Leviticus

Chapter 13

1 AND the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying,

2 When a man shall have a sore on the skin of his body, or a scab or a shiny spot, and it be on the skin of his body like the plague of leprosy, then he shall be brought to Aaron the priest or to one of his sons the priests;

3 And the priest shall look on the disease on the skin of his body; and if the hair in the sore is turned white and the appearance of the plague is deeper than the skin of his body, it is a plague of leprosy; and the priest shall look on it and pronounce him unclean.

4 And if the shiny spot be white on the skin of his body, but does not appear to be deeper than the skin, and the hair in it has not turned white; then the priest shall observe the disease for seven days;

5 And the priest shall look on him on the seventh day, and if the disease has remained in its place and has not spread in the skin, then the priest shall observe it seven days more.

6 And the priest shall look on him after seven days, and if the disease has been checked and has not spread in the skin, the priest shall pronounce him clean; because it is only a scab, and he shall wash his clothes and be clean.

7 But if the scab spreads much in the skin after that the priest has seen it and cleaned it, he shall show it to the priest again;

8 And if the priest shall see that the scab has spread in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean because it is leprosy.

9 When the plague of leprosy is in a man, then he shall be brought to the priest;

10 And the priest shall see him, and if there is a white swelling in the skin and it has turned the hair white and the indication of the flesh is raw in the swelling,

11 It is an old leprosy in the skin of his body, and the priest shall pronounce him unclean and shall not shut him up; for he is unclean.

12 And if the leprosy breaks out all over his skin, so that the leprosy covers all of the skin of him who has the plague from his head to his feet, wherever the priest looks,

13 Then the priest shall consider; and, behold, if the leprosy has covered all his body, he shall pronounce him clean of the plague; for it has all turned white; he is clean.

14 But on the day when raw flesh appears on him, he shall become unclean.

15 And the priest shall see the raw flesh, and pronounce the raw flesh unclean; for it is unclean; it is leprosy.

16 Or if the raw flesh turns again, and is changed to white, then he shall be brought to the priest;

17 And the priest shall see him; and if the plague has turned white, then the priest shall pronounce him clean that has the plague; he is clean.

18 The flesh also, if there is in the skin thereof a boil and it is healed,

19 And in the place of the boil there be a white swelling or a shiny spot, white or reddish, it shall be shown to the priest;

20 And when the priest sees it, if it appears deeper than the skin and its hair has turned white, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean; for it is a plague of leprosy broken out of the boil.

21 But if the priest look on it, and, behold, there is no white hair in it and if it is not deeper than the skin but is even with the skin, then the priest shall observe it seven days;

22 And if it spreads much in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean; because it is the plague of leprosy.

23 But if the shiny spot stays in its place and spreads not, it is a scar of the boil, and the priest shall pronounce him clean.

24 Or if a person's body has a burn on its skin, and the quick flesh of the burn has a shiny spot, somewhat white or reddish,

25 Then the priest shall look on it, and if the hair in the shiny spot has turned white, and it appears to be deeper than the skin, it is a leprosy broken out in the burn; wherefore the priest shall pronounce him unclean; because it is the plague of leprosy.

26 But if the priest look on it, and there is no white hair in the shiny spot and it is no deeper than the skin, but is even; then the priest shall observe it seven days;

27 And the priest shall look upon him the seventh day; and if it has spread in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean; because it is the plague of leprosy.

28 And if the shiny spot stays in its place and does not spread in the skin and is somewhat even, it is a scab of the burn, and the priest shall pronounce him clean; because it is the scab of the burn.

29 If a man or woman has a disease on the head or the beard;

30 Then the priest shall see the disease; and, if it appears deeper than the skin, and there be in it yellow thin hair, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean; because it is the disease of leprosy of the head or beard.

31 And if the priest look on the disease, and it does not appear deeper than the skin and there is no black hair in it; then the priest shall observe it seven days;

32 And on the seventh day the priest shall look on the disease; and if the disease has not spread, and if there is no yellow hair in it and the appearance of the disease is not deeper than the skin.

33 Then he shall shave the sides of the sore, but the sore he shall not shave; and the priest shall observe the disease seven days more;

34 And on the seventh day the priest shall look on the disease; and if the disease has not spread in the skin and does not appear deeper than the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him clean, and he shall wash his clothes and be clean.

35 But if the disease spreads much in the skin after his cleansing,

36 Then the priest shall look on him; and if the disease has spread in the skin, the priest shall not look for yellow hair; he is unclean.

37 But if the disease remains in its place and there is black hair grown up in it; the disease is healed, he is clean; and the priest shall pronounce him clean.

38 If a man or a woman have in the skin of the body shiny spots, bright or white spots,

39 Then the priest shall look; and if the shiny spots in the skin of the body are darkish white or reddish, it is a scab that has grown on the skin; he is clean.

40 And the man whose hair is fallen off his head, he is bald; yet he is clean.

41 And he whose hair has fallen off from the part of his head toward his face, he is forehead bald; yet he is clean.

42 And if there is on his bald head or bald forehead a white or reddish sore, it is leprosy breaking out on his bald head or his bald forehead.

43 Then the priest shall look on the swelling of the sore; and if the sore is white or reddish on his bald head or on his bald forehead like the appearance of leprosy in the skin of the body,

44 He is a leprous man, he is unclean; the priest shall pronounce him utterly unclean; for the disease is on his head.

45 And he who has the plague, his clothes shall be rent and his head shaved, and he shall cover his lips and call himself unclean.

46 All the days wherein the plague is on him he shall be defiled; for he is unclean; he shall dwell alone; outside the camp shall his habitation be.

47 If a garment has leprous disease in it, whether it be a woolen garment or a linen garment,

48 Whether it be in the warp or woof, of linen or of woolen, in a skin or in anything made of skin,

49 And if the plague is greenish or reddish in the garment or in the skin, either in the warp or in the woof or in anything of skin, it is a plague of leprosy and shall be shown to the priest;

50 And the priest shall look upon the plague and observe it seven days;

51 And the priest shall look on the plague on the seventh day; if the disease has spread in the garment, either in the warp or in the woof or in a skin or in any article that is made of skin, the plague is a malignant leprosy; it is unclean.

52 He shall therefore burn the garment whether warp or woof, in woolen or in linen, or anything of skin in which is the plague; for it is a malignant leprosy; it shall be burned in the fire.

53 And if the priest shall look, and the plague has not spread in the garment either in the warp or in the woof or in anything of skin,

54 Then the priest shall command that they wash the thing in which is the plague and he shall observe it seven days more;

55 And the priest shall look on the plague after it is washed; and if the plague has not changed its appearance and the disease has not changed its color and the plague has not spread, it is unclean; you shall burn it in the fire; it has been diseased when it was new or when old.

56 And if the priest sees that the disease has diminished after being washed, then he shall rend it out of the garment or out of the skin or out of the warp or out of the woof;

57 And if it appears still in the garment, either in the warp or in the woof or in anything of skin, they shall burn it with fire, for the plague has spread in it.

58 And the garment, either warp or woof or anything of skin which has been washed, if the disease departs from them, then it shall be washed the second time and shall be clean.

59 This is the law of the plague of leprosy in a garment of woolen or linen, either in the warp or woof or anything of skin, to pronounce it clean or to pronounce it unclean.

Chapter 13

1 And the LORD3068 spoke1696 to Moses4872 and Aaron,175 saying,559

2 When3588 a man120 shall have1961 in the skin5785 of his flesh1320 a rising,7613 a scab,5597 or176 bright934 spot,934 and it be in the skin5785 of his flesh1320 like the plague5061 of leprosy;6883 then he shall be brought935 to Aaron175 the priest,3548 or176 to one259 of his sons1121 the priests:3548

3 And the priest3548 shall look7200 on the plague5061 in the skin5785 of the flesh:1320 and when the hair8181 in the plague5061 is turned2015 white,3836 and the plague5061 in sight4758 be deeper6013 than the skin5785 of his flesh,1320 it is a plague5061 of leprosy:6883 and the priest3548 shall look7200 on him, and pronounce him unclean.2930

4 If518 the bright934 spot934 be white3836 in the skin5785 of his flesh,1320 and in sight4758 be not deeper6013 than the skin,5785 and the hair8181 thereof be not turned2015 white;3836 then the priest3548 shall shut5462 up him that has the plague5061 seven7651 days:3117

5 And the priest3548 shall look7200 on him the seventh7637 day:3117 and, behold,2009 if the plague5061 in his sight5869 be at a stay,5975 and the plague5061 spread6581 not in the skin;5785 then the priest3548 shall shut5462 him up seven7651 days3117 more:8145

6 And the priest3548 shall look7200 on him again8145 the seventh7637 day:3117 and, behold,2009 if the plague5061 be somewhat3544 dark,3544 and the plague5061 spread6581 not in the skin,5785 the priest3548 shall pronounce him clean:2891 it is but a scab:4556 and he shall wash3526 his clothes,899 and be clean.2891

7 But if518 the scab4556 spread6581 much6581 abroad6581 in the skin,5785 after310 that he has been seen7200 of the priest3548 for his cleansing,2893 he shall be seen7200 of the priest3548 again.8145

8 And if the priest3548 see7200 that, behold,2009 the scab4556 spreads6581 in the skin,5785 then the priest3548 shall pronounce him unclean:2930 it is a leprosy.6883

9 When3588 the plague5061 of leprosy6883 is in a man,120 then he shall be brought935 to the priest;3548

10 And the priest3548 shall see7200 him: and, behold,2009 if the rising7613 be white3836 in the skin,5785 and it have turned2015 the hair8181 white,3836 and there be quick4241 raw2416 flesh1320 in the rising;7613

11 It is an old3462 leprosy6883 in the skin5785 of his flesh,1320 and the priest3548 shall pronounce him unclean,2930 and shall not shut5462 him up: for he is unclean.2931

12 And if518 a leprosy6883 break6524 out abroad6524 in the skin,5785 and the leprosy6883 cover3680 all3605 the skin5785 of him that has the plague5061 from his head7218 even to his foot,7272 wherever3605 the priest3548 looks;4758

13 Then the priest3548 shall consider:7200 and, behold,2009 if the leprosy6883 have covered3680 all3605 his flesh,1320 he shall pronounce him clean2891 that has the plague:5061 it is all3605 turned2015 white:3836 he is clean.2889

14 But when3117 raw2416 flesh1320 appears7200 in him, he shall be unclean.2930

15 And the priest3548 shall see7200 the raw2416 flesh,1320 and pronounce him to be unclean:2930 for the raw2416 flesh1320 is unclean:2931 it is a leprosy.6883

16 Or176 if3588 the raw2416 flesh1320 turn7725 again,7725 and be changed2015 to white,3836 he shall come935 to the priest;3548

17 And the priest3548 shall see7200 him: and, behold,2009 if the plague5061 be turned2015 into white;3836 then the priest3548 shall pronounce him clean2891 that has the plague:5061 he is clean.2889

18 The flesh1320 also, in which, even in the skin5785 thereof, was a boil,7822 and is healed,7495

19 And in the place4725 of the boil7822 there be a white3836 rising,7613 or176 a bright934 spot,934 white,3836 and somewhat reddish,125 and it be showed7200 to the priest;3548

20 And if, when the priest3548 sees7200 it, behold,2009 it be in sight4758 lower8217 than the skin,5785 and the hair8181 thereof be turned2015 white;3836 the priest3548 shall pronounce him unclean:2930 it is a plague5061 of leprosy6883 broken6524 out of the boil.7822

21 But if518 the priest3548 look7200 on it, and, behold,2009 there be no369 white3836 hairs8181 therein, and if518 it be not lower8217 than4480 the skin,5785 but be somewhat3544 dark;3544 then the priest3548 shall shut5462 him up seven7651 days:3117

22 And if518 it spread6581 much6581 abroad6581 in the skin,5785 then the priest3548 shall pronounce him unclean:2930 it is a plague.5061

23 But if518 the bright934 spot934 stay5975 in his place, and spread6581 not, it is a burning6867 boil;7822 and the priest3548 shall pronounce him clean.2891

24 Or176 if3588 there be any flesh,1320 in the skin5785 whereof there is a hot784 burning,4348 and the quick4241 flesh that burns4348 have1961 a white3836 bright934 spot,934 somewhat reddish,125 or176 white;3836

25 Then the priest3548 shall look7200 on it: and, behold,2009 if the hair8181 in the bright934 spot934 be turned2015 white,3836 and it be in sight4758 deeper6013 than4480 the skin;5785 it is a leprosy6883 broken6524 out of the burning:4348 why the priest3548 shall pronounce him unclean:2930 it is the plague5061 of leprosy.6883

26 But if the priest3548 look7200 on it, and, behold,2009 there be no369 white3836 hair8181 in the bright934 spot,934 and it be no369 lower8217 than4480 the other skin,5785 but be somewhat3544 dark;3544 then the priest3548 shall shut5462 him up seven7651 days:3117

27 And the priest3548 shall look7200 on him the seventh7637 day:3117 and if518 it be spread6581 much6581 abroad6581 in the skin,5785 then the priest3548 shall pronounce him unclean:2930 it is the plague5061 of leprosy.6883

28 And if518 the bright934 spot934 stay5975 in his place,8478 and spread6581 not in the skin,5785 but it be somewhat3544 dark;3544 it is a rising7613 of the burning,4348 and the priest3548 shall pronounce him clean:2891 for it is an inflammation6867 of the burning.4348

29 If3588 a man376 or176 woman802 have1961 a plague5061 on the head7218 or176 the beard;2206

30 Then the priest3548 shall see7200 the plague:5061 and, behold,2009 if3588 it be in sight4758 deeper6013 than4480 the skin;5785 and there be in it a yellow6669 thin1851 hair;8181 then the priest3548 shall pronounce him unclean:2930 it is a dry5424 scale,5424 even a leprosy6883 on the head7218 or176 beard.2206

31 And if3588 the priest3548 look7200 on the plague5061 of the scale,5424 and, behold,2009 it be not in sight4758 deeper6013 than4480 the skin,5785 and that there is no369 black7838 hair8181 in it; then the priest3548 shall shut5462 up him that has the plague5061 of the scale5424 seven7651 days:3117

32 And in the seventh7637 day3117 the priest3548 shall look7200 on the plague:5061 and, behold,2009 if the scale5424 spread6581 not, and there be in it no3808 yellow6669 hair,8181 and the scale5424 be not in sight4758 deeper6013 than4480 the skin;5785

33 He shall be shaven,1548 but the scale5424 shall he not shave;1548 and the priest3548 shall shut5462 up him that has the scale5424 seven7651 days3117 more:8145

34 And in the seventh7637 day3117 the priest3548 shall look7200 on the scale:5424 and, behold,2009 if the scale5424 be not spread6581 in the skin,5785 nor be in sight4758 deeper6013 than4480 the skin;5785 then the priest3548 shall pronounce him clean:2891 and he shall wash3526 his clothes,899 and be clean.2891

35 But if3588 the scale5424 spread6581 much6581 in the skin5785 after310 his cleansing;2893

36 Then the priest3548 shall look7200 on him: and, behold,2009 if the scale5424 be spread6581 in the skin,5785 the priest3548 shall not seek1239 for yellow6669 hair;8181 he is unclean.2931

37 But if518 the scale5424 be in his sight5869 at a stay,5975 and that there is black7838 hair8181 grown6779 up therein; the scale5424 is healed,7495 he is clean:2889 and the priest3548 shall pronounce him clean.2891

38 If a man376 also or176 a woman802 have1961 in the skin5785 of their flesh1320 bright934 spots,934 even white3836 bright934 spots;934

39 Then the priest3548 shall look:7200 and, behold,2009 if the bright934 spots934 in the skin5785 of their flesh1320 be darkish3544 white;3836 it is a freckled933 spot933 that grows6524 in the skin;5785 he is clean.2889

40 And the man376 whose3588 hair4803 is fallen4803 off his head,7218 he is bald;7142 yet is he clean.2889

41 And he that has his hair4803 fallen4803 off from the part of his head7218 toward his face,6440 he is forehead1371 bald:1371 yet is he clean.2889

42 And if3588 there be in the bald7146 head, or176 bald1372 forehead,1372 a white3836 reddish125 sore;5061 it is a leprosy6883 sprung6524 up in his bald7146 head, or176 his bald1372 forehead.1372

43 Then the priest3548 shall look7200 on it: and, behold,2009 if the rising7613 of the sore5061 be white3836 reddish125 in his bald7146 head, or176 in his bald1372 forehead,1372 as the leprosy6883 appears4758 in the skin5785 of the flesh;1320

44 He is a leprous6879 man,376 he is unclean:2931 the priest3548 shall pronounce him utterly unclean;2930 his plague5061 is in his head.7218

45 And the leper6879 in whom834 the plague5061 is, his clothes899 shall be rent,6533 and his head7218 bore,6544 and he shall put a covering5844 on his upper8222 lip,8222 and shall cry,7121 Unclean,2931 unclean.2931

46 All3605 the days3117 wherein834 the plague5061 shall be in him he shall be defiled;2930 he is unclean:2931 he shall dwell3427 alone;909 without2351 the camp4264 shall his habitation4186 be.

47 The garment899 also that the plague5061 of leprosy6883 is in, whether it be a woolen6785 garment,899 or176 a linen6593 garment;899

48 Whether176 it be in the warp,8359 or176 woof;6154 of linen,6593 or176 of woolen;6785 whether176 in a skin,5785 or176 in any3605 thing4399 made4399 of skin;5785

49 And if the plague5061 be greenish3422 or176 reddish125 in the garment,899 or176 in the skin,5785 either176 in the warp,8359 or176 in the woof,6154 or176 in any3605 thing3627 of skin;5785 it is a plague5061 of leprosy,6883 and shall be showed7200 to the priest:3548

50 And the priest3548 shall look7200 on the plague,5061 and shut5462 up it that has the plague5061 seven7651 days:3117

51 And he shall look7200 on the plague5061 on the seventh7637 day:3117 if3588 the plague5061 be spread6581 in the garment,899 either176 in the warp,8359 or176 in the woof,6154 or176 in a skin,5785 or in any3605 work4399 that is made6213 of skin;5785 the plague5061 is a fretting3992 leprosy;6883 it is unclean.2931

52 He shall therefore burn8313 that garment,899 whether176 warp8359 or176 woof,6154 in woolen6785 or176 in linen,6593 or176 any3605 thing3627 of skin,5785 wherein834 the plague5061 is: for it is a fretting3992 leprosy;6883 it shall be burnt8313 in the fire.784

53 And if518 the priest3548 shall look,7200 and, behold,2009 the plague5061 be not spread6581 in the garment,899 either176 in the warp,8359 or176 in the woof,6154 or176 in any3605 thing3627 of skin;5785

54 Then the priest3548 shall command6680 that they wash3526 the thing wherein834 the plague5061 is, and he shall shut5462 it up seven7651 days3117 more:8145

55 And the priest3548 shall look7200 on the plague,5061 after310 that it is washed:3526 and, behold,2009 if the plague5061 have not changed2015 his color,5869 and the plague5061 be not spread;6581 it is unclean;2931 you shall burn8313 it in the fire;784 it is fret6356 inward, whether it be bore7146 within7146 or without.1372

56 And if the priest3548 look,7200 and, behold,2009 the plague5061 be somewhat3544 dark3544 after310 the washing3526 of it; then he shall rend7167 it out of the garment,899 or176 out of the skin,5785 or176 out of the warp,8359 or176 out of the woof:6154

57 And if518 it appear7200 still5750 in the garment,899 either176 in the warp,8359 or176 in the woof,6154 or176 in any3605 thing3627 of skin;5785 it is a spreading6524 plague: you shall burn8313 that wherein834 the plague5061 is with fire.784

58 And the garment,899 either176 warp,8359 or176 woof,6154 or176 whatever3605 thing3627 of skin5785 it be, which834 you shall wash,3526 if the plague5061 be departed5493 from them, then it shall be washed3526 the second8145 time, and shall be clean.2891

59 This2063 is the law8451 of the plague5061 of leprosy6883 in a garment899 of woolen6785 or176 linen,6593 either176 in the warp,8359 or176 woof,6154 or176 any3605 thing3627 of skins,5785 to pronounce it clean,2891 or176 to pronounce it unclean.2930

3 And the priest shall look on the disease on the skin of his body; and if the hair in the sore is turned white and the appearance of the plague is deeper than the skin of his body, it is a plague of leprosy; and the priest shall look on it and pronounce him unclean.

4 And if the shiny spot be white on the skin of his body, but does not appear to be deeper than the skin, and the hair in it has not turned white; then the priest shall observe the disease for seven days;

5 And the priest shall look on him on the seventh day, and if the disease has remained in its place and has not spread in the skin, then the priest shall observe it seven days more.

6 And the priest shall look on him after seven days, and if the disease has been checked and has not spread in the skin, the priest shall pronounce him clean; because it is only a scab, and he shall wash his clothes and be clean.

7 But if the scab spreads much in the skin after that the priest has seen it and cleaned it, he shall show it to the priest again;

7 But if518 the scab4556 spread6581 much6581 abroad6581 in the skin,5785 after310 that he has been seen7200 of the priest3548 for his cleansing,2893 he shall be seen7200 of the priest3548 again.8145

8 And if the priest shall see that the scab has spread in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean because it is leprosy.

8 And if the priest3548 see7200 that, behold,2009 the scab4556 spreads6581 in the skin,5785 then the priest3548 shall pronounce him unclean:2930 it is a leprosy.6883

9 When the plague of leprosy is in a man, then he shall be brought to the priest;

9 When3588 the plague5061 of leprosy6883 is in a man,120 then he shall be brought935 to the priest;3548

10 And the priest shall see him, and if there is a white swelling in the skin and it has turned the hair white and the indication of the flesh is raw in the swelling,

10 And the priest3548 shall see7200 him: and, behold,2009 if the rising7613 be white3836 in the skin,5785 and it have turned2015 the hair8181 white,3836 and there be quick4241 raw2416 flesh1320 in the rising;7613

11 It is an old leprosy in the skin of his body, and the priest shall pronounce him unclean and shall not shut him up; for he is unclean.

11 It is an old3462 leprosy6883 in the skin5785 of his flesh,1320 and the priest3548 shall pronounce him unclean,2930 and shall not shut5462 him up: for he is unclean.2931

12 And if the leprosy breaks out all over his skin, so that the leprosy covers all of the skin of him who has the plague from his head to his feet, wherever the priest looks,

12 And if518 a leprosy6883 break6524 out abroad6524 in the skin,5785 and the leprosy6883 cover3680 all3605 the skin5785 of him that has the plague5061 from his head7218 even to his foot,7272 wherever3605 the priest3548 looks;4758

13 Then the priest shall consider; and, behold, if the leprosy has covered all his body, he shall pronounce him clean of the plague; for it has all turned white; he is clean.

13 Then the priest3548 shall consider:7200 and, behold,2009 if the leprosy6883 have covered3680 all3605 his flesh,1320 he shall pronounce him clean2891 that has the plague:5061 it is all3605 turned2015 white:3836 he is clean.2889

14 But on the day when raw flesh appears on him, he shall become unclean.

14 But when3117 raw2416 flesh1320 appears7200 in him, he shall be unclean.2930

15 And the priest shall see the raw flesh, and pronounce the raw flesh unclean; for it is unclean; it is leprosy.

15 And the priest3548 shall see7200 the raw2416 flesh,1320 and pronounce him to be unclean:2930 for the raw2416 flesh1320 is unclean:2931 it is a leprosy.6883

16 Or if the raw flesh turns again, and is changed to white, then he shall be brought to the priest;

16 Or176 if3588 the raw2416 flesh1320 turn7725 again,7725 and be changed2015 to white,3836 he shall come935 to the priest;3548

17 And the priest shall see him; and if the plague has turned white, then the priest shall pronounce him clean that has the plague; he is clean.

17 And the priest3548 shall see7200 him: and, behold,2009 if the plague5061 be turned2015 into white;3836 then the priest3548 shall pronounce him clean2891 that has the plague:5061 he is clean.2889

18 The flesh also, if there is in the skin thereof a boil and it is healed,

18 The flesh1320 also, in which, even in the skin5785 thereof, was a boil,7822 and is healed,7495

19 And in the place of the boil there be a white swelling or a shiny spot, white or reddish, it shall be shown to the priest;

19 And in the place4725 of the boil7822 there be a white3836 rising,7613 or176 a bright934 spot,934 white,3836 and somewhat reddish,125 and it be showed7200 to the priest;3548

20 And when the priest sees it, if it appears deeper than the skin and its hair has turned white, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean; for it is a plague of leprosy broken out of the boil.

21 But if the priest look on it, and, behold, there is no white hair in it and if it is not deeper than the skin but is even with the skin, then the priest shall observe it seven days;

22 And if it spreads much in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean; because it is the plague of leprosy.

22 And if518 it spread6581 much6581 abroad6581 in the skin,5785 then the priest3548 shall pronounce him unclean:2930 it is a plague.5061

23 But if the shiny spot stays in its place and spreads not, it is a scar of the boil, and the priest shall pronounce him clean.

23 But if518 the bright934 spot934 stay5975 in his place, and spread6581 not, it is a burning6867 boil;7822 and the priest3548 shall pronounce him clean.2891

24 Or if a person's body has a burn on its skin, and the quick flesh of the burn has a shiny spot, somewhat white or reddish,

24 Or176 if3588 there be any flesh,1320 in the skin5785 whereof there is a hot784 burning,4348 and the quick4241 flesh that burns4348 have1961 a white3836 bright934 spot,934 somewhat reddish,125 or176 white;3836

25 Then the priest shall look on it, and if the hair in the shiny spot has turned white, and it appears to be deeper than the skin, it is a leprosy broken out in the burn; wherefore the priest shall pronounce him unclean; because it is the plague of leprosy.

26 But if the priest look on it, and there is no white hair in the shiny spot and it is no deeper than the skin, but is even; then the priest shall observe it seven days;

27 And the priest shall look upon him the seventh day; and if it has spread in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean; because it is the plague of leprosy.

27 And the priest3548 shall look7200 on him the seventh7637 day:3117 and if518 it be spread6581 much6581 abroad6581 in the skin,5785 then the priest3548 shall pronounce him unclean:2930 it is the plague5061 of leprosy.6883

28 And if the shiny spot stays in its place and does not spread in the skin and is somewhat even, it is a scab of the burn, and the priest shall pronounce him clean; because it is the scab of the burn.

29 If a man or woman has a disease on the head or the beard;

29 If3588 a man376 or176 woman802 have1961 a plague5061 on the head7218 or176 the beard;2206

30 Then the priest shall see the disease; and, if it appears deeper than the skin, and there be in it yellow thin hair, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean; because it is the disease of leprosy of the head or beard.

31 And if the priest look on the disease, and it does not appear deeper than the skin and there is no black hair in it; then the priest shall observe it seven days;

32 And on the seventh day the priest shall look on the disease; and if the disease has not spread, and if there is no yellow hair in it and the appearance of the disease is not deeper than the skin.

33 Then he shall shave the sides of the sore, but the sore he shall not shave; and the priest shall observe the disease seven days more;

33 He shall be shaven,1548 but the scale5424 shall he not shave;1548 and the priest3548 shall shut5462 up him that has the scale5424 seven7651 days3117 more:8145

34 And on the seventh day the priest shall look on the disease; and if the disease has not spread in the skin and does not appear deeper than the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him clean, and he shall wash his clothes and be clean.

35 But if the disease spreads much in the skin after his cleansing,

35 But if3588 the scale5424 spread6581 much6581 in the skin5785 after310 his cleansing;2893

36 Then the priest shall look on him; and if the disease has spread in the skin, the priest shall not look for yellow hair; he is unclean.

36 Then the priest3548 shall look7200 on him: and, behold,2009 if the scale5424 be spread6581 in the skin,5785 the priest3548 shall not seek1239 for yellow6669 hair;8181 he is unclean.2931

37 But if the disease remains in its place and there is black hair grown up in it; the disease is healed, he is clean; and the priest shall pronounce him clean.

37 But if518 the scale5424 be in his sight5869 at a stay,5975 and that there is black7838 hair8181 grown6779 up therein; the scale5424 is healed,7495 he is clean:2889 and the priest3548 shall pronounce him clean.2891

38 If a man or a woman have in the skin of the body shiny spots, bright or white spots,

38 If a man376 also or176 a woman802 have1961 in the skin5785 of their flesh1320 bright934 spots,934 even white3836 bright934 spots;934

39 Then the priest shall look; and if the shiny spots in the skin of the body are darkish white or reddish, it is a scab that has grown on the skin; he is clean.

39 Then the priest3548 shall look:7200 and, behold,2009 if the bright934 spots934 in the skin5785 of their flesh1320 be darkish3544 white;3836 it is a freckled933 spot933 that grows6524 in the skin;5785 he is clean.2889

40 And the man whose hair is fallen off his head, he is bald; yet he is clean.

40 And the man376 whose3588 hair4803 is fallen4803 off his head,7218 he is bald;7142 yet is he clean.2889

41 And he whose hair has fallen off from the part of his head toward his face, he is forehead bald; yet he is clean.

41 And he that has his hair4803 fallen4803 off from the part of his head7218 toward his face,6440 he is forehead1371 bald:1371 yet is he clean.2889

42 And if there is on his bald head or bald forehead a white or reddish sore, it is leprosy breaking out on his bald head or his bald forehead.

42 And if3588 there be in the bald7146 head, or176 bald1372 forehead,1372 a white3836 reddish125 sore;5061 it is a leprosy6883 sprung6524 up in his bald7146 head, or176 his bald1372 forehead.1372

43 Then the priest shall look on the swelling of the sore; and if the sore is white or reddish on his bald head or on his bald forehead like the appearance of leprosy in the skin of the body,

44 He is a leprous man, he is unclean; the priest shall pronounce him utterly unclean; for the disease is on his head.

44 He is a leprous6879 man,376 he is unclean:2931 the priest3548 shall pronounce him utterly unclean;2930 his plague5061 is in his head.7218

45 And he who has the plague, his clothes shall be rent and his head shaved, and he shall cover his lips and call himself unclean.

45 And the leper6879 in whom834 the plague5061 is, his clothes899 shall be rent,6533 and his head7218 bore,6544 and he shall put a covering5844 on his upper8222 lip,8222 and shall cry,7121 Unclean,2931 unclean.2931

46 All the days wherein the plague is on him he shall be defiled; for he is unclean; he shall dwell alone; outside the camp shall his habitation be.

46 All3605 the days3117 wherein834 the plague5061 shall be in him he shall be defiled;2930 he is unclean:2931 he shall dwell3427 alone;909 without2351 the camp4264 shall his habitation4186 be.

47 If a garment has leprous disease in it, whether it be a woolen garment or a linen garment,

47 The garment899 also that the plague5061 of leprosy6883 is in, whether it be a woolen6785 garment,899 or176 a linen6593 garment;899

48 Whether it be in the warp or woof, of linen or of woolen, in a skin or in anything made of skin,

48 Whether176 it be in the warp,8359 or176 woof;6154 of linen,6593 or176 of woolen;6785 whether176 in a skin,5785 or176 in any3605 thing4399 made4399 of skin;5785

49 And if the plague is greenish or reddish in the garment or in the skin, either in the warp or in the woof or in anything of skin, it is a plague of leprosy and shall be shown to the priest;

50 And the priest shall look upon the plague and observe it seven days;

50 And the priest3548 shall look7200 on the plague,5061 and shut5462 up it that has the plague5061 seven7651 days:3117

51 And the priest shall look on the plague on the seventh day; if the disease has spread in the garment, either in the warp or in the woof or in a skin or in any article that is made of skin, the plague is a malignant leprosy; it is unclean.

52 He shall therefore burn the garment whether warp or woof, in woolen or in linen, or anything of skin in which is the plague; for it is a malignant leprosy; it shall be burned in the fire.

53 And if the priest shall look, and the plague has not spread in the garment either in the warp or in the woof or in anything of skin,

53 And if518 the priest3548 shall look,7200 and, behold,2009 the plague5061 be not spread6581 in the garment,899 either176 in the warp,8359 or176 in the woof,6154 or176 in any3605 thing3627 of skin;5785

54 Then the priest shall command that they wash the thing in which is the plague and he shall observe it seven days more;

54 Then the priest3548 shall command6680 that they wash3526 the thing wherein834 the plague5061 is, and he shall shut5462 it up seven7651 days3117 more:8145

55 And the priest shall look on the plague after it is washed; and if the plague has not changed its appearance and the disease has not changed its color and the plague has not spread, it is unclean; you shall burn it in the fire; it has been diseased when it was new or when old.

56 And if the priest sees that the disease has diminished after being washed, then he shall rend it out of the garment or out of the skin or out of the warp or out of the woof;

57 And if it appears still in the garment, either in the warp or in the woof or in anything of skin, they shall burn it with fire, for the plague has spread in it.

58 And the garment, either warp or woof or anything of skin which has been washed, if the disease departs from them, then it shall be washed the second time and shall be clean.

59 This is the law of the plague of leprosy in a garment of woolen or linen, either in the warp or woof or anything of skin, to pronounce it clean or to pronounce it unclean.
