1 And the men376 of Ephraim669 said559 unto413 him, Why4100 hast thou served6213 us thus,2088 that thou calledst7121 us not,1115 when3588 thou wentest1980 to fight3898 with the Midianites?4080 And they did chide7378 with854 him sharply.2394

2 And he said559 unto413 them, What4100 have I done6213 now6258 in comparison of you? Is not3808 the gleaning of the grapes5955 of Ephraim669 better2896 than the vintage4480 1210 of Abi-ezer?44

3 God430 hath delivered5414 into your hands3027 853 the princes8269 of Midian,4080 853 Oreb6159 and Zeeb:2062 and what4100 was I able3201 to do6213 in comparison of you? Then227 their anger7307 was abated7503 toward4480 5921 him, when he had said1696 that.2088

4 And Gideon1439 came935 to Jordan,3383 and passed over,5674 he,1931 and the three7969 hundred3967 men376 that834 were with854 him, faint,5889 yet pursuing7291 them.

5 And he said559 unto the men376 of Succoth,5523 Give,5414 I pray you,4994 loaves3603 of bread3899 unto the people5971 that834 follow7272 me; for3588 they1992 be faint,5889 and I595 am pursuing7291 after310 Zebah2078 and Zalmunna,6759 kings4428 of Midian.4080

5 И сказал559 он жителям582 Сокхофа:5523 дайте5414 хлеба36033899 народу,5971 который идет за7272 мною; они утомились,5889 а я преследую7291310 Зевея2078 и Салмана,6759 царей4428 Мадиамских.4080

6 And the princes8269 of Succoth5523 said,559 Are the hands3709 of Zebah2078 and Zalmunna6759 now6258 in thine hand,3027 that3588 we should give5414 bread3899 unto thine army?6635

7 And Gideon1439 said,559 Therefore3651 when the LORD3068 hath delivered5414 853 Zebah2078 and Zalmunna6759 into mine hand,3027 then I will tear1758 853 your flesh1320 with854 the thorns6975 of the wilderness4057 and with854 briers.1303

7 И сказал559 Гедеон:1439 за это, когда предаст5414 Господь3068 Зевея2078 и Салмана6759 в руки3027 мои, я растерзаю1758 тело1320 ваше терновником6975 пустынным4057 и молотильными1303 зубчатыми1303 досками.1303

8 And he went up5927 thence4480 8033 to Penuel,6439 and spoke1696 unto413 them likewise:2063 and the men376 of Penuel6439 answered6030 him as834 the men376 of Succoth5523 had answered6030 him.

10 Now Zebah2078 and Zalmunna6759 were in Karkor,7174 and their hosts4264 with5973 them, about fifteen2568 6240 thousand505 men, all3605 that were left3498 of all4480 3605 the hosts4264 of the children1121 of the east:6924 for there fell5307 a hundred3967 and twenty6242 thousand505 men376 that drew8025 sword.2719

11 And Gideon1439 went up5927 by the way1870 of them that dwelt7931 in tents168 on the east4480 6924 of Nobah5025 and Jogbehah,3011 and smote5221 853 the host:4264 for the host4264 was1961 secure.983

|
|
14 And caught3920 a young man5288 of the men4480 376 of Succoth,5523 and inquired7592 of him: and he described3789 unto413 him853 the princes8269 of Succoth,5523 and the elders2205 thereof, even threescore and seventeen7657 7651 men.376

15 And he came935 unto413 the men376 of Succoth,5523 and said,559 Behold2009 Zebah2078 and Zalmunna,6759 with whom834 ye did upbraid2778 me, saying,559 Are the hands3709 of Zebah2078 and Zalmunna6759 now6258 in thine hand,3027 that3588 we should give5414 bread3899 unto thy men376 that are weary?3287

15 И пришел935 он к жителям582 Сокхофским,5523 и сказал:559 вот Зевей2078 и Салман,6759 за которых вы посмеялись2778 надо мною, говоря:559 разве рука3709 Зевея2078 и Салмана6759 уже в твоей руке,3027 чтобы нам давать5414 хлеб3899 утомившимся3287 людям582 твоим?

16 And he took3947 853 the elders2205 of the city,5892 and thorns6975 of the wilderness4057 and briers,1303 and with them he taught3045 853 the men376 of Succoth.5523

16 И взял3947 старейшин2205 города5892 и терновник6975 пустынный4057 и зубчатые1303 молотильные1303 доски1303 и наказал3045 ими жителей582 Сокхофа;5523
|
|
17 And he beat down5422 the tower4026 of Penuel,6439 and slew2026 853 the men376 of the city.5892
|
17 и башню4026 Пенуэльскую6439 разрушил,5422 и перебил2026 жителей582 города.5892
|
|
18 Then said559 he unto413 Zebah2078 and Zalmunna,6759 What manner375 of men376 were they whom834 ye slew2026 at Tabor?8396 And they answered,559 As thou3644 art, so were they; each one259 resembled8389 the children1121 of a king.4428

19 And he said,559 They1992 were my brethren,251 even the sons1121 of my mother:517 as the LORD3068 liveth,2416 if3863 ye had saved them alive,2421 853 I would not3808 slay2026 you.

20 And he said559 unto Jether3500 his firstborn,1060 Up,6965 and slay2026 them. But the youth5288 drew8025 not3808 his sword:2719 for3588 he feared,3372 because3588 he was yet5750 a youth.5288

20 И сказал559 Иеферу,3500 первенцу1060 своему: встань,6965 убей2026 их. Но юноша5288 не извлек8025 меча2719 своего, потому что боялся,3372 так как был еще молод.5288

21 Then Zebah2078 and Zalmunna6759 said,559 Rise6965 thou,859 and fall6293 upon us: for3588 as the man376 is, so is his strength.1369 And Gideon1439 arose,6965 and slew2026 853 Zebah2078 and Zalmunna,6759 and took away3947 853 the ornaments7720 that834 were on their camels'1581 necks.6677

21 И сказали559 Зевей2078 и Салман:6759 встань6965 сам и порази6293 нас, потому что по человеку376 и сила1369 его. И встал6965 Гедеон,1439 и убил2026 Зевея2078 и Салмана,6759 и взял3947 пряжки,7720 бывшие на шеях6677 верблюдов1581 их.

22 Then the men376 of Israel3478 said559 unto413 Gideon,1439 Rule4910 thou over us, both1571 thou,859 and1571 thy son,1121 and thy son's1121 son1121 also:1571 for3588 thou hast delivered3467 us from the hand4480 3027 of Midian.4080

22 И сказали559 Израильтяне3763478 Гедеону:1439 владей4910 нами ты и сын1121 твой и сын1121 сына1121 твоего, ибо ты спас3467 нас из руки3027 Мадианитян.4080
|
|
23 And Gideon1439 said559 unto413 them, I589 will not3808 rule4910 over you, neither3808 shall my son1121 rule4910 over you: the LORD3068 shall rule4910 over you.
|
23 Гедеон1439 сказал559 им: ни я не буду4910 владеть4910 вами, ни мой сын1121 не будет4910 владеть4910 вами; Господь3068 да владеет4910 вами.

|
24 And Gideon1439 said559 unto413 them, I would desire7592 a request7596 of4480 you, that ye would give5414 me every man376 the earrings5141 of his prey.7998 (For3588 they had golden2091 earrings,5141 because3588 they1992 were Ishmaelites.)3459

24 И сказал559 им Гедеон:1439 прошу7592 у вас одного,7596 дайте5414 мне каждый376 по серьге5141 из добычи7998 своей. (Ибо у неприятелей много было золотых2091 серег,5141 потому что они были Измаильтяне.)3459

|
25 And they answered,559 We will willingly give5414 5414 them. And they spread6566 853 a garment,8071 and did cast7993 therein8033 every man376 the earrings5141 of his prey.7998
|
25 Они сказали:559 дадим.5414 И разостлали6566 одежду8071 и бросали7993 туда каждый376 по серьге5141 из добычи7998 своей.

|
26 And the weight4948 of the golden2091 earrings5141 that834 he requested7592 was1961 a thousand505 and seven7651 hundred3967 shekels of gold;2091 beside905 4480 ornaments,7720 and collars,5188 and purple713 raiment899 that was on7945 5921 the kings4428 of Midian,4080 and beside905 4480 the chains6060 that834 were about their camels'1581 necks.6677

26 Весу4948 в золотых2091 серьгах,5141 которые он выпросил,7592 было тысяча505 семьсот76513967 золотых2091 сиклей, кроме пряжек,7720 пуговиц5188 и пурпуровых713 одежд,899 которые были на царях4428 Мадиамских,4080 и кроме золотых цепочек,6060 которые были на шее6677 у верблюдов1581 их.

27 And Gideon1439 made6213 an ephod646 thereof, and put3322 it in his city,5892 even in Ophrah:6084 and all3605 Israel3478 went thither a whoring2181 8033 after310 it: which thing became1961 a snare4170 unto Gideon,1439 and to his house.1004

28 Thus was Midian4080 subdued3665 before6440 the children1121 of Israel,3478 so that they lifted up5375 their heads7218 no3808 more.3254 And the country776 was in quietness8252 forty705 years8141 in the days3117 of Gideon.1439
|
28 Так смирились3665 Мадианитяне4080 пред3942 сынами1121 Израиля3478 и не стали5375 уже3254 поднимать5375 головы7218 своей, и покоилась8252 земля776 сорок705 лет8141 во дни3117 Гедеона.1439
|
|
29 And Jerubbaal3378 the son1121 of Joash3101 went1980 and dwelt3427 in his own house.1004
|
29 И пошел3212 Иероваал,3378 сын1121 Иоасов,3101 и жил3427 в доме1004 своем.
|
|
30 And Gideon1439 had1961 threescore and ten7657 sons1121 of his body3409 begotten:3318 for3588 he had1961 many7227 wives.802
|
30 У Гедеона1439 было семьдесят7657 сыновей,1121 происшедших3318 от чресл3409 его, потому что у него много7227 было жен.802
|
|
31 And his concubine6370 that834 was in Shechem,7927 she1931 also1571 bore3205 him a son,1121 853 whose name8034 he called7760 Abimelech.40
|
31 Также и наложница,6370 жившая в Сихеме,7927 родила3205 ему сына,1121 и он дал7760 ему имя8034 Авимелех.40
|
|
32 And Gideon1439 the son1121 of Joash3101 died4191 in a good2896 old age,7872 and was buried6912 in the sepulcher6913 of Joash3101 his father,1 in Ophrah6084 of the Abi-ezrites.33
|
32 И умер4191 Гедеон,1439 сын1121 Иоасов,3101 в глубокой2896 старости,7872 и погребен6912 во гробе6913 отца1 своего Иоаса,3101 в Офре6084 Авиезеровой.33
|
|
33 And it came to pass,1961 as soon as834 Gideon1439 was dead,4191 that the children1121 of Israel3478 turned again,7725 and went a whoring2181 after310 Baalim,1168 and made7760 Baal-berith1170 their god.430
|
33 Когда умер4191 Гедеон,1439 сыны1121 Израилевы3478 опять7725 стали2181 блудно2181 ходить2181 вслед310 Ваалов1168 и поставили7760 себе богом430 Ваалверифа;1170
|
|
34 And the children1121 of Israel3478 remembered2142 not3808 853 the LORD3068 their God,430 who had delivered5337 853 them out of the hands4480 3027 of all3605 their enemies341 on every side:4480 5439
|
34 и не вспомнили2142 сыны1121 Израилевы3478 Господа3068 Бога430 своего, Который избавлял5337 их из руки3027 всех врагов,341 окружавших5439 их;
|
|
35 Neither3808 showed6213 they kindness2617 to5973 the house1004 of Jerubbaal,3378 namely, Gideon,1439 according to all3605 the goodness2896 which834 he had showed6213 unto5973 Israel.3478
|
