Chapter 12

1 THE vision of the words of the LORD concerning Israel. Thus says the LORD, who stretched out the heavens and laid the foundations of the earth and created the spirit of man within him:

2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a fearful place to all the people round about her, also there shall be a siege both against Judah together with Jerusalem.

3 And it shall come to pass in that day, I will make Jerusalem a stone for all the people to trample on; all who trample on it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

4 On that day, says the LORD, I will smite all horses with stupor, and their riders with confusion; and I will open my eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the Gentiles with blindness.

5 And the princes of Judah shall say in their hearts, The inhabitants of Jerusalem are stronger than we through the LORD of hosts their God.

6 On that day I will make the princes of Judah like a fiery coal in the midst of wood, and like a torch of fire in stubble; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left; and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in its own place, even in Jerusalem.

7 The LORD also shall visit the tents of Judah, as at first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem may not magnify itself over the house of Judah.

8 On that day the LORD shall defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; so that he who is weak among them on that day shall be like David; and the house of David shall be like God, like the angel of the LORD who is before them.

9 And it shall come to pass in that day that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

10 And I will pour out upon the house of David and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem the spirit of grace and of mercies; and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him as they mourn for an only son, and shall grieve for him as they grieve over the first-born.

11 On that day there shall be a great mourning in Jerusalem, like the mourning of Bar-amon in the plain of Megiddo.

12 And the land shall mourn, every family together; the family of the house of David together, and their wives together; the family of the house of Nathan together, and their wives together;

13 The family of the house of Levi together, and their wives together; and the family of the house of Simeon together, and their wives together;

14 All the families that are left shall mourn, each family together, and their wives together.

2 Siehe, ich will Jerusalem3389 zum Taumelbecher5592 zurichten allen Völkern5971, die umher5439 sind; denn es7760 wird auch Juda3063 gelten, wenn Jerusalem3389 belagert4692 wird.

3 Dennoch zur selbigen Zeit3117 will ich Jerusalem3389 machen7760 zum Laststein4614 allen Völkern5971. Alle, die denselbigen wegheben wollen6006, sollen sich daran8295 zerschneiden; denn es werden sich alle Heiden1471 auf Erden776 wider sie68 versammeln622.

4 Zu7392 der Zeit3117, spricht5002 der HErr3068, will ich alle Rosse5483 scheu8541 und1004 ihren Reitern bange7697 machen5221; aber über Jerusalem will ich meine Augen5869 offen6491 haben und alle Rosse5483 der Völker5971 mit Blindheit5788 plagen.

5 Und die3427 Fürsten441 in Juda3063 werden sagen559 in ihrem Herzen3820: Es seien mir nur die Bürger zu Jerusalem3389 getrost556 in dem HErrn3068 Zebaoth6635, ihrem GOtt430!

6 Zu der Zeit3117 will ich die Fürsten441 Judas machen7760 zum feurigen784 Ofen im Holz6086 und zur Fackel3940 im Stroh5995, daß sie3427 verzehren398, beide, zur Rechten3225 und zur Linken8040, alle Völker5971 um5439 und um. Und Jerusalem3389 soll auch fürder bleiben an ihrem Ort zu Jerusalem3389.

7 Und der HErr3068 wird1431 die3427 Hütten Judas erretten3467 wie7223 vorzeiten, auf1004 daß sich8597 nicht hoch rühme das Haus168 David1732 noch die Bürger zu Jerusalem3389 wider Juda3063.

8 Zu der Zeit3117 wird der HErr3068 beschirmen1598 die3427 Bürger zu Jerusalem3389; und wird geschehen, daß, welcher schwach3782 sein wird unter6440 ihnen zu der Zeit3117, wird sein wie David1732; und das Haus1004 David1732 wird sein wie Gottes430 Haus, wie des HErrn3068 Engel4397 vor ihnen.

9 Und zu der Zeit3117 werde ich gedenken1245 zu vertilgen8045 alle Heiden1471, die wider Jerusalem3389 gezogen sind935.

10 Aber über das Haus1004 David1732 und über die Bürger zu Jerusalem3389 will ich ausgießen8210 den Geist7307 der Gnade2580 und des Gebets8469; denn sie5594 werden mich ansehen, welchen jene zerstochen haben1856, und werden ihn klagen4553, wie man klaget ein einiges Kind1060, und werden sich3427 um ihn betrüben4843, wie man sich5027 betrübet um ein erstes Kind.

11 Zu der Zeit3117 wird1431 große Klage4553 sein zu Jerusalem3389, wie die war bei Hadad-Rimon im Felde1237 Megiddo4023.

12 Und das Land776 wird klagen5594, ein jeglich Geschlecht4940 besonders905: das Geschlecht4940 des Hauses1004 David1732 besonders und ihre Weiber802 besonders, das Geschlecht4940 des Hauses1004 Nathan5416 besonders und ihre Weiber802 besonders,

13 das Geschlecht4940 des Hauses1004 Levi3878 besonders und ihre Weiber802 besonders, das Geschlecht4940 Simei besonders und ihre Weiber802 besonders;

14 also alle übrigen7604 Geschlechter4940, ein jegliches besonders und ihre Weiber802 auch besonders.
