Chapter 8

1 All3605 the commandments4687 which834 I595 command6680 thee this day3117 shall ye observe8104 to do,6213 that4616 ye may live,2421 and multiply,7235 and go in935 and possess3423 853 the land776 which834 the LORD3068 swore7650 unto your fathers.1

2 And thou shalt remember2142 853 all3605 the way1870 which834 the LORD3068 thy God430 led1980 thee these2088 forty705 years8141 in the wilderness,4057 to4616 humble6031 thee, and to prove5254 thee, to know3045 853 what834 was in thine heart,3824 whether thou wouldest keep8104 his commandments,4687 or518 not.3808

3 And he humbled6031 thee, and suffered thee to hunger,7456 and fed398 thee with854 manna,4478 which834 thou knewest3045 not,3808 neither3808 did thy fathers1 know;3045 that4616 he might make thee know3045 that3588 man120 doth not3808 live2421 by5921 bread3899 only,905 but3588 by5921 every3605 word that proceedeth out4161 of the mouth6310 of the LORD3068 doth man120 live.2421

4 Thy raiment8071 waxed not old1086 3808 upon4480 5921 thee, neither3808 did thy foot7272 swell,1216 these2088 forty705 years.8141

5 Thou shalt also consider3045 in5973 thine heart,3824 that,3588 as834 a man376 chasteneth3256 853 his son,1121 so the LORD3068 thy God430 chasteneth3256 thee.

6 Therefore thou shalt keep8104 853 the commandments4687 of the LORD3068 thy God,430 to walk1980 in his ways,1870 and to fear3372 him.

7 For3588 the LORD3068 thy God430 bringeth935 thee into413 a good2896 land,776 a land776 of brooks5158 of water,4325 of fountains5869 and depths8415 that spring out3318 of valleys1237 and hills;2022

8 A land776 of wheat,2406 and barley,8184 and vines,1612 and fig trees,8384 and pomegranates;7416 a land776 of oil8081 olive,2132 and honey;1706

9 A land776 wherein834 thou shalt eat398 bread3899 without3808 scarceness,4544 thou shalt not3808 lack2637 any3605 thing in it; a land776 whose834 stones68 are iron,1270 and out of whose hills4480 2042 thou mayest dig2672 brass.5178

10 When thou hast eaten398 and art full,7646 then thou shalt bless1288 853 the LORD3068 thy God430 for5921 the good2896 land776 which834 he hath given5414 thee.

11 Beware8104 that thou forget not6435 7911 853 the LORD3068 thy God,430 in not1115 keeping8104 his commandments,4687 and his judgments,4941 and his statutes,2708 which834 I595 command6680 thee this day: 3117

12 Lest6435 when thou hast eaten398 and art full,7646 and hast built1129 goodly2896 houses,1004 and dwelt3427 therein;

13 And when thy herds1241 and thy flocks6629 multiply,7235 and thy silver3701 and thy gold2091 is multiplied,7235 and all3605 that834 thou hast is multiplied;7235

14 Then thine heart3824 be lifted up,7311 and thou forget7911 853 the LORD3068 thy God,430 which brought thee forth3318 out of the land4480 776 of Egypt,4714 from the house4480 1004 of bondage;5650

15 Who led1980 thee through that great1419 and terrible3372 wilderness,4057 wherein were fiery8314 serpents,5175 and scorpions,6137 and drought,6774 where834 there was no369 water;4325 who brought thee forth3318 water4325 out of the rock4480 6697 of flint;2496

16 Who fed398 thee in the wilderness4057 with manna,4478 which834 thy fathers1 knew3045 not,3808 that4616 he might humble6031 thee, and that4616 he might prove5254 thee, to do thee good3190 at thy latter end;319

17 And thou say559 in thine heart,3824 My power3581 and the might6108 of mine hand3027 hath gotten6213 me853 this2088 wealth.2428

18 But thou shalt remember2142 853 the LORD3068 thy God:430 for3588 it is he1931 that giveth5414 thee power3581 to get6213 wealth,2428 that4616 he may establish6965 853 his covenant1285 which834 he swore7650 unto thy fathers,1 as it is this2088 day.3117

19 And it shall be,1961 if518 thou do at all forget7911 7911 853 the LORD3068 thy God,430 and walk1980 after310 other312 gods,430 and serve5647 them, and worship7812 them, I testify5749 against you this day3117 that3588 ye shall surely perish.6 6

20 As the nations1471 which834 the LORD3068 destroyeth6 before your face,4480 6440 so3651 shall ye perish;6 because6118 ye would not3808 be obedient8085 unto the voice6963 of the LORD3068 your God.430

Глава 8

1 «Исполняйте все заповеди, которые я даю вам сегодня, чтобы жить, разрастаться и стать великим народом. Вы получите землю, которую Господь обещал вашим предкам,

2 но на всём пути помните, что Господь, Бог ваш, сорок лет водил вас за Собой по пустыне. Господь испытывал вас, желая смирить, чтобы узнать, что у вас на сердце, и увидеть, будете ли вы следовать Его заповедям.

3 Господь смирил вас и томил голодом, а затем накормил вас манной, о которой вы ничего не знали и которую никогда не видели ваши предки. Господь сделал это, чтобы вы знали, что не одним хлебом живёт человек и что человеческая жизнь зависит от слова Господа.

4 За эти сорок лет ваша одежда не износилась, и ноги у вас не опухали.

5 Помните, что всё это сделал для вас Господь, Бог ваш, как отец, наставляющий сына и исправляющий его ошибки.

6 Исполняйте заповеди Господа, Бога вашего, следуйте Ему и почитайте Его.

7 Господь, Бог ваш, введёт вас в добрую землю, землю с реками и источниками, где потоки воды текут из земли в долинах и на холмах,

8 в землю, где пшеница и ячмень, виноградные лозы, фиговые деревья и гранаты, оливковое масло и мёд,

9 туда, где у вас будет вдоволь еды и всего, что вам нужно, где камни — это железо, а из гор можно высекать медь.

10 У вас будет вдоволь любой еды, и тогда вы возблагодарите Господа, Бога вашего, за добрую землю, которую Он вам дал».

11 «Будьте осторожны! Не забывайте Господа, Бога вашего! Соблюдайте заповеди, законы и предписания, кото рые я даю вам сегодня,

12 и тогда у вас будет вдоволь еды, вы построите хорошие дома и будете в них жить.

13 Ваши коровы, овцы и козы будут тучными, у вас будет много золота и серебра, и всего будет в изобилии!

14 Но смотрите, не возгордитесь, не забудьте Господа, Бога вашего, потому что вы были рабами в Египте, Господь же освободил вас и вывел из той земли,

15 и провёл через огромную и страшную пустыню, полную ядовитых змей и скорпионов, где земля сухая и нет воды.

16 и накормил вас в пустыне манной, которую никогда не видели ваши предки, с целью испытать и смирить вас, чтобы в конечном итоге всё у вас было хорошо.

17 Никогда не говорите себе: „Я добыл всё это богатство своими собственными руками и своими силами”.

18 Помните Господа, Бога вашего, помните, что это Он дал вам силу сделать всё это, потому что желает соблюсти соглашение, заключённое с вашими предками, как Он делает это сегодня.

19 Никогда не забывайте Господа, Бога вашего! Не следуйте другим богам, не поклоняйтесь и не служите им. И сегодня я предупреждаю вас, что если вы будете так поступать, то погибнете!

20 Господь ради вас истребляет другие народы, но если вы станете следовать другим богам, то погибнете и вы за то, что перестали слушаться Господа, Бога вашего!»

1 «Исполняйте все заповеди, которые я даю вам сегодня, чтобы жить, разрастаться и стать великим народом. Вы получите землю, которую Господь обещал вашим предкам,

2 And thou shalt remember2142 853 all3605 the way1870 which834 the LORD3068 thy God430 led1980 thee these2088 forty705 years8141 in the wilderness,4057 to4616 humble6031 thee, and to prove5254 thee, to know3045 853 what834 was in thine heart,3824 whether thou wouldest keep8104 his commandments,4687 or518 not.3808

2 но на всём пути помните, что Господь, Бог ваш, сорок лет водил вас за Собой по пустыне. Господь испытывал вас, желая смирить, чтобы узнать, что у вас на сердце, и увидеть, будете ли вы следовать Его заповедям.

3 And he humbled6031 thee, and suffered thee to hunger,7456 and fed398 thee with854 manna,4478 which834 thou knewest3045 not,3808 neither3808 did thy fathers1 know;3045 that4616 he might make thee know3045 that3588 man120 doth not3808 live2421 by5921 bread3899 only,905 but3588 by5921 every3605 word that proceedeth out4161 of the mouth6310 of the LORD3068 doth man120 live.2421

3 Господь смирил вас и томил голодом, а затем накормил вас манной, о которой вы ничего не знали и которую никогда не видели ваши предки. Господь сделал это, чтобы вы знали, что не одним хлебом живёт человек и что человеческая жизнь зависит от слова Господа.

4 За эти сорок лет ваша одежда не износилась, и ноги у вас не опухали.

5 Помните, что всё это сделал для вас Господь, Бог ваш, как отец, наставляющий сына и исправляющий его ошибки.

6 Therefore thou shalt keep8104 853 the commandments4687 of the LORD3068 thy God,430 to walk1980 in his ways,1870 and to fear3372 him.

6 Исполняйте заповеди Господа, Бога вашего, следуйте Ему и почитайте Его.

7 For3588 the LORD3068 thy God430 bringeth935 thee into413 a good2896 land,776 a land776 of brooks5158 of water,4325 of fountains5869 and depths8415 that spring out3318 of valleys1237 and hills;2022

7 Господь, Бог ваш, введёт вас в добрую землю, землю с реками и источниками, где потоки воды текут из земли в долинах и на холмах,

9 туда, где у вас будет вдоволь еды и всего, что вам нужно, где камни — это железо, а из гор можно высекать медь.

10 У вас будет вдоволь любой еды, и тогда вы возблагодарите Господа, Бога вашего, за добрую землю, которую Он вам дал».

11 Beware8104 that thou forget not6435 7911 853 the LORD3068 thy God,430 in not1115 keeping8104 his commandments,4687 and his judgments,4941 and his statutes,2708 which834 I595 command6680 thee this day: 3117

11 «Будьте осторожны! Не забывайте Господа, Бога вашего! Соблюдайте заповеди, законы и предписания, кото рые я даю вам сегодня,

12 Lest6435 when thou hast eaten398 and art full,7646 and hast built1129 goodly2896 houses,1004 and dwelt3427 therein;

12 и тогда у вас будет вдоволь еды, вы построите хорошие дома и будете в них жить.

13 And when thy herds1241 and thy flocks6629 multiply,7235 and thy silver3701 and thy gold2091 is multiplied,7235 and all3605 that834 thou hast is multiplied;7235

13 Ваши коровы, овцы и козы будут тучными, у вас будет много золота и серебра, и всего будет в изобилии!

14 Then thine heart3824 be lifted up,7311 and thou forget7911 853 the LORD3068 thy God,430 which brought thee forth3318 out of the land4480 776 of Egypt,4714 from the house4480 1004 of bondage;5650

14 Но смотрите, не возгордитесь, не забудьте Господа, Бога вашего, потому что вы были рабами в Египте, Господь же освободил вас и вывел из той земли,

15 и провёл через огромную и страшную пустыню, полную ядовитых змей и скорпионов, где земля сухая и нет воды.

16 Who fed398 thee in the wilderness4057 with manna,4478 which834 thy fathers1 knew3045 not,3808 that4616 he might humble6031 thee, and that4616 he might prove5254 thee, to do thee good3190 at thy latter end;319

16 и накормил вас в пустыне манной, которую никогда не видели ваши предки, с целью испытать и смирить вас, чтобы в конечном итоге всё у вас было хорошо.

17 And thou say559 in thine heart,3824 My power3581 and the might6108 of mine hand3027 hath gotten6213 me853 this2088 wealth.2428

17 Никогда не говорите себе: „Я добыл всё это богатство своими собственными руками и своими силами”.

18 But thou shalt remember2142 853 the LORD3068 thy God:430 for3588 it is he1931 that giveth5414 thee power3581 to get6213 wealth,2428 that4616 he may establish6965 853 his covenant1285 which834 he swore7650 unto thy fathers,1 as it is this2088 day.3117

18 Помните Господа, Бога вашего, помните, что это Он дал вам силу сделать всё это, потому что желает соблюсти соглашение, заключённое с вашими предками, как Он делает это сегодня.

19 Никогда не забывайте Господа, Бога вашего! Не следуйте другим богам, не поклоняйтесь и не служите им. И сегодня я предупреждаю вас, что если вы будете так поступать, то погибнете!

20 As the nations1471 which834 the LORD3068 destroyeth6 before your face,4480 6440 so3651 shall ye perish;6 because6118 ye would not3808 be obedient8085 unto the voice6963 of the LORD3068 your God.430

20 Господь ради вас истребляет другие народы, но если вы станете следовать другим богам, то погибнете и вы за то, что перестали слушаться Господа, Бога вашего!»
