1 The wicked7563 flee5127 when no369 man pursueth:7291 but the righteous6662 are bold982 as a lion.3715

2 For the transgression6588 of a land776 many7227 are the princes8269 thereof: but by a man120 of understanding995 and knowledge3045 the state3651 thereof shall be prolonged.748

3 A poor7326 man1397 that oppresseth6231 the poor1800 is like a sweeping5502 rain4306 which leaveth no369 food.3899

4 They that forsake5800 the law8451 praise1984 the wicked:7563 but such as keep8104 the law8451 contend1624 with them.

5 Evil7451 men376 understand995 not3808 judgment:4941 but they that seek1245 the LORD3068 understand995 all3605 things.

6 Better2896 is the poor7326 that walketh1980 in his uprightness,8537 than he that is perverse4480 6141 in his ways,1870 though he1931 be rich.6223

2 При беззаконии не избежать многовластия в стране, а правитель проницательный и сведущий упрочит ее благоденствие.

3 Нищий, который сам угнетает бедных, подобен ливню, уничтожающему посевы, и хлеба не будет у него.

4 Тот, кто отвергает Закон, превозносит нечестивцев, но кто Закон хранит — противостоит им.

5 Злодеи не ведают о справедливости, но тот, кто ГОСПОДА ищет, постигнет ее вполне.

6 Лучше нищий, что живет непорочно, чем тот, кто кривыми путями ходит, даже если он и богат.

7 Сын разумный хранит Закон, а кто с распутниками связался — позорит отца.

8 Кто состоянье умножает ссудой и ростовщичеством, собирает его для тех, кто милостив к бедным.

9 Кто не желает внимать Закону, у того и молитва — мерзость для Господа.

10 Кто честных совращает на путь зла, тот в собственную западню попадет, а непорочным достанется добро.

11 Богач мнит себя мудрецом, но проницательный бедняк видит его насквозь.

12 Когда торжествуют праведники, нет конца радости, а когда нечестивцы приходят к власти, люди прячутся.

13 Кто грехи свои скрывает — не преуспеет ни в чем, а кто исповедует их и от них отрекается — помилован будет.

14 Благо тому, кто всюду зла остерегается, а тот, чье сердце строптиво, попадет в беду.

15 Лев рыкающий, медведь изголодавшийся — таков нечестивый правитель для бедного народа.

16 Безрассудный правитель жестоко народ притесняет, но тот, кому ненавистны взятки, насладится долголетием.

17 На ком кровь, преступление тяготеет на совести — быть ему беглецом до могилы; никто не приютит его.

18 Кто живет непорочно — будет спасен от беды, а кто кривыми путями ходит — падет внезапно.

19 Кто обрабатывает свою землю, будет есть досыта, а тот, кто за пустыми мечтами гонится, сыт будет нищетой.

20 Человек верный благословен будет сверх всякой меры, а кто жаждой наживы охвачен — безнаказанным не останется.

21 Пристрастный суд несправедлив, и за кусок хлеба может человек совершить преступление.

22 Рвется к богатству скаредный, а того не знает, что бедность его настигнет.

23 В конечном счете, будут благодарны тому, кто обличает другого, а не тому, у кого льстивый язык.

24 Кто отца с матерью обирает, и говорит: «В том нет греха», тот разорителю друг.

25 Алчный раздоры разжигает, а тот, кто на ГОСПОДА уповает, будет благоденствовать.

26 Кто на свой ум лишь надеется — глупец, а кто живет в мудрости — будет спасен.

27 Кто нищему подает — не обеднеет, кто взгляд от него отводит — на себя проклятья навлекает.

28 Когда нечестивцы приходят к власти, люди прячутся, а когда нечестивцы терпят поражение, праведников прибавляется.
