Ezekiel

Chapter 14

1 THEN came certain of the elders of Israel to me to inquire of the LORD, and sat before me.

2 And the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

3 Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their heart, and put the stumbling block of their iniquity before their faces; I will seek vengeance from them.

4 Therefore speak to them and say to them, Thus says the LORD God: Every man of the house of Israel who sets up his idols in his heart and puts the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face and comes to the prophet, I the LORD will be a witness against him because of the multitude of his idols,

5 That I may take the house of Israel in the imagination of their own hearts, because they have departed from me through all their idols.

6 Therefore say to the house of Israel, Thus says the LORD God: Repent, and turn away from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations.

7 For every one of the house of Israel, or of the proselytes who dwell in Israel, who departs from me and sets up idols in his heart and puts the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face and comes to a prophet to inquire of him, I the LORD will be a witness against him;

8 And I will pour out my anger against that man, and I will make him a sign and a proverb, and I will destroy him from the midst of my people; and you shall know that I am the LORD.

9 And when a prophet shall err and speak a word, I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand against him, and I will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.

10 And they shall both bear the punishment of their iniquity; the punishment of him who seeks to inquire shall be like the punishment of the prophet,

11 That the house of Israel may go no more astray from me, neither be polluted any more with all their transgressions; but that they may be my people and I may be their God, says the LORD God.

12 The word of the LORD came to me, saying,

13 Son of man, if a land should sin against me and commit iniquity before me, then I will stretch out my hand against it, and will break the staff of its wheat; and I will send famine upon it, and will destroy man and beast from it;

14 Though these three men, Noah, Daniel and Job were in the land, they would deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, says the LORD God.

15 And if I should send vicious beasts against the land, and they destroy it so that it become desolate, so that no man could pass through because of the wild beasts;

16 Though these three men were in it, as I live, says the LORD God, they would deliver neither sons nor daughters; but they alone would be delivered and the land would be made desolate.

17 Or if I should bring a sword upon that land, and say, Sword, go through that land, and I destroy man and beast from it;

18 Though these three men were in it, as I live, says the LORD God, they would deliver neither sons nor daughters, but they alone would be delivered.

19 Or if I should send a pestilence into that land, and pour out my fury upon it in blood, and destroy from it man and beast;

20 Though Noah, Daniel and Job were in it, as I live, says the LORD God, they would deliver neither son nor daughter; but they would only deliver themselves by their righteousness.

21 For thus says the LORD God: How much more when I send four sore judgments upon Jerusalem: the sword and famine and vicious beasts and pestilence, to destroy from it man and beast.

22 Yet there shall be left in it those who will be delivered, who will bring forth sons and daughters; and even they shall come forth to you, and you shall see their ways and their doings; and you shall be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, even concerning all that I have brought upon it.

23 And they shall comfort you when you see their ways and their doings; and you shall know that I have not done without cause all that I have done in it, says the LORD God.

2 И было ко мне слово1697 Господне:3068

3 сын1121 человеческий!120 Сии люди582 допустили5927 идолов1544 своих в сердце3820 свое и поставили5414 соблазн4383 нечестия5771 своего перед5227 лицем6440 своим: могу1875 ли Я отвечать1875 им?

4 Посему говори1696 с ними и скажи559 им: так говорит559 Господь136 Бог:3069 если кто376 из дома1004 Израилева3478 допустит5927 идолов1544 своих в сердце3820 свое и поставит7760 соблазн4383 нечестия5771 своего перед5227 лицем6440 своим, и придет935 к пророку,5030 — то Я, Господь,3068 могу ли, при множестве7230 идолов1544 его, дать6030 ему935 ответ?6030

5 Пусть дом1004 Израилев3478 поймет8610 в сердце3820 своем, что все они через своих идолов1544 сделались2114 чужими2114 для Меня.

6 Посему скажи559 дому1004 Израилеву:3478 так говорит559 Господь136 Бог:3069 обратитесь7725 и отвратитесь7725 от идолов1544 ваших, и от всех мерзостей8441 ваших отвратите7725 лице6440 ваше.

7 Ибо если кто376 из дома1004 Израилева3478 и из пришельцев,1616 которые живут1481 у Израиля,3478 отложится5144 от310 Меня и допустит5927 идолов1544 своих в сердце3820 свое, и поставит7760 соблазн4383 нечестия5771 своего перед5227 лицем6440 своим, и придет935 к пророку5030 вопросить1875 Меня через него, — то Я, Господь,3068 дам6030 ли ему ответ6030 от Себя?

8 Я обращу5414 лице6440 Мое против того человека376 и сокрушу8074 его в знамение226 и притчу,4912 и истреблю3772 его из8432 народа5971 Моего, и узнаете,3045 что Я Господь.3068

9 А если пророк5030 допустит6601 обольстить6601 себя и скажет1696 слово1697 так, как бы Я, Господь,3068 научил6601 этого пророка,5030 то Я простру5186 на него руку3027 Мою и истреблю8045 его из8432 народа5971 Моего, Израиля.3478

10 И понесут5375 вину5771 беззакония5771 своего: какова вина5771 вопрошающего,1875 такова будет вина5771 и пророка,5030

11 чтобы впредь дом1004 Израилев3478 не уклонялся8582 от310 Меня и чтобы более не оскверняли2930 себя всякими беззакониями6588 своими, но чтобы были Моим народом,5971 и Я был их Богом,430 говорит5002 Господь136 Бог.3069

12 И было ко мне слово1697 Господне:3068

13 сын1121 человеческий!120 если бы какая земля776 согрешила2398 предо Мною, вероломно4604 отступив4603 от Меня, и Я простер5186 на нее руку3027 Мою, и истребил7665 в ней хлебную3899 опору,4294 и послал7971 на нее голод,7458 и стал3772 губить3772 на ней людей120 и скот;929

14 и если бы нашлись в8432 ней сии три7969 мужа:582 Ной,5146 Даниил1840 и Иов,347 — то они праведностью6666 своею спасли5337 бы только свои души,5315 говорит5002 Господь136 Бог.3069

15 Или, если3863 бы Я послал5674 на эту землю776 лютых7451 зверей,2416 которые осиротили7921 бы ее, и она по причине зверей2416 сделалась пустою8077 и непроходимою:5674

16 то сии три7969 мужа582 среди8432 нее, — живу2416 Я, говорит5002 Господь136 Бог,3069 — не спасли5337 бы ни сыновей,1121 ни дочерей,1323 а они, только они спаслись5337 бы, земля776 же сделалась бы пустынею.8077

17 Или, если бы Я навел935 на ту землю776 меч2719 и сказал:559 «меч,2719 пройди5674 по земле!»,776 и стал3772 истреблять3772 на ней людей120 и скот,929

18 то сии три7969 мужа582 среди8432 нее, — живу2416 Я, говорит5002 Господь136 Бог,3069 — не спасли5337 бы ни сыновей,1121 ни дочерей,1323 а они только спаслись5337 бы.

19 Или, если бы Я послал7971 на ту землю776 моровую1698 язву1698 и излил8210 на нее ярость2534 Мою в кровопролитии,1818 чтобы истребить3772 на ней людей120 и скот:929

20 то Ной,5146 Даниил1840 и Иов347 среди8432 нее, — живу2416 Я, говорит5002 Господь136 Бог,3069 — не спасли5337 бы ни сыновей,1121 ни518 дочерей;1323 праведностью6666 своею они спасли5337 бы только свои души.5315

21 Ибо так говорит559 Господь136 Бог:3069 если и четыре702 тяжкие7451 казни8201 Мои: меч,2719 и голод,7458 и лютых7451 зверей,2416 и моровую1698 язву1698 пошлю7971 на Иерусалим,3389 чтобы истребить3772 в нем людей120 и скот,929

22 и тогда останется3498 в нем остаток,6413 сыновья1121 и дочери,1323 которые будут3318 выведены3318 оттуда; вот, они выйдут3318 к вам, и вы увидите7200 поведение1870 их и дела5949 их, и утешитесь5162 о том бедствии,7451 которое Я навел935 на Иерусалим,3389 о всем, что Я навел935 на него.

23 Они утешат5162 вас, когда вы увидите7200 поведение1870 их и дела5949 их; и узнаете,3045 что Я не напрасно2600 сделал6213 все то, что сделал6213 в нем, говорит5002 Господь136 Бог.3069

3 сын1121 человеческий!120 Сии люди582 допустили5927 идолов1544 своих в сердце3820 свое и поставили5414 соблазн4383 нечестия5771 своего перед5227 лицем6440 своим: могу1875 ли Я отвечать1875 им?

4 Therefore speak to them and say to them, Thus says the LORD God: Every man of the house of Israel who sets up his idols in his heart and puts the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face and comes to the prophet, I the LORD will be a witness against him because of the multitude of his idols,

5 That I may take the house of Israel in the imagination of their own hearts, because they have departed from me through all their idols.

5 Пусть дом1004 Израилев3478 поймет8610 в сердце3820 своем, что все они через своих идолов1544 сделались2114 чужими2114 для Меня.

6 Therefore say to the house of Israel, Thus says the LORD God: Repent, and turn away from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations.

6 Посему скажи559 дому1004 Израилеву:3478 так говорит559 Господь136 Бог:3069 обратитесь7725 и отвратитесь7725 от идолов1544 ваших, и от всех мерзостей8441 ваших отвратите7725 лице6440 ваше.

7 Ибо если кто376 из дома1004 Израилева3478 и из пришельцев,1616 которые живут1481 у Израиля,3478 отложится5144 от310 Меня и допустит5927 идолов1544 своих в сердце3820 свое, и поставит7760 соблазн4383 нечестия5771 своего перед5227 лицем6440 своим, и придет935 к пророку5030 вопросить1875 Меня через него, — то Я, Господь,3068 дам6030 ли ему ответ6030 от Себя?

8 And I will pour out my anger against that man, and I will make him a sign and a proverb, and I will destroy him from the midst of my people; and you shall know that I am the LORD.

8 Я обращу5414 лице6440 Мое против того человека376 и сокрушу8074 его в знамение226 и притчу,4912 и истреблю3772 его из8432 народа5971 Моего, и узнаете,3045 что Я Господь.3068

9 And when a prophet shall err and speak a word, I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand against him, and I will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.

9 А если пророк5030 допустит6601 обольстить6601 себя и скажет1696 слово1697 так, как бы Я, Господь,3068 научил6601 этого пророка,5030 то Я простру5186 на него руку3027 Мою и истреблю8045 его из8432 народа5971 Моего, Израиля.3478

10 And they shall both bear the punishment of their iniquity; the punishment of him who seeks to inquire shall be like the punishment of the prophet,

10 И понесут5375 вину5771 беззакония5771 своего: какова вина5771 вопрошающего,1875 такова будет вина5771 и пророка,5030

11 That the house of Israel may go no more astray from me, neither be polluted any more with all their transgressions; but that they may be my people and I may be their God, says the LORD God.

12 The word of the LORD came to me, saying,

16 Though these three men were in it, as I live, says the LORD God, they would deliver neither sons nor daughters; but they alone would be delivered and the land would be made desolate.

22 Yet there shall be left in it those who will be delivered, who will bring forth sons and daughters; and even they shall come forth to you, and you shall see their ways and their doings; and you shall be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, even concerning all that I have brought upon it.

22 и тогда останется3498 в нем остаток,6413 сыновья1121 и дочери,1323 которые будут3318 выведены3318 оттуда; вот, они выйдут3318 к вам, и вы увидите7200 поведение1870 их и дела5949 их, и утешитесь5162 о том бедствии,7451 которое Я навел935 на Иерусалим,3389 о всем, что Я навел935 на него.

23 And they shall comfort you when you see their ways and their doings; and you shall know that I have not done without cause all that I have done in it, says the LORD God.
