2 For3588 thine arrows2671 stick fast5181 in me, and thy hand3027 presseth me sore.5181 5921

3 There is no369 soundness4974 in my flesh1320 because4480 6440 of thine anger;2195 neither369 is there any rest7965 in my bones6106 because4480 6440 of my sin.2403

4 For3588 mine iniquities5771 are gone over5674 mine head:7218 as a heavy3515 burden4853 they are too heavy3513 for4480 me.

2 Я сказал: «Я буду следить за своими путями и язык удерживать от греха, буду обуздывать уста, пока нечестивые предо мною».

3 Но когда я был нем и безмолвен, и даже о добром молчал, усилилась моя скорбь,

4 и сердце мое загорелось. Пока я размышлял, вспыхнул огонь, и тогда я сказал своими устами:

5 «Покажи мне, Господи, кончину мою и число моих дней скажи; дай мне знать, сколь жизнь моя быстротечна.

6 Да, Ты дал мне дней лишь на ширину ладони; мой век как ничто пред Тобой. Поистине, всякая жизнь — лишь пар. Пауза

7 Поистине, всякий человек подобен тени: напрасно он суетится, копит, не зная, кому все это достанется.

8 И теперь, Владыка, чего ожидать мне? Надежда моя в Тебе.

9 Избавь меня от всех моих беззаконий, не предай безумцам на поругание.

10 Я молчу; я не открываю уст, потому что Ты это сделал.

11 Отклони от меня удары Свои; гибну я от ударов Твоей руки.

12 Ты коришь и наказываешь людей за грех; Ты губишь сокровища их, как губит моль. Поистине, всякий смертный — лишь пар. Пауза

13 Услышь молитву мою, Господи; внемли моему крику о помощи; не будь безмолвен к моим слезам. Ведь я скиталец у Тебя, чужеземец, как все мои предки.

14 Отступи от меня, чтобы мне вновь улыбнуться, прежде чем я уйду и меня не станет».
