Ezekiel

Chapter 3

1 MOREOVER he said to me, Son of man, eat that which you find; eat this scroll, and go speak to the house of Israel.

2 So I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat that scroll.

3 And he said to me, Son of man, fill your belly with this scroll that I give you. Then I ate it and it was in my mouth sweet as honey.

4 And he said to me, Son of man, go to them of the captivity, to the children of Israel, and speak my words to them.

5 For you are not sent to a people of a strange speech and of a hard language, but to the house of Israel;

6 Nor to many peoples whose speech you do not understand. Surely, if I send you to them, they would listen to you.

7 But the house of Israel will not listen to you; for they will not hearken to me; for all the house of Israel are impudent and stubborn of heart.

8 Behold, I have made your face strong against their faces, and your forehead hard against their foreheads.

9 As an adamant harder than flint have I made your forehead; fear them not, neither be dismayed at their looks, for they are a rebellious house.

10 Moreover he said to me, Son of man, all my words that I shall speak to you receive in your heart and hear with your ears.

11 And go and get you to them of the captivity, to the children of your people, and speak to them and tell them, Thus says the LORD God; perhaps they will listen, and tremble.

12 Then the spirit took me up, and I heard behind me the sound of a great rushing, saying, Blessed be the glory of the LORD from his place.

13 I heard also the sound of the wings of the living creatures touching one another and the sound of the wheels beside them and a noise of a great rushing.

14 So the spirit lifted me up, and carried me away, and I went in the strength of my spirit; and the hand of the LORD was strong upon me.

15 Then I came to the exiles at Tel-akib, who dwelt by the river Chebar, and I stayed there astonished among them seven days.

16 And it came to pass at the end of seven days that the word of the LORD came upon me, saying.

17 Son of man, I have made you a watchman to the house of Israel; therefore hear the words of my mouth and give them warning from me.

18 When I say to the sinner, You shall surely die; but you have not warned him, nor have you spoken to warn the sinner from his wicked way, to save his life; the same sinner shall die in his iniquity; and his blood will I require at your hand.

19 But if you warn the sinner, and he turn not from his sin nor from his evil way, he shall die in his sins; but you have delivered your soul.

20 Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, I will lay a stumbling block before him, and he shall die; because you have not given him warning, he shall die in his sins and his righteousness which he had done shall not be remembered; and his blood will I require at your hand.

21 Nevertheless, if you warn the righteous man, that he may not sin, and he does not sin, the righteous man shall surely live, because he is warned; and you have delivered your soul.

22 And the hand of the LORD was there upon me; and he said to me, Arise, go forth into the plain, and I will talk to you there.

23 Then I arose and went forth into the plain: and, behold, the glory of the LORD stood there, as the glory which I saw by the river Chebar; and I fell on my face.

24 Then the spirit entered into me and set me upon my feet, and spoke with me and said to me, Go, shut yourself in your house.

25 And you, O Son of man, behold, they shall put chains upon you, and shall bind you with them, that you cannot go out among them.

26 And I will make your tongue cleave to your palate, and you shall be dumb and shall not be to them a reprover; for they are a rebellious house.

27 But when I speak with you, I will open your mouth and you shall say to them, Thus says the LORD God: He that hears, let him hear; and he that trembles, let him tremble; for they are a rebellious house.

1 Бог мне сказал: «Сын человеческий, съешь то, что ты видишь, съешь этот свиток, а после этого иди и говори с семьёй Израиля».

2 Я открыл рот, и Он дал мне съесть этот свиток.

3 Тогда Бог сказал: «Сын человеческий, Я даю тебе этот свиток, съешь его, и пускай он наполнит тебя». Когда я съел тот свиток, то у меня во рту стало сладко, словно от мёда.

4 Тогда сказал мне Бог: «Сын человеческий, иди к семье Израиля и говори с ней Моими словами.

5 Я не посылаю тебя к чужеземцам, которых ты не можешь понять. Тебе не надо учить другой язык, потому что Я посылаю тебя к семье Израиля.

6 Я не посылаю тебя в разные страны, где люди говорят на языках, которые ты не понимаешь. Если бы ты пошёл к ним и говорил с ними, они бы слушали тебя.

7 Нет, Я посылаю тебя к семье Израиля, к упрямым и непокорным людям. Они откажутся слушать тебя, потому что они отказываются слушать Меня.

8 Но Я сделаю тебя не менее упрямым, чем они, а твоя голова будет крепче их лбов.

9 Алмаз крепче кремня, и так же крепче будет твоя голова. Ты будешь упрямей их и не будешь бояться этих людей, всегда восстающих против Меня».

10 Бог обратился ко мне с такими словами: «Сын человеческий, ты должен слушать Мои слова и помнить каждое из них.

11 И тогда иди ко всем, кто в изгнании, и скажи им: „Так говорит наш Господь Всемогущий!” Они не будут слушать тебя и не остановятся в грехах своих, но ты всё равно должен им об этом рассказать».

12 И поднял меня после этого Дух, и услышал я позади себя громкий голос, как гром, который сказал: «Благословенна слава Господа!»

13 Затем крылья животных пришли в движение и подняли громкий шум, касаясь друг друга, и колёса возле них загрохотали сильнее грома.

14 Дух поднял меня и унёс. Я был очень зол и сердит, но я чувствовал силу Господнюю во мне.

15 Затем я отправился к людям Израиля, которые были вынуждены жить в Тель-Авиве, возле канала Кебар. Я оставался с ними на протяжении семи дней и, находясь в глубоком потрясении, я не сказал ни слова.

16 Через семь дней Господь обратился ко мне с такими словами:

17 «Сын человеческий, Я делаю тебя хранителем народа Израиля. Я расскажу тебе обо всём плохом, что с ним случится, и ты должен об этом его предупредить.

18 Если Я предопределю этому злому народу умереть, то ты должен рассказать израильтянам об этом. Предупреди их, чтобы они изменили свою грешную жизнь. Если ты не предупредишь их, то они умрут из-за своих грехов, но Я сделаю тебя ответственным за их смерть.

19 Но, если ты предупредишь их, а они не изменятся и не прекратят творить зло, тогда они умрут из-за своих грехов. Но если ты предупредил их, то тем самым ты спас свою жизнь.

20 Или, может быть, хороший человек отступится от своих добрых дел, и тогда Я забуду всё то добро, которое он совершил, и навлеку на него беды. Он умрёт из-за своего греха, но Я сделаю тебя ответственным за его смерть, потому что ты его не предупредил.

21 Но если ты предупредишь доброго человека и убедишь его не грешить, то он будет жить, потому что ты предупредил его, и тем самым ты спас душу свою».

22 Затем ко мне пришла Господняя сила, и Он сказал мне: «Встань и пойди в долину, Я буду там с тобой говорить».

23 Тогда я встал и пошёл в долину, где находилась слава Господняя, которую я видел возле канала Кебар. Увидев её, я припал лицом к земле,

24 но Дух вошёл в меня и поставил меня на ноги. Он сказал: «Иди домой и закройся в своём доме.

25 Сын человеческий, люди с верёвками придут и свяжут тебя, не дав тебе обратится к народу.

26 Я сделаю так, что язык твой присохнет к гортани, ты онемеешь и не сможешь наставлять этих людей на праведный путь, потому что они восстали против Меня.

27 Но Я буду говорить с тобой, Я верну тебе речь, и ты должен будешь сказать: „Так говорит Господь Всемогущий!” И если человек захочет слушать, то пусть слушает, но, если же он слушать не захочет, пусть не слушает, потому что эти люди всегда восстают против Меня».

1 MOREOVER he said to me, Son of man, eat that which you find; eat this scroll, and go speak to the house of Israel.

1 Бог мне сказал: «Сын человеческий, съешь то, что ты видишь, съешь этот свиток, а после этого иди и говори с семьёй Израиля».

2 So I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat that scroll.

2 Я открыл рот, и Он дал мне съесть этот свиток.

3 And he said to me, Son of man, fill your belly with this scroll that I give you. Then I ate it and it was in my mouth sweet as honey.

3 Тогда Бог сказал: «Сын человеческий, Я даю тебе этот свиток, съешь его, и пускай он наполнит тебя». Когда я съел тот свиток, то у меня во рту стало сладко, словно от мёда.

4 And he said to me, Son of man, go to them of the captivity, to the children of Israel, and speak my words to them.

4 Тогда сказал мне Бог: «Сын человеческий, иди к семье Израиля и говори с ней Моими словами.

5 For you are not sent to a people of a strange speech and of a hard language, but to the house of Israel;

5 Я не посылаю тебя к чужеземцам, которых ты не можешь понять. Тебе не надо учить другой язык, потому что Я посылаю тебя к семье Израиля.

6 Nor to many peoples whose speech you do not understand. Surely, if I send you to them, they would listen to you.

6 Я не посылаю тебя в разные страны, где люди говорят на языках, которые ты не понимаешь. Если бы ты пошёл к ним и говорил с ними, они бы слушали тебя.

7 But the house of Israel will not listen to you; for they will not hearken to me; for all the house of Israel are impudent and stubborn of heart.

7 Нет, Я посылаю тебя к семье Израиля, к упрямым и непокорным людям. Они откажутся слушать тебя, потому что они отказываются слушать Меня.

8 Behold, I have made your face strong against their faces, and your forehead hard against their foreheads.

8 Но Я сделаю тебя не менее упрямым, чем они, а твоя голова будет крепче их лбов.

9 As an adamant harder than flint have I made your forehead; fear them not, neither be dismayed at their looks, for they are a rebellious house.

9 Алмаз крепче кремня, и так же крепче будет твоя голова. Ты будешь упрямей их и не будешь бояться этих людей, всегда восстающих против Меня».

10 Moreover he said to me, Son of man, all my words that I shall speak to you receive in your heart and hear with your ears.

10 Бог обратился ко мне с такими словами: «Сын человеческий, ты должен слушать Мои слова и помнить каждое из них.

11 And go and get you to them of the captivity, to the children of your people, and speak to them and tell them, Thus says the LORD God; perhaps they will listen, and tremble.

11 И тогда иди ко всем, кто в изгнании, и скажи им: „Так говорит наш Господь Всемогущий!” Они не будут слушать тебя и не остановятся в грехах своих, но ты всё равно должен им об этом рассказать».

12 Then the spirit took me up, and I heard behind me the sound of a great rushing, saying, Blessed be the glory of the LORD from his place.

12 И поднял меня после этого Дух, и услышал я позади себя громкий голос, как гром, который сказал: «Благословенна слава Господа!»

13 I heard also the sound of the wings of the living creatures touching one another and the sound of the wheels beside them and a noise of a great rushing.

13 Затем крылья животных пришли в движение и подняли громкий шум, касаясь друг друга, и колёса возле них загрохотали сильнее грома.

14 So the spirit lifted me up, and carried me away, and I went in the strength of my spirit; and the hand of the LORD was strong upon me.

14 Дух поднял меня и унёс. Я был очень зол и сердит, но я чувствовал силу Господнюю во мне.

15 Затем я отправился к людям Израиля, которые были вынуждены жить в Тель-Авиве, возле канала Кебар. Я оставался с ними на протяжении семи дней и, находясь в глубоком потрясении, я не сказал ни слова.

16 And it came to pass at the end of seven days that the word of the LORD came upon me, saying.

16 Через семь дней Господь обратился ко мне с такими словами:

17 Son of man, I have made you a watchman to the house of Israel; therefore hear the words of my mouth and give them warning from me.

17 «Сын человеческий, Я делаю тебя хранителем народа Израиля. Я расскажу тебе обо всём плохом, что с ним случится, и ты должен об этом его предупредить.

18 When I say to the sinner, You shall surely die; but you have not warned him, nor have you spoken to warn the sinner from his wicked way, to save his life; the same sinner shall die in his iniquity; and his blood will I require at your hand.

18 Если Я предопределю этому злому народу умереть, то ты должен рассказать израильтянам об этом. Предупреди их, чтобы они изменили свою грешную жизнь. Если ты не предупредишь их, то они умрут из-за своих грехов, но Я сделаю тебя ответственным за их смерть.

19 But if you warn the sinner, and he turn not from his sin nor from his evil way, he shall die in his sins; but you have delivered your soul.

19 Но, если ты предупредишь их, а они не изменятся и не прекратят творить зло, тогда они умрут из-за своих грехов. Но если ты предупредил их, то тем самым ты спас свою жизнь.

20 Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, I will lay a stumbling block before him, and he shall die; because you have not given him warning, he shall die in his sins and his righteousness which he had done shall not be remembered; and his blood will I require at your hand.

20 Или, может быть, хороший человек отступится от своих добрых дел, и тогда Я забуду всё то добро, которое он совершил, и навлеку на него беды. Он умрёт из-за своего греха, но Я сделаю тебя ответственным за его смерть, потому что ты его не предупредил.

21 Nevertheless, if you warn the righteous man, that he may not sin, and he does not sin, the righteous man shall surely live, because he is warned; and you have delivered your soul.

21 Но если ты предупредишь доброго человека и убедишь его не грешить, то он будет жить, потому что ты предупредил его, и тем самым ты спас душу свою».

22 And the hand of the LORD was there upon me; and he said to me, Arise, go forth into the plain, and I will talk to you there.

22 Затем ко мне пришла Господняя сила, и Он сказал мне: «Встань и пойди в долину, Я буду там с тобой говорить».

23 Тогда я встал и пошёл в долину, где находилась слава Господняя, которую я видел возле канала Кебар. Увидев её, я припал лицом к земле,

24 но Дух вошёл в меня и поставил меня на ноги. Он сказал: «Иди домой и закройся в своём доме.
