto413 Moses,4872 Stretch out5186 thine hand3027 toward5921 heaven,8064 that there may be1961 darkness2822 over5921 the land776 of Egypt,4714 even darkness2822 which may be felt.4959

22 And Moses4872 stretched forth5186 853 his hand3027 toward5921 heaven;8064 and there was1961 a thick653 darkness2822 in all3605 the land776 of Egypt4714 three7969 days: 3117

23 They saw7200 not3808 one376 853 another,251 neither3808 rose6965 any376 from his place4480 8478 for three7969 days:3117 but all3605 the children1121 of Israel3478 had1961 light216 in their dwellings.4186

24 And Pharaoh6547 called7121 unto413 Moses,4872 and said,559 Go1980 ye, serve5647 853 the LORD;3068 only7535 let your flocks6629 and your herds1241 be stayed:3322 let your little ones2945 also1571 go1980 with5973 you.

25 And Moses4872 said,559 Thou859 must give5414 us3027 also1571 sacrifices2077 and burnt offerings,5930 that we may sacrifice6213 unto the LORD3068 our God.430

26 Our cattle4735 also1571 shall go1980 with5973 us; there shall not3808 a hoof6541 be left behind;7604 for3588 thereof4480 must we take3947 to serve5647 853 the LORD3068 our God;430 and we587 know3045 not3808 with what4100 we must serve5647 853 the LORD,3068 until5704 we come935 thither.8033

27 But the LORD3068 hardened2388 853 Pharaoh's6547 heart,3820 and he would14 not3808 let them go.7971

28 And Pharaoh6547 said559 unto him, Get1980 thee from4480 5921 me, take heed8104 to thyself, see7200 my face6440 no408 more;3254 for3588 in that day3117 thou seest7200 my face6440 thou shalt die.4191

29 And Moses4872 said,559 Thou hast spoken1696 well,3651 I will see7200 thy face6440 again3254 no3808 more.5750

Chapter 10

1 AND the LORD said to Moses, Go in to Pharaoh; for I have hardened his heart and the hearts of his servants, that I may perform these signs among them,

2 That you may relate in the presence of your son and of your son's son the things which I have done to the Egyptians and the signs which I have performed among them, that you may know that I am the LORD.

3 And Moses and Aaron came to Pharaoh, and said to him, Thus says the LORD God of the Hebrews, How long will you refuse to fear me? Let my people go that they may serve me.

4 Else, if you refuse to let my people go, behold, tomorrow I will bring locusts upon all Four domain;

5 And they shall cover the face of the land so that men cannot see the ground; and they shall eat the residue of that which is left to you from the hail and shall eat all the trees which have budded for you in the field;

6 And they shall fill your houses and the houses of your servants and the houses of all the Egyptians such as neither your fathers nor your grand fathers have seen, from the day that they were upon the earth even to this day. And they turned, and went out from the presence of Pharaoh.

7 And Pharaoh's servants said to him, How long shall we suffer this disaster? Let the men go that they may serve the LORD their God; do you not yet know that Egypt is destroyed?

8 So Moses and Aaron were brought again to Pharaoh; and he said to them, Go, serve before the LORD your God; but who are they that are going?

9 And Moses said to him, We will go with our young and with our old, with our sons and with our daughters; with our flocks and with our herds will we go, for it is a festival of the LORD for all of us.

10 And Pharaoh said to them, Let the LORD be with you, but when I let you and your little ones go, look to it; perhaps you have evil intent.

11 Let it not be so; go now, the older men, and serve before the LORD; for it is the rest that you desire. And they were driven out from Pharaoh's presence.

12 And the LORD said to Moses, Lift up your hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, that they may come up upon the land of Egypt and eat the herbs of the land, even all that the hail has left.

13 And Moses lifted up his staff over the land of Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind upon the land all that day and all that night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.

14 And the locusts went up over all the land of Egypt and rested in all the domain of the Egyptians; it was a great swarm; before them there were no such swarms of locusts as they, neither after them shall be such.

15 For they covered the face of the whole earth so that the land was darkened; and they did eat all the herbs of the land and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left; and there remained no leaf on the trees neither grass in the field, through al the land of Egypt.

16 Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron in haste; and he said to them, I have sinned against the LORD your God and against you.

17 Now therefore, forgive me my fault this time also, and pray before the LORD your God that he may re move from me this death.

18 And Moses went out from the presence of Pharaoh and prayed be fore the LORD.

19 And the LORD turned a mighty strong west wind, which took away the locusts and cast them into the Red Sea; there remained not one locust in all the domain of Egypt.

20 But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart so that he would not let the children of Israel go.

21 Then the LORD said to Moses, Lift up your hand toward the heaven that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even thick darkness.

22 And Moses lifted up his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days;

23 They did not see one another, nor rose any from his place for three days; but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.

24 And Pharaoh called to Moses and said to him, Go, serve before the LORD your God; only let your flocks and herds remain here; let your little ones also go with you.

25 Then Moses said to Pharaoh. You must give us also sacrifices and burnt offerings that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.

26 Our cattle also shall go with us; there shall not an hoof be left behind; for thereof must we take to serve before the LORD our God; and we do not know what else we must offer to the LORD until we come there.

27 But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart and he would not let them go.

28 And Pharaoh said to Moses. Get away from here, take heed to yourself, do not try to see my face again,

29 And Moses said, You have spoken well, I will not try to see your face any more.

1 AND the LORD said to Moses, Go in to Pharaoh; for I have hardened his heart and the hearts of his servants, that I may perform these signs among them,

2 That you may relate in the presence of your son and of your son's son the things which I have done to the Egyptians and the signs which I have performed among them, that you may know that I am the LORD.

3 And Moses and Aaron came to Pharaoh, and said to him, Thus says the LORD God of the Hebrews, How long will you refuse to fear me? Let my people go that they may serve me.

4 Else,3588 if518 thou859 refuse3986 to let853 my people5971 go,7971 behold,2009 tomorrow4279 will I bring935 the locusts697 into thy coast: 1366

4 Else, if you refuse to let my people go, behold, tomorrow I will bring locusts upon all Four domain;

5 And they shall cover the face of the land so that men cannot see the ground; and they shall eat the residue of that which is left to you from the hail and shall eat all the trees which have budded for you in the field;

6 And they shall fill your houses and the houses of your servants and the houses of all the Egyptians such as neither your fathers nor your grand fathers have seen, from the day that they were upon the earth even to this day. And they turned, and went out from the presence of Pharaoh.

7 And Pharaoh's servants said to him, How long shall we suffer this disaster? Let the men go that they may serve the LORD their God; do you not yet know that Egypt is destroyed?

8 And853 Moses4872 and Aaron175 were brought again7725 unto413 Pharaoh:6547 and he said559 unto413 them, Go,1980 serve5647 853 the LORD3068 your God:430 but who4310 4310 are they that shall go?1980

8 So Moses and Aaron were brought again to Pharaoh; and he said to them, Go, serve before the LORD your God; but who are they that are going?

9 And Moses4872 said,559 We will go1980 with our young5288 and with our old,2205 with our sons1121 and with our daughters,1323 with our flocks6629 and with our herds1241 will we go;1980 for3588 we must hold a feast2282 unto the LORD.3068

9 And Moses said to him, We will go with our young and with our old, with our sons and with our daughters; with our flocks and with our herds will we go, for it is a festival of the LORD for all of us.

10 And he said559 unto413 them, Let the LORD3068 be1961 so3651 with5973 you, as834 I will let you go,7971 and your little ones:2945 look7200 to it; for3588 evil7451 is before5048 6440 you.

10 And Pharaoh said to them, Let the LORD be with you, but when I let you and your little ones go, look to it; perhaps you have evil intent.

11 Not3808 so:3651 go1980 now4994 ye that are men,1397 and serve5647 853 the LORD;3068 for3588 that ye859 did desire.1245 And they were driven out1644 from4480 854 Pharaoh's6547 presence.6440

11 Let it not be so; go now, the older men, and serve before the LORD; for it is the rest that you desire. And they were driven out from Pharaoh's presence.

12 And the LORD said to Moses, Lift up your hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, that they may come up upon the land of Egypt and eat the herbs of the land, even all that the hail has left.

13 And Moses lifted up his staff over the land of Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind upon the land all that day and all that night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.

14 And the locusts went up over all the land of Egypt and rested in all the domain of the Egyptians; it was a great swarm; before them there were no such swarms of locusts as they, neither after them shall be such.

15 For they covered the face of the whole earth so that the land was darkened; and they did eat all the herbs of the land and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left; and there remained no leaf on the trees neither grass in the field, through al the land of Egypt.

16 Then Pharaoh6547 called7121 for Moses4872 and Aaron175 in haste;4116 and he said,559 I have sinned2398 against the LORD3068 your God,430 and against you.

16 Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron in haste; and he said to them, I have sinned against the LORD your God and against you.

17 Now6258 therefore forgive,5375 I pray thee,4994 my sin2403 only389 this once,6471 and entreat6279 the LORD3068 your God,430 that he may take away5493 from4480 5921 me this2088 853 death4194 only.7535

17 Now therefore, forgive me my fault this time also, and pray before the LORD your God that he may re move from me this death.

18 And he went out3318 from4480 5973 Pharaoh,6547 and entreated6279 413 the LORD.3068

18 And Moses went out from the presence of Pharaoh and prayed be fore the LORD.

19 And the LORD turned a mighty strong west wind, which took away the locusts and cast them into the Red Sea; there remained not one locust in all the domain of Egypt.

20 But the LORD3068 hardened2388 853 Pharaoh's6547 heart,3820 so that he would not3808 let853 the children1121 of Israel3478 go.7971

20 But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart so that he would not let the children of Israel go.

21 And the LORD3068 said559 unto413 Moses,4872 Stretch out5186 thine hand3027 toward5921 heaven,8064 that there may be1961 darkness2822 over5921 the land776 of Egypt,4714 even darkness2822 which may be felt.4959

21 Then the LORD said to Moses, Lift up your hand toward the heaven that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even thick darkness.

22 And Moses4872 stretched forth5186 853 his hand3027 toward5921 heaven;8064 and there was1961 a thick653 darkness2822 in all3605 the land776 of Egypt4714 three7969 days: 3117

22 And Moses lifted up his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days;

23 They saw7200 not3808 one376 853 another,251 neither3808 rose6965 any376 from his place4480 8478 for three7969 days:3117 but all3605 the children1121 of Israel3478 had1961 light216 in their dwellings.4186

23 They did not see one another, nor rose any from his place for three days; but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.

24 And Pharaoh called to Moses and said to him, Go, serve before the LORD your God; only let your flocks and herds remain here; let your little ones also go with you.

25 And Moses4872 said,559 Thou859 must give5414 us3027 also1571 sacrifices2077 and burnt offerings,5930 that we may sacrifice6213 unto the LORD3068 our God.430

25 Then Moses said to Pharaoh. You must give us also sacrifices and burnt offerings that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.
