Chapter 9

1 Oh that4310 my head7218 were5414 waters,4325 and mine eyes5869 a fountain4726 of tears,1832 that I might weep1058 day3119 and night3915 for5921 the slain2491 of the daughter1323 of my people!5971

2 Oh that I had4310 5414 in the wilderness4057 a lodging place4411 of wayfaring men;732 that I might leave5800 853 my people,5971 and go1980 from4480 854 them! for3588 they be all3605 adulterers,5003 an assembly6116 of treacherous men.898

3 And they bend1869 853 their tongues3956 like their bow7198 for lies:8267 but they are not3808 valiant1396 for the truth530 upon the earth;776 for3588 they proceed3318 from evil4480 7451 to413 evil,7451 and they know3045 not3808 me, saith5002 the LORD.3068

4 Take ye heed8104 every one376 of his neighbor,4480 7453 and trust982 ye not408 in5921 any3605 brother:251 for3588 every3605 brother251 will utterly supplant,6117 6117 and every3605 neighbor7453 will walk1980 with slanders.7400

5 And they will deceive2048 every one376 his neighbor,7453 and will not3808 speak1696 the truth:571 they have taught3925 their tongue3956 to speak1696 lies,8267 and weary themselves3811 to commit iniquity.5753

6 Thine habitation3427 is in the midst8432 of deceit;4820 through deceit4820 they refuse3985 to know3045 me, saith5002 the LORD.3068

7 Therefore3651 thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 Behold,2009 I will melt6884 them, and try974 them; for3588 how349 shall I do6213 for4480 6440 the daughter1323 of my people?5971

8 Their tongue3956 is as an arrow2671 shot out;7819 it speaketh1696 deceit:4820 one speaketh1696 peaceably7965 to854 his neighbor7453 with his mouth,6310 but in heart7130 he layeth7760 his wait.696

9 Shall I not3808 visit6485 them for5921 these428 things? saith5002 the LORD:3068 shall not3808 my soul5315 be avenged5358 on such834 a nation1471 as this?2088

10 For5921 the mountains2022 will I take up5375 a weeping1065 and wailing,5092 and for5921 the habitations4999 of the wilderness4057 a lamentation,7015 because3588 they are burned up,3341 so that none4480 1097 376 can pass through5674 them; neither3808 can men hear8085 the voice6963 of the cattle;4735 both the fowl4480 5775 of the heavens8064 and the beast929 are fled;5074 they are gone.1980

11 And I will make5414 853 Jerusalem3389 heaps,1530 and a den4583 of dragons;8577 and I will make5414 the cities5892 of Judah3063 desolate,8077 without4480 1097 an inhabitant.3427

12 Who4310 is the wise2450 man,376 that may understand995 853 this?2063 and who is he to413 whom the mouth6310 of the LORD3068 hath spoken,1696 that he may declare5046 it, for5921 what4100 the land776 perisheth6 and is burned up3341 like a wilderness,4057 that none4480 1097 passeth through?5674

13 And the LORD3068 saith,559 Because5921 they have forsaken5800 853 my law8451 which834 I set5414 before6440 them, and have not3808 obeyed8085 my voice,6963 neither3808 walked1980 therein;

14 But have walked1980 after310 the imagination8307 of their own heart,3820 and after310 Baalim,1168 which834 their fathers1 taught3925 them:

15 Therefore3651 thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 the God430 of Israel;3478 Behold,2009 I will feed398 them, even853 this2088 people,5971 with wormwood,3939 and give them water4325 of gall7219 to drink.8248

16 I will scatter6327 them also among the heathen,1471 whom834 neither3808 they1992 nor their fathers1 have known:3045 and I will send7971 853 a sword2719 after310 them, till5704 I have consumed3615 them.

17 Thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 Consider995 ye, and call7121 for the mourning women,6969 that they may come;935 and send7971 for413 cunning2450 women, that they may come: 935

18 And let them make haste,4116 and take up5375 a wailing5092 for5921 us, that our eyes5869 may run down3381 with tears,1832 and our eyelids6079 gush out5140 with waters.4325

19 For3588 a voice6963 of wailing5092 is heard8085 out of Zion,4480 6726 How349 are we spoiled!7703 we are greatly3966 confounded,954 because3588 we have forsaken5800 the land,776 because3588 our dwellings4908 have cast us out.7993

20 Yet3588 hear8085 the word1697 of the LORD,3068 O ye women,802 and let your ear241 receive3947 the word1697 of his mouth,6310 and teach3925 your daughters1323 wailing,5092 and every one802 her neighbor7468 lamentation.7015

21 For3588 death4194 is come up5927 into our windows,2474 and is entered935 into our palaces,759 to cut off3772 the children5768 from without,4480 2351 and the young men970 from the streets.4480 7339

22 Speak,1696 Thus3541 saith5002 the LORD,3068 Even the carcasses5038 of men120 shall fall5307 as dung1828 upon5921 the open6440 field,7704 and as the handful5995 after4480 310 the harvest man,7114 and none369 shall gather622 them.

23 Thus3541 saith559 the LORD,3068 Let not408 the wise2450 man glory1984 in his wisdom,2451 neither408 let the mighty1368 man glory1984 in his might,1369 let not408 the rich6223 man glory1984 in his riches: 6239

24 But3588 518 let him that glorieth1984 glory1984 in this,2063 that he understandeth7919 and knoweth3045 me, that3588 I589 am the LORD3068 which exercise6213 lovingkindness,2617 judgment,4941 and righteousness,6666 in the earth:776 for3588 in these428 things I delight,2654 saith5002 the LORD.3068

25 Behold,2009 the days3117 come,935 saith5002 the LORD,3068 that I will punish6485 5921 all3605 them which are circumcised4135 with the uncircumcised;6190

26 Egypt,4714 and Judah,3063 and Edom,123 and the children1121 of Ammon,5983 and Moab,4124 and all3605 that are in the utmost7112 corners,6285 that dwell3427 in the wilderness:4057 for3588 all3605 these nations1471 are uncircumcised,6189 and all3605 the house1004 of Israel3478 are uncircumcised6189 in the heart.3820

1 Если б во мне бил родник неистощимый, а из очей струились слезы, то оплакивал бы я днем и ночью всех убитых бедного народа моего.

2 Будь у меня прибежище в пустыне, я бы оставил свой народ, я бы ушел от них! Все они прелюбодеи, сборище предателей.

3 «Лживый язык их, — говорит ГОСПОДЬ, — что лук натянутый, не правда, а ложь господствует на земле. Одно за другим злодеяния совершают, и Меня они не знают».

4 «Пусть каждый остерегается ближнего своего и не доверяет никому из братьев своих, ибо всюду брат предает брата и ближний клевещет на ближнего.

5 Каждый ближнему своему лжет, никто не говорит правды. Они приучили язык свой лгать, грешат до изнеможения.

6 Угнетение на угнетении, обман на обмане! Они отказываются знать Меня», — говорит ГОСПОДЬ.

7 Потому так говорит ГОСПОДЬ Воинств: «Я переплавлю их и испытаю. Как иначе поступить Мне с народом Своим?

8 Язык их — стрела смертоносная, слово в устах коварства исполнено. Каждый твердит своему ближнему о мире, а сам устраивает ему засаду.

9 Могу ли Я не взыскать с них за это? — вопрошает ГОСПОДЬ. — И народу такому, как этот, могу ли Я не воздать по заслугам?

10 Горы Я буду оплакивать, причитая, о пастбищах степных песнь скорбную петь, ибо всё разорено — не ходит там никто, и блеянья стад не услышишь. Разлетелись небесные птицы, разбежались все звери.

11 Превращу Я Иерусалим в развалины, станет он логовом шакалов, а города Иудеи — пустыней безлюдной».

12 Где тот мудрец, который смог бы понять это? Кому было слово от ГОСПОДА, чтобы он возвестил его нам? За что разорена земля, выжжена, как пустыня, так что никто по ней теперь не ходит?

13 И ответил ГОСПОДЬ: «За то, что оставили они Закон Мой, который Я дал им, не слушались Меня и Закону не следовали.

14 Поступали они по велению своих упрямых сердец и служили ваалам, как учили их отцы».

15 Потому так говорит ГОСПОДЬ Воинств, Бог Израиля: «Полынью Я накормлю этот народ, напою их водой отравленной.

16 Я рассею их среди народов, которых ни они, ни отцы их не знали, меч будет преследовать их, пока не истреблю их».

17 Так говорит ГОСПОДЬ Воинств: «Задумайтесь, пора уже плакальщиц звать, чтобы они пришли! Пошлите за искусными в плаче, чтобы они пришли.

18 Пусть они поторопятся, пусть начнут свою скорбную песнь, чтобы слезы бежали с ресниц, чтобы выплакать нам очи свои.

19 Громкий плач слышен на Сионе: „Мы разорены и покрыты позором оттого, что покинули землю свою и враг разрушил наши жилища!“»

20 Каждая из вас да услышит слово ГОСПОДНЕ! Внимайте словам из Его уст. Научите дочерей своих плачу и друг друга — скорбным песням,

21 ибо смерть стучится в наши окна, врывается в наши дома, не щадит ни детей на улицах, ни юношей на площадях.

22 Это слово ГОСПОДНЕ: «Тела мертвых разбросаны будут, как навоз на поле, как снопы за жнецом, и некому будет их собрать».

23 Так говорит ГОСПОДЬ: «Да не хвалится мудрец своей мудростью, и силач да не кичится силою. Не следует богачу гордиться богатством своим!

24 А кто хвалится, пусть хвалится тем, что знает Меня и понимает. Ибо Я ГОСПОДЬ, творящий милость, суд и правду на земле, ибо в этом Я нахожу отраду», — таково слово ГОСПОДНЕ.

25 «Но придет время, — говорит ГОСПОДЬ, — когда Я взыщу со всех тех, у кого обрезана лишь крайняя плоть.

26 Я взыщу с Египта и Иудеи, взыщу с Эдома и сынов Аммона, Моава и с жителей пустыни, выстригающих себе виски. Не обрезаны все эти народы, но и у всех израильтян сердца не обрезаны».

11 Превращу Я Иерусалим в развалины, станет он логовом шакалов, а города Иудеи — пустыней безлюдной».

13 И ответил ГОСПОДЬ: «За то, что оставили они Закон Мой, который Я дал им, не слушались Меня и Закону не следовали.

20 Каждая из вас да услышит слово ГОСПОДНЕ! Внимайте словам из Его уст. Научите дочерей своих плачу и друг друга — скорбным песням,

21 ибо смерть стучится в наши окна, врывается в наши дома, не щадит ни детей на улицах, ни юношей на площадях.

23 Так говорит ГОСПОДЬ: «Да не хвалится мудрец своей мудростью, и силач да не кичится силою. Не следует богачу гордиться богатством своим!

24 А кто хвалится, пусть хвалится тем, что знает Меня и понимает. Ибо Я ГОСПОДЬ, творящий милость, суд и правду на земле, ибо в этом Я нахожу отраду», — таково слово ГОСПОДНЕ.

25 Behold,2009 the days3117 come,935 saith5002 the LORD,3068 that I will punish6485 5921 all3605 them which are circumcised4135 with the uncircumcised;6190

25 «Но придет время, — говорит ГОСПОДЬ, — когда Я взыщу со всех тех, у кого обрезана лишь крайняя плоть.
